Our experience with our guide Eden was wonderful. She gave us so much information in a casual yet professional way that didn't feel overwhelming. She left time for questions. and listened to our comments carefully. The tour of Notre Dame was particularly incredible.

Itinerary
Once at the meeting point, you will start your tour by exploring ile de la cite, the oldest settlement in Paris. Once known as Lutetia, this former Roman city was the predecessor of present-day Paris, from which the city grew outwards.
Step inside the iconic Notre-Dame Cathedral (Interior visit unguided due to regulations), the world’s most beloved church and a masterpiece of medieval Gothic architecture. Newly restored after the 2019 fire, it remains one of Paris’ most enduring symbols.
Located on the île de la Cité the Palais de Justice, once known as the Palais de la Cité contains some of the oldest surviving buildings such as:
A gem of Gothic style, the St Chapelle was built in seven years. It was intended to house precious Christian relics, including Christ’s crown of thorns, acquired by Saint louis.
The Conciergerie is the oldest remaining part of the Palais de la Cité, as well as at a time the most notorious prison in all of France. Over a thousand “enemies of the Revolution” were housed there, and famous figures like Marie Antoinette ended their lives there.
You will then pass by the Saint-Michel fountain, a monumental fountain commissioned by Haussmann, under Napoleon III. It depicts the archangel Michael vanquishing the Devil, evoking thoughts of the battle between Good and Evil.
Afterwards, we will see Place Dauphine, a beautiful historic square, combining all the beauty and romance of Paris. Tucked away on the western tip of the île de la Cité, Place Dauphine was one of the first projects commissioned by Henri IV.
From here, we will walk to the bridge, Pont Neuf, which is considered to be the oldest stone bridge in Paris. Today Pont-Neuf is part of the banks of the Seine listed as a World Heritage site by Unesco.
In the middle of the bridge we will see the equestrian statue of King IV. Although the original statue dated from the 1600s, the one you will see today is a replica in its placed, as the original was destroyed during the French Revolution.
Before making our way to the Louvre we will see the Pont des Arts, a bridge which connects the Insitut de France and the Louvre. Built between 1801 and 1804, it was the first iron bridge in Paris.
We will then move towards the infamous Louvre Museum, the world’s most visited art museum with a collection that spans work from ancient civilizations to the mid-19th century. During this part of the tour, we will pass through the Cour Carrée, one of the main courtyards of the Louvre Palace and see the Louvre Pyramid, the museum’s main entrance, designed by Chinese-American architect I.M. Pei.
Created by the Cardinal Richelieu in 1633, the Palais Royal and its gardens, are just a short walk from the Louvre. The Palace housed royal families up until the Palace of Versailles was built. Here you will be able to enjoy the peaceful gardens surrounded by a fantastic futuristic architecture with contemporary sculptures.
Leaving the Louvre behind us we will walk towards the Tuileries Gardens, passing through the Arc du Carrousel, a huge arc built to commemorate Napoleon’s military victories.
We will then enter the Tuileries Gardens, the oldest Park in Paris, with a history that dates back to the 17th century.
During your stroll in the Tuileries Gardens, you will pass by the Gardens’ Bookshop, a quaint bookstore tucked away in a corner which contains a large collection of gardening and landscape design books, along with some garden themed gifts and cards.
We will end our tour at Place de la Concord, a site originally known for having been an execution site during the French Revolution, and which marks the start of the Champs Elysée.

Our guide Keara with Babylon Tours was a wealth of information, witty, and we felt went above and beyond. Thankfully at the end of the tour she spent time giving us a lot of information about the Louvre, which turned out to be a blessing because our tour at the Louvre the next day ended up being canceled because protesters blocked all five entrances all day that day, and the next day that they were open, we were flying home.
Jason was amazing and shared many interesting stories. He was wonderful with our children, who really enjoyed talking to him. What a delightful morning!
Tamari was a wonderful guide. She was able to answer all of our questions and was very patient with us.
Excellent introduction to Paris, with a knowledgable tour guide. Disappointed that we couldn't get into Notre Dame, but not their fault that it was a crazy time, with European Heritage Days and a Pope visit. The rest of the tour was outstanding, though.
Our guide, Eden Mele was excellent! Very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. I rate her a 5. The tour description is misleading. You don’t really have time to go inside the Notre Dame cathedral for two reasons: 1) the long lines take longer than the allotted time; and 2) you would have to be in and out of the cathedral in 10 minutes (you probably need an hour inside). Our tour had to skip it to stay on track with the rest of the agenda.
Jay was a wonderful guide, providing helpful insights into Paris history at each of our stops. He included historic photos and kept the tour moving at a good pace. We weren’t able to access the inside of Notre Dame because the line was very long, but I still felt like we learned a lot about the history of the church as we toured the outside.
