Incredible day. Made us proud to be Canadian. Antoine was a very pleasant and knowledgeable guide. Also very nice to be a small group of 8 Canadians!
Great tour overall . It is a long day but well worth the time to explore the Normandy area . Canadian focus was well done . Guide was very informative and allowed plenty of time for seeing everything.
Great day out, Enzo our guide was fantastic. Whole day experience, comfort on the drive and knowledge of Enzo, and different included tours were brilliant.
Our guide was Laurent and he was the best. Super friendly, informative and truly passionate about teaching us everything he could about D Day. As a Canadian I feel very honoured to have been able to attend this tour. Nothing but the best words to say about both Laurent and the trip in general. Thank you!
Our guide was very knowledgeable and made our tour interesting. I wish we could have gone into Canada house, but visiting the museum and Abbey made it worthwhile. A long but very interesting day.
Our trip to Normandy was the highlight of our trip to France. Our guide Julien was so knowledgeable about the history and explained everything so well. This tour is worth the money and very well organized. Would highly recommend!
Well worth the money for any Canadian. Enzo was fantastic. Extremely knowledgeable about the Canadian involvement. He also worked in a trip to Le Mensil Patry to see the memorial to the First Hussars where our relative was killed. Forever grateful! Brent & Theresa Tugwell
Laurent was an amazing tour guide. He helped find the headstone of my Great Great Uncle who died for his country in WWII. I am forever grateful.
We had an absolutely unforgettable experience on our Normandy D-Day tour from Paris! Our guide, Philippe, was incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, and navigated the day beautifully. He brought the history to life and made a long 12-hour day feel seamless. I highly recommend booking with Blue Fox Travel—and specifically asking for Philippe if you can!
This experience was well worth the money. A full day tour of Normandy with a focus on the Canadian's role on D-day. HP was an informative and helpful tour guide. A must for all Canadians travelung to France. Lest we forget ❤️.
Enzo was an excellent guide. Very knowledgeable. I am very happy with the experience my family had. Worth the money and lots to see.
Our tour guide had a PH’d in history and it made a big difference for sure because he was so knowledgeable. The beach was so somber yet comforting as well it was like you could feel the souls with you.The museum was very nice and the best part was the movie at the end
This was a fantastic all-day trip! Juno Beach and the Center were awesome and so powerful to experience. The guide took us to many sites and provided so much info! We stopped for lunch at a local seafood restaurant (they had non-seafood options) for some local cuisine. My daughter and Husand are history buffs and thought this tour was perfect. We were guided and driven by Antoine who was a great host for the day! This is a perfect tour for the history buffs in your life.
Very long day but well worth it. Guide was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Van was comfortable and air conditioned
My sister and I had an amazing experience travelling to Normandy with Bluefox travel company. This small group tour is a worthy addition to any trip to France. Our guide, Clement, was knowledgeable, patient, friendly, and helpful. His careful navigation and comprehensive explanations helped reinforce the magnitude of the D-Day attacks and Canada's contributions to the war efforts. The visit to Juno beach and surrounding areas was a poignant reminder of the soldiers sacrifices and commitment to a brighter future despite the odds. As a Canadian I would highly recommend taking this tour to pay homage to those who lost their lives on D-Day. The tour was almost 12 hours as it takes 3 hours to travel to/from Normandy. Due to the time constraints we only had 2 hours at the Juno beach centre (including the 45 minute guided tour of the bunkers). However, this is just enough time to look around the centre. As we then drove to the Cemetery at Beny-sur Mer, Canada house, Hell’s corner and the Abbaye, it was understandable our time would be condensed to ensure we returned to Paris at a reasonable time.
We had an excellent tour with Antoine. We learned a lot about the D-Day invasion and Canada’s role in it. It was nice to get out of Paris for part of our trip and see the French countryside.
Julien was a wonderful guide. One of the best days of our trip.
Our guide was fantastic, knowledgeable, and friendly. Could not recommend this any more. He brought so much wit and humor to his tour and we loved him!
If you're interested in history and want to learn more about all those courageous man that landed on D-Day. This is without a doubt for you. Our guide was more than amazing. So insightful, knowledgeable and made this tour so interesting. It was truly amazing.
Every Canadian should take this tour so they can hear the stories and personalize those who fought for our rights, many of whom were underage. Very emotional day.
