Bad experience. The offer was better than the final card. Museumpas was not included while The offer during Booking was included. De directions on the site where not precise location. The guide was late by the Eiffeltower. At eating experience was the meal less than the information on the site. Some attractions are to far from eachother so the travel time is long between the attractions. Short openingtimes to combine attractions. Big bus tour is one way and don’t stop with the attractions
We had so much fun exploring Paris and did many of the Go- City experiences. The louvre was amazing with 2 huge floors to explore. Easily spent 2 plus hours walking through historic rooms imaging living in the 1800’s. The museum stores had cool gifts at great prices. Bought a beautiful bracelet and an artsy apron. Would definitely return and explore more. Hope Napolean’s quarters are open for the next trip. Restaurants were all great with Go City. Criss crossed the whole city to check out so many parks and museums. The Go City pass was definitely worth it.
This was decent overall. There are a lot of bookings and reservations you need to do additionally to having the pass, including the Paris Museum Pass. Go City didn’t mention needing to book a reservation for the opera, but we did need to when we got there. We might have missed out on that because of the lack of accurate information from Go City. I called Go City about the bike rental, as it wasn’t working to book a reservation online. They were helpful with that. All in all, there’s lots to see and the pass helps you do more than you might otherwise, but it’s exhausting. The best experience with the pass was going to the top of the Arc de Triomphe and seeing the view of the city and the Eiffel Tower. They let us skip the line with our pass. We also benefited from the food places included and probably got the best value for the money from those, with 4 of us.
We loved using the Paris Pass. I made sure ahead of time that we were going to see enough places to make the cost worth our while. It was great to be able to pay ahead of time for the pass. The downside of the pass was the learning curve. It took a lot of research to figure out the time frame and plan the itinerary. Most of the museums needed a museum pass. The Paris pass came with this pass but only for 2 days. So it took time to figure out what museums we wanted to see and how to fit them all into 2 days. My advice is buy this early and plan well in advance to give yourself time to figure it all out. Also, check hours on the pass close to your trip. I found that things changed from the time I planned my trip and when we actually went.
Our tour was amazing! Along with walking around the city to see places J.K Rowling was inspired for her books our guide took us to so many other places we may have missed on our own without her! Ended at the Shakespeare book store near the park with the oldest tree in Paris - been there since the 1600’s that inspired the womping willow. She’ll also tell you why to download flash invaders app to your phone for the walk. Thank you for such an amazing time..
Great way to see the attractions in Paris & experience some good food spots for lunch as you do it
GoCity pass is a great way to explore new cities. It conveniently and affordably gives you access to many sites, museums, and events. It also gives you access to exciting events that you previously may not have thought of doing, providing new and fun ways to explore the city. Highly recommend!
Although the pass is pricey, it makes life significantly easier for you, especially if you really want to play the tourist. The Bus can function as transit, although keep in mind its not always quick, depending where on the route you're coming from or want to go. I'm honestly not sure how much it actually saves you unless you want to run yourself ragged, but it does help with planning, etc.
Very easy to use at all locations. A full 1-week option would have been nice. Enjoyed the many opportunities to try food and drink. Every restaurant was v ery welcoming and prepared to serve up the included offer. Skip the line would have been helpful for the river cruise; the lines were extremely long in the evening. Don't remember if the option was available, but would like to have had the option to upgrade the Eiffel Tower from climb to elevator to 2nd floor. Another helpful feature would be the inclusion of a transportation pass. Very easy to get help any time of day.
Well our first full day in Paris. Passes seem to have been cancelled?? Not by us? Chat line is useless. We are at a loss now. Our preplanning was totally based on this. My wife has wasted all that time.