Remi was an excellent guide he made the experience fun and exciting, he was so knowledgeable and even gave us very helpful tips on another trip we had planned! Will definitely recommend to all my family, friends and colleagues!
Passionate tour guide. Took a half hour to start going (people had to go to the bathroom, check their bag, etc) and that was frustrating. Enjoyed the tour once we got started.
Kaera our guide was very knowledgeable and affable. By far the most experienced guide we’ve had in Paris.
We loved our tour guide and she was knowledgeable. However, I thought a tour of Notre Dame was going to be included. We were able to get into the church but had no guide. Other than that, we enjoyed the remainder of the tour.
A terrific evening visiting and learning about the beautiful Notre Dame and the Paris City Center. Tamari is a wonderfully considerate host and great with kids/teens. Five stars!
Had a great tour, Out guide was very informative and made the experience a great one.
This is a very easy walking tour from Notre Dame to the Louvre. Our tour guide Maria was very communicative and knowledgeable of the historical buildings. She had a fun sense of humor the group enjoyed.
This was a great way to start our vacation in Paris. We learned so much about the city’s history and plans for the future. Alasdair was an amazing guide, full of knowledge and dramatic presentation, and you should definitely request him for your tour.
Our guide Jay was excellent very knowledgeable great storyteller and a very nice guy. Should us a lot of behind the scenes information, it was a little hard to find the meeting point because of construction and our taxi driver dropped us off 2.5 kilometers away but, Jay waited!
We had a very enjoyable and informative tour. Jay was an excellent guide, very friendly and engaging with lots of fascinating stories. Thank you
Great experience! Tamari was very knowledgeable in the History of France!
Great tour. Loved the history and walking. Great guide. Demi was fantastic guide. Explained everything so clearly and succinctly.
Our tour guide Jay was fantastic! This tour was one of the highlights of our time in Paris. His knowledge of French history was incredible, and you could tell he truly loves what he does. He could easily be a history professor, the kind whose class you look forward to attending. We highly recommend Jay!
These are the WORST tour operators. Notre Dame interior was closed, but they ONLY let us know TWO days before the trip. ALL the other operators had their information updated for weeks. We were left with NO options. Completely unreliable, they will ruin your holiday. Every other operator made arrangements for their customers more than a week before because the Ordination did not just happen. They notified us two days before the trip and too late to get another booking anywhere. (They offered a 10% discount which was ridiculous, the whole purpose of the tour!)
We enjoyed our tour with Jay. He has incredible knowledge about the historic sites in Paris and shared so many interesting stories with us. He was mindful of the heat and noise in the city and always sought a shaded and quiet place to share information with us. We felt like we were wondering the streets of Paris with a friend. Jay was very informative and answered all of our questions. We really saw the highlights of Paris and learned so much with him. I highly recommend this tour if you are interested in the history of Paris and of the historic sites.
I traveled last week with my sister and my 24 year old niece. This was one of our favorite experiences on our trip to Paris. Florian was an amazing guide - personal, knowledgeable, and engaging. It felt like he walked us first hand through the incredibly rich history of this small island that birthed one of the greatest cities in the world. And as we walked through the city streets between locations, we got a glimpse into the life of a local art student with insight into the surrounding architecture, art, people, and daily life of a Parisian. It was fantastic. Do your self a favor and book it - and request Florian. :)
Alasdair S was born to be a host. He was knowledge and a natural, he even did reenactments. He was accommodating to everyone in the group and kept us on track. It is obvious he loves his job. It was a pleasure spending the day with him. My teenage daughter enjoyed it as well. He wasn’t dry and monotone and kept her interest. We all learned and had a great time.
Tour around Ile de la Cite and the South Bank. Entry to Notre Dame was not possible due to the crowds, so try to book an early morning tour. Sophie, our guide was very knowledgeable and we learnt lots of interesting facts.
Georgia was awesome! She was very well versed on all subject matter, engaging and pleasant. Totally recommend!
Our tour was everything we hoped it would be. Our tour guide, Jay C., was so welcoming and knowledgeable. We even asked if we’re allowed to book a specific guide for our next tour in Paris. Merci infiniment, Jay!
This was an amazing experience. Jason was so knowledgeable and personable. He was considerate of the needs to the attendees. It was a hot Paris day for our tour but he made sure to get us to places of shade. He made history very interesting to my ten-year-old son who asked lots of questions but also not to watered down so the adults could enjoy the culture and history of Paris. This experience was recommended and I am so glad we did it!
Maria S was amazing as our Tour Guide! We were lucky enough to have a surprise Private Tour as no other bookings came in for her. She was so knowledgeable with an accommodating and friendly approach! Thanks again for the perfect Paris experience Maria!
