Roseanne was a wonderful guide. Our tour was on a very windy, rainy day and she did a great job at showing us the sights and explaining all. She improvised and used the metro more where we would have walked because of the weather, giving us more guided time in Le Louvre, which was terrific. Much recommended.

Itinerary
Meet your guide at Abbesses Metro Station in Montmartre and get to know the group before you set off. You start the day in one of Paris’s most character-filled neighborhoods, where café corners and steep streets hint at the hilltop views ahead.
Step back in time at the Moulin de la Galette, a historic windmill turned lively hotspot in the heart of Montmartre! Once a favorite haunt of artists like Renoir and Toulouse-Lautrec, this charming spot is where Parisians danced, dined, and soaked in the bohemian spirit. Today, its whimsical history and iconic setting make it a must-see for anyone wanting to capture the true essence of old-world Paris.
Tucked away on a picturesque corner of Montmartre, La Maison Rose is a charming pink café that feels like stepping into a postcard! Once a hangout for artists like Picasso, its pastel facade and cozy vibe make it a favorite spot for those looking to capture the romantic, bohemian spirit of Paris.
Discover one of the most romantic spots in Montmartre, and learn the story behind the iconic ''Wall of Love''
Make your way up to Sacré-Cœur for sweeping views over Paris and a closer look at the basilica’s bright exterior. Hear the story behind this landmark and why Montmartre’s hill has long been a magnet for painters, writers, and musicians.
Next, ride the metro with your guide and get comfortable moving around Paris like a local. In under an hour, you arrive on Île de la Cité, the historic heart of the city where medieval Paris still feels close to the surface.
Capture some photos in front of the stunning Gothic arches of the Sainte-Chapelle and soak up its majestic exterior vibes.
Pass by the oldest standing bridge in Paris enjoying panoramic views of the city. Marvel at its charming arches, discover the rich history of this landmark, from its role as a bustling marketplace to its connections with famous figures like Henri IV. Take in stunning views of the Seine and the city while learning the captivating stories behind this beautiful bridge that has spanned centuries of Parisian life.
As you stroll past the iconic Conciergerie of Paris with your expert guide, uncover its fascinating role during the French Revolution. Once a grim holding place for prisoners, this historic site was where many awaited their fate—most notably, Marie Antoinette, who was sentenced to the guillotine. Dive into the gripping stories of those who passed through its walls and experience the rich history that still lingers in the air.
After your visit to Ile de la-Cite, we’ll head over to another Parisian gem—Notre Dame. As you stand before this Gothic beauty, you’ll hear the fascinating stories behind its towering spires, quirky gargoyles, and stunning rose windows. Even though the 2019 fire left its mark, Notre Dame remains a powerful symbol of resilience for the city of Paris.
Hop back on the metro for a quick journey to the Louvre. Before heading inside, you'll have a break to enjoy lunch (at own expense). Ask your guide for recommendations; they know the best spots around.
After lunch, its time for the next bucket list item. Experience the Louvre like never before with our 90-minute tour that dives straight into the museum's most influential works. Marvel at two iconic Greek statues—the Venus of Milo and The Winged Victory of Samothrace—each rich with mystery and history. Our expert guide will share captivating stories about their meanings and origins, bringing these masterpieces to life.
Finally, your guide will lead you past other highlights before unveiling the crown jewel of the collection: Leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa. The Mona Lisa, or La Joconde, is the star of the Louvre, captivating millions with her mysterious smile and enchanting gaze. Your guided visit finishes inside the Louvre, so you can keep exploring on your own if you want. With the layout and key works fresh in mind, it’s easy to choose a wing and slow down for the pieces that interest you most.

My husband and I did this tour last year and it was great. I brought my adult daughters This year and our tour guide was not good. She did not speak English well and was not engaging or interesting. I was very disappointed.
Hafid was an exceptional guide. Very knowledgeable and passionate about his work.
Anna Claire was a brilliant guide - a true Parisian who had passion not only for the city but for her job too. She was so informative and we all learnt so much. She was able to weave her way from one end of the city with ease showing us places that we would have never found by ourselves. She was one of the best guides we have ever had and and one of the most memorable walking tours we have ever done
Mountmartre was a fabulous day. We probably would have missed this beautiful site if not for Tour Guy
Fetah was phenomenal!!! We highly recommend spending the day with him. Fantastic way to learn about Paris. Fetah kept us engaged through his story telling, funny, kind, and we learned so much. Please treat yourself to a day with Fetah.
