Such a great D Day experience. Visiting Omaha Beach was intense and very emotional, and the American Cemetery left a strong impression. Our guide Anna was fantastic, very clear, engaging, and easy to listen to. She explained the history in a simple and interesting way. Big thanks to our driver Ivan for a calm and comfortable ride throughout the day. Everything was well planned with no stress at all. Definitely a tour we will remember!!

The American Cemetery was incredibly moving. Huge thanks to our guide Oksana, she was knowledgeable, friendly, and told real stories that made history feel alive. Our driver Alex was great as well, smooth and comfortable drive all day. Very well organized and never rushed. One of the best day trips we did in France.

Great trip to Normandy from Paris. Oksana was a wonderful guide and Ivan is a top driver. The Caen Memorial and Omaha Beach were very moving to see. Much better than a big bus tour. Highly recommend them!!!

This tour offers a really thorough visit to the important museums and sites in Normandy. It was one of few tours where you can be picked up at your hotel or airbnb which was wonderful for an early start. Our guide and driver were on time and texted us to let us know they had arrived. Oksana was our guide and she made sure we didn’t miss seeing the German bunker at the museum or the flag ceremony at the American cemetery. These details enhanced our visit and understanding. Ivan was a wonderful driver. Seeing the American cemetery was so moving. As was seeing Omaha Beach. These are not to be missed if you want to grasp who we are as a country.
The tour was well organized and we visited all the key places from D Day. Ivan is a great driver and Mykyta is a fantastic guide. I learned a lot and enjoyed the trip.

After another tour operator canceled our long-booked Normandy tour at the last minute, I got back on Viator and booked this tour. We couldn’t have been more happy! Ivan, our driver, picked us up in front of our hotel at exactly the appointed time. We had a chance to get to know each other as we had the drive to the Normandy region. We couldn’t have asked for a better host as he graciously drove us to the appointed sites all day long. He patiently answered all of our questions and was very knowledgeable about the region, even though we booked the non-guided tour. After the tour was completed, we still had a long drive back to Paris. Unfortunately for Ivan, it was a Sunday, and traffic was backed up back in to the city. He got us safely back to our hotel and we bid him a fond farewell. The sites we saw were perfect. What was even more special is that it occurred during the week of D-Day. If you are looking for the perfect tour of Normandy, do not hesitate to book with this operator. They have earned my confidence, and the value of the trip was well worth the cost!
A Beautiful Day in Normandy378russella
Ivan was our fabulous driver taking 7 American women from Paris to Normandy for a day trip. He was very kind and accommodating. He began by meeting us in the hotel lobby and escorting us to the Mercedes van where we were comfortably seated for the 3 hour drive. He allowed us to chat and visit during the drive. As we arrived in Normandy and began our tour, he provided explanations via English podcast before each museum stop. He gave very clear directions on where to enter the museums and where he would meet us at the end of each stop. He even allowed us to swap the Overlord Museum for a preferred Arromanches Museum. When we made our lunch stop he took us to a restaurant in Arromanches and arranged for our lunch (on our own). He opened the door at each stop and made sure we were comfortable. We had a gas station/ bathroom break on the drive up and the drive back which with 7 women was very important. Our day trip was perfect as World War II history came to life for us on the beaches of Normandy. We had an excellent experience with Ivan and Galaxy Tour. We would highly recommend them. We had a another booking that was cancelled 48 hours before we were to leave. We are grateful we were able to book with Galaxy Tour and travel with Ivan!
