Great overview of WWII beaches. Our guide was very knowledgable and entertaining. We did stop at Juno Beach 🇨🇦, as well as the American landing sites and cemetary. Was a long day, but the bus was comfortable, sufficient stops for restrooms and refreshment, the driver was superb. Drop off is very close to Eiffel Tower and Metro 6. Beware of the stickers you put on your clothes, it was extremely difficult to remove and damaged my raincoat.

Had a nice time visiting the beaches/sites for D-Day but felt rushed at each site and not enough time spent (our reneges thought this as well). Tour guide very knowledgeable. Take medication for motion sickness before going-3 out of 4 of us got nauseous.
The tour would have been amazing, but our tour guide was horrible. He was difficult to understand and babbled. He did most of his talking on the bus and didn’t explain anything at the sites. We sat behind him and he leaned his seat back and was almost in our lap. He put his jacket on the back of the seat even though he had an empty seat beside him. I finally asked him to move it because it was also in our space and blocking our view. I felt we were rushed at the sites and given more time at the gas station stops than some of the tour sites.
Our tour guide was great. He provided excellent information. Very knowledgeable. Very informative. I would use him again.
Leila was a wonderful guide and very knowledgeable about the history of Bormandy. Her compassion and consideration of the significance of the tour was evident in her dialogue. She was very charming and even charged my phone for me❤️🇫🇷🇺🇸
The journey is very long for a really short time in the stops. The tour guide was a really great guy and accommodated us as best he could. The toilet wasn't accessible on board as apparently no water, made for uncomfortable trip.
It was a great day out. Just six of us on the tour. Camile was excellent. Very informative. I would take the tour again.
Our guide was awesome! The weather was very cold and windy but still a great trip. Would do in the warmer months
Camille was excellent! Lots of great knowledge about history of world war 2. Made the trip enjoyable for everyone on the bus. Very memorable!
This was an excellent tour led by Camille. She was very knowledgeable, passionate, and engaging. We especially appreciated her enthusiasm and willingness to answer questions. Highly recommend!
Our guide, Camille, is very passionate about what happened at Normandy and not forgetting the importance of that event and that showed in everything she showed us and spoke about. She made the day memorable for us and we are more appreciative of what happened at Normandy than before we took this tour.
Excellent tour guide, information, and driver. We picked this tour specifically as it was one of the few tours that included a visit to Juno Beach. However our stop at Juno Beach was only 15 minutes (barely enough time to walk to the beach, and visit the memorial). We only had a few minutes to visit the building before we had to leave. At least 30 minutes at Juno Beach would have been nice considering we spent hours at the other sites
Our guide was excellent. She was knowledgeable and very friendly. She answered all our questions. I highly recommend Camelia as a guide.
It was awesome. Would have been nice to have a little longer at the sites but I get it. The trip was already a long one.
Our tour guide was amazing and so knowledgeable about the history of WWII. She also knew history of the surrounding areas as well. She had a real passion for history. I heard information that I never knew.
Absolutely wanted to do this tour and so glad I did. The 4 hour bus ride was expected and not bad. A chance to rest. The weather was perfect. The problem was that the guide's heavy accent made it almost impossible to understand. Also, there was confusion about the included lunch. Food was great but service was super slow which meant limited time to walk around. Would recommend just eating on your own to save time.
A wonderful day. Tolson was an incredible guide. We visited several historically significant places. The day was long but broken up by well-placed snack and restroom breaks. Free time and lunch in Normandy was wonderful. My friends all thought it was very worth the cost.
There was too little content for the price paid. We skipped at least one proposed stop. Our driver was a bit disengaged from the process. The vehicle was nicely comfortable, so that was appreciated. The tour guide was nice, and friendly. I would have enjoyed more content from him about the sites that we toured. The included lunch was average at best, but the location for it was cool, and the surroundings were interesting. Driving back to Paris took greater than 3.5 hours, so that was a drag.
