Julie was wonderful but I would hardly call this a food tour. Very little food. Went on a much better one last year. Paid more for it but tasted many foods and had lunch.
Gaspard was a wonderful guide with extensive knowledge of Le Marais, it's history, and it's food! He had a great rapport with the people at all our stops which made us feel welcome and comfortable!
LOVED our guide he was golden but this tour was MISREPRESENTED in a BIG WAY. It included (so it said) hotel pick up and drop off and we walked half an hour to get to it and it ended us up 70 minutes away from our hotel so we got ripped off in a pull cart by a muslim who saved us 10 mins walking for $60 euro. Just messed the whole day up. We messaged the tour company and they RUDELY said they NEVER pick up but to meet the yellow umbrella guy at this address NOBODY knows lol. Just investigate before believing ANY TOUR OPERATION.
Our tour guide, Zara, was very knowledgeable on French history, cuisine, and culture. Me and my wife had a great time talking with her. As for the actual food, it was nice trying different staple French foods and they were good. However, a few items were clearly frozen and heated up on the spot, so don’t expect home made or fresh made foods for the entire night. Overall, it was a great way to get introduced to French cuisine as a first timer and I recommend the tour to anyone visiting.
Matt was awesome! This was my second food tour (I did the night Montmartre tour in Fall 2025) and it was a great combination of food and history. The detailed talk about the reconstruction of Notre-Dame Cathedral was a highlight. The food at the end in a traditional French sequence (food, cheese, dessert) was a fabulous way to end the tour.
Olivia was hands down THE BEST guide EVER! She is a delight! She is authentic! She is just a joy! I will recommend her to all who visit France. She is so wonderful that I would pay to have her meet us in other parts of France.
Great food tour! We have been to many food tours around the world and found Nas’ tour to be among the best. Very personal and informative. She speaks English perfectly, better than most Americans. Love the secret location where she walks us through the various wines, cheeses and meats of France and let’s us try them all. Go on an empty stomach as you will eat a lot!
Our guide, Olivia, was a true joy, her energy was amazing. Her food, wine and general tourism knowledge was expansive.
We had a great time with Naf. She was knowledgeable and energetic. The food choices were very well prepared and had great variety. There was enough food for our evening meal. The history along the way was great too. We would highly recommend this tour.
Luz was a wonderful guide. She has extensive knowledge of history and the ability to convey the information in an organized and understandable way. 5 stars for her. The food part of the tour was very good but we were a bit disappointed in the way it was given out. The tour lasted over 3 hours but during the first 3 hours we only sampled three items. The remainder was served at the end of the tour as we sat at a table in a storefront belonging to the tour company. The food was very good, but we would have preferred more of it in the form of street food and to have had it spread out during the entire length of the tour. Still, I would highly recommend the tour if you want a combination of Paris history and food tasting.
Louis was wonderful! Entertaining and thoughtful. Such an interesting tour through the streets of Montmartre - I felt as though I was living in Paris and exploring the different shops (patisserie, boulangerie, butcherie, and chocolatier). Everything one would need to prepare a meal and then sit down with friends to share wine and conversation. With some history of Paris and strolling the streets you really felt part of the city. Definitely recommend! If you were lucky to get Louis Francois it’s a bonus! Great spoken English and sense of humor!
The tour was fantastic. Aramis was really knowledgeable of the Latin Quarter and there was so much food. We would thoroughly recommend this tour. Cheers Rob and Tania
I chose this tour as it was the only one available on a Sunday, at the time I needed. I have done many other food tours in lots of different countries, including a fabulous one in Paris previously. Our guide was sweet, but the tour only included 2 -3 rushed and very crowded shop visits, a long time outside Notre Dame and then a reheated meal served in a strange private former wine bar. The atmosphere was unusual. There was only red wine served. I left early, so cannot comment on the cheese or dessert. If you are looking for a good food tour, I would suggest avoiding Sundays at the very least, and perhaps choosing a different company.
