Excellent trip, drive there and back wasn't too bad. Loved the small group, worth the extra cost. Right amount of time at the sites, did not feel rushed at all.

Itinerary
Omaha Beach was known to be the most difficult military objective when the invasion of Normandy was being planned. In order to be sure that the Allied forces took it the youngest and most foolhardy soldiers were assigned to it, most of them were American. You'll walk on the same sands as them and learn about their acts of heroism and sacrifice.
Operation Overlord was the code name given to the Allied Invasion of northwest Europe. This museum has an unequaled collection of military equipment that was used to either defend or attack the coast of Normandy. Such as a full-sized authentic Higgins boat, with its front flap down, and impressive Sherman and Panzer tanks.
This German Battery has a fully intact Command Bunker and 3 other bunkers that are still armed today. You'll climb inside the bunkers with your guide and find out what happened on the morning of D-day from the Axis perspective. Learning about Rommel's defenses known as the "Atlantic Wall".
For lunch, you will stop at a mom-and-pop style restaurant such as the l'Hostéière. On the coast, there are no fancy restaurants. There are only little places with fresh local foods such as salads, omelets, barbecued meats, and crepes. We do not include your lunch in our tour price. You can pick whatever you want from the menu. Plan on spending 10-20€.
Pointe-du-Hoc was a strategic German defensive point and on D-day, it was a top priority to capture. Here you will walk around huge bomb craters to the edge of a 110ft tall, seaside cliff. Learn how Rudders Rangers climbed it with rocket-powered grappling hooks and their bayonets.
Here 9,388 white marble tombs stand in perfectly straight lines. You'll walk among the Crosses and Stars of David with your guide and pay your respects to those who sacrificed everything. You'll visit Medal of Honor winners and also the Niland brothers whose real-life story inspired the movie "Saving Private Ryan".
Before there was a war there were apple trees to tend in Normandy. The apple orchards in Normandy grow dozens of different varieties of apples and turn them into amazing apple juices, hard ciders, and strong liquor called Calvados. We'll stop at one of the local orchards and you'll get to taste some of Normandy’s famous Cider. We’ll pay for your tasting.

Bucket list item fulfilled. Augustin was an excellent guide. He made the D-Day landings come to life. I highly recommend this tour.
Nickola was a great guide. Very knowledgeable. He allowed free time at each stop for us to roam and reflect. We also appreciated his sensitivity - - he chose to have our talk about the cemetery off to the side to respect the holiness of the site. He also added an extra stop to see a bunker with a canyon.
Excellent trip with Marius. Although he was a younger guide-his wealth of knowledge and dedication to his craft was amazing. My husband and I have visited beaches of Normandy on 2 previous trips with different companies prior to this trip. They did not compare to Marius and his knowledge. He made the trip for us. We had a party of 4 in the small group of 8. The mini van was very comfortable.
Nicholas is the best! He juggled our itinerary to beat the cold, windy, rainy weather making sure we had the best possible experiences at Pointe du Hoc, The American Cemetery and Omaha Beach. He really knows his stuff!
Admittedly a very long day but worth the early start! Fabulous guide Victor was a knowledgeable delight who was information heavy in an easy to absorb manner. History up close.
Mathieu was so knowledgeable and so much fun! This trip was very poignant and enlightening. I hope to come back with my family and will book a tour again with Mathieu
This was an overwhelming day due to the emotion of visiting such a historically tragic site but our guide Enzo was wonderful, explaining the history and allowing us to experience Omaha beach the way we needed to. Highly recommend this tour and our guide Enzo! Thank you
Julián, our tour guide, was fabulous! He was very informative and enthusiastic, making the experience so informative. The small group was the perfect size. We got to know each other during the trip.
This a very long day - 12 hrs- but worth it. The trip out was fast at 7 am in the rain. There are many stops and the terrain can be a bit rough so if you have any mobility issues take note of that. Omaha Beach is breathtaking and the US memorial cemetery is sobering to say the least. We leaned a lot and the corresponding pictures really helped bring context to it all. This is a don’t miss.
Michele was our guide and we couldn't had a better one. Was knowledgeable and very informative. Great personality to go along with knowledge of D Day. Thanks to Michele and Viator.