We purchased the 6 day Go City Pass for Paris (all inclusive) which comes with a 6 day Paris museum pass. We have used Go City Pass previously and overall we found it to save us money provided you plan to do many activities. The more you see the more you save! Also if you go to an attraction and its disappointing you can leave and go somewhere else without feeling you "lost money". In Paris, many of the museums are free for kids so worth doing some calculations to see if it worth buying a pass for the kids. One thing we noted about buying the all inclusive pass is that it includes the Paris museum pass which you download as a pdf file (which has a barcode) so its separate from the GoCity pass. When you go to museum they will scan the barcode on the pdf file NOT the GoCity pass. The trick here is that the Paris Museum pass is only activated when you first use the museum pass. So you can activate the GoCity pass first and use it for 6 days (or the # of days you bought) but don't visit any of the museums yet. After 6 days you can then start visiting all the museums, your museum pass will only be activated when you first scan the pdf file with the barcode and then you have another 6 days (its actually 144 hours from the time of the 1st scan) to visit all the museums. You can get actually get 12 days of activities with a 6 day pass. That is until they figure a way to block this!
First experience we tried was closed, so couldn’t use it, and as the Eiffel Tower experience had to be a set time, we couldn’t fit in another item in the morning, so we wasted half the day. The Eiffel tour was good, but could have paid €14.50 and fitted it in when it suited us. We used the big bus ticket, and only used that once as it ended up a packed bus and couldn’t get on, the first one and we waited 25 mins (busses are not 7-11 minutes apart). Went to see note dame, queues were huge and backed out of the square and over the bridge, so couldn’t use that ticket. Went to get on the Big bus again, first bus full and after a 30 minute wait we gave up and used an Ubers for the rest of the day (Tootbus stop off more places and are more frequent). We then finished off with a river cruise in the evening. For us it was not good value, as the things we did, I could have paid for at the venue and had a much more relaxing time, it’s almost impossible to do enough to justify the all in day pass, so I wouldn’t bother, just do things at your own pace!
The card is a good deal IF you are intentional about planning and maximizing the card value - for us this meant multiple pre-planned activities daily. That works if you like to have a schedule, don't want to miss the big attractions and be on the go during your trip. We did a 4 days pass, and stayed in Paris 6 days (the 6th being our departure) - so we were busy!
This is a total scam! They completely ruined the holidays for my family. I booked a visit to Versailles and when my family arrived there, we were told that they never heard about Go City and to them we did not pay anything. The same happened at other attractions. However, since we booked it through Go City no money was returned to us. This is considered to be "a used pass". They told us that this was not their problem that the pass was not usable anywhere in the city. So, in short - no attractions (because you have to book in advance and when you arrive there no tickets are available already), no money, and a ton of humiliation because the staff looks at you are the scammer. Thank you very much Go City! Much appreciated.
Overall a good product, but several times when we clicked on the map link option to take us to a site it gave misleading or wrong directions. Certainly saved money over paying for individual visits to sites. Great options to choose from as well.
we purchased our pass a year in advanced. I believe there has been some changes since then but the cost then and cost now still makes it worth it. We picked 2-4 things to do a day from the pass and choose the 6 days pass. The food, museums, and tours were fantastic.
I love this concept and would use it again. Cons: I did find it difficult to use the app to map things out - I found myself having to do a ton of cross referencing from the app to my laptop. I wish the app and laptop shared an account so I could plan on a big screen at home and then use my phone on the trip. I would like the map to have an interactive icon where all the available attractions are so it would be easier to find nearby attractions rather than the app using a list of things that I then need to map out on my own. On another note, it was always a bummer to get somewhere only to be told of a malfunction, or out of hours, etc. It would be really nice if the app were more iteractive and "real time" so attractions could update hours and limitations in real time. Pros: But on the positive side, it was really nice to have all the attractions listed because I feel like it did all the heavy lifting for me in terms of identifying the things a tourist should see - and also giving me new ideas. I found the walking tours to be especially cool. I can't imagine seeing a city without them - you would miss out on so much cool information without them, and you go to places you would never go on your own. It was a really good value of you are going to be aggressive about moving around the city to see things - which we did!