Unlike most food tours, this one finishes with a sitdown meal, enjoying all dishes and cheeses from Paris. Emmanuel was the best!
This tour was fantastic!! Great information and the top tier guide. The food and wine was sooo good. The highlight of the food for me was the Crêpe! Best Crêpe I have ever tasted. Highly recommend this tour.
Had a great time and highly reccomend! Aicha was wonderful! Fun group and learned a lot with lots of fun facts and foods.
Our guide Aramis was fantastic. We learned so much about the history of some French staples. More food and drink than we could consume. Great sense of the old city and Latin Quarter
It was fantastic. The group was amazing. which made it that much better. Our tour guide, she just was great and had a great personality and disposition
Aramis was such a fantastic guide! I learned so much that I can’t wait to tell my friends and family in New Orleans. She was normally knowledgeable, funny but also super sweet!! I thoroughly enjoyed this experience and will definitely be recommending her specifically to my friends.
Aramis was amazing! My family and I were fortunate enough to go on the Paris food tour (Notredam/Latin Quarters) and she was very knowledgeable and patient with the questions being asked. The choice of food and treats were also great. She’s warm and sweet and explained every detail on why the certain items were chosen. By the end of the tour we were all friends! She’s great!! Lucky to have had her show us around on our first time in Paris!!
It was a lovely tour and Aramis was a great guide!
Very friendly and helpful tour roaming the city while trying things from most of the places we visited!
Outstanding experience. And a full meal included
Our guide was lovely, but overall this was quite a disappointing tour. The food was average, we didn’t even go into several of the places, the final place we ate was a bit odd. We’ve been on several food tours over the years and this was by far the least enjoyable.
Nice time - especially for a cold, windy and drizzly day. Aramis was kind and sweet and took care of us. Would recommend.
Aramis is a very patient and polite individual who took her time out to explain every detail of the tour,I will reprimand her to anyone at any giving time
From start to finish we had a fantastic experience with Matt. He entertained us and provided so much information about the food we ate and the places we visited - All very relaxed and highly recommended 😁
The tour was amazing! Matthew is a great guide! He was very personable and made sure everyone was having a good time. We loved going to the various locations to eat or pick up food to eat at their location at the end of the tour. All the food was delicious, as was the wine! Highly recommend!
Matthew right from the start created intrigue into what we are in for. Matthew’s knowledge of food was astonishing. You can tell it is his passion and wants to impart knowledge to his guests. I learnt so many things on his tour. I don’t want to let the cat out of the bag, so won’t be specific. I can’t rate this tour a Matthew the guide high enough.
Yoyo was great and we enjoyed the tour. However, it’s not really a true food tour. The guide went to a series of shops, took us to a location and we sampled different cured meats and cheeses. On other food tours we have been on, we sampled actual dishes from the local cuisine and sat in restaurants and soaked up the local culture. That is not what this tour is at all. A little more truth in advertising would be helpful and we would likely have selected something else.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ If you’re a foodie who enjoys discovering new flavors, especially unique cheeses, this tour is definitely for you! Our guide, Julie, was absolutely wonderful! She was knowledgeable, engaging, and a little mysterious in the best possible way. I didn’t even realize she was gathering delicious treats along the way until we finally sat down to enjoy a beautiful selection of meats, cheeses, and wines. And the cheese! The truffle cheese was hands down my favorite, but can we talk about the BUTTER?! Oh my goodness! Julie did a fantastic job explaining the different regions the wines and cheeses came from and how their flavors complemented one another. Everything felt thoughtfully selected, and the pairings were excellent. What I especially appreciated was the pacing. We weren’t constantly stopping to eat while walking, and the tour never felt rushed or unnecessarily long. Instead, we had the opportunity to sit together, enjoy the food and wine, have conversations, and actually get to know the people we were sharing the experience with. That made it feel so much more personal and enjoyable. And a little tip from me: Save your chocolate for last! You’ll understand why once you’ve enjoyed everything else. 😉 This was a beautifully balanced experience filled with wonderful flavors, interesting information, and great company. Thank you, Julie, for such a lovely experience! 🧀🍷
Really fun, engaging, and delicious tour through Montmartre! Our guide, Dina, was incredibly knowledgeable (she grew up in the neighborhood) and provided many great tidbits about the history of Montmartre as well as about the food and wine. The walk around the neighborhood was really peaceful and a great pace. The culminating “secret spot” lunch was very well done and such a delicious treat after the walking tour portion. After the tour we ended up going back to the businesses that were highlighted, all of the products were that good! Highly recommend this tour!
