Paris was a busy place in the 19th century, and the public wanted to know everything that was going on. Journalist Arthur Meyer (1844-1917) came up with the idea of creating life-size, three-dimensional models of the people who made the headlines in the famous daily paper "Le Gaulois". Meyer's idea was simple: to create a place where the public could walk through a setting peopled with wax figures. It was an instant success! Discover a completely renovated Grevin Wax Museum. Experience the spirit of Paris of yesterday and today with scenes from the major events of the 20th century, French history and the latest news. See the brasserie, the theatre, artists' studios - all the legendary Parisian haunts where you will rub shoulders with the "Tout Paris" celebrities. Three hundred wax figures are waiting to meet you, to be photographed with you and be remembered forever. The Grevin's free discovery tour reveals the well-kept secrets of making wax celebrities! After meeting Louis XIV, Mozart, Jean Reno, Leonardo DiCaprio, and more, children can have fun finding out how all those wax figures are made.

Very nice experience(Especially if the weather is not good). Among the wax character you can recognise are: Michael Jackson, Madonna, Lady Diana, Trump, Beyoncé, and many more
Not worth the price because we felt like cattle forced through a shoot. Too many people and very poor crowd management. Most figures weren't really life like.
Grevin Museum is a nice place to visit, but if you compare it with Madame Tussauds, it unfortunately falls a bit short. There are fewer figures, and many of them may not be familiar to the average tourist. On top of that, some celebrities don’t look much like the originals. That said, the atmosphere is pleasant, everything is clean and comfortable, and the staff are polite and welcoming. Overall, it’s still an enjoyable visit, just don’t expect the same wow effect as in Madame Tussauds.
So realistic! We were not familiar with some of the wax models, but it was a great display with a lot of variety
I recently visited the Musée Grévin after more than 30 years, and I was pleasantly surprised by how much the experience has evolved! The museum is truly engaging for all ages, making it an excellent outing for families. The wax figures are impressively realistic, and the settings make the experience feel immersive. I especially appreciated how interactive the visit was, which made it even more enjoyable. One thing to note: the first attraction features very loud sound effects and intense lighting. While it adds to the spectacle, it would be helpful to have a warning at the entrance for visitors who may be sensitive to loud noises or flashing lights. Another small improvement would be the addition of QR codes next to the statues, allowing visitors to access more information without feeling rushed, especially when there’s a crowd. Despite these minor points, I highly recommend the Musée Grévin! It’s a fun, fascinating, and well-curated experience that I would gladly do again. A must-visit in Paris!
This is a neat experience but if you're not familiar with French culture some of the celebrities may be unknown to you. There are a lot of opportunities to interact with the figures, which my 12 year old loved. Great location.
We were looking for somewhere near our accommodation to spend a couple of hours before we checked in. The museum was a pleasant surprise, perfect to spend time with young children. We are from the UK but still found many celebrities that we knew. My daughter was thrilled to see the characters from Miraculous! There were many interactive activities in the museum that were a great bonus, and interesting historical figures. In all this was a great find, however, we did feel that the tickets were expensive as a family of four. Would recommend booking a few days in advance to get the cheaper rate - we booked on the day and so had to pay more, which would be my only gripe!
The museum is quite good but since it's in France a lot of the figures are of famous French people. You can get in for free with Paris Pass.
I’ve wanted to visit here for a number of years and am glad i finally managed to see it. Set in a beautiful building is this very entertaining wax museum. Whilst not quite at the extremely high standards of Madame Tussauds this is a very fine wax museum. Obviously being in France there are a lot of figures connected to French culture but there are plenty of figures in the different areas that most people will recognise and enjoy. I enjoyed the figures and exploring the elaborate building and would definitely visit again if i get the chance. I was surprised they didn’t appear to have a chamber of horrors type area but found it interesting they had at least one historical artefact in the Jean-Paul Marat exhibit.
Loved the different zones creating different worlds. Some of the sculptures were really good! The other experiences eg mirror hall.
We loved seeing all the celebrities and taking pictures with them. Also loved the Parcours Photo stations.
the opening light and sound show was really nice. Just enjoyed the whole museum. Would have enjoyed more historical figures.
We took a lot of pictures beside our favorite celebrities. They were amazingly lifelike facsimiles. Visitor control allowed everyone to see the characters on display.
