We did the Paris highlights tour in October 2026 (very soon after the recent riots). The tour was great fun and an excellent way to see the city highlights in a fun and different way - much enjoyed by the two 12-year olds in our party. The guides were interesting and well informed, and made a real effort to maximise the fun for the kids. On some other similar tours we have had radio headsets, which this tour doesn't include, so maybe they might consider that to make the communication a bit easier - although to be fair it didn't seem to be a problem. Highlights were the Arene de Lutece Roman ampitheatre (which we definitely would not have visited on our own) and seeing a WW2 period movie being filmed on the streets. Not a cheap tour but worthwhile if looking for something a bit different.

I can't tell you how much fun this was; I was grinning and laughing the entire time! Clemente was a wonderful guide and incredible driver. It was the highlight adventure of my time in Paris. Do it!
Our guide Franck was absolutely superb. Great way to see Paris.
A great experience and something different to do with my daughter. Lots of sights and side streets to discover with our guide Franck. Superb views from Mon Matre, followed by a tour of the left bank.
Our Retro Sidecar Tour was one of the absolute highlights of our trip to Paris. It was such a fun, unique and unforgettable way to explore the city, and we were able to see so many of Paris’s most beautiful and iconic sights. Our guide, Juien, was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. He made us feel completely comfortable, shared fascinating stories about the city and tailored the experience perfectly to us. His enthusiasm and kindness made the tour even more special. This experience truly made our trip. We cannot recommend Retro Sidecar Tours highly enough—it is without doubt one of the very best ways to see Paris!
Pretty bad tour. Guide mostly just drives you around without guiding or explaining much. Bad way to see the city. Most of the time is spent driving in traffic between places. Sidecar experience is not even that unique.
We had an amazing experience. What a fun way to see iconic sites of Paris especially during a heat wave. They came prepared to handle the rise in temperature and made it fun for the whole family.
This is a wonderful and unique way to tour the city and my family and I enjoyed it very much. Alan was wonderful guide and gave us much insight into the different areas, notable sights and architecture. This is a much more interesting way to tour the city as compared to a cart or bus tour and highly recommend for individuals or families. It’s a must do experience when in Paris.
Great fun for the family, safe, you're not going fast and going through small streets. Old areas of Paris.
Brilliant ! Very knowledgeable fun hour, saw all the sights of Paris with a detailed history on each. No questions went unanswered, my guide was very helpful and as a result we saw bits of Paris and learnt things we never would have in any other way. The side car was great
YES YES YES! This was our favorite experience in Paris! Traveling with a 13 and 16 year old. I contacted the operator directly because the time I wanted wasn't available online and they were helpful and accommodating. We LOVED our tour guides - Alex - and we just loved the experience. SO MUCH FUN, What a thrill!!! We got great photos, and they were gracious to drop us off at the location of my choosing - I asked ahead of time.
We had the most wonderful experience with Antoine (and the other guide whos name is failing me currently). They were incredibly knowledgeable, kind and super sweet to my 7yr old daughter. She said it was the highlight of her Paris trip.
Michael & Jordan were fantastic! My wife & I thoroughly enjoyed the tour & would do it again! We saw so much in such an enjoyable sidecar which neither one of us had experienced before. If you want an enjoyable & unique experience seeing Paris, book & take this tour!
Great ride out. Our two riders were safe and informative. Great way to see some of the lesser known streets as well as the main sights
We did the 1 hour tour as a family of 4 we had 2 adults on the back of the bikes and 2 very happy kids (10 and 7) in the sidecars. I honestly think this is one of the best things we’ve ever done, it was so fun and an amazing way to see the city. Our guides also set up the most special photos of the Eiffel Tower too. Our guides were kind, informative and fun. We can’t wait to return to Paris and do it again. Thank you.
We had a fantastic tour guide Greg who was very knowledgeable and so warm and friendly! We felt safe and comfortable and really enjoyed seeing the lovely sights of Paris from the motorbike and sidecar! What an experience. Greg lined up some great photo opportunities for us and went above and beyond to get those great shots. The tour lasted an hour. Would definitely recommend.
What is not fun about travelling around Paris in a sidecar. We had a drizzly day with rain at times but it was still a fun and different experience. We had seen Paris on foot before so this adventure took in the main sights from a different and fun aspect.
We absolutely loved our Retro Tour Paris experience! Riding through the city in a vintage sidecar was such a fun and original way to explore Paris — we saw so many iconic spots from a completely new perspective. Our guide was fun, knowledgeable, and shared lots of interesting historical facts and hidden gems along the way. It was the perfect mix of adventure, culture, and sightseeing — with plenty of laughs and great photo opportunities! Whether it’s your first time in Paris or you’ve been before, this tour is a must. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a memorable and stylish Parisian experience! 🛵💨🇫🇷 Also, thank you Greg for the restaurant tip, it was delicious and we will definitely go back!!! @acasaluna 👌🏼
Great experience zipping around Paris on our first day! Alain and Grégoire were wonderful guides! They adapted to the weather and traffic of the moment so that we could cover a lot of ground and get a lay of the land. Great way to kick off first trip to Paris when you are jet lagged a bit.