Great experience! Learned interesting history as well as great variety of foods. Would highly recommend the tour if you want to experience French cuisine
Clean room, great breakfast, and friendly staff. Four nights with zero complaints. Tip: Request a room on the upper floors to avoid street noise.
Duniya was phenomenal with historical knowledge, amazing locations, variety, & amazing food. Along with local recommendations.
What an absolutely amazing experience! Our Montmartre food tour was hands down one of the highlights of our time in Paris, and an experience we would happily do again and again! From beginning to end, everything about this tour was wonderful. Our tour guide Naf was truly exceptional! Knowledgeable, engaging, warm, and so much fun, Naf brought the neighborhood to life with fascinating stories, local insights, and a genuine passion for Parisian food and culture. It felt less like a traditional tour and more like exploring the charming streets of Montmartre with a wonderful friend who knew all the best spots! And the food was incredible! Every stop offered something delicious and memorable. From the perfectly prepared crêpes and fabulous selection of French cheeses and meats to the delicate, delicious macarons and wonderful wines, it was an absolute feast for the senses. Each tasting was a chance to experience something special, and we loved the variety and authenticity of it all. Beyond the amazing food, what made this experience so special was the opportunity to explore the beauty and charm of Montmartre. The picturesque cobblestone streets, quaint shops, beautiful architecture, and vibrant atmosphere made the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable afternoon. It was such a wonderful way to experience a different side of Paris while enjoying some of the very best things French cuisine has to offer. We honestly cannot say enough wonderful things about this tour. It exceeded our expectations in every way and left us with fantastic memories, full stomachs, and an even greater appreciation for Paris! If you’re visiting Paris, do yourself a favor and book this tour! Whether you’re a foodie, a wine lover, or simply someone who enjoys discovering beautiful places and making wonderful memories, you will absolutely love it. We would do it again in a heartbeat—and probably will on our next visit! Five stars simply aren’t enough!
Zephyr the tour guide was knowledgeable and very approachable. A fun way to see a cool neighborhood.
If you want to learn a ton about Paris food, customs, and traditions, this is a must. Emmanuel, our tour guide, was fun and interesting. Although it was clear that he had little regard for USA food and visitors, I was not offended, disappointed, or surprised by his comments. In fact, his comments were made with respect and in a fun way. He prepared a terrific sit down lunch of wine, cheese, meats, baguettes, and dessert. In addition, we sampled crepes, macaroons, and chocolate as we walked around beautiful Montmartre. This is a must do if you want to experience some of the many things about which Paris is known and loved.
I would highly recommend this food tour!! The tour itself was amazing - well paced and informative, while introducing tasty food (lots of it) from various vendors in the area. Matt was an excellent tour guide (one of the best we had the pleasure of meeting in France)! His sense of humour and “props” made the tour entertaining and educational. Despite the many times he must have done this, he made us feel special and welcome. We have actually already suggested this tour (with Matt as a guide) to others. Well done!!
Marcel is a great tour guide with a vast array of knowledge about the food and area. We really enjoyed our tour.
This food tour was absolutely a highlight of the trip. Our guide, Dina, was an amazing host and so much fun to explore her neighborhood with. The food was so good and Dina’s recommendation for dinner was spot on.
