Itinerary
Join us for this 3-hour long food tour across one of the most famous and rich in history neighbourhood in Paris: Le Marais. You will have a full meal in at least 4 stops. All food included! Please, bear in mind that the tastings here described may change according to the season and the availabilities of our partners.
On this small island in the Seine river, you will have a taste of the most French dessert. You will feel like a true Parisian! small round cakes, inspired by meringues. The base is made from almond powder, sugar and eggs. The pastry is then baked in the oven until golden brown. So, have you guessed what they are?
Enter one of the most picturesque streets in the world: the iconic Rue des Rosiers! Rue des Rosiers is probably one of the main street of the old Jewish neighbourhood of Paris, named after the roses bushes that used to decorate this street in the past. Here, you will try a snack that's surprisingly typical from this neighbourhood (even though you would never think about it). What do you think it would be?
Rue de Rivoli is one of the most famous streets in Paris, that connects Place de La Concorde with Place de la Bastille and that's famous for it's architecture and luxury boutiques. Here, have a seat in an adorable local Bistrot to get a taste of a delicious main dish to continue your culinary journey, choosing between the famous croque-madame (much more than a simple French toast!) or the iconic onion soup.
Hôtel de Sully is a private mansion built in the XVII century that's now the seat of the the French national organization responsible for national heritage sites. Near this iconic landmark, in a typical Parisian Bistrot, you will taste a cheese selection, approved by local people. You will understand why you can't say "France" without saying "cheese".
A stunning green square in the middle of the city, with fountains, trees and historical monuments like Victor Hugo's house. In this amazing location, you will try the typical French choux: a puff pastry made with vanilla filling and sugar pearls. The perfect way to end the tour on a sweet note

Zak was wonderful- we really enjoyed each stop and the history between. We also got lots of great tips on local spots to hit while here!
This is a fun immersive experience that focuses on history of marais as well as the diversity of the food. Zak was a wonderful guide who had great knowledge and entertaining stories.
Had the best time walking around Paris enjoying some great Parisian classics with Paulette. So detailed, organised and fun! Highly recommended!
Oscar was a great guide! He was really funny and told us interaing facts about Paris. I We would recommend him to everyone! Thank you!
The food was fine and the pace and walk was good. The guide was okay, but didn’t seem as interested in providing explanations compared to other guides on food tours I’ve gone on.
We had a food tour with Yannic! He was amazing! Very informative. Our group was only 5 people so he was really able to speak to us and share all the different history on the area. Definitely recommend.
Oscar is so passionate and a wealth of knowledge. I had the most memorable night with lovely people, indulging in the beautiful food of Paris.
Ate great food and Paulette was so kind
Paulette was great. Very organized and detailed. She was very knowledgeable and welcoming.
Paulette was friendly and knowledgeable. She took us to some great places and also explained the history of the food we sampled. I highly recommend this food tour. Le Marais is such an interesting area!
Our tour guide Yannic was amazing! He was very knowledgeable and taught us about not only the places we visited but also the neighborhood and France as a whole. He was friendly and answered all our questions, even off-topic ones. Everywhere we went had excellent offerings. I would definitely recommend both the tour and Yannic to anyone looking for a fun, tasty and interesting food tour of the La Marais neighborhood in Paris.
Fabulous tour with amazing food. Paulette is simply the best! She is inclusive and a wealth of knowledge. Could not recommend more highly. A must if in Paris.
Paulette was amazing! Very knowledgeable and accommodating for all the guests. The food was fantastic too. I wouldn't hesitate to book another tour with her again.
Excellent tour with Martine, he was extremely kind, knowledgeable and made the time go very quickly. The food options were excellent and service and seating prompt. We learned about the history of Le Marais and the French foods we tasted. Thank you!
Martin was FANTABULOUS!!! Energetic, super knowledgeable and so much fun. I definitely recommend this tour and if you can ask for Martin, do it.
Martin’s food tour was absolutely incredible! He was knowledgeable, friendly, and made the entire experience so much fun. The food was delicious, and we loved getting to experience the city through its food and culture. Martin’s passion and enthusiasm really made the tour special. It was definitely one of the highlights of our trip! Highly recommend booking a tour with him!
Martin was the BEST! So knowledgeable and friendly, was so fun and had the most amazing time!
We wound up being only ones on the tour with Sharif. He is a wonderful tour guide. Very interested in history which we appreciated. Stops were all very good. We were quite full half way through so come hungry. Overall excellent and enlightening evening.