Hands down, best tour ever, the tour guide Mathieu made our trip the best we’ve ever had. His enthusiasm, knowledge and patience with all our questions was exemplary. He ensured that our every need was met, checked in regularly to make sure we were enjoying our experience and to ensure our needs were being met. We would go again and recommend you go as well, as Canadians we really enjoyed seeing the difference and how much the efforts of our nation made in the war effort. I was teary eyed and proud the entire tour.
While this is a full day excursion, it is well worth the time to understand a historical perspective on what Canadian soldiers experienced at Juno beach. Our tour guide Clement was very knowledgeable and informative. The small group tour allowed for a more intimate experience. The air conditioned van in which we travelled was clean and felt safe. Bathrooms are not readily available at the Cemetery so keep that in mind. The Cemetery was beautiful and peaceful. So well kept by the people of France.
This is a great way to learn more about the Canadian experience in Normandy. We had Antoine as our guide and he was fabulous. Very knowledgeable and professional.
First off, our guide Mathieu was exceptional. He met us early and made us feel welcome. We never felt rushed, he let us set the pace, while covering the necessary visits. Extremely knowledgable on the invasion and all the points of interest. He shared what was most important to us and provided excellent maps and a binder of information which we really appreciated. The trip was very moving and emotional and we had time to reflect. Mathieu was very respectful and gave us space to explore on our own. He also guided us to experiences and moments that we would not have had without his professional service. From leading us to the graves of those we will never forget to a lunch that was excellent we loved every minute spent with him.
It was great to see Juno beach and the museum and also the cemetery. The other stops were not my cup of tea. The place we ate was average and pos not working. Our guide struggled with English
Outstanding tour of Omaha Beach and D-Day sites. Our guides were communicative and responsive before we arrived. The pickup was easy to locate, and our guides welcomed us right away. It’s a 12+ hour day (depending on traffic) to do this as a day trip from Paris. But, if you’re tight on time and want to fit this in, this tour is a great way to go. We stopped by multiple gun and observation bunkers along the beach, went to Omaha beach and observed several of the memorials at different points along the beach. We went to the American cemetery - and even got a flyby from a USAF C-130 while they played taps. We had a great lunch stop and did some fun cider tasting, before ending the tour at the D-Day museum - which was as jam-packed with as many artifacts and stories as any military museum I’ve been to - and I’ve been to many. Our guides, Victor, was very friendly and knowledgeable. He taught us a bit about the whole Overlord campaign, and he had a personal connection to the history, as his great grandfather had fought in the very beaches we walked along. Highly recommend this tour if you only have a day to see some important history, and to see how closely connected Normandy is to the Allied nations.
We really enjoyed this tour. It was a long day, but well worth the time. Our guide was very informative. The timing was good. It was very emotional walking on Juno Beach and going in the tunnels where this all took place. It was special to have the Canadian students guide us though the underground tunnels.
We travelled with Blue Fox Travel from Paris to see Juno Beach, the Canadian visitor centre, the Canadian cemetery and some of the German bunkers still standing after World War II. Our guide HP knew his history and provided a nice tour and stories about DDay for 4 of us from Toronto. It was a long day but we had plenty of stops and guided informative visits at each point.
Enzo was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Was a very moving experience to stand where our Canadian soldiers and allies actually invaded the beach. Humbling to realize how many soldiers died for our freedoms.
Today was spectacular! Our tour guide was very knowledgable and wonderful company for the day! We would highly recommend this type of tour as it felt very personalized. We found a family member at the Canadian cemetery, and enjoyed feeling like the tour was designed just for us. This was definitely a major highlight of our time in France and we would 100% recommend this experience. We went with her kids who are all the age of those who fought at Juno Beach so it hit very close to home.
While this was an early day, it was an amazing tour. Our guide, Matthieu, was wonderful, cheery and informative. The stops during the day are well planned and worth the drive. One of very few trips available to the Canadian beach and cemetery. Guide and transportation arrived on time for pick up and were very easy to find at the pick up location.
We had a great experience with Blue Fox Travel for our tour to the Canadian D-Day event visiting Juno Beach, the Canadian cemetery and many other locations. We had tour guide “HP”. He was right on time and very informative, full of information about all the events, the Canadian military experienced. It was a great history lesson, especially as we are Canadian.
Awesome experience, our guide Antoine was great, hard to describe the experience. The graveyard and Canadian garden were amazing.
