We had a 10 hour delay getting there and they still accommodated us. Alain was our amazing guide, highly recommend him! We were so tired and frustrated from our flight experience and as soon as we got in the car and started hearing about the city our whole outlook on the trip changed and we had a fantastic time. We learned so much about Paris, got amazing photos and checked everything off our list. Thank you Alain for a fantastic tour!

Communication is excellent; David tells you exactly where he will pick you up, and the tour is very enjoyable and interesting, we were very tired after a red eye flight but he accommodated our needs.

David never rushed us and gave us 30-40 minutes at each stop to take pictures and explore a little. Notified us when he thought he was running late, he wasn't, navigated road closures due to a bike race. Very knowledgeable, nice man. We were a party of two American couples that fit in his vehicle. We all four loved the tour and highly recommend. Thanks, David, we loved it!

Had a long layover in Paris and did a day tour with David. He was FANTASTIC! David catered the tour to what I wanted to see and many things that I didn’t know even existed. We took as much time at each location as I wanted and he was very knowledgeable about not only the history of Paris, but also France and Europe in general. He was very kind, attentive, and thoughtful. I highly recommend him and will use him again on my next visit!

David was FANTASTIC! Great communication before the trip! Excellent directions for meeting us at the airport. We were 4 senior ladies at the end of our Europe travels, so it was great that David could pick us up at the airport. Because we had so much luggage, David brought is to our hotel, then started the tour of all of the iconic “must see” sights in Paris. He allowed time for stoping for photo ops and had great suggestions of which way to go when we stopped. He was a very careful driver and a wealth of knowledge about Paris! I would hire him again as we would never gotten to do so much without David as our guide!

Wonderful, wonderful tour with David! He met us at the airport as promised and we hit the road! He was knowledgeable about Paris and gave us some great history highlights. He also talked to us like we were friends and not clients. We were able to make stops here and there for drinks and snacks and the best part was he asked us what we wanted to see and then tailored our time around that! So it was really a personal tour. We only had a short time but we got a lot in so I would definitely recommend this tour if you are going through Paris.

We had an incredible day exploring Paris with our private tour guide David! Traveling with my mom and 9-year-old son, it was so nice to have a tour tailored to our family. We visited all of the major sights, but what made the experience special was that we could go completely at our own pace—stopping for photos, taking breaks when needed, and spending extra time at the places we loved most. If I could give more stars I would! This is THE trip to take if you have a layover in Paris! David exceeded our expectations in all areas- the actual tour, safety, kindness, value, time management, communication. Our college-age daughter went on David’s tour during her layover. She saw everything she wanted to and more. David told her so much history about every site, and she could stay as long or short as she wanted. David’s communication was excellent on pick up location, time, type of car he had - everything to reassure a solo traveler (and her parents!) He even helped her to the right place on return to CDG when she was nervous about getting lost. We highly recommend David! If you’re looking at different companies for a layover tour like we did, don’t hesitate to choose this one!

It was the perfect tour for our long layover in Paris. We were able to see everything David had on the itinerary. He made sure we had the best photo opportunities and we were able to go to a local cafe and have crepes. Had a great family day tour of Paris with David. David collected us from CDG , done day tour of Paris and dropped us off at Disney. Was a great way to see all the top attractions plus a few extra. David was so friendly and kids loved it, were able get at and spend how long we wanted at any location, it was so hassle free with the kids, was a highlight of our trip.. David had a lovel car too, I would highly recomend.

David is simply the best! Period. We had a layover in Paris on our way to Egypt. David made it so easy with excellent instructions days in advance and touched basis several times before we even arrived. He tracked when we landed and welcomed us to France. He gave detailed instructions on where to meet him. Very courteous. As we drove to Paris from the airport, he shared a lot of history and a lay of the city. Local and historical knowledge. We proceeded to the Eiffel Tower, where he told us the best pictures could be taken. He even recommended where to go for a croissant and coffee, absolutely exceptional. He would drop us at great locations right in front of the site, and then we would send a message when ready to be picked up. He even provided some customization for us, as we are geocachers and wanted to get some at the sites. We just can't say enough positive things about David and his layover tour. He is absolutely incredible! He got us back to the airport in great time with instructions. He made our limited time in Paris a treasured part of our trip!

David, by far, made our first visit to Paris an amazing one! He was very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. It’s obvious he loves his city. We saw everything we hoped for. Our adventure started when David picked us up from our hotel. His personality was a breath of fresh air. If he suggests any changes, just go with. I am so happy he suggested to start the tour early. The crowds can build very quickly. Dave is a great listener and inquires about your interests for places to visit in Paris. He goes out of way to check off as many boxes as possible. Things happen, people get sick but people trusted their experience to you. Judging from the reviews, I am certain David is a great tour guide but unfortunately I will never know for sure. After months of careful planning, we were cancelled due to covid. That is perfectly understandable… what isn’t understandable or professional is leaving your clients without options. No suggested alternatives or back up plan. You will likely have a wonderful time with David but be warned, HAVE A BACKUP PLAN because he won’t.

Fun panoramic tour of Paris during our layover. Our guide David picked us up from the airport in his car and took us to see all the main, popular sights of Paris. Though our time was limited, and we could not spend too much time at each location, we felt this was a great option for a long (8-9 hours) layover. Davis was pleasant to be around and knowledgeable about his city. After the tour, he drove us back to the airport. Highly recommend.

Daniel was AMAZING! This was a small group of 14. He paced the walking with frequent stops and interesting stories. Being a US native meant there was no trouble with foreign accents! And he spoke clearly and loudly for every one to hear. I highly recommend him and greatly appreciated the morning that we spent together.

We booked this tour through Viator months in advance, planning a special layover experience in Paris for our daughters’ first visit. We specifically chose a flight with a 9-hour layover so we could take this guided tour and see the city’s major sights in a short, structured way. Leading up to the tour, communication with David was excellent. Unfortunately, just as we were preparing to clear customs at CDG, we received messages with photos of David in a hospital, informing us he had a medical emergency and had to cancel. We absolutely understand emergencies happen and are relieved to know David is okay. However, what was disappointing was that no backup option was offered, just an immediate refund. While we appreciate that we were made whole financially, the missed opportunity was significant. With no alternative guide or solution provided, we were left scrambling to make use of our limited time in Paris. Rather than store our bags, navigate unfamiliar public transit, and attempt something ourselves in the compressed layover window, we ended up remaining at the airport to avoid the inevitable stressful and unstructured experience. This situation highlights a key drawback when booking with an individual guide through Viator, if something goes wrong, there may be no support or replacement available. In hindsight, booking through a larger tour company with backup personnel would have likely ensured the experience still happened. We sincerely wish David a full recovery and appreciate the quick refund but we share this review to help future travelers weigh the risks when booking through Viator with independent hosts.