It was so much fun! They planned the route to avoid traffic and to take you to areas you may not have seen. The drivers were fun and told us about a lot of neighborhoods and sights. Well worth doing!
We had been looking forward to this tour and we were not disappointed! We were picked up on time from our hotel and returned safely after. I was comfortable in the sidecar despite having mobility issues. Our two hour tour took in The Louvre, Moulin Rouge, Montmartre village and Sacre Coeur before returning via Arc de Triomphe, Champs Elysees and Invalides. Michael, our "Charioteer", was a skilful driver and informative guide, He knew all the best places to park up for the best tourist landmark photos. The ride through the Paris traffic could best be described as exhilarating. Altogether an excellent experience and worth every penny.
Five Stars, one of the best tours and experience that me and my wife have ever had together. Our driver, Gion was passionate about our tour experience and made sure he understood what we wanted to see together. On the day of our ride, there was light rain but we were provided rain ponchos to wear. Despite the occasional rain, mother nature could not damper our spirits nor the sheer joy of exploring the city by motorcycle. This tour was our highlight of our trip and we can't wait to take another trip with Retro Tours! If you do nothing else in Paris, book this tour for an experience you will always remember!
Oh man if you are thinking about this -- book it! This was one of the highlights of my trip. While I had already spent quite a while walking/biking/metro-ing around Paris, there was just something about zipping around in the sidecar and seeing all the sights from that vantage point, not to mention the excellent context and information from my guide/driver, Tim (he also took amazing photos!) I went by myself and had a blast, though I also saw an earlier group leaving that was a much larger group, and they looked to be having an excellent time, as well. This was the perfect way to spend an hour or so in the afternoon.
Unbelievable experience. We absolutely loved it!!! Our guides We’re over the top good - Jordan, William, Joe and another great driver made our trip one for the books. We ranged from 81 years to 13 years and everyone loved it. It was the best. We are looking into a second ride. Book it!! You won’t regret it.
You’ll never see Paris in a more unique way than on the back of Joe’s motorcycle, or in the sidecar beside him! We enjoyed Joe’s extensive knowledge of France as well as his entertaining stories! Tres Bien!
Great way to start our visit to Paris. Fun experience. Motorcycles went fast so had to hold on! 18 yr olds really liked it.
I would highly recommend the retro motorbike and sidecar tour. So much fun and the team are great and chat along your route. Excellent communication and know where the best photo shoot stops are. I wish we had booked longer
We felt like movie stars - everyone was taking our picture on the tour. Great fun to surprise your travel partner with. I’d recommend early weekend booking so traffic is minimal.
Absolutely a highlight of my visit even though it was 50 degrees and raining! I had a blast. Would highly recommend and if I come back I’ll do a longer tour.
A must do in Paris. Great way to see the hidden gems of this fabulous city. Our guides were fantastic. Great fun and so knowledgeable.
We recently took the Great Escape Retro Bike tour in Paris and LOVED it! Our guides, Alan and Timothy were incredible! They arrived to pick us up at our hotel right on time. We were travelling with our two kids (9 and 11). The kids rode in the side-kick compartment, my husband and I on the back of the bikes. Alan asked us at the start of our tour what we wanted to see and where we wanted to go; he tailored our ride specifically to our needs, and took us not only through the city, but all throughout Monmarte, which we really wanted to see. He even helped us get in to a lovely cafe sitting right on the street at the end of our tour. Both Alan and Timothy pointed out the places and sights as we were passing. They were exceptionally knowledgable, friendly, and fun! We would highly recommend this tour, especially for families!! A must-do on your first time to Paris!!
Our tour with Alan was a blast! He was a wonderful guide, kind, funny, informative and an excellent driver. It is such a great way to see the city - up close, fast, and people smile at you! We saw a tour earlier in our visit and said we had to do it, we are so glad we did!
Amazing experience! The best way to see Paris. We loved it and our guide, Alex, was both helpful and informative. Organization was great too when I needed to change the time.
This was my second experience with Retro Tours in Paris and the experience was amazing. Thank you Max for educating my niece and I on the history of each landmark.
The best way to see Paris. Our guides were awesome, explaining the sites, and taking us down some little known back roads. It was a great time.
Max was my tour guide and he was awesome! He took me to a few little hidden places and just drove me all over Paris and it was a beautiful ride. Back to a helmet and retro goggles. I would highly recommend Max. When you make your reservation I would do it again
I recently went on a tour with my elderly mother. Emanuel and Michael were our guides. We had the BEST time!!! What a great way to see the sights of Paris without having to walk, but in such a fun way! My mother had the best time!! Our guides were so kind with assisting my mother; they really took care of all of her needs and never complained!! I will definitely recommend this to all of my friends!! I will also do it again next time I am in Paris!!! Thank you Emanuel and Michael for such an amazing experience!!!
