Notre Dame Area Guided Tour With Experienced Guide

Our guide was late and , they did send our tickets for us to enter the Cathedral but never did meet the guide

An excellent experience with our guide, Carmelle Very knowledgeable and courteous.

It was an absolute beautiful tour and we could have never gotten to see it without City Wonders Tours and our host Carmen , They/she really went out of the way for us and we would highly recommend their tours

The guided portion is about 40 minutes. Once you are in Notre Dame your guide will leave you to explore at your own pace. Our guide Carmel had a very thorough knowledge of the history and was interesting to listen to.

Guide was excellent but unfortunately the crowds were too much. People bumping into each other and cathedral was very warm.

Know that the guide will be late. Probably a good idea not to book lunch reservation too close to the end of your tour to avoid rushing to lunch as we had to do. Also, please be advised that you may be abandoned just as soon as you get inside. At that point you are on your own inspite of paying for a “guided” tour. Our guide explained that she could not go any further once inside because the church would not allow her to guide us even though our group was only 4 in size and we saw numerous guides talking to their group. Hmmm. Take your device and download an AI generated tour. It worked nicely for me.

On the hottest ever in Paris Naomi took us to Notre Dame, inside and outside tour. The cathedral is stunning. It looks like it was built very recently. All the windows are bright stainedglass the structure of the church beams like lights as all the soot and dust from 800 years were cleaned. It sparkles.Naomi was our guise.She was spectacular She knows this place and shares it in a passionat manner.I would book her in a heartbeat, Very pleased with her knowledge and how she shared her stories was outstanding. We were looking forward to learning more about Notre Dame, especially now that it has reopened following the fire. We met our guide, Carnelle, but unfortunately had to leave the tour when we realized we had left our small backpack in our Uber. You were incredibly kind and understanding during a very stressful moment, even trying to help us by making calls in French. At the time, we simply couldn’t focus on the tour while trying to locate our bag. Thankfully, it now appears that the backpack will be returned to us tomorrow morning after Uber Support was able to reach the driver. Thank you again for your kindness, patience, and willingness to help. We truly appreciate it and hope to return another time to learn more about this remarkable place.

The tour guide from Good Experience did not show up! The tour was confirmed by email and a link on my phone for May 9, 2026 at 12:30pm. That morning i received a text that the time was changed to 1:30pm which i said OK to. Then around 1:20 I got a text that they were on their way and would be there at 1:35. No show still at 2:05PM. We were on an excursion from our cruise ship and had to leave by 2:15 to make the bus back. I want a refund of the $173.67! The toutr guide did not come by then!!!

Awesome! Our guide was informative and entertaining. She was well versed on all things related toNorte Dame. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

I booked my ticket and paid for it but when it came time to meet, I couldn’t find anybody where they said to meet and when I chatted with them, they said they never got my reservation after I got a confirmation from them with my booking number and after they took my money. Very disappointed in the way they handled this. I am still waiting for my refund.

We were lucky to have a private tour with two lovely guides. They were very good at giving us all the interesting details and stories and keeping us and our two teenage kids engaged.

The guide not turn up at all. We arrived at the location meeting point 15min early and waited 30min after the meeting time. There was no guide. We tried to call the number emailed to us but there was no answer. Also we can’t contact Viator to make a complaint or get a refund. Kevin Barry Do not trust these people.

We loved it , it was great the weather was funy but she Carmelo handled everything . She gave us tips we loved it. A lot of informations and fun stories

We waited in the rain for a guide, 20 minutes and after calling to ask the operator had to call me back while she tried to find the guide. Ten more minutes in the rain and there was no guide… she cancelled and said she would refund. No refund as yet.

Unfortunately, when we showed up the tour guide never showed (2pm) and we waited at the Charlemagne in front of the cathedral. I was hoping to experience the guided tour but we will need to reschedule.

Beatrice was a wonderful guide. Gave us just the right amount of information. She contacted us ahead of time & gave us a good tip to find her in a busy area. There's so much to see & felt that she covered some really interesting areas of the Louvre, esp about what was uncovered in the lower levels. Great pace & really knew her information. Also challenged us to see things from other sides of the sculptures, paintings etc. Been on a lot of tours & would recommend Beatrice as a guide.

Our guide was great. Very informative and knew her stuff about Notre Dame. Tour was for about 45 mins. She left us in the church to investigate the church in our own time.

Unfortunately it was a terrible experience. Our guide told us we were her first tour ever and she had zero knowledge about notre dame. When we asked questions she couldn’t answer with any information and often times gave us incorrect information like telling us women can become cardinals and bishops, which is not true in the Catholic Church. We were told we’d have an experienced guide and we did not get that. We are requesting a full refund. We paid $232 for nothing but walk through the church. We could have done that in our own for free!

Our tour guide never showed up. We tried to get a refund and no one will answer. We were in Paris and never got to see Notre Dame. Once your tour is over, no one will contact you.

Did not go! One day before, Tour called & changed time by 2 hours which did not fit with our schedule. Beware…..Non refundable so we lost our money!

This was a small group tour not private. The company called the day prior to the tour and changed the time up. Changes needed to be made in our travel plans. The tour was held in the line to enter the cathedral. The guide was pleasant although difficult to hear at times due to the crowds and size of the tour.

Although the entrance was free for everyone, we paid 90 pounds for Viator because it said it would eliminate the queue, you wouldn't have to queue at all and you have a guide, which we had to wait for the guide for more than a quarter of an hour in this rain, if we had waited another quarter of an hour, we would have been in the queue head to head and it would still have been better, and we didn't even see the tower because we had to make a reservation in advance and I didn't know, thinking that with this money I would enter and visit the whole cathedral, but it wasn't like that, I only visited what was free for everyone. I would have liked it if you had made the reservation for the tower for us because it was free anyway and we were happy too. In that case, or at least leave a notice somewhere so we know that reservations must be made in advance.

Our guide Carmella was darling and informative but unable to do any part of the tour inside. We got info outside for about 40 minutes and then you are on your own. Just seemed like a lot of money for half a tour!

Can't find the person who's in charge because they were not easily identifiable It's labeled skip the line but that wasn't the case. All she did was but in and had finished the line with everybody else who was waiting

A disappointment. Virtually no discussion of the architecture or insides of Notre Dame. Guide was NOT experienced. We did not get inside any faster than the non-paying crowd. Not worth the considerable fee we paid.

Tour guide did not display a flag at the designated meeting place. We nervously looked for her for 15 minutes until she called us. Of course, we could not call her. The tour itself was adequate. She was pleasant and knowledgeable.

Meh. More expensive than other tours, “experienced guide” missed the mark. Basically just standing outside Notre Dame with random people wandering past, babies crying, etc. No real advantage over a podcast.

Carmelle is so knowledgeable about the history of Notre Dame Cathedral you come away with a new appreciation for it.