The pass worked as advertised, but with caveats. Most of the walking tours required a credit card hold in the event one is a no show. In which case, they would bill you directly for the price of the tour unless you cancel with 24 hrs notice. It would make more sense if they just put the tour through on the pass — present or not. Since you can only use the pass once for each attraction this would be fair, but it seemed potentially punitive to do both. In general, you really have to go, go, go to make the pass worthwhile. If no issues, it can be a good value, but in our experience, there were a few hiccups that came up. If you need help or information, we found customer service mostly had a bad attitude, seemed poorly trained and was rather useless.
We maximized this pass by planning each area in each day so it gave us a focus and allow us to do some activities that we never would’ve considered. We had the four day pass with the museum edition and went to see the Louvre, Versailles , the pantheon Musea D’Orsay . They also saw the main attractions and did the walk to the second story of the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe , Notre Dame Cathedral, a river cruise - it allowed us so many activities and by using it effectively - we saved hundreds of dollars .
Great to see Eiffel Tower, seine river cruise, hop on hop off, louvre, plus more. Good value - easy to use the pass. Would buy again
As first time visitors to Paris, the GoCity Pass gave us access to almost everything there is to see! It was the foundation for planning our itinerary and enable us to make the most of our 6 days in Paris. I would recommended that others visiting for the first time do the same.
Overall, I would recommend this Gocity pass! It definitely saved us money and was useful when considering how to approach and navigate our trip to Paris! I appreciated the museum pass that came along with it, which definitely contributed to the value! The only downside that we experienced was a tour being cancelled less than 24 hours before attending due to not enough sign-ups, (I also met another traveller who experienced the same thing on another tour he had signed up for. Although, it worked out for us in the end, I had jammed pack our schedules to try to make the most of the card within the time limit, and the cancelled tour served as a couple more hours to catch up on rest.)
My sister and I purchased the Paris Go City All Inclusive Pass which included the Museum Pass and we LOVED it! We used so many of the different offers including breakfasts, lunch, drinks, tours, etc---things we wouldn't have discovered without it. We definitely got our money's worth and would highly recommend the pass to other travelers who are exploring a new city!
There are some places that cancel or change activities at the last moment, and if you’re traveling, it affects the entire schedule you planned. I’m not sure if this time I saved money. Also, I think the pass should be for 48 hours, not just 2 days, because there are some trips where you don’t have 2 full days.
Nightmare Pass. Bought 8 4-day passes for hefty price tag. Initiated pass with hop on hop off bus first day. First stop Arc de Triomphe. Museum pass wouldn’t work, even the girls at the ticket desk tried to help. Online with chat support almost 2 hours while our group, including 4 seniors stood waiting in sun. No help and no availability to chat by phone. They ended the call saying someone would get back to me in 24-48 hours! On a 4-day pass! No one ever did reach out despite me contacting them numerous times thereafter - having to repeat myself every single time to different agents. Completely ruined our first day and left us seeing nothing while we had the hop on hop off bus. Be aware also that a huge portion of the attractions are far outside the city so a complete waste in my opinion:
This is a great option to get to know the city. In this case Paris has a lot to offer so Go City selected great options. The tour guys were outstanding. The food tastings were amazing. The tip is to book in advance but the trip planner in the app is a great tool. Can be a bit of an Amazing Race but we managed to see Paris in 4 days!
It was good, in general great experience but some things like louis vuitton tour didn't go well. Other things that needs reservation was full for the days we were there. The rest of the activities were really good even the food.
The GoCity pass is the way to go if you want to visit a lot of things in a city. It helps you plan a great itinerary and saves the hassle of finding tickets or things to do. I didn't have any issues with using it and made it fun to try new things like the cheese tasting or the breakfast. The museums and other sights were interesting and easy to get into with this pass.
Would not recommend at all. After buying the pass, we could not get a reservation to any of the museums we wanted to go to during our time in Paris via the pass. As a result, we had to buy separate passes via a different provider. We did not get a refund from Viator.
