Paris Le Marais District Guided Walking Tour With Small Tastings

After the tour, I spent the entire afternoon wandering through the neighborhood, exploring its charming streets and hidden corners. That alone says how inspiring the tour was. We had a very good experience! Yesenia was very friendly and knew a lot about the history. There were 3 snacks Included + 15-20 min free time to check out the food market. It felt very lowkey (not one big information bomb) and it was nice just walking around. We got a quick overview of the history of the french revolution and some extra fun facts. Everything was very easy going. I definetly recommend!

I would say this is mislabeled as a ‘food tour’. This is a historical tour of the area with a little bit of food. The historical information was great. However, I was wanting to eat lots of food with history on the side. We only had 3 items. Other food tours I have done in other cities we had at least 6 items, if not more.

We explored places I walk past every day as a now-local but never knew anything about and in the process I discovered new details, stories and insights into life in France as well as how it came to be what it is in Paris! This tour truly enhanced my experience of Paris. Exploring Le Marais with Robert as our guide made the neighborhood come alive. Now, as I walk its streets, I find myself remembering the stories and little details I learned along the way. I got to try unique, fun experiences that felt deeply connected to the area and the city. This was a well prepared tour. Robert was well versed in the history of the area & we fell right into all the stories. In the first 15+ mins before you start walking, you learn about some French rulers & history, which helped enrich our experience & actually supported all the activity we saw happening in the Republique square that day. The tastings were exceptional! We enjoyed all the stops & especially visiting the church & market! There was a little extra surprise w/an “I-spy” game we played as we went along which kept us alert & engaged. Great tour & Robert was just an amazing human!

One of the best walking tours I have ever had. It was a great mix of history, tasting Parisian food and walking / pausing. Very duable for kids as well. Highly recommend the tour. Really felt that I have left Paris with great knowledge about Paris / France.

It has also provided us with a beautiful hike. Lots of beautiful and interesting stories in Dutch! We enjoyed her enthusiasm and excitement! A real recommendation!!

What fun this was!! We even booked another tour when we were already in Paris. Very nice that the guide is Dutch so that is nice with our kids. Fun explanation with surprising facts and 3 tastings in between. Highly recommended!!

Robert led us through the Marais district. Very interesting to hear backgrounds of important monuments and to discover funny finds in the streets. In between tasting local specialties made it complete for me. Think these walks will appeal to a diverse audience, because Robert can fine-tune his information and is a very pleasant guide. Last week Robert showed more than sixty 4 havo students around Le Marais in three shifts. It was amazing in a word. What a good tour guide Robert is.