It was long but very informative. Very moving experience to share with my family. Amelia was a great guide!
Guide shared pertinent info about d day and Omaha beach etc but really very little about the towns and countryside and buildings we saw. He was very engaging and interesting and even funny at times on the info he did share but mostly encouraged us to rest on the bus. I really wanted more information as we drove along. We could have learned so much more but this tour seemed just focused on D day. He pointed out a castle and the rapeseed fields and mistletoe trees but very little else on the 3 hour drive.
We really enjoyed this Normandy experience. It has alot of history and very interesting. The tour bus was on time and made multiple stops. The town where we stopped for lunch was very cute right on the water. The only thing I would suggest is not to include your lunch with the tour because they give you a limited menu, you do not get to choose from the full menu. I would recommend this tour.
Very comfortable ride. Guide was AWESOME - learned sooo much!!! Great deal of information given that made the trip so relevant
The morning sign in process was very chaotic and could need some improvements. I think for the price we paid, they can do more than stickers to help identify what group we are in. I would also recommend providing a detailed itinerary for the day so we know ahead of time how much time we have at each site as well as how long until the next. Overall, we were given enough time at each site and we are so happy we’re were able to hit on the key points in one day. As Canadians, this was the only one day tour from Paris that had the option to see Juno beach. We were very grateful that we could include this in our trip.
Positives: Ann our Guide was great & gave good commentary throughout the tour. Could have explained some of the nice countryside along the way since it looked like some nice villages we drove past. Long day tour from Paris but scheduled well with rest stops, sightseeing & lunch stop. Negative: Meeting location & drop off not well planned. Gave an address but it was almost deserted early in the morning until people started to wander around. A cafe where the bus would arrive, would have been a good location to mention! At end of tour we were supposed to be dropped off by Eiffel tower and, AGAIN, not as planned. We were told to walk several blocks to cafes and where taxis would be available to return to our hotel. Understand that the Olympics caused some change of plans, but this should have been better planned out. Tour worthwhile if your intention is to see Normandy beaches & historical sites.
Anne was our guide, and she was phenomenal. Soft spoken on the microphone, she gave us the full linear story/history from the European perspective - and it was detailed and emotionally moving. We also had time to relax in peace and quiet on the comfortable, air conditioned bus, reflecting on the history we were told as we approached the various stops. We had a tight schedule but it was just right. Anne made herself available not only for historical questions, but for questions about restaurants and sights to see in Normandie and Paris, too. She was just a very helpful, friendly, knowledgeable person who made the trip so special. You probably really need a week to see and experience Normandie - but this one-day trip with Anne was a wonderful introduction, making you want to return..
We had a terrific day. Steve our guide was incredible, his knowledge, recommendations and guidance were on point and really contributed to an amazing experience. The Normandy experience is humbling when you think about what it signifies, this tour was a perfect way to really understand what our service men sacrificed for us 80 years ago!
Very well, organized, timed, and executed tour. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and informative, providing excellent narrative throughout the day.
Three things: First, it wasn’t always easy to understand the guide on the bus. The sound system could be better. Second, we didn’t stop for lunch until after 3pm. Too late, especially if you had dinner reservations for 7 or 8 pm. Lastly, while the Pullman hotel works as the pickup point, it doesn’t work as the drop off point. Traffic, especially in the area of the Eiffel Tower is very bad. Trying to drive a BUS through the middle of Paris at dinner time is not practical. We weren’t dropped off until almost 9pm. Suggest you pick a drop off spot where it’s not too congested.
We knew there would be limited time at the sites of interest, but we would have had more time to roam if the guide had given background info during the lengthy bus ride, instead of speaking quietly at the sites while we struggled to get close enough to hear him. Bus driver had trouble in some tight situations.
