Paris Make Your Own Bottle Of Wine In A Royal Wine Cellar

Creating your own bottle of wine based on your individually selected wines, creating your own label, corking and dipping the bottle into wax was a very unique and fun experience. The class takes place in the cellar, which is a cave like setting.

It was informative, interesting and a lot of fun! Would recommend to any wine lover. I attended this workshop two years ago with friends and knew my husband would enjoy - it was the first experience I booked when we decided to celebrate our wedding anniversary in Paris ghis year.

Margaux was an EXCELLENT host and as a chemist/engineer, she really knew her stuff. First time I've ever understood what people talk about when they mention tannins, acidity, alcohol & intensity. We ended up being the only ones, so it was a private class. Getting to make the label, cork our bottle, and add the wax was awesome. Would recommend as a great souvenir and way to remember Paris!

We had an excellent time and learned a lot about the science and careful consideration that goes into each individual grape selection and the complexity of formulating the most palatable taste combination!

I booked this tour for my father and boyfriend, who are both wine enthusiasts. They constantly raved about how much they learned about wine and the wine-making process. They were able to create their own ratio of wine, get it bottled, wax the top, and take it home! Both of them are so excited to open their bottles in about 2 years. Willie was a fantastic guide answering all their questions (and I know my father asked a whole lot!). My boyfriend also kept talking about the charcuterie cheeses served - he took a few bites home for me and it was amazing! We went on a huge cheese kick afterward. Just keep in mind how many bottles of wine you order. I initially thought I bought 4 bottles for the twi of them to take home together, but they ended up with 4 bottles EACH! Though, coming into more wine than expected is definitely a happy accident. We hope to do this tour again in the future so we have more of our own personalized wine waiting to be opened!

This is a great experience for all, my partner wouldnt normally drink red wine but really enjoyed trying all the different wines and the experience of making our own bottle. Well worth the money, everybody was friendly and up for a laugh. Our host was excellent!

A fantastic and unique experience. We tasted 5 different wines, had a cheese and charcuterie platter (that is extra) and then made our wine. We had a lot of fun and made good wine.

What a fantastic wine and cheese experience! We not only blended our own wines, but learned a ton while doing so! This is intimate and informative. Def my fav activity during my visit.

This was amazing!! I was there solo but met an amazing group!! It happen to be all women and our teacher, Marie, was so cool! We all laughed and had such a great time learning and tasting the wine. The blending part was really fun because we felt like a little scientist! I can not recommend this enough, even if you’re a solo traveler. I hope if you go, you get Marie because she is so great. I will come back again!

We enjoy wine and thougt this would be a fun unique way to experience it... It was! If you enjoy wine and have a couple hours, definitely do this! Irwin greeted us and gave us a short lesson and tasting in very old cellars that used to connect to the Louvre underground. Then we got to try to make a wine we would love after which they filled a bottle with it and we got to cork it, wax it, and make our own wine labels! I had so much fun I would totally do it again. Do this, so much fun!

Everything was perfect. And the experience was right up our alley: a little knowledge, a little practical application, and loads of fun.

This was an absolutely AMAZING experience! The location is an awesome underground wine cellar where we were able to learn about wines and then blend our own custom bottle! Just an all around 10/10 and one of the best things we did during the entire Paris visit

This was so fun! Not many people had booked at this time, only one other person with my partner and I, so it was a very private class. Jasmine was so knowledgeable and taught us so much. An experience I’ll never forget!

A great experience! I had a great time with our host and fellow "wine makers". The location is amazing with an interesting history. The wine tasting was educational and delicious. Making my own blend was far more challenging than I thought it would be, so hard to mix and choose. But, I am looking forward to drinking my blend in the near future. Beginning to end, it was a great little adventure and I highly recommend it to any one who loves wine or who wants to try something fun.

Irving did a great job! He was a connoisseur in the winery. My husband and I enjoyed his class as he was knowledgeable of the history of wine. We loved the class mixing wines to create your own!

Enjoyable experience where we learned lots about the wines of France. Who knew the different regions have different bottle shapes?! Needed a couple of tries to get the wax right on my bottle- my excuse was I was making a French chef’s hat!

So much fun! This was such a unique experience and a twist on average wine tasting… we had a blast, and made two great bottles of wine. The team was super friendly.

