Sampled many delicious food snacks and had an enjoyable walk through the streets of Belleville. I would have liked to have tasted some foods other than the usual ones you get-chaucuterie, cheeses & chocolates but all we sampled were fresh and tasty. Our Guide, Laur, was pleasant and showed several interesting sights, like the history of the water fountains that you can see throughout Paris. All in all we had a good walk up and down the hills of Belleville.

Laure was brilliant, showed us some nice and very authentic real Parisien spots and told us a lot about the history of the quarter and the food. So thanks a lot for this lovely half day! Recommendation: come hungry and don't plan lunch/dinner earlier than some hours later... you will have quite some food :)
An amazing experience! We loved our guide Fanny, she was wonderful. The food & places we went to on the tour were terrific. Highly recommend.
Wonderful and delicious! Learned a ton about the neighborhood and Paris, and discovered several hidden, delicious gems near my BnB. Loved the tour and guide!! Recommended!!
Laura was an amazing tour guide! She took us to some of the best local spots, the views were amazing, and the conversation was lovely. Next time I’m in Paris, I’ll have to go to a different tour :)
We all really enjoyed our tour with Fanny. She had a lot of interesting information about the area and was warm and friendly. We tried lots of cheese, wines, pastries and charcuturie boards. Can recommend this for an informative and enjoyable activity.
A very interesting tour with a very knowledgeable guide who talked a little of the history of the area. I have been to Paris a few times and wanted to try something different. The guide not only showed me around some food shops I would not have known to try on my own, but also gave me a feel for the neighborhood. Lots of things to taste. Saw a lovely neighborhood park with a great view of Paris. It was pouring so we didn't have our snack in that park, but she gave me a snack to have later in the day. She pointed out a cafe where I could come back to hear live music. I strongly recommend this tour.
We had a great tour with Laura the guide. She told us alot about the location Belleville. The culture, the people and the mix of religieus&cultures in 2 districts amd the fact they come toghether. We had a great tasting and the succès where amazing. We walkes in the rain and had great conversations about the life of paris and saw alot of great stores. Good tasting also loved the trip. Thankyou Laura for the experience.
Laura was the best !! She guided us around the charming neighborhood and we stopped in many food shops and chatted with locals and tasted small treats. Sitting down in the cafes and trying out pastries and cheeses was a delight. Thank you Laura ! We loved her and Belleville !
Our food tour with Paris a Dream was fantastic! Hugo was an excellent guide. He gave a great tour with several stops in a less touristy area. The food (pastries, chocolate, cheese, meat, and beverages) were all very tasty and the store staff were very friendly and accommodating. It inspired us to purchase some extra food to take back with us. He gave us some local history and we even got us a great view of the Eiffel Tower for lunch. He even stayed with us for an extra amount of time at our final stop until we got all of our food there. He went above and beyond, I highly recommend him and the company!
What a delightful tour of the Jourdain neighborhood! It was an area that we wouldn't have ever gone to otherwise. I was with another friend, and our group in total was 5 (with our guide), which made for a very personalized experience. We especially appreciated the mix of salty and sweet foods which were enough to replace lunch for us, and the sprinkling of history for a better understanding of the neighborhood's character, as well as a lack of tourists :) It really felt like we were able to get an authentic, local taste (pun intended) of this part of Paris -- and even if you're a Francophile like us, there'll still be some new information for you too!
My daughter and I really enjoyed this tour. The neighborhood of Belleville, like all of Paris has wonderful history that has been brought into the present. My favorite stop was the Boulangerie. I had the best croissant of my entire life. It was warm, fresh, flaky on the outside and soft buttery layers within. Yum! We learned so much about the background of the food at each stop. This was a great way to kick-off our time in Paris.
Severine was a wonderful guide. She had such amazing knowledge of history and filled the tour with little details to the locality. The food we sampled was heavenly and the neighborhood was authentic. The small group setting was especially helpful for making this a unique experience.
It was a very pleasant, tasty, and enjoyable experience Nadia is a very knowledgeable guide and a very nice person
Sean was a knowledgable and gracious host. His knowledge of Paris blew us away and I would highly recommend his tours.
Isabelle is a wonderful host. She knows the area extremely well and got us access to out of the way areas ie: the preparation area for baguettes and explains the detail of all products you consume. Did you know France has a grade system for flour, well I now do and T65 is used in Baguettes. The cheese, this history of France and Belleville (the revolution village), she knows it all and makes it so interesting
We were very lucky to have booked on a cold weekend in February and ended up with a Belleville Food tour all to ourselves! Isa was a wonderful guide; relaxed and easy to talk to, and very knowledgeable about French food and culture. Belleville was an interesting district to wander around, with a very local feel to it. We learnt lots of things we didn't know (croissants didn't originate in France?!) and tasted things that we would never have considered before (the artichoke dip is amazing!) As well as the food education, Isa also taught us a lot about the history of the local area too. A great morning spent - thank you Isa! :)
My partner and i were truly blown away by Isa's tour. A very knowledgeable guide who you can tell is as passionate the artisans you meet. Her knowledge of local history is superb as well as being a thoroughly nice person to meet. The food on offer is second to none especially the cheese tasting we experienced. We also visited a bakery where you could see behind the scenes and see how their bread was made which also was spectacular tasting. We would highly recommend this tour as it is a very quiet but very Parisian neighbourhood away from the more tourists areas to give more of a special experience, 5 stars isnt enough.