Our guide, Monika, was great. Very informative and friendly. And the small group size was great. But spent too much time in Montmartre and spent very little time at Sacre Coeur, Notre Dame or Saint Chapell. And this tour does not go to the Eiffel Tower or Arch de Triumph.
Monica was our tour guide for the day. She was fantastic. Easy to understand and super knowledgeable. Highly recommend.
Loved this tour.travelled with my daughter and her friend. Roxanne was a fabulous tour guide. Tailored it to our preferences as we were the only one on the tour. We did the boat cruise the night before. Loved Montmartre. Highly recommend!
The two guides were great individuals. The first guide from Montmartre to the Louvre was wonderful, but spoke too softly where all 6of us in our group had to keep asking each other what he said. Other than that, good. The second guide at the Louvre, Fateh(?), basically ran, both in walking speed and explanation, and it was not the best experience. He left us behind many times and we all felt he was in a hurry. The tour needed before 3pm, which we thought went to 1530. All in all, not the best tour
It was a great way to see the city’s neighborhoods and landmarks. Our guide, Fabio was very knowledgeable and did a great job keeping us moving, educated with a little free time also. We did a private tour of 6 and it was well worth it.
The guide was excellent! He was clearly passionate about Paris history, art, and culture. He was also extremely accomodating..
A great introduction to some of the sights of Paris. Our guides were great taking time to share their knowledge and suggestions. Easy walk and metro through town. Plenty of photo opportunities.
Great tour and highly recommend it. It helps to knock off quite a few things to see when on a schedule
I thought it was a perfect amount of walking and making stops for coffee after we asked our guide while in Montmartre and lunch after The Louvre we had a sit down lunch. There was an older couple who did great. It's so helpful to have a guide as it's not only very informative but faster to go in and out and even show you a bathroom designated for groups.
Yes, I would recommend! Very informative and enjoyable! It’s so much more meaningful having history and background explained about the sights you see. Plus, no stress in planning.
They cancelled because they did not have enough people sign up. After getting my refund I ended up choosing a cheaper Mona Lisa tour in the morning and decided to spend the afternoon at Disneyland Paris!! Turned out to be an amazing day!!
The night before the tour, we received a text that our group was being separated! Two of the five of us were 'upgraded' to a private tour because our original tour had too many people??? We had booked this months ahead! We did NOT want to be upgraded, we wanted to be kept together. Highly disappointing and it ruined the tour as we had to make special arrangements for transportation back to our vacation home. Never again Tour Guy!!! (As for the tour itself, you spend more time on the metro going from location to location than actually visiting the sites. Would do it differently had we known.)
Walking tour up and down hills. Guide, Sofia was great. Willing to take pictures for the group. Very informative
Our tour guide (Catherine) was sooo knowledgeable, kind, and helpful. The pace of the day was not too fast. It was perfect in every way. Thank you so much for an amazing day!
Very pleasant tour. Our guides were very knowledable. We had one for the walk and another for the Louvre.
Monica was amazing! Patient and knowledgeable. You get to see a little bit of everything and the Louvre skip the line totally worth it. Plenty of breaks and plenty time for lunch. I will say the walking is intense. Pretty much walking the whole time and at the end when we got to the Musuem my legs almost fell off. But also partly because the Louvre is so crowded and hot. Not the tour’s fault in anyway. Overall I would totally recommend. But be aware you will be walking a lot.
Our Paris in a Day tour was fantastic! We had limited time in the city and wanted to see as much as possible in one day, and this tour was the perfect solution. We were able to visit all the major sites and experience so much of Paris in a short amount of time. Be prepared for a lot of walking, but the pace was manageable, and we had opportunities to take breaks, sit down, and rest along the way. The experience was absolutely worth it, and our amazing guide Felix made the day truly special with his knowledge, enthusiasm, and personal touch. We left feeling like we had made the most of our time in Paris and would highly recommend this tour to anyone with a limited schedule.
Excellent experience in montmatre ; Amira was very genuine and made good use of time and pace. Didn’t like that we had to switch the guides in Leuvre though. Otherwise amazing experience.
We booked a semi-private tour which was changed to a small group tour a few days ahead. No problem. Except… what was NOT clear was the tour time had changed from 8:50am to 8:00am. We don’t realize this until we received a text saying the tour guide was running late and would arrive by 8:15! We were forced to skip breakfast and rush out the door to meet our tour on time. Not the way we wanted to start our tour in Paris
We toured the Louvre and met Thomas our guide and a small group of fellow travelers, it could not have been better , carefully curated tour of the most interesting parts of this enormous museum
Absolutely amazing excursion! Our tour guide, Andrei, was extraordinary! He was knowledgeable, engaging, and made the entire experience unforgettable. His energy, professionalism, and attention to detail truly stood out. He even gave his group his list of favorite restaurants. This is a walking tour with some train rides included as well so be prepared for weather conditions and dress comfortably. Andrei did a phenomenal job making sure our group stayed together for the train ride and walking tours. I highly recommend this tour, especially with Andrei as your guide! Enjoy! You will learn a lot!!