Jan, our sommelier, was absolutely wonderful. He was extremely knowledgeable and welcoming. We had lots of questions about wine and he knew the answers. We learned so much, and this was definitely one of our favorite parts during our very first visit to Paris! The mixed charcuterie board was absolutely delicious. I went with my mom to the make your own bottle of wine class and we were both thrilled with our bottles! You not only are able to mix and match different types of wine, but the instructor will walk you through how to taste for different elements of the wine such as the acidity and tannins. Our instructor was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. We were also able to personalize our bottles with our own labels and were shown how to cork and seal our bottles with wax. Highly recommend.

Love that we were able to make a custom wine bottle label for our creation. We also got to have fun making our wine combo, cork, and seal the bottle!

Would definitely recommend! The whole experience was really informative, but easy going and relaxed. My boyfriend and I are not massive red wine drinkers but I think we've been converted! Good price for a great experience

The whole experience from start to finish was amazing. Our guide was very knowledgeable and helpful throughout. I would definitely recommend this experience as you are part of the whole process from tasting the different wines, to mixing and creating your own blend and finally sealing and labelling the wine.

Great experience, while educational still a very enjoyable experience with great wine and food, would do it again!

We enjoyed our visit to Les Caves du Louvre wine workshop. First, the building itself is very nice and has an interesting history. Second, the staff were very welcoming. Third, the winemaking session was loose and fun-- not the least bit stuffy or pretentious (one of the group's amateur wine-blenders certainly was, but he won't be in your group). Fourth, getting to bottle, label and seal your own personal blend gave us a real sense of satisfaction. Also, I stupidly double-booked our reservations, and they were understanding about my mistake and quickly refunded the difference, which I appreciate very much. We haven't tried our bottles yet, so who knows, but no matter what the experience was memorable.

Such a unique idea! We were taken down into a cave/ cellar where we learned about the different aromas of wine and terroirs of France, before learning how to identify tannins, acidity, and alcohol content of the wines. We had 5 different wines to taste and mix to make our own bottle of wine. Once our wine was done, we corked and labeled our wine. Such a great day and I am so sad that my bottle of wine shattered on the flight home. I really wanted to have it as a keepsake. I would recommend this tour without a doubt!

We learned many new techniques about how to taste wines. Beautiful setting, experienced sommelier, fun time.

Dennis was fantastic. However, putting the wine bottles together was very rushed. They did not tell us we could take our own pictures for the labels. No opportunities for pictures due to small space and rushing everyone through. More instruction should've been given when applying the label. I thought I would have a nice bottle to display but the label did not go on correctly and now it looks terrible.

We thoroughly enjoyed this. Dennis was fun and entertaining. He made the experience so fun. Expect to come up with a French phrase or you may not get your wine, ha. The cave tour was educational and wine was delicious. We have done many tours as a couple and this one didn’t disappoint. Thank you Dennis!

My husband and I absolute loved this experience! We have been to many wine tours and various tasting events. This is hands down our favorite, ever! Our sommelier was incredible. He was so friendly and so knowledgeable. I cannot remember his name, but he was amazing!! We explored 5 different wines together going over the various aspects. We each had a sheet for notes. This helped us learn what we like. We made our own bottles of wine and were able to take home some special memories. Thank you!! Everyone- do this activity! You won’t regret it!

It was an amazing time. The group was great and our sommelier was Very knowledgeable. I learned a lot about different grapes and wines and got to customize a great bottle with my own name and picture. 10 out of 10 would do it again.

I went there twice. The first time was just to visit the place and dona short tasting. But I went back to do the wine creation with a few friends. The workshop was really well organized and very interesting. I learned a lot during this session. It’s great to leave with a bottle of wine that you assembled yourself as per your taste. The whole staff is very friendly and much knowledgeable about wine. The cave itself is beautiful and very well decorated. I would recommand this visit to anyone interested in learning about wine.

We had an excellent time at the Caves du Louvre! From our arrival, the welcome was efficient, warm, and the explanations were very clear. Everything started on time, which is always appreciated. The place is absolutely magnificent, very well located, and full of charm. We were 11 people around a large table, which was in my opinion the ideal size. Our sommelier was very educational and explained the different steps in a simple and clear way. I particularly liked the scent workshop, which is an excellent idea for learning to recognize aromas, as well as the possibility of creating one's own labels. The only small point for improvement would be the duration: the 2 hours go by very quickly and we sometimes felt a bit rushed. An additional 30 minutes would make the experience even better. Overall, it is a superb experience that I recommend without hesitation!!