City Break Paris Monday 1- Friday 5 July 2024. We(my sister and myself) set off to Paris on the Eurostar train from London St.Pancras International at 5.30pm on the Monday evening, and we arrived in Paris at Gare Du Nord Station at 8pm, and from the train station, it was a short walk to our hotel The Angleterre Hotel, when we arrived there, we were checked in by a very helpful receptionist Riyad who handed us a signing in book, and gave us our room key, no.49 on the fifth floor of the hotel, ( fortunately the hotel had a lift that was working). While we were in the hotel, our plan was to use the hotel as a base, for seeing the sights of Paris, and to that end, Riyad the receptionist gave my sister a tourist map of Paris, which had three smaller maps on it, a street map of the area around the hotel, a map of the bus stops in the area, if we wanted to use buses to get around, and a Paris Metro map,on which Riyad had circled the nearest Metro station to the hotel, which turned out to be very useful, as we decided to use the Metro to get around Paris for sight-seeing. Over the next three days, we both did a lot of walking and seeing, we saw the Arc de Triomphe, we walked along the Champs Elysees, we went to the Louvres Museum, (my sister wanted to see this in particular, it was very very good), we saw the Paris Bourse (the Stock Exchange) we saw the National Library of France, we saw Notre Dame Cathedral, we went on a river cruise of the Seine, we saw the National Army Museum near the Louvre, on thew river cruise we passed the National Assembly Building( the French Parliament) and the Tuileries Gardens, near the Louvre Museum, using the Metro was straight-forward using our Metro map. After each day sight-seeing we went back to the hotel, and in the evenings we saw another receptionist, Salim, who was also very helpful to us. Overall this trip was very good, and if you have or get a chance to visit Paris, both of us highly recommend it.
This is a MUST! I sat behind our guide Thierry while my 12 year old sat in the sidecar. It was a blast while getting to see all the highlights of Paris. Thierry took extra time and care which was much appreciated!!
We had the best experience touring Paris as a family in side car motorcycle! It was the experience of a lifetime! And a highlight to our trip! Alan and Max were extraordinary!
Hop on hop bus offered better value for money motorcycle trip overpriced lacked pick up options if it rains you screwed traffic a nightmare in paris
This is the best thing we've ever done on a city break. Our drivers were amazing and chatty - full of interesting information about Paris. Aside from being informative it was also great fun. We all had cramp in our faces when we finished from the amount of smiling we did. It was over all too soon but we are still talking about it now.
From the start, Martin and Alan made our trip memorable. They met us at the hotel and, after a quick safety overview, asked us what we wanted to see. My daughter was a little nervous about the sidecar and both of them were patient and cheerful as they helped her get comfortable (fast forward: She loved it!). Whether you are in the sidecar or on the back of the bike, you will have some amazing and very unique perspectives on the city. In addition, both Alan and Martin were exceptional guides - in addition to know the streets, they talk us about the history of various locations and pointed out some hidden gems.
It was a Mother Daughter trip and it was the best experience we had! Our guide was so knowledgeable and charming!! It was a must to top off our amazing trip!
This was the highlight of our trip ~ I highly recommend everyone to do this tour! it was so much fun!!!! The guides were informative and so nice. This was an amazing way to see most of the city by motorcycle ~ So fun!
The tour was amazing! Mike and Max were our guides and they were very friendly and knowledgeable about the city. They made the highlight of our vacation! Thank you Retro Tours, Mike and Max!!
RetroTour Paris Motorcycle Ride – AMAZING!!!! They came to our hotel to pick us up for 5pm and we chose the ‘Great Escape Tour’ – there were 2 routes to choose from – Montmartre or the Eiffel Tower (which we chose). It was a little chilly (November), but you do get goggles, helmet, gloves, and the side car had a blanket. My husband and I switched mid-ride so we could both experience the side car (totally fun to ride in a side car!). Our guide (I hate that I can't remember his name - I think it was Max/Mike/Martin) drove us around and showed talked to us about some key historical spots, and took us to a wonderful photo op of the Eiffel tower at night! He timed it so perfectly so that when we arrived, the Eiffel tower started with a sparkling light display that they do on the hour! It was a definite highlight of our trip! At the end we asked hour driver to recommend an authentic creperie and he dropped us off at a local favourite – ‘Le Petit Josselin’ in Montparnasse which was delicious! I highly recommend this tour - especially at the beginning of your trip - as it's a great way to get a feel of the city and quickly see the different neighbourhoods that you may want to explore more!
This trip was amazing and I would recommend this to see the sites in Paris. It was my husbands 60th Birthday and he thoroughly enjoyed it. The man that was driving the bike made it for us , he was funny and spoke really good English and was very informative on the sites. Loved every minute of this 😍
Absolutely wonderful tour and guide. Highly recommend! This is the perfect way to see Paris, great overview of the city from street-level with a personable and knowledgeable guide.
The guides were great and knowledgeable. So much fun. Laughed the whole time. Will never forget this trip with my daughters.