Achraf was a super chill tour guide. Felt like hanging out with a friend. Awesome tour with good balance of history and great food. Personable and funny! A sagittarius even. Would go again!!
Achraf was over the top!! Requests him.
Achraf was so awesome! Would reccomend him to anyone that asked!!! Book with him for good food, good stories, and good vibes!
Yannic was exceptional! He was so warm and personable and really went above and beyond to make sure everyone had a great experience. He shared so much about the history and culture of Paris, which added so much more to the tour than just the food. You could tell he genuinely cared about making the experience special. We really appreciated him!
Hugo was excellent! Loved the easygoing vibe, the bits of historical and local knowledge. The food and drinks were all incredibly tasty, would do this again!
The best tour guide Hugo. Food was very good and a lot of good information on the tour.
Hugo was a great tour with a ton of knowledge, very warm and fun to talk with, made the group feel cohesive and like we were all friends exploring a new neighborhood.
Hugo is amazing. He was very knowledgeable and fun. Would highly recommend him and this tour
Hugo our guide was very informative and a great person to show us around. There was a big variety of food too. We really enjoyed the tour and would recommend it.
Tannic was awesome! Very knowledgeable and personable. 100% recommend.
Disappointing. The guide Jannick was very nice but didn’t impart much info you couldn’t get from a Google search. Didn’t share much info during lunch or at the wine and cheese shop. We got one macaroon, one small falafel ball ( literally one bite) lunch didn’t come with an appetizer or dessert. 3 selections, one of which was French onion soup. Which really is more of an appetizer. It was an ok restaurant on a major street. 4.3 on Google Maps. Nothing you couldn’t find yourself. Our cheese plate was decent, but no real explanation of what the cheeses were about. Then a couple of small cream puffs which were delicious. There’s nothing on the tour you couldn’t find yourself or was exceptional. We went on a free walking tour of the Latin quarter a few days later and our guide was entertaining and shared an incredible amount of history and information. This was disappointing to say the least.
Paulette was a great tour guide! She explained about the culture of the foods and was very patient and personable. The food was great! Highly recommend.
Great Tour with Paulette. Food and sweets were excellent
Excellent food tour. Our guide Rocco provided lots of interesting stories and background to the foods we had on the tour. Certainly recommended
Artime was terrific as a guide! Macarons, beef bourgignonne , falafel and cheeses were terrific! We saw wine being poured from boxes into wine bottles...very deceptive and disappointing. Last stop for a sweet was closes! Artime was very bothered, but not his fault!
During our trip to Paris, our family of eight—including siblings, spouses, and cousins—booked the Paris Le Marais Food Tour with “Thomas.” The entire experience completely exceeded our expectations. Not only was the food incredible and the neighborhood stunning, but Thomas truly made the day unforgettable. He was highly engaging and incredibly knowledgeable about French culture and local history. We all had a wonderful time and highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Paris! ♥️🗼♥️
Thomas was our guide on this tour and gave us a fantastic historical summary as we walked and ate. We could not have had a better guide. He also sent me some great tips for other places to eat later near where we stating. I did feel that one of the food stops could have been a little better, but overall still a great experience.
Great experience with our Guide Thomas on the food tour by Do Eat Better
We had a great time on our tour! It was a great blend of history and good food. Rocco was an excellent tour guide… friendly and informative. The two teenagers even enjoyed it.
We had a lovely tour with Sharif in the Le Marais region. Sharif was very interesting and informative. We learned a lot about the region and very interesting history of the area. He gave us a lovely tour of the area and gave us background on many Parisian foods.
Very informative tour, Sharif new a great deal of the history, the food was decicious.. I would highly recommend
Lovely authentic experience
Yes this was a great experience, and you do eat better with this company. I did a similar food tour in the same area the day prior which was good, but this far exceeded the previous experience. Our guide Rocco was welcoming, organised and knowledgeable. The tour included 2 sit down stops for main and cheese courses, which both included a glass of wine/soft drink/beer/water. The other stops were interesting and the food and history links well explained. I’ll be looking to use this company again in other locations around the world.
Our guide Sharif was great. He was knowledgeable about the area and its history and excited to share his knowledge. He was warm and enthusiastic!
Hugo was great, really knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend.
Awsome tour, very informative and food was awesome.
Sharif was great, food was awesome, dessert was incredible
We booked Marais tour. It was a good way to spend the afternoon. We had much trials of different things. It was delicious - Macarons a bit too sweet but the rest was good. Peter was a good guide - he know a lot of history of the food we ate. Really recommend!
A wonderful evening—a treat for the palate and the ears, served with humor. Delightful!