It was a beautiful experience. The museum is trying to offer to the visitors both the pleasure to meet some of the most famous people in the world in their wax version and some magic. It is interesting and anyway you will not regret. Seeing other wax museums in the world, Grevin Museum is a little bit smaller than others and, that’s why is kind of crowded. And the statues are, in some tight places, one very closed to the other one. Anyway, i recommend.
Before buying a ticket I asked several employees if I it was OK to bring my dog, as she was in a stroller. All of them said yes! After I buy the ticket they tell me the elevator is broken and force me to take my dog out of the stroller. Again I confirmed “is it ok to bring my dog” and they said yes. Once I get in they start demanding I carry my 25lb corgi up and down stairs throughout the entire place. I asked to leave, as it was too uncomfortable for myself and my dog to carry and try to enjoy the exhibit. We were very upset, what a waste of money and time. They did not even offer a refund. To the company l hope you enjoy the 30 euro we wasted on a horrible experience.
We stumbled upon this museum whilst having lunch on the same street. It was quite busy been a pubic holiday but we did not wait too long to get in (pre paid tickets). The mirror exhibition was pretty cool and then you could walk through at your own leisure through the wax exhibits. There were lots of French celebrities that I didn't know, but that didn't matter, there was more than enough content to last 2 hours. The exhibits are pretty cool moving throughout history and then to movie and sports stars. I would give this an extra star but did think it was a little but steep at 74euro for two adults and a child.
It was OK. A good OK. Went there as a filler with my elderly in-laws. They enjoyed. Maybe it is not fair since wax museums aren't my cup of tea,
The wax museums was amazing they are so life like and really look like the celebrities. We was able to try on some of the costumes etc and it was fun and we totally enjoyed the day. We only wish that they had a few more memorable wax museums like Whitney Houston, Aaliyah, Lisa left eye lopes
The figures are not realistic, the photos do not look real even from a distance. It’s frustrating, the figures are almost good. Most figures aren’t the right size; Sarkozy and Carla Bruni were the same height??? It’s also really expensive.
We had a great outing on this Wax Museum, worldwide artists and figures, it does have nice sections that actually you can "interact" with your favorites stars. Money well spend and lots of fun for the whole family.
We took in the Grevin Wax Museum on our second day in Paris. A nicely laid out facility the quality of the wax statues was really good. Although it had a good number of famous celebrities on hand a good chunk of the people were famous French celebrities and TV personalities who we did not know. That being said my family and I thoroughly enjoyed our walk through and would not hesitate to recommend it for a visit.
All of the figures looked so real especially the eyes, and hair and the facial expressions were great!
Absolutely loved it! We visited with teens and they loved posing with all the waxworks. Everything was interactive and the setting is stunning inside a beautiful old theatre. Being English we didn’t recognise all the celebrities but this didn’t detract from the enjoyment. Would thoroughly recommend a visit.
An excellent visit. Something unusual and wonderful to experience. Was well.worth the money and would happily go again as needed more time. Well done to all concerned.
The Hall of Mirrors was a fantastic and unique experience. The wax figures were pretty decent. Altogether, we had a fun time here.
We spend our summers in Paris and we were just looking for a little amusement as we wandered about. This was a nice surprise. We had a very good time -laughing all the way through and taking photos with our favorite wax people. This is only for people who have been in Paris a million times!
Takes about an hour. It’s fun and a good filler. If you’ve read anything about French history it will make more sense
We went without doing much research and relatively low expectations, but looking for something different on a rainy afternoon. We were very pleasantly surprised! The layout is fun and interactive - visitors are encouraged to interact with the exhibits, in bars, offices, kitchens and other fun environments. Some of the stars looked rather artificial, but also many were extremely realistic and definitely gave me the "uncanny valley" feeling. There were lots of French celebrities that I didn't know, but that didn't matter, there was more than enough content to last 2 hours.
Really Worth visit. Got Wonderful experience , suggest everyone must visit , while staying in paris .
This is the BEST wax museum. We went there with little expectations even thought the reviews were high. This was interactive to a degree. I had coffe with Picasso. Champagne with George Clooney and stood beside a very tall now Biden and a very short Queen Elizabeth. Sat beside John Lennon in The theater. Granted there were some French celebrities I didn’t know. But it was equally fun seeing them. Put your face in place of Mona Lisa. Watch a man walk by a window apparently realizing the wax figure is him. Hysterical. The entry hall of mirrors is spectacular.
