Purchased these 48 hour tickets thinking we could hop on and hop off anywhere that wasn’t the case each bus runs through the red tour once than stops. Doesn’t let anyone on the bus. So you have to get on at the first stop to enjoy the whole tour. No one tells you that. Also bus stops at 7 pm another surprise when I purchased 2 48 hour passes that we had to get off of at 7 pm instead of the 10pm time they advertised on their big bus page. They want you to than purchase a night time ticket that is good from the 7 pm - 10 pm time frame. Doesn’t surprise me they just want more of your money. We will not be using them again. Metro is a lot easier and cheaper!

It is absolute value for money - and the best way to experience and see Paris if you have little time for sightseeing
My experience started out great. Traveling with two handicapped people having the hop on hop off experience I thought would have been great. How ever, it was far from great, it was horrendous! We got on at the Eiffel Tower, we were truly enjoying our experience. Except for the fact that the narration was a recording and changed when you got to a spot, it seemed to run behind and when you left the spot it changed to something else. It made not hard to match up what you were looking at, but I was ok with that. We go off at the Louvre and was never able to get on a bus after!! We waited over an hour for a bus to return to the louvre so we could continue our tour. A fellow passenger was keeping the crowed updated on the closings and changes, but there only appeared to be one, and it did not affect the stop we were at! People came and people left the stop. When the bus FINALLY came over an hour later, there were passengers on it, so we knew seats were at a premium. The bus stopped several yards from the stop and people began running to get on the bus. These were people who were just walking up and getting on, not those of us that had been waiting over an hour. We got on the bus and there were no seats on the bottom level. I am unsure about the top because I didn’t go up there, but considering there were people sitting and standing on the steps, it was full. Myself and my two handicapped companions had to stand. Several times, they, myself and others almost fell…. A totally dangerous situation!! The driver was on the phone talking loudly to someone (I’m assuming because of the crowded situation, she was arguing with headquarters). She goes around the corner on the bridge, pulls over, opens the door and says this is the stop for Notre Dame. The stop was extremely far from the cathedral and a long walk for people with mobility issues. We finally get to Notre Dame and back to where the lady driver dropped us off at, only to find it wasn’t a real stop!!! There were no sign and we waited another 30 minutes. I asked the bike cab that was near and he said they don’t stop on the bridge. We finally called an uber to take us to the cruise we paid for. We get to the Eiffel Tower spot and no representatives were there. There was no number to call so I had to do a chat and was given a different address to meet the boat. We had waited and walked around all afternoon for the services this company promised, only to not received what was promised. The company kept blaming traffic as the issue and that may be true, but their competitor (Tootbus) had no problem with getting through the traffic because I saw them running many times while I was walking or waiting on Big bus. I almost got on Tootbus, but ended up choosing big bus, toot would have been better! I requested a refund and they offered another tour anywhere in the world with no expiration date. I said no because after this experience which left us lost (we kept having to ask how to get places), exhausted and extremely disappointed, I don’t trust them enough to take another tour either them. I just want a refund and to forget the whole experience!!
Not a fan of these companies and especially Grey Line. They are horrific scammers. But if you are ok with just staying on the bus and not getting off it’s fine
The bus spent more time parked up, it only does a loop of the main sights, which to be honest would have been quicker to walk. The trip doesn’t take you to many parts, so you literally just see the main attractions which was a shame. Ok, if you’ve never been ~ but you do miss so much.
Great experience! Very convenient for sightseeing. The only inconvenience was that not all the buses have A/C. The drivers they speak more than one language, therefore easy communication.
Good overview of Paris in a day plus a river Seine cruise. Well worth the effort. 2 hour bus time allowed easy access to various places
The bus was not easy to find and stopped and sat without even saying why or if they were leaving again. The River cruise wasnt bad but so many people were put on one boat and they all wanted on the top with no one saying there were to many up there so we were packed like sardines and sometimes it was very hard to see anything because of the people standing up in front of everyone because there wasnt enough seating. It was super uncomfortable
We had a wonderful experience with the Big Bus Tour in Paris! Everything was well organized, and the route was a great way to see the city’s most famous landmarks. A special thank you to our driver sohaila, who made the experience even better. She was incredibly kind, friendly, and always smiling. She welcomed everyone warmly as they got on the bus, creating such a positive and inviting atmosphere from the very beginning. Her cheerful attitude and professionalism really stood out and made our tour even more enjoyable.
The bus and cruise together give you a great overview of Paris. Once both of those are complete, you can then determine the landmarks or arrondissements to which you wish to spend more time. I highly recommend this combo tour. The info on the bus is everything you need!
