Leila was very accommodating to the cross section of international participants on this tour. All guidance was given in English and Leila was certainly very knowledgeable and respectful of the various sections of Louvre. The Louvre is huge and we only saw a small section and at the end of the tour, Leila pointed out where and how to see other sections. Earlier in the day, the easier (less people) it is to see the displays. Overall, really worthwhile and good value.

Itinerary
Let us do the driving while you discover history. Your Normandy day trip from Paris starts with the 3-4-hour drive to France’s northwest coast. Your journey will take through some scenery landscapes before you reach at 10am your first stop.
Pointe du Hoc is a historic cliff-top site on the Normandy coast, famous for its role in the D-Day landings of World War II. U.S. Army Rangers scaled the cliffs under heavy fire to destroy German fortifications overlooking the beaches. Today, the site remains scarred with craters and bunkers and serves as a powerful memorial.
Omaha Beach: one of the toughest american landings. You will know all about the American assault during the Early hours hours of June 6, 1944, one of the most longstanding examples of American military triumph and also an event synonymous with death and destruction.
You will then be able to pay your respects in the eery calm of the American Cemetery and Memorial, where nearly 10,000 US military war dead lie in this most humbling tribute.
Free time for lunch at Arromanches. If you selected the option with the lunch included you will enjoy a 2-courses lunch with 1 drink. You can choose 1 of the following drinks: 12cl of wine, 25 cl of beer, Soft (soda), 50cl of Sparkling or Still water
Stop at the Juno Beach Center, witness of the Canadian soldiers' struggle to end the Nazi tyranny. Time to return back to Paris! You will be dropped at the departure point by 8:00PM.

We met outside the Louv. Our guide were wonderful. They had staffed there to answer questions before we began in our guide. Layla was very very knowledgeable. It was a pleasant tour at 9 AM start
Bad sound in head phones during tour
Excellent way to see Normandy and its cemetery. Tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and provided a great depth of history and details.
Our guide was great and the trip was comfortable and well organized. Be advised this tour doesn’t include Utah Beach. For history buffs this might be a big miss.
Guide was entertaining and knowledgeable. We have an uncle who is buried at the US cemetery and the guide aranged for us to find the grave. Very moving experience.
We were originally scheduled for a small group (6-8) people, but the tour company had to cancel it, and moved us into a large group tour (40) people. This is a long all-day tour, so be prepared and wear appropriately clothing, as the weather is likely to be cold, rainy, and windy (as was ours). Our tour guide was very knowledgeable, and personable. The most moving portion of the tour was certainly the visit to the American Cemetary: Emotional- and made you proud that our nation hasn't forgotten the individuals who gave the ultimate to rid the world of an authoritarian dictatorship.
Great trip Tour Guide was extremely knowledgeable about the region and professional. Great Job and thank you 5 stars. Fault of our Travel Agent. She told us that we were to be picked up at our hotel and brought back to our hotel. We needed to-take a taxi both ways.
Very knowledgeable and friendly guide. Very well organized and efficient. We enjoyed seeing many important historical sites with our cheerful guide. Merci!
A fabulous experience. Leila was an incredible guide and so knowledgeable of the history and area. A moving experience. Highly recommend .
Amazing starting to point to get a lay of the land for DDay adventures. Tour guide was very friendly and very informative. Wish it could be longer!
Fantastic and knowledgeable guide
Steve was awesome, knowledgeable and personable. We enjoyed the day. We would have loved to have more time at cemetery stop to be able to fully explore the museum and cemetery. There just wasn’t enough time.
Very informative tour. Action packed but not overwhelming and enjoyed learning about each destination with our friendly guide Marie.
The experience was overall great! We went as a family and was able to explore several cities such as Mont St. Michel, Hon fleur, and Normandy. The guide was very knowledgeable and sweet sharing history, stories, and experiences. It was all very organized, and I would do it again!
Yay Maria!!! She’s a little nutty but she’s also knowledgeable and kept everything energetic and fun for 2 days - a great guide!!!
Steve was an excellent guide. He was fun to listen to, had great stories and historical knowledge. I highly recommend Steve!
Leila is a knowledgeable and experienced guide for the tour of the Normandy Landing beaches. She shared her knowledge about French history as well as her specific knowledge of WWII history and the D-Day invasion. She was also sensitive about the emotional impact of the visit. Leila was also very helpful and generous in sharing information about things we should see in Paris and recommending a place to eat after the tour ended.
Fantastic way to see a wide range of places and topics in a short amount of time. It is an ambitious itenerary but manageable in the three days. The detailed information given across the whole trip by our guide Marie was particularly appreciated.
It was disappointing. Our guide, Zoltan, was very knowledgeable but seemed like his heart wasn’t in it. He was more concerned about traffic and beating others groups to each destination. He also said there was a rule of no food or drink in the van but he ate sandwiches and drank energy drinks. He was on his phone while driving too. The sites you stop at are perfect and Zoltan had good stories at times he just seemed scattered and in a hurry most of the time.
Guide was fantastic, very knowledgeable and friendly! Trip was Amazing!