This was an awesome experience. Our group was awesome and loved food just as much as my husband and me. Dena was the best guide yet. She was from the area and knew many of the shops and owners that we visited including a macaroon, cheese, meat, and crepe shops. She taught us history about the school system and how eating good quality food is part of the school program. She also shared how to choose an authentic and quality restaurant as well as information about cheeses and wine. It was a delightful and satisfying tour that will get you full and merry.
If there was a 0 option that's what this would get. There were numerous problems right from the website itinerary to the tour itself. #1 We booked through Viator, but it doesn't matter who you book through, the itinerary that's listed (wall of love, Moulin Rouge, etc.) is not the tour you get. What is being listed on any website describing the itinerary of this tour is a flat out lie. #2 They claim there are 3 meet up points where you can start the tour. Another lie. We chose the meet up closest to us which was not where the tour started, not even close to it. We attempted to go to another location on the itinerary (Moulin Rouge) which the tour doesn't even get.close to. #3 Trying to contact the tour/Viator led to more issues. We were told to meet the tour along the way. We were given a map with a location. This was a short street with a hotel, a craft shop and homes/flats. No tour and no tour destinations. #4 By the time we finally caught up to the tour it was over an hour into it. Their location was no where close to what the itinerary says. We were told they had only been to 1 place. We then went to 3 other places then were led to an area to sit. So the actual walking tour is only 4 places on one street. #5 The tour then went to a room where the tour guide gave us samples of the food from the 3 places and wine. Essentially this was a wine and cheese tasting with a few slices of meat thrown in. They were all very good but that was NOT the tour we booked. The person I was with does not drink and does not eat cheese. #6 Both of us are vegetarian. We were told that could be accommodated easily. We both have been on food tours in the past. Every tour substitutes 1 vegetarian option for the meat option. This tour had 4 meat samples and we were given a sample of vegetarian quiche only. #6 Multiple attempts were made to contact Viator and the actual tour company. All that can be said about that is they're out for the money and couldn't care less that they know they have misrepresented the tour. #7 For the actual amount we paid for this tour it was definitely not worth what we got; 4 food places while the tour guide goes inside then go to a room to sample them. #8 I originally included photos of the itinerary and the choices for the meet up in my review. They wouldn't post it because my photos were "blurry". They were screen shots which were definitely not blurry. I also noticed the description had changed slightly.
This was my first Secret Food Tour and it was a wonderful experience. Our guide Matt did a fabulous job of making the tastings delicious, informative, and fun. I would highly recommend this Paris tour. We had a great group to share the fun.
Avoid this tour This is falsely advertised on Viator as a walking food tour of Paris, with an itinerary of the Notre Dame, the island on the Seine, Monmartre, the Latin quarter, the Pantheon, the Gothic church, the Latin quarter, Shakespeare and Company and many other monuments... but we only walked down one market street in monmartre and were taken to a room for 90 mins to sit down. There was no Food tasting, this was a cheese and wine instead. We love food walks around the world and id say this was the worst one if it wasnt for the fact that its NOT a foor walking tour at all. I had my first suspicion this was weird when the tour guide bought the samples from the shops and just carried them instead of letting the group sample. She took all the cheeses to the room to serve them with wine, basically this is a Shop With Yoyr Guide For Cheses and then sit down to eat them. You dont see Paris and you dont sample cuisines from the city or any different foods or flavours from the streets of Paris at all. Falsely advertised and only suitable for cheese and wine people. Also there are no vegetarian options even though the tour says thry provide vege menus- instead the vegetarians waited while the group was served meets and pates (only vege option was when the quiche came out, there was a leak one there). Also advertised as starting at 56 pounds when it costs 110 pounds. Overall do not book this if you want to SEE Paris, walk around its streets or sample local delicacies, that wont be happening 😞
Matt was phenomenal. Absolutely recommend.
Amazing tour with Matt! Our family (including 2 kids) had a wonderful time!!
Lots of walking but great experience. Lots of food to try. Dress and shoes should be comfortable. Come hungry. Loved the food and history:
