My daughter and I were the only attendees in the class so we enjoyed a private experience. We met in a working boulangerie and learned how to make macarons in their pastry kitchen. This made the experience even better! Jess is very knowledgable, friendly and answered all of our questions. We got to take home the macarons we made! Parfait!

Lots of fun for me and my family! Macarons came out amazing!
It was a very fun and informative class. jess did a great job explaining and demonstrating. And we Took home yummy macarons! IT was great!
Patient teacher and fun for the family!
We paid over $600 for our family of 5 (2 adults, 3 teens) to make macarons. When we arrived, our instructor was very nice and did a great job explaining the process, but only 2 work stations were set up for our group despite the experience description saying we had to sign up (and pay) per person, parents could not just come and watch. I asked about this but was told we were going to be working as teams. This meant 5 of us took turns stirring 2 bowls, piping etc, which was not what we were expecting for that price tag- we were all looking forward to making our own batch. We are not a big chocolate family and were a bit bummed to find out chocolate was the only ‘filling’ available. This was nowhere in the description- we would have booked elsewhere if it did. Our instructor explained that this was because of prep time, but we took another macaron class years ago (where everyone had their own individual) workstation and we were able to choose from a variety of fruit flavors in addition to the chocolate option, without the class being much longer. The ‘base of the filling’ was also prepped by the instructor, similar to here, except we finished it up ourselves instead of the instructor just handing us a bowl. I emailed the instructor afterwards to share our thoughts before posting the review, but did not hear back. All in all we enjoyed the experience as a family, but for the amount we paid you should have a workstation set up for each individual, especially since you insist on each individual paying over $120.
We had a wonderful experience. The class was fun and light. We loved the macarons and will look forward to enjoying them tonight.
My husband and I were looking for an experience different than the usual tourist attractions. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable, patient, and explained each step of the process clearly. There was no doubt we would be successful making macarons for the first time with her support.
We booked this class for our travel group with ages 15-94. Jess was amazingly patient and skilled at keeping us on task to make delicious macaroons. It’s a small group and we got to meet other travelers that were in our group. We got to make three colors or macaroons and three different fillings. Book this activity and enjoy your macroons !!!
Excellent way to discover macaroons! Jess was full of info and just amazing
Jesita was amazing. She was very patient and informative. Me and my sister had an amazing time making macaroons from scratch😁😌
Jess was a wonderful pastry/macaron teacher! She is so friendly, informative, and fun! Highly recommend!
Great experience. Lots of fun and very well organized.
This was an enjoyable two hours where we got to prep and then make the macarons. You end up cooking a batch of about 30. If I have one complaint it would be that as a couple you “share” the practice of making the macarons, whereas if you’re a solo participant you just make your own. I’m fine for it to be a shared activity, just the price is per person. Basically, I just wanted to walk away with more macarons!
This is the perfect class for learning the technicalities of making macaroni. The environment is fun and really instills confidence in the craft. Highly highly highly recommend!!
We had a GREAT time doing this activity. Paulette was awesome- she had a fun sense of humor and made us feel right at home. My husband and I really don’t do much cooking/baking, so this was way out of our comfort zone… she made it so much fun! We actually left with too many macarons to eat. It was also very cool to go “behind the scenes” of a real, working bakery. Loved it!
Wonderful class with clear instructions from a delightful and personable teacher! We really enjoyed it, and the macarons were the best we’ve ever had.
Absolutely unbelievably impressive! Held in a Paris bakery, with a trained French Pastry chef. Not only did we enjoy the process of making macarons, our guide shared the history of the macaron. A beautiful experience for my small group. Lots of smiles and fun pictures.
Excellent class. It was great to learn how to bake macarons with great instruction. Definitely recommend.
Paulette was amazing. Our macaroon class with pastry star Paulette was the highlight of our trip! She was patient, kind and funny!
Great opportunity to learn how to make macarons while in Paris. Were met with a voice of beverage and a couple of macarons. Mixed, baked and assembled the macarons and took home our treats. Instructor was very friendly and explained everything very well.
We enjoyed our experience. The materials were well prepared. We do wish they would provide a recipe at the end of the experience, but overall it was really great!
Aditya was great! We left with 50 macarons!
We were excited to take a macaron class as a family, as we’ve enjoyed many cooking classes in different cities over the years. Unfortunately, this experience didn’t meet our expectations. We had hoped to leave with a clearer understanding of how to make macarons, but we felt that the class was more demonstration-based than hands-on. Our instructor, Paulette, completed many of the steps herself and emphasized that certain techniques needed to be done in a very specific way. While we understood the importance of precision, we would have appreciated more opportunities to try those techniques ourselves and learn by doing. Additionally, we were expecting to receive a recipe or step-by-step instructions to take home. Instead, we were invited to take photos of an ingredient list on the wall, which made it difficult to fully recreate the process afterward. Overall, while we appreciated the chance to observe the process, we were hoping for a more interactive and instructional experience.
This class was a highlight of our trip to Paris! The class is very hands on, fun for all ages, and we made plenty of delicious macarons to take home.
The class was fun and educational. Our instructor was great! Funny and engaging. She was great with the kids. I highly recommend this experience. Plus the cookies were great.
We had an incredible macaron-making class with Paulette. She was incredibly patient and engaging, especially with my two boys, who were completely involved and attentive the entire time — no small feat after a long day of travel from Amsterdam! Her pacing, attention to detail, and teaching style made the experience both fun and educational. The macarons turned out great, and the entire class was worth every moment and every penny. I highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Paris — Paulette truly made it unforgettable.
My daughter (15 yrs.) & I booked this class during a spring break trip to Paris. She is an aspiring baker & LOVED it! Paulette was a pro and shared all of her tips & tricks with us. We enjoyed the class and learned a lot!
Paulette was a fabulous host! Our family of four had the best time with this class! One of our Paris highlights!
A highlight of our trip absolutely loved making macaron with a real chef felt special and not like a normal tour Plus we got to eat them warm! so goood
We had a wonderful time at the Paris Behind the Scenes Macaron Baking Class. Jessica was warm, patient, and made the entire experience a lot of fun. My daughter and I had a great time whipping up the ingredients and we've been enjoying the macarons ever since.
We had a wonderful experience as a family of 4 (sons are 13 and 12) with Paulette teaching us the techniques for making macarons. The session was fun, with a bit of competition (that the boys loved), Paulette was incredibly knowledgeable and made things fun. It was the perfect activity to do in the morning before we travelled home. And the best thing was the massive amount of macarons we brought home. It was great to have the session in a real bakery which added to the charm and the experience. My only feedback to the booking agents would be to ensure they are contactable on WhatsApp. We were running late and I couldn’t get hold of anyone to advise them. I didn’t get a reply via the Tripadvisor messenger an hour after I’d sent my first message, however, it would have taken the stress out of running late if I’d been able to send a WhatsApp message.
Jess did a wonderful job welcoming us and walking us through the steps of making our own macarons. She answered all our questions about the baking process and made it easy to follow along. Our only drawback was that we couldn’t pick flavors for the macarons (I.e, the ganache was only white chocolate or milk chocolate). Definitely kid friendly!
A really fantastic Parisian experience which my 13yo daughter and I will be talking about for many years to come. Paulette was a wonderful teacher, happy to answer all our questions whether they were about macarons, food or about living in Paris. The class was relaxed but productive and we came away with many macarons and the knowledge to confidently make them ourselves at home. We worked as a pair, with Paulette working with anything hot, but we still mixed, piped and joined our macarons together and Paulette explained all the steps as we progressed. Bring along a a pen and paper to take notes about methodology and any other tips that are shared. The biggest decision you will need to make is what colour your macarons will be!
Really fun class! It was a small gathering, and a great way to spend time with our family during our stay in Paris. The instructor was fantastic, too!
What a wonderful hands on experience. Our entire family enjoyed learning about the history of the classic macaron as well as getting a tried and true recipe with a wealth of tips and tricks for success in our own attempts once we return home.
Great class. Family friendly. My 9 yr old was engaged all 2 hrs. Jess was a great instructor. We left with a ton of macrons.
Jess was amazing! We have four children and arrived late (due to our inexperience traveling in France). Jess was kind, accommodating and wonderful with the kids. Everyone had a great time. The class was the highlight of our trip to Paris. My eleven year old daughter said, “Jess was fun and gave us a whole lot of tips.” We loved it!
It was great fun, took home lots of Macarons! I was surprised to find we were working in pairs, maybe I hadn't read all the info clearly. Excellent teacher, thank you.
Be aware they cancelled the class and I was not informed till I arrived . They said that they were not doing that class that day, but I felt since I was the only person there for it, they felt they didn't have to do it. I waited for a good 10 minutes or more before they informed me their decision. My question is why did they accept the booking if they were not doing the class that day. I could have rebooked something else for my last day in Paris. Very disappointed.
Jess was a fabulous instructor! The macaroons were delicious! This is the class you want to pick. Great for couples and family.
It was so fun and the instructor Jess was fantastic. It was a great experience and I learned so much. I can't wait to make macaroons at home.
The macaron class was perfect! Jess was an amazing teacher, was helpful, friendly and fun! We highly recommend this class. Fun for all ages.
We had fun making macrons. Ours didn’t turn out so well but we’re beginners. They’re not an easy thing to make. But there were tasty! Laura, the pastry chef was sweet and knowledgeable. I’d have given this a 5 out of 5 except we had a visit from a rodent scurry across the kitchen as we waited for the shells to bake which brought it to a 1. I averaged the rating.
This was an amazing experience. My whole family got to enjoy! Jess was amazing and very patient with all of us including my 9 year old. Totally recommend.
Jess was super friendly and engaging! She was a great teacher and very patient with our limited baking abilities. Did the class with 3 teenagers and everyone had fun!
Great time learning how to make macaroons. Even learned a few new tips and tricks! Jess was a great teacher and really patient with all the questions we threw at her!
My granddaughter lives this class. It was very informative and an interacting experience. Jess did a nice job keeping the class moving, despite the 1000 questions from my granddaughter
We did a making Macarons course at Chez Manon and we absolutely lucked out with having Jessita as our guide. She was a wonderful teacher with myself, my father and my two children. My daughter who is usually quite reserved and shy came out of her shell with Jessita’s encouragement creating the best tasting macarons we have had in or out of Paris.
This was a great experience for my family! My kids loved making the macarons, and we all learned so much! Jess was a great teacher, and we went home with lots to eat!
Fantastic experience, we learned so much and left with so many macarons! Excellent instructor who made our family feel so welcome.