I purchased a 2-day Go-City Pass for Paris, eager to see the sights. To my utter dismay, the pass expired after just one day! I finally managed to get in touch with customer service after a ton of hassle, and while they acknowledged the issue, they promised to reissue a 1-day pass within 24 hours. This was completely useless since I was leaving Paris the very next day. Now, more than two weeks later, I still haven’t received anything from them. I'm sharing this to warn others about my frustrating experience with the Go-City Pass. The customer service was disappointing and unreliable, and I felt completely let down during my trip. Please think twice before purchasing, especially if you're short on time to enjoy the attractions.
This is a total scam. I purchased 3 passes for 4 days. It was nearly 800 dollars. On the morning of day 4 our passes showed expired. We were ripped off of an entire day. We also tried to access 3 attractions that couldn't get the QR code to scan, so we were denied entry. We wasted so much time and money trying to get to these attractions that we only managed to see 3 or 4 attractions total. They tried to offer an "extra day" since they deactivated it early, but we were flying out the next morning. Then they offered me an insulting 10 percent refund. Not to mention their webpage falsely advertises that they will reimburse the difference if you don't save money on your sightseeing . I'm now starting a dispute with my bank. Terrible customer service They can't get their story straight Lots of gaslighting Run and pay per attraction.
This is my second trip with GoCity pass. Thanks to these passes, I saved a lot of money on admission tickets to various attractions. Everything is in an app on your smartphone, so you always have your tickets and reservations at hand. Often entering attractions with this pass (e.g., museums) you avoid the queues. The only drawback of this pass: you definitely can't manage to use all the attractions offered by GoCity pass. Advantages: you get to know the city on your own, on your own terms and at your own pace. You decide for yourself what attractions you want to see (or experience), because many of them show you places you'd never get to with a travel agency. The GoCity pass is not just a pass to museums. It's something much better.
It was an absolute waste of money. We ordered the 2-day all-inclusive pass and spent a lot of money, and it was a nightmare to navigate. Every time we tried to book an event it took us to multiple websites with multiple downloads each and every time. I called customer service many times and they were unable to support. I will never use this again.
This is our 2nd time using a Go City pass. The first was when we went to London a few years ago. On that trip, we wound up saving about $50 total using the London Pass over what we would have spent on individual attraction tickets. The better perk on that trip was that we got to jump to the front of the line at several attractions. Because of that, and because we did actually save a little money using the London Pass, we decided to buy two 6-day Paris Passes (one for each of us). The total cost was approximately $620 USD. We spent the week in Paris constantly on the go, taking in as much of the city and its history as we could. We used the Paris Pass/Museum Pass several times over the course of 6 days. We only encountered one place (The Arc De Triomphe) that allowed pass holders to skip the main entry line. In many cases, it slowed our entry into the attraction since we would first have to use the pass to get a standard ticket before entering. Entry to the Louvre was the worst. We first had to reserve a time online and download a mobile ticket with a QR code. When we arrived, we had to scan our Louvre ticket, then security told us to scan our Paris Pass, then our Museum pass. The process was quite cumbersome, and the security attendant was not particularly helpful (although that's not Go City's fault). We added up the standard entry costs of all the places we went using the Paris Pass/Museum Pass, and found that not only did we overspend on the Paris Pass, but we would have actually saved over $200 USD simply buying standard entry tickets over 6 days. We probably would have saved a little time, too. We didn't slack off at all, either. Our days were very full, and we feel that we saw as much of Paris as was humanly possible. We don't feel that the Paris Pass is worth what it costs. There is virtually no way to get your money's worth out of it.
There are too many choices to use for 2 or 3 days staying in Paris. I had a good experience at Cafe, restaurant, wine and cheese and breakfast at Cafe. They gave me their services exactly what was written the pass without any extra charge. Very gentle and kind services I got. Almost all event in this pass is untill 18:00. But Montparnasse Tower is open till 23:00. I could enjoyed night lights of Paris . Eiffel tower's light show was at 21:00 started and it was great .
I should have read the reviews. I highly discourage any visitor from buying this. Most of the places I wanted to go are timed entry, which you cannot schedule unless you purchase directly from the venue. I tried to go to Saint Michel — 90 minute wait without a timed entry and a very angry and hostile guard. I also tried the catacombs and was turned away — no idea what the angry line manager said to me in French, just told me to go away. The Pompadour was a general wait but you can’t access the top floor. It was all incredibly frustrating and I eventually gave up trying to use the 4 day pass I purchased. This seems like a total scam and a huge huge waste of money.