Our guide Andrei gave us a wonderful tour; and was very engaging! His English was very clear. He gave us a lot of information about extra info like riding the Metro.
This was booked as “Paris Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, Louvre & Montmartre’. It included a river tour also. The tour was to start at 8:45 and last 7 hours. It was booked on 1/21. In 2/18 a message was sent that my tour time had changed. I tried all the links given but no where was a time updated. All of my bookings still showed 8:45. It again confirms the name is Paris Eiffel …etc. On 4/18 I receive an email that the river cruise portion has been removed from the itinerary. They are now calling the tour ‘Paris in a day’ in this email. I was fine without it. They did refund the money back, although you pay for one whole tour so no idea if that was correct or not. On 4/27 another email stating that the time will be at 8, not 8:45. Little panicked as my train comes in early that morning but I should still be fine. I don’t notice at the time (because I’m panicking a bit over the time) that they have again changed the name of the tour to “Paris in a Day: Louvre Entry + Guided Montmartre & City Walks”. As you can see that is VERY different from what I booked and what I wanted. I was late and arrived at 8:03. We kept in contact the entire time with the tour people until we got there. It was the 3 of us and another couple. We were handed a headset and immediately the tour started. No introduction or even a name of our guide. For the next however many ours we walked along neighborhoods as she pointed out something’s but had very little knowledge and trouble remembering things. ‘This was the 16th century. No, maybe 19th century I think’ ‘thus used to be a lovely store, not sure what it is now’ ‘here is a mansion of a very famous French singer that you won’t know because she wasn’t popular in America’. At one point a man was walking his dog and as he passed by us said to stop and look because this was the only point in the whole area where you could see the Eiffel Tower. She just kept walking. Didn’t wait for us to see it and get a picture, just kept walking and talking. At one point she was going on and on but her batteries died. Because she doesn’t talk at us or really look at us, it took us several moments to get her to realize we couldn’t hear her anymore. She would just walk and talk ahead of us. No idea and no clue if we were behind her or not. When we got into an extremely packed metro, she got in and didn’t even look or verify if we got in. We scrambled to a second door and got in as the doors shut and she never turned around to look. She never asked if we needed to stop for a bathroom break or anything. 3+ hours and the first chance we get us our lunch break when we were in our own. Walking thru crowds, she never had a stick or anything to identify her or have something to follow. She was smaller and it was often difficult to see where she was and again she was not looking for us. She’d cross streets on red lights and make quick direction changes. Notre Dame was packed outside with people everywhere. She kept saying ‘oh my God, there’s so many people’ over and over as she was again walking well ahead of us. Then picks a spot to stop and talk about it but there was so much happening and she kept getting side tracked by the amount of people that we didn’t hear hardly a thing she was saying nor could we concentrate with so much happening. I still can’t believe she was so shocked at how there were people at the world famous landmark and picked such a congested spot to stop. Outside the Louvre we walked behind her and were cut off by a passing police car. We literally had to run to get caught back up. When we did she said ‘oh, there you are’. At the Louvre she kept talking about all the things we couldn’t see. ‘This is my favorite piece but it’s not out here’ ‘this area is amazing but you can’t go in there it’s closed’ ‘I much prefer this other thing but you can’t see it’. Why!?? We’d have no idea what we’re missing until she spent most of the tour telling us what we were missing! She did do a great job with the other DaVinci works and talking about those. She navigated the Louvre well and we saw the most important pieces (Mona Lisa, Venus de Milo, etc). That’s literally my only praise. So, if you’ve made it this far, great job! Don’t book anything with ‘The Tour Guy’ but if you do, watch for changes and make sure what you wanted is what is delivered. We paid over $600 to listen to ramblings for hours and not see anything of true interest until the very last hour.
My significant other booked the Paris in a Day tour. We met our tour guide, Julien, at the metro station in Montmartre. I have some mobility challenges and Julien was able to completely adapt without missing a beat. We did take the metro a couple of times. We took the funicular up to the cathedral for a spectacular view of the city (and a ride on the very old carousel). We took the metro to the Louvre where we had skip the line tickets. Julien took us through the museum, showing us the highlights. I made a modification and ordered us an Uber to go to the Eiffel Tower and then we took a sail on the Seine on the bateaux mouches. It was a wonderful day! Highly recommend!