Our tour guide Leila was excellent!!! She was very knowledgeable and great at explaining all the facets of D-Day. I highly recommend her. Even request her, if possible. We took October 2 tour. I don’t know our bus drivers name. However, hopefully someone from Viator reads this. He was horrible. Wrong turns. Hard time staying awake. Argued with tour guide. Kept insisting he needed a longer break. He insisted it was the law to take the break. However when you research coach driver break requirements it is 45 minutes for every 4.5 hours. We accomplished that.
Leila, our tour guide was excellent! She is a wealth of knowledge and was able to explain everything in detail. We came off this tour with some much knowledge of D-Day. We did the small group tour and highly recommend it.
We just finished an excellent day tour in Normandy. Our guide Leila made the experience, I would highly recommend. She has great energy and very knowledgeable. A wealth of information, we enjoyed listening to many details of D day throughout our tour of the beaches in Normandy. The tour group was a nice size, you really felt like it was almost a personal tour. The bus was new, clean and comfortable. For the price, you really get what you pay for and more. A delicious meal included, at a beautiful stop on the coast. Merci beaucoup Leila!! A bientot, j'espair:)
Very knowledgeable guide. Leila was passionate about the subject area as well as pleasant and inclusive with everyone. The smaller bus (seats aout 20 passengers) was new and comfortable. The drivers were competent and there were enough breaks to meet everyone's needs. I would definitely like to take another tour with Leila as a guide.
Wonderful day spent with our guide learning all about the Normandy area and the D-day beaches. Comfortable coach and knowledgeable guide. Worth the trip.
Wonderful tour with knowledgeable tour guide and bus driver.
Guide was extremely knowledgeable but I only understood about 50% of what she said. She talked for over two hours without stopping. She definitely knew the topic but I would strongly suggest fiction lessons.
Leila, our tour guide was amazing, she was filled with all kinds of interesting information that I didn’t know about the D Day invasion! She answered so many questions we had. She was the best! It was a very long day, but she gave us a few breaks thru the day. Great experience!
Laela was very knowledgeable and informative. She kept us on schedule all day. It was a great experience
Very comprehensive tour of Normandy.
Great tour. Layla was very knowledgeable and provided enough information without crossing the line into too much. The stops were well timed and gave sufficient time to visit. The bathroom breaks were also well timed!
Great experience. Good information presented about various aspects of the event.
The trip was educational, informative, on time and so m much more. Our guide Steve made the experience amazing. He knew his information, was very entertaining also. When he knew I knew of a friend's family brother buried at the cemetery, he immediately went into action to get permission to bring me to the graveside and escort me. Steve goes above and beyond to be helpful.
A long trip from Paris but worth it. Very informative and friendly guide. American cemetery is sobering.
Bring good walking shoes. Be fit enough to use stairs in different D-Day locations and bring a camera.
Great experience! Maja, our guide, was GREAT! Sites were great, very informative! Great day!
Our guide was changed out at the stop half way to Normandy. We couldn't understand the guide and neither could other people on the tour. Very disappointed as I was really looking forward to this tour.
Tour guide was excellent! Very knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. He gave us plenty of time to view each beach . The lunch site was excellent and gave us plenty of time to explore.
The american cemetery, not far from Omaha Beach, is extremely well kept and really honours the fallen. Go there and take in the atmosphere. We got there in time for the tapto and it was emotional
Great overview of D-Day and the sites and cemetery. Our tour guide , Zofran was very knowledgeable and made sure all of our questions were answered he made sure we were comfortable and that we had enough time to explore the sites.
Our guide Steve was extremely knowledgeable and made our trip fun and very interesting ! I had a wonderful experience!
The whole experience was amazing and very moving. Our tour guide is very kind, knowledgeable and very respectful as well as the driver.
This trip was very good and very organized. Nicolas knew his facts about this historic event.
Great tour with guide Nikola. Very friendly, very knowledgeable and very patient with the group. Highly recommend the tour
This is a great tribute trip visiting the iconic beaches of Normandy and the memorials that commemorate the great invasion that began the end of the European Theater of World War II. Nickolas the guide is very knowledgeable about the warfare that went on there, and also regarding the local life of the French living in the area. Seeing these areas was very meaningful, and had me reminiscing not only of the many sacrifices made there by brave soldiers, but also about my own ancestors who took part in the War.
Great experience lots of history to see guide knew a lot long bus ride but comfortable would recommend
Our hotel pickup was a little late which made us nervous. We transferred to a tour bus with our guide for a three-hour ride to the DD beaches. The break at a gasoline station during the ride to the beaches had very slow service. Our guide was friendly, very knowledgeable, and kept us well on schedule. He did a very good job with his presentation.
Sound system on bus was bad. Couldn’t understand what guide was saying so missed all history that guide talked about
We had Zoltan (I think that’s how you spell it), and he was amazing and had a wealth of knowledge to share with us throughout the trip. Him and the driver (Jacques/Jack) constantly made sure everything on the bus was comfortable. At the arrival points, we had ample of time to walk through with his amazing commentary and anecdotes. Highly recommend.