Our guide, Julian, was amazing! He was very passionate about the history and did a great job sharing his knowledge. I do want to note that there is quite a bit of walking over uneven ground so be prepared for that with the proper shoes. It was also very windy when we went and we had several pop up rain showers so wear a rain jacket with a hood!
When I chose Paris as our next travel destination, my husband had one request: to visit Normandy. Booking the small group tour was absolutely worth it. Our guide Cesar tailored the tour to both group interest and the weather, taking us to both popular spots and a few off the beaten track, which we had all to ourselves. He was very informative, with visuals to help us imagine the historical events that took place right where we stood. We visited a couple spots on Omaha Beach, the American Cemetery (which has a great museum,) a German cemetery, a museum, two churches, and bunkers still surrounded by different sized craters. On a lighter note, we also had a nice lunch and cider tasting, where two friendly dogs allowed us to cuddle with them.
Our expert guide made this one of the most memorable experiences of our trip. Being a small group (7 of us) was great too. Highly recommend this tour.
Knowledgeable and knew the history, but at times seemed disinterested, as if just trying to get through the day.
This is an excellent tour! The pickup and drop off points are very convenient near the Arc de Triomphe You will get to complete the circle in the tour van! My driver and guide was Cesar. The small group size made for a friendly tour group! Cesar is vey polite and a safe driver. The highlight for me was the first stop looking down over Omaha Beach. There. Is still old German lookouts and fortifications at this point. I’m fairly certain this famous spot was where brave American soldiers were able to get around the Germans first at Omaha. The cemetery is well organized and respected! You will like this small group tour - The lunch with Cesar and the tour group was nice. Have fun . . .
This was on my bucketlist. And it was outstanding in every way. The emotion, the scope of the mission the sacrifice of our troops. I could go on and on. Guide Frankie was outstanding.
Excellent tour! We were on a small group tour and our Driver/tour guide Julian was the best! Julian explained everything in great detail! Can’t recommend this tour enough.
It is a full day. bring appropriate clothing for any weather changes. You have a private van so you can bring a backpack with necessary items that can stay securely in the van so you don't have to carry them around all of the time. There is a gas station bathroom break half way up and back. You can get a light breakfast and coffee there so don't feel like you need to eat breakfast before you depart for Normandy.
The trip to Normandy was very informative, putting in context what you learned from books to actually standing on the Omaha Beach. The museum was fascinating and had an amazing collection of items collected to give you an actual idea of what it was like for the soldier. Our guide Nicola was very knowledgeable and answered any questions you had. I would highly recommend this tour!
Very educational tour. Marius was knowledgeable and very pleasant. One of the best guides we have ever had. Give him a raise.
Great day out and Matthew was brilliant! We highly recommend the tour! The day ran smoothly and it was well organised.
We had a fantastic tour guide and driver! I think that his name was Matt. It is 10 months later and I just saw this request for a review now. Matt was from the Brittany section of France. He spoke impeccable English, was extremely knowledgeable, polite, a great driver and we had a fabulous day. Thank you Matt and Blue Fox Tours!
My husband and I traveled with our guide, Bruno, to explore Normandy. It was a long day but well worth it. Bruno was an excellent guide and easily answered all of our questions. He was kind and helpful, I am an ADA person with trouble walking and he was very understanding. The experiences he provided were incredible and we were truly able to appreciate what we saw at each of the stops. All in all, it was an excellent tour and we were so glad to have Bruno as our guide.
Very comprehensive look at what happened on D-Day. The up close views of German bunkers, American Cemetery, and tanks and weapons of war was phenomenal!!!
Caesar was a superb guide. It was a very interesting tour but it was a very long day. To stand on those beaches was extremely humbling. Highly recommend.
This trip was amazing. We booked on the recommendation of a friend and would ABSOLUTELY spend the money to do it again. Traveling with teens, I opted to book a hotel close to the meeting point, knowing the early pickup time might be tough - that was the best decision. Just a short walk to meet our driver, who was AMAZING. So personable and engaging and really made the entire trip worthwhile. We were grouped with another American family with children the exact same age - I don't know if that was by design, but if it was, WELL DONE. There were so many stops on this trip that I did not anticipate, and the cool temps were a welcome change from the Summer '26 heatwave. Everything about this day was FANTASTIC. Highly recommend it. Well worth the cost.
Awesome long day. Frequent enough stops, great lunch venue, and a real thorough look at what happened on D-Day. A story of patriotism, but with deep loss and sadness.