At the harbour we could not find the cruise ship 😪
Hop on Hop off bus was a great experience and nice way to see the sites. Know that there are only 10 stops and it only goes near and around the city center so unless your stay is close, you may have to travel to actually get to it.
We got to see the major sights, our bus driver kindly waited for us to reach the bus stop and also arranged for our tickets to be printed and delivered in board. The views from the bus took in the sights from a great advantage point. A wonderful way to view a beautiful city
During high traffic times, it takes a very long time to get to the stops. They say the loop takes 2 hours, but this is not true during peak times.
The tour was excellent, we saw everything you’d want to see in Paris and more. The audio guide was interesting and gave helpful information and stories about each visit. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone new to Paris, or even someone who has been before. It was first class seats to all the best attractions and monuments.
Bus were out of air conditioning in Paris at 12:00, bus were full with no air conditioning and wait too long for s bus, when bus arrieved, it was full and has to wait 12 min
Exellent! It was a super experience both day and night bus ride! We loved it!
It was very easy to access and lots of fun to ride! I can’t believe we got so much for such a little cost.
This is a great way to get around and get your bearing. Our driver was very helpful. Highly recommend!!
Better go when there's good weather. We went when it was raining outside and it really made the trip a downer. Also, the route that is advertised isn't necessarily the one that the bus follows. I've been on a lot of Hop On Hop Off buses and I'm sorry to say, this was the worst experience I've had on one.
Very easy and convenient to book with. No issues at all. Questions answered. Always available via phone or email.
Try frustrating there is more than 1 hopin hop off company Very confusing! Calledand got help now got on at wrong stop ! Please alert
The quality of the recordings was excellent. The bus was comfortable with 2/3 of the top floor open to enjoy the fresh air with unobstructed views. The front covered part partial shields the breeze and you could use it for shelter in case it rains. The first floor is completely enclosed. The buses run frequently. Make sure you download the app to see where the stops are located. You can help yourself to a map and head phones on the bus. I wish the stops had signs on the streets to make it easier to find where to get on. After your first trip around it’s pretty easy.
Other than signage for the bus stops, this is the best way to experience some of the greatest sites and areas of Paris. Disappointed that we couldn’t do the river cruise as driver did not give us tickets and “Manage my Booking” feature did not work
Best way to see Paris. Helps you with the city sites. Stopped near our hotel. Very convenient & informative. Their app was convenient as well.
This is a must tour in Paris when you plan to visit several places via one mode of transport. It takes around 2.5 hrs for complete ride and you can get on or off the bus at any stop. Also you can also buy Seine’s river cruise ticket in this ride as well. We had great time on this tour. Make sure to carry a cap if you are going to seat on the deck.
Please avoid for several reasons: - not enough coverage (only basics) - extraordinary boring audio. Mostly music and not enough interesting information. - extremely misleading bus stops locations. No exact map positions, even the app didn’t help. - just one route! in Vienna you have four, in Singapour as well four, but Paris only one… - drivers are not indicating the bus stop numbers. - it is more like a taxi rather than excursion bus Please consider if you have entire day to do nothing, then do the round trip without going out from the bus (could be a torture due to the traffic and almost zero facts on the audio), but nice overview of the city.
Had a great experience with Big Bus Tours in Paris earlier this week. There were 15 of us in our group, ranging from 4 to 73 years old so it was great to have a helping hand getting around the city without everyone getting too tired. Even though we were only in the city for a day we ticked off all the landmarks we wanted to see. The staff were friendly and helpful and the buses were frequent and clean. Would use again and would recommend to others.
The tour busses are worn and some of the equipment does not work. This is frustrating when you paid for a tour you cannot hear because the equipment is not working. After for a seat where the audio worked you had to move the headphones around to get a bit of sound. It’s like using an old school antenna on a basic television. To boot the bus tour ends at 7 pm but continue to run until 9 pm. What they fair to tell you is that after 7 pm they will only drop you off at one station so if you hopped ok mid way and need to be left where you started they leave you stranded. For the premium price they charge I expect better quality tour, buss accommodations, equipment and not to be left stranded. I do NOT recommend this company.
The idea of this sounded great but the reality was we would have been quicker walking on occasions! Paris is so congested with traffic that we sat, not moving sometimes for 15 minutes. Also be aware that the service doesn't start until 9.45 and stops running at 5.30pm. You DO get to see "the main attractions" but it can take an awfully long time getting to them. The boat trip was great. We were on the first trip of the day and the commentary was very good. If I came again I wouldn't bother with the big bus but would definitely go on the boat trip.
Recommend very organized people very friendly I was very happy and enjoyed the view and each stop bus
Was traveling with my mum, who is slightly less mobile these days. It's a really easy way to see a lot of the city, hop on and off, or stay on for a bit longer to rest. The audio tour is a bit overly touristy, but I suppose that's to be expected. We took the additional boat trip, which was the best bit of the day, and definitely worth it.