TOTOL FAIL..Very cramped bus seats. Knowledgable but cold guide. He arrived 30 minutes late due to "car trouble". Cracked front bus windsheild, but the topper was when an emergency exit skylight in rhe bus exploded. No problem, after a 45 minute delay, drive on with the rain dropping in to the bus. No apologies at all...
Our guide was outstanding. Very knowledgeable and with great experience. He was able to share so much with us.
I would recommend this tour to anyone interested in a full-day tour of the American sites related to the D-Day landings. Omaha Beach was at high tide so much of it was covered by water, but by the time we got to Juno Beach the tide was out and you could get a sense for how big the landing operation was and how important the timing with the tide was! I did this tour on Veteran’s Day 2023 which made it even more meaningful. Can’t wait to watch “Saving Private Ryan” again! The cemetery is a super sacred and humbling place…war is such a waste of life, but I am grateful for those brave souls that risk and sometimes lose it all to maintain freedom and liberty for those of us who remain…may we always remember and honor their sacrifice. It had rained heavily all week but we lucked out with beautiful weather. I would advise being ready for some rain and wind though as that happens often - bring a small umbrella and/or rain coat/poncho. The drive through the villages and the French countryside was charming. The tour guide was super knowledgeable and the day was well-planned, efficient and enjoyable. The lunch, including the fresh in-season scallops was also awesome (out of pocket). Just the right balance of talking and downtime to soak it all in. The bus was comfortable for the 3+ hour drive each way (we made a stop for bathrooms and refreshments each way) and the driver was also great! Loved it all and would highly recommend this tour!
Layla was an excellent guide for our day trip to Normandy from Paris. She made the long day very informative and exciting. Great stops at Omaha, US. Cemetery and several other spots. Would recommend.
My husband and I had a great tour to Normandy, our tour guide and driver were very professional. Bridget knew a great deal about Normandy, WWII, and the local culture. They were prompt and kept us on schedule. Highly recommend them and this tour!
Zoltan was an outstanding tour guide. Together with his driver, Fred, we had an incredible day. Zoltan balanced the needs of a large group of ages and interests and had great energy. His passion for the topics, knowledge and personal experience in the armed forces made this tour especially memorable. I’d highly recommend!
If you’re a war history buff this tour is for you. Our guide Zoltan, might be soelling it wrong here, had extensive knowledge on the subject matter. He was very engaging and made the history part very digestibale for non history enthusiasts like myself.
Excellent tour with Zoltan (and our driver Fred)! Zoltan is highly educated on military history and D-Day/WWII in particular. Entertaining and informative day to the beaches of Normandy.
Our guide, Molzan?, was the BEST guide I have ever experienced. He was incredibly knowledgeable. He was very attentive to our needs and provided a wonderfully full experience. I appreciated his sincere interest in the history and his ability to tell the stories. The tour was well organized. Thank you!
This trip was absolutely amazing!! From the moment you leave to the moment you return, there is no letdown and it was fantastic! Our tour guide, Zoltain, was incredible - so knowledgeable, informative, engaging and impressive! While it was fantastic to see the sites in person, Zoltain's explanation, history, experiences and deep knowledge made them 'come to life'. We were able to take great pictures and I would highly recommend this trip! One of the highlights of our trip to France, leaving is with tremendous memories. Incroyable!!
It was great to be able to see Normandy in a day. There's a lot to see, and with the 4 hour bus ride from Paris it can seem short, but our tour guide Steve worked hard for us! He showed us so many great stops, shared history, and answered questions. We even had a medical emergency and he handled it with expert care and kept us on our timeline. The bus driver did a good job navigating us through traffic. However THE BUS DID NOT HAVE AIR CONDITIONING! This was a big failure for the tour company and I would not recommend booking with them for this specific reason. We were promised AC and the bus was so hot. The tour company should double-check the AC before every trip. Not sure how this was missed. The tour guide did everything he could.