Do not purchase this Go City Pass!! It’s a fraud. They scam you out of money. But most importantly life experience!!!! Me and My Wife were on our Honeymoon and were looking forward to spending a week in Paris. And this voucher seemed too good to be true. And it was… We went to go up the top of the Arc Du Triomphe and wasn’t allowed to enter because we needed another separate QR Code than the standard one you get with the pass (The Paris Museum Pass). This additional QR Code needed isn’t listed anywhere in the activation website. We tried online to get the other QR Code for the Paris Museum Pass but were unsuccessful as there was a technical error online. A worker at the Arc Du Triomphe said it’s a common thing to happen after 5pm that you can’t activate the additional QR code with GoCity. Therefore, we decided to try the next morning to make sure we get our moneys worth. Which then included over 3 hours on the phone waiting for someone from GoCity to answer our phone call. And we never got an answer. We decided to email instead hoping to get a response as we were nearing the end of our time in Paris and haven’t even used the Paris Museum Pass once. We then got a response email 2 weeks after coming home from our honeymoon. Filled with lies saying we used the Paris Museum Pass. Our Flight Centre agent then tried for another month trying to get us a partial refund. Since we did use it for a couple of attractions that didn’t need the Paris Museum Pass. But they denied us a partial refund after fraudulently creating a transaction history that included an activation of the Paris Museum Pass. When on our GoCity app it doesn’t have that Paris Museum Pass activation in our history. Go City you’re a disgrace and deserve no business. You owe me and my wife money!!! And more importantly you owe me and my wife our experiences that we were denied in Paris because of you on our Honeymoon.
My honest opinion about this pass is, it’s only meant for public /government museums only( we only found out after we started using it). These government museums are often located far apart, it’s not possible to cover too many in 1 day. So if you have a limited time in Paris ( for us 3days) it’s best to buy/cook tickets directly from the private mediums. Most of better quality museums are privately owned. Even for government museums, a lot of them require you to pay extra to access some of the exhibits or pay extra for audio assist devices. So unless you planned to see general exhibits, it’s not worth paying for Gocity museum pass. I personally felt it was all a waste of money, since we have to be out of pocket for most of the places. Hope Gocity will do better in the future and include the quality exhibits into their passes.
Bad customer service Most of the time you are talking to a bot which doesn't have the correct info and even if you escalate to a live agent they will not take responsibility for the wrong info given by the bot.
We bought a Paris all inclusive pass + museum pass for our stay during the Olympics, gocity failed to mention that every attraction we tried to enter would actually be closed or blocked off by police with only access given to residents. The one museum that was open (the Louvre) our pass would not download properly or scan so we would in fact need to pay on the door either way. For almost 3 weeks we have been trying to get this refunded however they claim as we downloaded the pass (which did not work) we are not eligible for a refund so we are now £408 euros down to have not been able to access a single attraction. Customer service is atrocious and they blatantly ignore whatever you say to them and just spout from a script in response to your emails or calls.
Absolutely the worse service in the world you can't talk to a sales or technical representative and the app works so slow and make Absolutely no sense. They don't tell you the pass isn't good fot anything basically and 400.00 for a 2 day pass is highway robbery. I can't use this thing at all have to buy a new pass everytime I go somewhere. Complete waste of money. There a scam
Due to closures from the 18th July we could access three of our planned bookings. How they can charge full price knowing this is beyond me. The reservation for the Louvre was pointless as we need a museum pass and city pass was pointless and all police asked for an Olympic pass to access areas where the attractions were! We have used this before and it was very good however this time the communication has been shocking when the company know the Olympics would decrease value of pass. Not happy at all.
