Your family tour starts outside the Louvre, where you'll meet your private guide and learn something about the history and the architecture of this huge building.
You'll enter the museum with prebooked tickets. The Louvre truly has something for everyone in the family, and your guide keeps the kids enthralled with interesting facts about the history of the museum and its works of art, for instance, the fact that the Louvre was built in the 12th century and was originally a fortress and palace. With your guide leading the way, see the works of major artists like Géricault, Canova, Delacroix, Bernini, Michelangelo, Ingres, and Ghirlandaio. Perhaps you'll also see the Crown Jewels or the Napoleon III Apartments, depending on your interests and availability of masterpieces. Of course, you probably won't want to miss Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa, as well as other famed masterpieces such as the Winged Victory of Samothrace and Venus de Milo. You can decide if you want to go for a 2 hour or a 3 hour tour, depending on the needs of your kids, and what you see can be tailored to your preferences and the ages of your children.

We had such an amazing tour with Tanya. She was able to make the tour engaging and really interesting for the whole family and with two grown ups and three children (aged 5, 8 & 11), that really is something. We learned so much and the two hours literally went so fast. The kids have spoken about it constantly since. Our eldest is actually doing his school report on it as we speak! Rosanna was wonderful! She made the tour very interesting for the two teens and two adults in our group. In the summer months, I definitely recommend a Louvre tour early in the day before it gets super hot and crowded. We did the 9 am tour and by the time we left at noon, it was a sweltering madhouse!

We were in Paris in July 2026. I was traveling with my wife and our two 11 year-olds. It was there first time to the Louvre. Our tour guide Paloma was engaging and wonderfully described in real terms some of the most beautiful pieces of art in the world to them. It allowed our family to experience the highlights of the Louvre in a meaningful way. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and left wanting to back do even more!

Our guide Alberto was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. He had the kids engaged from the moment we met. My husband and I went to the Louvre many years ago and it is so much busier now than it was before. If we hadn't had a guide we would've been lost and not able to see the things we had wanted to see. 2 hours was about the limit for our kids - 6,8 and 10.

Our Paris Muse Louvre tour with Eva was one of the highlights of our time in Paris! We have a large family with seven children (12 years to 7 months), and Eva was absolutely wonderful. She was warm, engaging, and incredibly knowledgeable, keeping both the children and adults interested throughout the tour. What impressed us most was how effortlessly she navigated the Louvre. We visited during the Paris heat wave, when some museum entrances were unexpectedly closed and conditions were constantly changing. Eva quickly adjusted our route and even rearranged the order of the tour to help us minimize heat and crowds. Her flexibility and familiarity with the museum made what could have been a stressful day feel seamless. Our children asked lots of questions and were engaged from beginning to end. Eva did a fantastic job bringing the artwork and history to life in a way that was enjoyable for all ages. We highly recommend Eva to anyone looking for an outstanding family guide!
I booked 2 private tours for 9 of us traveling together (4 adults and 5 teens/kids). Louvre only allows 6 per group for a private tour so we had 2 guides - Helene and Joanna. They were both PHENOMENAL!!! They were incredible story tellers, kept the kids engaged and shared unknown facts the adults enjoyed learning. Would highly recommend this tour for a quick run down on the highlights!
This experience was FANTASTIC!!! Helene was so knowledgeable and engaging. I have a special needs daughter and she was so wonderful with her. She was a great story teller and focused on all the highlights to keep the kids engaged. 10/10 recommend - it was our favorite tour on our European vacation!!!
The tour was fantastic, shortened to the essentials for the sake of our kids. Our guide, Alberto, did a fantastic job of engaging them and teaching them and making them truly excited to be there. Our tour at the Louvre was a 10/10. Joanna was so engaging and did an amazing job with my boys. My oldest, who will be 12 soon, was so interested and told me that this was his favorite part of our entire 8 day trip. Joanna made the tour interesting, had fun stories about each thing we saw and expedited our way around the museum to the important parts. She was so good with our boys. Highly recommend.
Our whole family loved this tour of the Louvre! Our tour guide Rosana was the best guide we’ve ever had (and we’ve been on many tours). She was friendly, thoughtful, and extremely informative. Rosana made the tour interesting for everyone in our family from the youngest to the oldest (ranging from 11 years old to almost 80 years old). Alberto was an excellent gem making sure my child was engaged with the exhibits at the Louvre. It turned out to be such a magical experience. He asked her first what she enjoyed reading about and what she wanted to see and after that, he knew spot on which are the artworks she would love to see or know about. He’s incredibly patient and engaging as well, for both kids and adults. The only snag was the waiting time to enter the Louvre but that is no fault of Alberto’s, more because of the recent heist that has increased the security at the Louvre. I will highly and strongly recommend this tour. We were sad to see it end.

I cannot speak highly enough of our tour guide, Tatiana! Not only did we skip all of the lines for entry, we also had access to the cloak room to put away our things whilst we visited. After seeing how chaotic the Louvre was and with over 35,000 artworks, I would highly recommend doing the Louvre with a guide. Tatiana was incredibly knowledgeable and made the tour so fun for our 3 young children and us. All of the extra little tidbits that we learnt were definitely a highlight for us. We did the two-hour family friendly guided tour that went through the main highlights of the Louvre. Our guide Rosana was delightful and so patient and engaging with the children, as well as being considerate of Grandma, walking at a slow pace and finding seats for her wherever possible. She had a book with visuals to help explain the pieces to the kids, which really helped them engage with the material. It was perfect if you’re going with kids and want to see the main highlights.

Tatiana was incredible. So knowledgable and made the tour of the Lourve quick and fun for our kids. We saw the selected parts of the museum that kept our kids occupied even though they wet every tired from traveling from Australia.
Booking this tour was definitely worthwhile and a value for our family to have a good experience at the Louvre. Our children are 12 and 9. Our guide made the tour engaging for the children and offered plenty of insight for the adults also. Without a guide, we would have had a far less engaging visit, been lost in the maze of the building, and likely missed out on appreciating most of what we saw. We of course saw the Mona Lisa, but we’re shown many more interesting things and heard about the history of the palace and the objects on display.