The river cruise was pretty worthless. You download the app for little blurbs on each location. That’s fine, but the guide very rarely (maybe three times) called attention to the buildings. We’d be floating past some big old building that was clearly important but we didn’t know what it was. Because of this, we couldn’t use the audio to hear information about the different sites. Extremely disappointing, as our boat tour on the Thames in London two days before was absolutely stellar. Terrible waste of money. The bus was fine. Not much guidance from the drivers on which stops were which. We didn’t utilize the service nearly as much as we could have.
Goes to essential places. Cruise is really nice as it is a full circuit. Wish the bus had a larger route or options like in London.
We enjoyed the bus ride and the information was good. The boat cruise we really liked. We were able to take pictures from a different perspective
Amazing pity we were not able to do this on the first day. Well worth it. Sein cruise was part of ticket personally found it to be a bit disappointing after seeing everything on the HOHO. I would rather suggest an evening river cruise that incl dinner etc
The issue here was the buses started late, finished early, and I stood around watching the competitor have many more buses running more frequently, so I’m not sure this one is good value.
This was pretty much your basic hop-on-hop-off tour. Nothing out of the ordinary - not exceptional, but not bad either. It’s a good way to see the highlights of the city and then go back to visit some of them in depth if you want. Audio was available in multiple languages.
So much to see and not enough time, do the shop on hop off. It’s the best thing ever. I have done these buses all over the world and it’s amazing.
We had a lovely bus tour around Paris , day one and night one . With the Christmas decorations at the night, Paris looks ever so beautiful. Highly recommended
True most memorable experience was seeing the arc de triomphe up close. I took beautiful photos of it
Do not purchase, Tour guy/driver was on his cell phone the whole time. Also did not let us know that there were headphone on the tour bus the whole time
I tried contacting someone about my tour. After getting out of the airport, we had some delays in figuring things out and at 15:00pm we tried finding a bus and found out that they had stopped picking up at 15:30pm. I sent a message asking if it could be arranged for a different day and didn’t hear anything back.
This is my favorite way to see new places. I have done this tour in Paris multiple times and in other cities as well. It makes it easy to see the big spots and to learn about the city
We both enjoyed the hop on/off bus which was exciting to see all the main landmarks around the city. It was a beautiful day with no hick ups at all. We made the best of the upstairs outside vibe on the top of the bus.
Not the same as the London Big Bus tour. They didn't call out stops and went a different route. The app was not working to reflect closed stops for the olympics. They filled the time with a loop of french music over and over instead of telling us about the city. The river cruise was really worth the extra money it was great!
Worst hop on hop off bus experience ever!! Yes there were road closures due to Olympic preparation and US President Biden visiting but that doesn't exlplain why the bus randomly stopped at places (not hop on/off nor regular bus stops) for up to 20 mins at a time then move 700 metres and stop again. then get to a stop part way around the circuit and say we all need to get off!! The non English speaking driver was no help, only telling us it was the end and to get off. We thought the bus was broken but we were passed by at least 4 other of their buses, none who stopped to see why we were stopped on the side of the road. After numerous unexplained stops, the driver stopped the bus and told everyone to get off. When we were made get off we had no map and no idea where we were. It turned out we were about an hours walk from our hotel and had to ask directions from nearby Guardia and hope for the best. We tried this bus again hoping it was just that driver/day but no it was just as bad with us being told to get off and walk because the street was closed ahead of us. The bus detoured but we couldn't stay on it while it took the detour! Both days the commentary was about the Olympics and various sports and what the narrator would do if they played sport. We learnt nothing about Paris, the buildings and the places we passed. We paid to include a river cruise then found it left from a place we needed to get their bus to, not the poplar place all the others left from so we paid again and did a river cruise with another company. We were concerned about the unreliability of the company and didn't want to be kicked off somewhere random again. We have used hop on/off buses in a lot of other cities and this was by far our worst experience. I will never use nor recommend this company again.
This was a great way to explore Paris. There are many busses so you never wait long at a stop. The river cruise was the highlight!
Too hot! The high in Paris was only 81 degrees Fahrenheit and the bus was unbearable!!!! I can’t imagine what it’s like during July & August without air conditioning. It was terrible!!!!
Was nervous about the experience since I had read some bad reviews but over all it was a good experience. There was some stops they didn't make or had to take alternative routes because of the Olympics construction. If a bus was full there was usually one right afterwards. I enjoyed having the earbuds that they give you so you can listen and hear more information on the site we were passing by. Saw parts of Paris I wouldn't have otherwise seen if I had taken the metro to.