SCAM! AVOID! Pass doesn't work! I purchased a 2 day Paris Pass All inclusive which includes a Museum Pass. The booking process was terrible, I had to download an app and follow a link to download each pass. At first my Paris Pass downloaded, and I was prompted to download the second pass (Museum Pass) but this was impossible. I emailed several times with no response, I tried daily for 3 weeks before my trip to get the pass but never could. I rang cust service, holding for ages, only to be told to try at 1pm for some reason, as they couldn't find it for me either? My assumption now is that you are NOT guaranteed a museum pass, however it seems to be a pot luck thing.. I managed to log into the portal at 1pm on the dot and could see the museum passes, I needed to REQUEST one, but it was immediately declined. I am so angry as I am now on hold again to cust service and am travelling tomorrow!! AVOID!!!!!!!! Buy your passes separately on independent sites to avoid this stress!
GoCity is a scam. You buy a package, you can’t download what all you bought, they tell you that everything worked fine, so that they don’t have to refund the money. Refund My Money. I purchased two 3-day passes mainly to get access to Paris museums. The purchase included 1 day of Big Bus pass for 2 people and 2 Museum passes. We were only able to use the Big Bus passes. The museum passes that would give us access to the Louvre and other Paris museums did not download for my husband, due to which we could not use the most important part of the purchase. There was an issue downloading the museum passes due to GoCity system issues. I had been on the phone with GoCity customer service people over two days while on my vacation and even they were not able to resolve the issue. I sent an email to Contact@gocity.com outlining the issue in detail and requesting a refund for my 3-day package excluding the Big Bus passes. They didn’t even respond to my inquiry until after I returned back from my vacation and called them again, at which point they said the passes have expired and that I actually used them, even though it is a lie and can’t do anything about the refund request. After ruining our vacation, which we spent thousands of dollars on, GoCity refused to refund my money for the portion of the package they never delivered.
I can’t even make a booking as it will not accept any email address. No one seems to be able to assist. Have used this company in the past and all was good.
We LOVED the Go City experiences we chose and had a wonderful visit in Paris. We did several guided tours. Remi at Notre Dame and Masha at the Eiffel Tower were THE BEST. Pros for the pass: -We got our money's worth by grouping attractions that were nearby each other and visiting a different part of the city each day. -For the most part it was easy to book each attraction. -We did things we would not have done without the pass, such as the Murder Mystery at Notre Dame. Things that could improve with Go City: -the app. It's just ok. I wanted to have my schedule of attractions available in order that I planned them on the app. I also wish there was a feature that you could sort by what is nearest to you. - I wish there were more times for tours to be offered. It seemed like most were right after lunch so you could only really do one a day. It would be nice to have a morning tour from 9-11 and then an afternoon tour from 1-3. - Some restaurants that offered free food at a certain time, did not put their address on the site or it was listed incorrectly. When we went to the incorrect restaurant, they were very happy to redirect us 2 blocks away to the correct place. Our Family's Favorites: 18 year old: The Eiffel Tower tour 15 year old: Big Bus Tour, and the "free" food/meals offered (we did them all!) 12 year old: Montemar train to the top of the hill husband: museum pass (make a list of all the paintings/art you want to see at each museum and then go in and see those first. Then spend any extra time looking around at others. For some museums, we literally went in and saw 3 pieces of art and then left. It's impossible to see everything, so know what you want to see before you go. The only museum we spent the entire day at was the Louvre and even there, my husband had a top 100 things he wanted to see.) wife: Big Bus Tour because it gave us an overview of the city when we first arrived. The Riverboat Cruse was also really neat to do at night.
Great value. We did many things on this list and saved us money. Our favorites were the museums, Notre Dame tour, boat tour, and all the food!
I still haven’t heard back from Go City as I try to get a refund for my pass. I’ve tried calling, using the form and emailing. They were so quick to take my money but getting it back is something else. My travel plans have changed and I can’t use the pass anymore, so it meets all criteria for a refund. Don’t buy unless you’re absolutely certain, otherwise you’ll be left frustrated like me.
Very low value for money. Better if you buy only museum pass (direct from the museum pass site). It is not possible to join all activities listed in the App and never meet the value so unfortunate investment of money.