I loved every moment. I will definitely bring my friends here when next I come to Paris. I took pictures with Obama and other world leaders
Our experience started with a lights/mirror show in a darkened room and effects that was really brilliant. Once this is finished you walk through the museum at your pace, but it is a challenge as the path is very narrow and there are wax figures on either side of you and everyone around you is wanting to take photos with the heros. Quite impossible. I did not know what to expect, but as I had been to Madame Trussauds in London, I think I was expecting a bit more international known waxed figures. So as most of the exhibits are unknown to us, in that they were mainly french stars and celebrities. We did find one hall that had some ingternational figures. It was a little hot and stuffy in the museum and we did not linger as we got bored. I must say though it was lovely to see the locals so excited at the exhibits.
Glad to see every popular person around the world in one place. Needless to queue for a photograph. Plus some activities to interact with.
We arrive at 10h00, but there was already 250 pupils from 4 to 12 years!!!!!!!! A little bit too much frenchy, but we are in Paris!!!!!!!!
I advise everyone to visit the museum Characters inspired the world Cleanliness of the place and arrangement of characters
Maybe something to do on a rainy day but not a 'must see' in Paris. The entrance fee is pretty high for the experience. First oart with the light show is pretty good but a bit disappointed by the likeness and quality of the figures. There will be alot of french actors snd entertainers that most foreigners wouldn't know.
The line for w tickets or voucher was just as long as the line wo them. I liked having mmt tickets/ voucher in hand early bc things sell out. We did a day trip and the museum is a hot tourist spot. Very crowded but we enjoyed it.
Well for someone who’s not French, i was a little confused in the beginning but somewhere in the middle I started to recognize alot of the figures. Had alot of fun even on a crowded sunday of summer holiday. I think you will have fun if you are fond of taking pictures!
Was quite nice to visit it and see all the was figures! If you have time visit it and take some nice pics!
We had an awesome time at the museum! My favorite was Mick Jagger, very realistic! Nice attraction in the city.
We had a good afternoon here. There are some fun activities and the building inside is stunning. We went on a Saturday afternoon as it wasn't too crowded. He care with the pictures they take as it was a little difficult to u understand how much they cost so we ended up with more than we wanted. The photos are 10 euros each. All in all good fun and worth a visit.
Like all other wax museums : worth seeing if you know about French cultural life. If not, you should know your world history characters.
Something different whilst exploring rest of the Paris Pass attractions. I would not pay specifically to get in. It’s French themed which is quite cool. I don’t think it’s as good as Madame Tusades in London. Light show at beginning is cool, and there are some good life like images. Our small kids enjoyed it.
One of the few places in Paris which should not be missed. They start with a 5min light show which is quite unique. The life like figures are a treat in itself. My son really loved it.
Lots of celebrities to see and pose with. It was larger than we anticipated, and was free with our Paris Museum Pass. It's on the Champs Elyses just by the Hard Rock Cafe. It has been there for many many years, so it's historic in it's own right.
We spent the afternoon here after eating in the restaurant next door after meeting old work colleagues. Thinking it was going to be like Madam Tussauds..... Well it is, sort of... Lots of wax works, most French celebrities who we'd never heard of but numerous others of international celebrities. It was a fascinating place to spend a couple of hours but unless you're up with your French celebs, most of the works will mean nothing!!
I had visited this wax museum in my childhood and I was happy to see how the concept was rejuvenated in the meantime. We were lucky to have almost no line ; the standard price for an adult is a bit on the high side (24.50€) but there are many ways to get a discount. There is a good balance between French and international, and between contemporary and past characters. Plenty of occasions to take fun pictures. The quality of some of the models is stunning, you almost could feel they are going to talk and move ! Also, don't forget to have a look at the accessories and side activities (drawing, KTV...), as well as to the building itself, it's worth looking for the details !

We enjoyed the wax museum very much. All the wax figures looked so very real. It was amazing how real they really looked. I would recommend going thru the museum.

Some of the wax figures looked incredibly real, however, there were a few that just wasn't great. But overall its an interesting experience.