This turned out to be a private tour because the three other people didn’t show up. Our guide Jay waited for them for 15 minutes before starting the tour, which I thought was more than generous. Our first stop was Notre Dame where we had 20 minutes to go in by ourselves. It looked like several people inside had official guides and that would have been interesting but we opted not to do that. The line moved quickly at 9:30 am. Jay is French but spoke good English, and he often sought out places to stand or sit in the shade since the temp was 90+. I would suggest to the admin of Babylon, though, that they give the guides a sign or flag or something that better identifies them because the meeting place is also the meeting place of several other groups, making it difficult to pick out the Babylon guide. One guide texted me what he was wearing which was helpful.
What an incredible experience, our tour guide was so knowledgeable and pointed out everything. His pace was perfect so everyone experienced it. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone.
Our guide Florian G was knowledgeable, professional and helpful. He was detailed with his references and overall European history.
My mom and I had an excellent private walking tour of Paris with Georgia. She was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and engaging, and she made the history of the city come alive in such an enjoyable way. She also gave us wonderful recommendations for the rest of our trip that we’re excited to explore. Highly recommend booking with her if you want a personal, informative, and memorable experience in Paris!
Florin was a knowledgeable and shared all his knowledge with enthusiasm. He was patient. We’re all well on the older side and he took his time with the walking. We believe you went over and above even at the end he helped get us a taxi. He was brilliant and I would now I want to learn more about the Notre Dame and the highly recommend the end of this tour don’t get rid of floating He made it the best
Eden was an exceptional guide, friendly and knowledgeable. She took the time to provide context to how Paris was founded and grew, providing perspective to everything we saw as we walked up the Seine. She was ready with photos on her phone to help explain historical changes. She pointed out many details that we would haves missed if we were walking on our own. We would highly recommend Eden to anyone who wants to explore Paris in detail.
Florian is very knowledgeable. He considers everyone's interests, and he is enthusiastic about his subject. Very enjoyable tour, and would definitely recommend!
Informative and personal tour! Our guide”Jay” was incredibly personal and cool as socks on a rooster! Loved all the info he provided!
Our guide Jay brought us back in time, almost reliving how Paris came into existence and grew to be the city it is today.
I spent a wonderful morning walking around Paris with Florian! He is so knowledgeable about the art, architecture, and history of the city. His friendly, easygoing nature made me feel comfortable asking questions and having conversation. I learned a lot and had a great time too! Five stars all the way!!!
Alasdair was able to summarize the important historical events that makes Paris such a iconic city to visit. From the history of Notre Dame Cathedral and it's rebuild to the impact of Napoleon and his nephew Napoleon III that transformed the city to become a leading centre of culture and social reform. Alasdair was entertaining and knowledgeable and we do not hesitate taking a tour with him.
Had a great time! Sophia did great and we were able to see a bit of Paris on foot in a way we might have if we did not do this tour!
The tour guide, Jay, was personable and very. Knowledgeable about the area and French history. He had recommendations of museums and areas to explore.
We had a phenomenal tour guide named Jay. We did this tour the first night of our trip in Paris. This was a great way to get ourselves oriented to the city. Jay was able to provide us with history, answer our questions, and provide us with great recommendations for food and other places to visit. Highly recommend - especially the first day of your trip. If possible, ask for Jay C, you will not be disappointed 🎉
I did this tour with my 70 year old mother and we had a great time. I appreciated that it gave us time inside the Notre Dame while also showing us the medieval alleys and plazas in the oldest part of the city. The guide was very knowledgeable and personal, Jay was absolutely wonderful and made our day. He made the history accessible and provided a foundation to understand things we saw later in our trip.
Maria was an interesting & excellent guide. She spoke to us about the history of Notre Dame in great depth. The various stop off points were intriguing so that you could form a picture of the history of Paris.
Your guide was knowledgeable and told nice stories. The kids were a little bored, not her fault just kids being kids. Loved the area and just so nice to walk buy something and learn about it.
It would be rude for sure if I had not sent a review for such a fine tour given by Eden of Notre Dame & Paris exclusive walking tour! Eden was very energetic, informative, and a joy to be around! She happily answered all questions while telling us so much about what we were seeing, and honestly I do not know if she could have been more prepared, knowledgeable, and enjoyable. We will not forget our tour with her for a long time to come. Thank you for asking! Donna & Niels Jorgensen USA Time of tour: 9:00 a.m., Sunday January 1, 2026
Maria was excellent! Very knowledgeable and helpful. We enjoyed learning all the extensive restoration processes. Phenomenal...
Eden our tour guide was fantastic! Very personable, knowledgeable and great energy. The tour was great and highly recommend.
My Wife and I flew into Paris for a 3 day weekend. We booked the walking tour and Met Maria S. We were the only two people registered so Maria gave us a fantastic tour of the city island and the interior of Notre Dame as well as other stops. Maria was knowledgeable and personable. We had discussions and took pictures and she offered to take us for a coffee and use a rest room if we needed I would highly recommend Maria for any tours