Tour and guides very knowledgeable and overall experience excellent. Length of tour appropriate as well.
My wife and I took this tour on Memorial Day and is was a very memorable experience. Our guide was excellent and well prepared. His English was good. The 8 person van was comfortable and had adequate air conditioning on a hot day. We left early and avoided the crowds. The tour lasted almost 14 hours since it was a long drive from Paris, but it was well worth it. There is quite a bit of walking at a fast pace. This was a highlight of our trip to France.
Antoine was an excellent guide. Thoroughly enjoyed all of the sights and learning more about the history.
We enjoyed a wonderful day in Normandy. Our guide, Chis, was excellent. He demonstrated a wealth of knowledge about D- Day and the beaches. The father of one member in our group was part of the Omaha Beach landing and Chris took extra time to take us to the sector where he landed making it special for this son and all of us in the group. A long day but well worth it!
Excellent tour! Very knowledgeable tour guide Bren from Brie was a fantastic guide with so many stories from her own past, we very much appreciated her expertise and great experience seeing Juno beach, bunkers, Canadian cemetery and extra add on the Abbey where 20 Canadian soldiers were executed. Highly recommend this tour and the small group made it extra special!
Great to go with a small group. The Canadian graveyard was beautiful, peaceful and full of perennial flowers. It was interesting to see the German bunkers and Juno Beach. Wished we had more time in the Museum, which is very well done. HP was a great guide who provided interesting and informative information and made the day very enjoyable. Lunch was great fun, too.
Knowing the history of Juno Beach and actually being there is very different. It made quite an impact. The beach is long and wide open...our young men were courageous. Our guide Phillipe was excellent.
We had a great experience with our guide Brune. She is very knowledgeable and expertly managed the rush hour traffic through the Arch de Triumph traffic circle. The drive to Normandy from Paris is fairly long but we did have a gas station break about 3/4 of the way there and back. The Juno beach memorial/ museum was excellent and for me a little emotional. This was one of the highlights of our trip to France
This was a wonderful tour! We were so happy to find one with a Canadian perspective as most tend to focus on the other beaches. Will was very informative and we learned a lot. It would have been helpful if it had been mentioned that the movie at the end of the Juno Beach Centre runs on the 15 mins starting at the top of the hour. Every guide tells you how good this movie is but they failed to mention that and the sign that says it is only right in front of the movie place at the end of the tour so I missed it by 2 mins and would have made my tour late if I'd stayed to watch. Otherwise, a great day.
We had an amazing tour of Omaha Beach , pointe de Hoc the American Cemetary and the Overlord Museum. If you only have 1 day for Normandy, this is a great tour. Our Guide, Nicholas was great.
Walking on that beach and visiting that cemetery are something every Canadians should do once in their life
Excellent experience, all canadians especially military personnel should experience the somber reality of what those before us sacrificed
Mathew was an outstanding guide on our tour to Juno Beach. His knowledge and passion for history brought the events of D-Day to life, especially the important role Canadians played during the invasion and throughout the war. He explained everything in a clear, engaging, and respectful way that made the experience both educational and deeply moving. We appreciated how he shared personal stories, historical details, and answered all of our questions with enthusiasm. This tour was one of the highlights of our trip, and we would highly recommend Mathew to anyone wanting a meaningful and memorable experience in Normandy.
Antoine was great Very informative, funny with attention to detail. He went out of his way to get us fresh oysters from the fishermen Highly recommend him !
This Juno Beach D-Day tour was a valuable opportunity to better understand the involvement of Canadian troops in the Normandy landings that unfolded in June 1944. We spent the morning visiting “Canada House” and then travelled to the Juno Beach Centre. There we had a guided tour inside of two original German bunkers that were situated on the beach as part of the Atlantic Wall. We had about an hour to visit the museum detailing the Canadian operations in Normandy. We were disappointed that more time wasn't allotted to the museum. One suggestion to improve this tour would be to allow participants more time to explore the museum by pairing back some of the afternoon itinerary that included travel to Hell’s Corner and Ardenne Abbey. These are all important and interesting landmarks to visit, but there is only so much time available during a one-day tour from Paris. Be aware that you will be travelling in an 8 passenger minibus. Three of the seats are located on a bench at the back providing limited legroom and less comfort than the other 5 seats.
Well worth the money and time. Mathieu was a very knowledgeable tour guide who provided a vast array of information and facts about D-Day and the surrounding area.