We had a great trip with our guide, Steve. He was good about keeping the tour on time and didn't talk too much. He told great stories and gave relevant information, all while being fun. Sites were great. We are very glad we booked this trip.
This was my second trip to the Normandy Beaches and it never ceases to move me. This tour was well-paced for a one day trip out of Paris. The meeting place was easy to find and the tour guides were very well organized. Rest stops along the way were well planned. My only complaint was that the trip is advertised as a maximum of 20 persons and that was one of my reasons for choosing this tour. I was disappointed to see that it was a large bus (approx 40 people) tour. All the other participants were lovely and the guide knowledgeable and entertaining. I've used Viator many times - and will again - so I was surprised that this tour was not what I thought I'd purchased. I would recommend this tour, just understand its size.
Our day trip to Normandy was a highlight of our family’s visit to France. My teenage son says this was his favorite thing! Our guide, Zoltan was incredible! He was not only very knowledgeable on all things related to the D- Day invasion, but had such passion for it as well. We all learned and experienced so much and left with a deeper understanding, and appreciation for the sacrifices made by the the soldiers, and also the civilians in the area. I would highly recommend this tour.
Great experience, guide and comfortable transportation. My wife and I traveled from US to Paris. This is a a must see.
This tour is everything it promises to be!!! Our tour guide she was amazing!!! Very knowledgeable and friendly. The tour allows you to experience so much. Don’t let the length of this tour scare you away, your experiencing so much the time flys..
The tour included the Caen Museum, Point du Hoc, the American Cemetery of Vierville, Omaha Beach and other beaches. Very good guide (can't remember his name), he talked in english, french, italian and spanish and was very cordial. He had a lot of technical knowledge. He went through iconic places. The time they gave us was acceptable, and it included a meal in Caen, where we could try out a wide variety of ham and cheese at a stop near Omaha Beach. The only thing that I regretted and is worth mentioning is that they didn't stop at the Mulberry in Arromanches because we ran out of time. Otherwise, it was a very good your!
Tour guide couldn’t be bothered to lead the tour, walked really fast and wasn’t even around half the time. At one point she told my mother not to bother going down, there was nothing to see. The beach itself was amazing, really appreciate the fact that I got to witness a historical site, but for the price I paid I felt let down by the guide. Half the time she was more concerned with being in the bus, putting on her creams than actually ensuring the group knew where to meet, and so on.
Had a great time visiting and learning about the sacrifice of the men and women during this time. Weather was cold and rainy and the guide was very knowledgeable, we had a good experience.
I visited Paris 3 times in the past 2 years. One of the reasons as to why I had a fond memory of France was because of the tours from Paris City Vision. In April 2018, I joined 3 tours with Paris City Vision to Normandy Beach (Memorial to the American, Canadian, and British soldiers), Mont St Michel, and Claude Monet's Giverny and Palace of Versailles tour. The tours were majestic, and they were well-organized. The tour guides were positive, helpful, and informative throughout the journey. The French dinners at Giverny, Normandy, and Mont St Michel were delicious. Since I was going to Paris again in Sept 2019 enroute to Spain, I decided to go for another tour with Paris City Vision to the Loire Valley's chateaus built by the French kings. Again, I was very happy with the travel experience. The Loire Valley tour was amazing, and I really enjoyed the historical explanation about the king's chateaus. The tour guide was informative and she was very organized in her explanation. I loved the wine tasting and the cheese at a chateau. I was also happy to buy good quality, cheap wines from the Loire Valley. Thank you very much ParisCityVision. I had very fun and fond memories of Paris and France because of you. That was why I joined 4 tours with this agency.
Radio Agnes is what her fellow tour guides call the tour guide we had for our Normandy tour. She was on the microphone for a good part of the tour. Her knowledge of the surroundings and the stories behind them on the three hour ride to Normandy made for an enjoyable ride. Once we got to Normandy the facts about the history of the D-Day invasion and the days leading up to it was a history lesson right there where history was made.