AnneClaire was terrific. Very knowledgeable, helpful, and a great tour guide. Definitely recommend Tour Guy.
We got the private tour and it did not disappoint. Lots of walking, but guide was able to go at our pace and customize some of the your based on our interests. While everyone else was in a two hour line to get in to the Louvre, we walked right in a side door with the guide and to the front of the line.... So worth the money!
This is a walking tour. You will walk up very steep inclines. Lots of stairs. 2 people fell down on our tour. 6 people left the tour during the tour. Not as ours was advertised and no money refunded. Use a different tour group. There are many more to choose from.
Wasn't sure what all wed see here. No eiffel tower visit. But will view it from afar. Lots of beautiful scenery and artsy walks. Will see Notre Damn from outside and go in and tour the Louve Museum and Mona Lisa. Very happy and friendly guide for 1st half. And second halfs guide named Sid was very funny and enjoyable through the museum.
Another very informative tour of some nice sites in Paris and the outside of Notre Dame as well as entry tickets to the Louvre museum. I didn’t realize the Louvre Museum has about 14 KM pathway to see everything in it so it would take you a couple months to really look it over. But the tour in the museum was really spectacular.
My husband and I did Paris in a day:Louvre entry and guided Montmartre & city walks. Sarah was our guide for the city walk and she had a voice of an angel. We could have listened to her forever. She was very knowledgeable of the sites and history and made it extremely enjoyable. She maneuvered 12 people on/off the metro, through crowded streets, in and out of rain like a true professional. Sarah’s portion of the tour ended with the entry to the Louvre where Fetah took over. He too was outstanding. He was very passionate about the art and sculptures and shared many interesting facts and stories about many of pieces we encountered. He was obviously well trained and thoroughly enjoyed his profession.Normally group tours are not our thing but we would easily go on any tour Sarah and Fetah was leading. The Tour Guy was very easy to book with and offered everything they promised. We would definitely use them again.
This tour was the perfect way to experience Paris, especially if you’re only there for a short time. We got to see all the highlights on our list. Our tour guide was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. This experience made our first trip to Paris one to remember for sure.
Very nicely organized - avoiding crowds and giving sufficient information plus pace of walking. Andre was very polite and dedicated.
This tour was the perfect way to get the true flavor of Paris. We'd recommend it as a first-day tour in Paris, as it allowed us to revisit certain areas of town on our own.
We had a great time with Sarah and Fetah, they were helpful, knowledgable, funny. The tour lasted approx 6.5-7 hours including a quick visit in Sacré-Cœur which I was only expecting to see from outside. Both guides were excellent!
Knowledgeable, guide and really well planned tour
We signed up for the Eiffel Tower tour through the tour guy. The ad said free cancelation within 24 hours. Well before the 24 hours was up, I called the number for support saying Viking cruise was leaving before our tour time. They could not get us in any earlier and wanted to give a gift card but we were leaving Paris. I wanted our money back as advertised but they said we could only get 20% even though I had called 3 different numbers as apparently tour guy brokers the tour to another company which you can't get ahold of. I will choose viator next time. Most of the fellow Viking cruise passengers used viator and had no problems.
This is a well structured tour. A bit of walking but at an easy pace. You get to see parts of Paris that you may not necessarily see.
Great Paris Tour — Marianne Was Excellent We had a great day in Paris on this semi-private tour. Our guide, Marianne, was fabulous. She was knowledgeable, organized, and full of great information about the history, culture, and sights of Paris. Everything didn’t go perfectly — the Metro was not working correctly that day — but Marianne kept things moving, stayed positive, and made sure our time in Paris was still valuable and enjoyable. This tour was well worth the money, and more importantly, well worth our limited time in Paris. Highly recommend.
This was a wonderful tour both tour guides Sarah and NK were brilliant. I recommend good walking shoes. Only disappointment was the river cruise not being Included as was part of the booking originally.
Sara was an incredible guide. So much incredible information and sights to see. Be ready to walk a lot, but well worth it!! Great option if you want to see many important landmarks in one day!
Ann Clair was very knowledgeable and friendly. We felt very comfortable with her. She conducted the tour at our place with regular stops.
Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. He was able to get the 18 people on tour both on and off the train, with no problems. Enjoyed the walking tour very much
Cherry was very informative and entertaining at the same time . She was patient and knowledgeable. Amazing
It was wonderful! Be prepared to do lots of walking and lots of hills. We learned so much and really enjoyed Sarah, our tour guide. We had a second tour guide at the Louvre. She was fun and enthusiastic!