Very interesting tour. Learned lots of new info. Nicolas was very knowledgeable and pleasant
Exceptional experience. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable of the circumstances that led up to the invasion of Normandie, the preparation, timeline and outcome thereafter. Thoroughly enjoyable day.
Great full-day tour with many stops. Bruno the guide was very flexible and updated the agenda to work around weather and tides to give the best experience possible.
Our driver, we called him Franky, was so knowledgeable and friendly, he answered all our questions. We had a group of 5 so it was perfect. It's an emotional experience and reading about it before you go would be to your benefit. Bring good walking shoes.
Nicholas was our tour guide. He was amazing. He was very knowledgeable and thorough with explaining to us the history. He went above and beyond to do anything we asked.
A small group tour is the was to see Normandy! Our guide, Chris, was excellent and very knowledgeable. He customized the tour based on the tide at Omaha Beach and crowds. It was a long day, but it didn’t feel that way since we saw so much.
Great time with a host who was from the area. Very polite guide and had good english which is important
Our day in Normandy was such a wonderful experience. Our guide, Nicholas, was extremely knowledgeable both about WW2 and about the sites that we visited. I learned a great deal and have a much better understanding of both the French and American history surrounding the war. Nicolas was also very kind and accommodating on every part of the tour. I especially appreciated his honoring the posted request for silence as a show of respect in parts of the American cemetery. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour and would highly recommend it to others.
It was well worth paying to go as a small group! They cater to your needs including umbrellas and assistance on and off the shuttle if needed. They provide help finding family members buried at the cemetery. Laurence was very knowledgeable and answered everyone’s questions. He even adjusted the itinerary to avoid the forecasted rain.
Michel was a great tour guide! Cider tasting was wonderful and my meal was excellent. Very informative and Michel was a very agile driver got us back on time!
This tour was incredible! The main tour was split into 2 groups of 7 and 8 which then went off on their own. This made for a very comfortable size. Our guide, Andre(?) (I apologize if I got his name wrong), was great! He pointed out various sites on the travels to & from the coast and scheduled our stops at the ideal times. The stops were amazing and left me in awe. In summary, we made a stop at the Omaha Beach military museum, the American Military Cemetery, a delicious beach restaurant for lunch, a very old cider distillery with some history and 3 stops along Omaha Beach - I could have spend hours at Pointe du Hoc. Must do for anyone, and everyone!
Our trip was awesome. Victor was personable, knowledgeable, passionate, and fun! We were lucky to be with a great group of people who were easygoing and kind. The stops were memorable and gave us a very good understanding of what happened on D-Day and its importance. The lunch was delicious, and we enjoyed the cider stop very much!
Absolutely fantastic trip! It is a very long day with 2 1/2 hour or so drive each way but in a nice mini-bus, so that helps! A lot of walking but worth it!!! Our guide, Enzo( sorry, I may not be remembering correctly) was superb and exceptionally knowledgeable! I highly recommend him!!! Andy L North Carolina, USA
Although it’s a long day (12-13 hours with 3 hours travel each way from Normandy) we thoroughly enjoyed the day. Our guide and driver, Nicholas, took us to a German bunker, Omaha Beach, and the nearby cemetery. It was a sobering, but fascinating experience!
What a great experience. Our guide was knowledgeable and fun! We saw amazing sites and so much history!
Christopher was an excellent guide for our day trip to Normandy. This trip was full of knowledge of D day. Totally exceeded our expectations! It was a highlight of our trip to Paris.
Our tour guide was very knowledgeable, very nice and truly loved what he does. The restaurant we stopped at for Lunch was fantastic.
Nicholas was an excellent tour guide- very informative . We covered multiple D day sites and learned so much.
Carlisle greatly enhanced the trip with his knowledge of World War II, D Day, and of the involvement of the American forces.
Well organized with ample time at the sites outlined. Lunch and snack breaks were very good. Our guide, Antoine, was outstanding - very knowledgeable and informative. He was a pleasure for the entire excursion.
Julian was fantastic!!! Very knowledgeable and a good personality
Small group travel was excellent. Nicholas was a great guide. Travel was easy and comfortable. Great stop for lunch , and necessary breaks throughout the day. Restaurant open where you begin and end the day. Ok to you there facilities and grab a drink before the trip. 3 hours to get there goes fast.