I am extremely pleased with this exciting experience and would recommend it to anyone. Charming presenter, getting to know the true history of the people from this Paris quarter. We visited a wonderful local coffee shop, a gourmet shop with incredible flavors, got to know the real French baguette, and then tasted wonderful French wines in a wonderful winery. all accompanied by interesting stories and views.
Had a wonderful tour of Belleville with great tastes of the area. Isabelle is very knowledgeable about the area and has done a lot of research. She is delightful and very personable and more than willing to share her knowledge about any part of Paris not just Belleville. I definitely recommend this tour. Enjoy!!!
Our morning with Isa was magical! It was so nice to have a tour with her through Belleville and learn the history and explore their food and wine culture. I ate the most incredible food that I've ever tasted. Isa was so kind, welcoming and very knowledgeable. Certainly a highlight of our trip to Paris!
This "off the beaten path" tour offered plenty of interesting architecture and history along with the most delicious food! Isa is a charming guide offering both culinary and local history to enhance the food and wine tastings. A guidebook or internet information simply can't compare to this personalized tour. In addition to the 3 hour tour, Isa followed up with an email offering tons of recommendations and even detailed information on the tastings. What an incredible value! Definitely the best experience on this, our 4th trip to Paris!
Our family (me, my husband and our two teenage girls) hugely enjoyed this diverse and interesting tour of the Belleville area. Isabelle is a charming person and an experienced, knowledgable guide. The tour gives you a good background of relevant and accessible history of the district, from the early days of Paris to the present, balanced with fascinating information about food culture and gastronomy. The different stops along the way give you an opportunity to absorb the atmosphere of your surroundings while enjoying some delicious food and drink. Our teenagers particularly enjoyed seeing the bakers at work in the boulangerie and seeing the trendy cafés, bars and shops as we strolled along. The tour is just the right length to sustain everyone's interest throughout but avoid tired feet and the tastings are very generous - you will not be hungry afterwards! Despite many visits to Paris over the years this is not an area we knew and we were very happy to experience somewhere new and to learn so much in such a delightful way.
I did the English version of the tour, and it was amazing. Isabel was a glorious host and it was a real pleasure being shown the secret wonders of Parisian food.
My husband and I did the Belleville Food Tour during our recent visit to Paris. Our guide Isabel was so friendly and created a very welcoming environment. We began the tour with a visit to a really interesting café where we enjoyed coffee and treats, then we walked to quite a few small food shops where we tasted various local delicacies, and at a bakery we were able to watch the making of baguettes! We finished the tour with a fantastic wine and cheese pairing where we were able to learn about French wines and cheeses. Isabel also walked us through different parts of Belleville including a beautiful park overlooking Paris and streets where we could witness a neighbourhood in transition. This tour opened our eyes to other parts of Paris; Belleville is not one we typically would have explored on our own. We were so happy to have had this experience!
I would recommend this tour without hesitation, and I wish I had time to do it again. Isabelle was charming, gracious, well informed, and made me want to spend more time in Belleville.
This "food tour" was a great opportunity to get to know a special part of Paris in a different way. The tour guide was very friendly and very knowledgeable about Belleville. She did have to improvise a little with two of the "food" offerings because the corresponding places were closed, but she made up for that wonderfully.
Très agréable ballade avec un guide très sympatique Hugo nous fait découvrir un belleville que l on ne connaissait pas avec la rencontre de commerçants de quartiers
this walk bears its name very well: authentic!!!it really is, we had a passionate and enthusiastic guide who shared her love for this neighborhood that we discovered and greatly appreciated.we learned a lot about the place and beautiful anecdotes.walk dotted with very pleasant gourmet breaks.it was a very good time.
Here is a nice walk to do with family or friends to discover authentic professions and a district of Paris. Isabelle knows how to share her knowledge and passion for the neighborhood. Bravo and thank you for a great time together.
A very interesting visit, with small explanations about the particular places of Belleville between two tastings of bread, croissants, olives, cheeses and many others. All stores produce and sell excellent quality products, highlighted by Isabelle, the guide, who we feel passionate about her work!
Off the beaten track, A little history of the anecdotes of the encounters of the conviality of tastings of local products and subtle wines in warm places and in tune with the times Thank you Isabelle for making us travel a few hours with delight and joie de vivre walking the streets of this authentic neighborhood A real change of scenery
