this is one of the best collections of impressionist paintings in the world. The museum is also the perfect size in my opinion. You can see all the displayed work in 1 to 2 hours. ... if you're not a fan of impressionist painting... don't go. Also, book ahead the lines are long to get in. It's worth a few extra euros to get an any - time ticket. You can skip the line.

The art was amazing. The tickets for “anytime” are misleading. It is not clear that you may have to wait well over an hour. Standing in the freezing rain was really unpleasant
Wonderful museum! Must see in Paris. An exceptional support from Rushikesh Rajiwad from the customer support team. I was running a bit late due to late arrival in Paris, and they were able to reschedule my time reservation promptly. The free audio guide is also good, it provides an overview and intro to the permanent collection. But I highly recommend to get an audio guide at the museum as well as it is curated for each exhibition. The highlight of my trip in Paris.
It is a little confusing that it says anytime entry and then are given a time at 9 am, however after sending an email they accommodated the time requested. The audio part was very frustrating and we were not able to access the audio. The service should partner with the audio at the museum for a better experience. Because of the audio issue I do not recommend
Orangerie is a unique museum with two large rooms designed by Claude Monet to immerse the visitor within large paintings of his Lilly pond at Giverny that wrap completely around you. It is meant to be a contemplative experience. The museum also has other traditional galleries on lower floors with more paintings in temporary exhibition by Monet and/or other Impressionists.
Tickets did not arrive in time so we missed the event. Tried to contact them but they did not fix the issue until 2 hours later
great exhibition, but you need to book a date and time, otherwise you can wait more that 2 hours whitout gettting in
Do not book with Viator. Their booking email told me that I had a link for a time slot voucher, but it didn’t exist! We expected to have a 9.30 time slot but we had to go to the end of the queue with people who didn’t have tickets. Book direct with L’Orangerie. The exhibition was excellent, but would have been better without the crowds standing in front of the paintings.
We were lucky that the entire Museum has monnet s paintings put up, and they were amazingly good. Breathtaking experience
It was incredible, I am a huge Monet fan and the oval room exhibitions were amazing, such a unique way to appreciate paintings. We were blessed to visit during the anniversary of his passing and also enjoy the exhibition of his other works alongside those of Renoir, Matisse and Picasso. Such stunning paintings, what an honour to see them.
It’s legit, you have to wait a while for the 2 PDFs (the admission ticket and the time slot assignment) to be sent to you via Viator’s messaging function. But it’s not “anytime admission” as in that you can just walk up to the front of the line and enter the museum immediately, you still have to stand in line for the assigned time slot, but the line is shorter than the line for those with no pre-purchased tickets or assigned time slots.
Beware! You get nothing for this ticket which is double the regular ticket price. We bought this ticket because according to the visit website: “ Experience the Musée de l'Orangerie at your convenience with a reserved access entrance. Eliminate the hassle of long queues and waiting for ticket sales to commence with your advance booking. “ We were directed to the 3 hour wait line- no benefit at all. We had to leave and waste time and double the money. Never do this!
The anytime tickets I purchased meant standing in line for 3 hours to get in. Due to rain and cold wind we left after an hour in line.
Audio tour that comes with ticket purchase does not work. The download qr code and app is a pain to navigate. Not worth the price.
Unfortunately, the line to get in even with tickets was over two hours long. Therefore, we did not go.
The Viator experience was wonderful. We chose our entry time the same day and walked right in. Thank you, Viator!
While the tickets were not time stamped, I was able to call and get timed tickets while standing in line, this allowed us to skip to the timed entry line. The company representative was professional and efficient. Audio guide was easy to download/ but I would not recommend using it. It was read by AI with awkward pronunciation.
Loved Monet! So much to absorb thru his paintings.
Although our tickets were for anytime, we bypassed the ticket lines because we had disabilities. A specific time would have been better. The lines were long. The museum was marvelous and well worth it! Purchasing the tickets was simple and easy. Viator has worked well for us in many countries! We will use them again in the future!
We booked an anytime ticket and had to stand in a general line that was 3 hours long. We did not end up waiting to go in and the tickets were not refundable. I would recommend a timed entry ticket although that line was long as well.
Great experience, wonderful museum, and the Monet - his large scale canvas, the he painted his waterlilies.
You definitely want to get a reserved time ticket like this one! Only $2 more but it keeps you from waiting 1 to 2 hours in the general admission. It may have been busier at this museum because the Louvre was closed due to protestors, so our 3:00 reserve time turned into 3:45. General admission line was taking over 2 hours. Once in the museum, the Monet displays were fantastic! A must see if you are a Monet fan.
Do not buy under any circumstances! We waited 2 hours in the cold to get in! This is a total and complete ripoff.
This was such a beautiful experience from start to finish they really gave us the best customer service and entry was breeze I reccomend to do all your bookings with them for any activity
On Friday, our plans for Saturday fell through and I tried to get tickets at the museum. They were sold out. So I went to TripAdvisor and found thiis Viator tour. It was more expensive than a regular ticket, but it was available and I could get a timed entry. We got to the museum 5 mins after our time and we able to walk in despite an hour wait on the line without timed entry.. The Museum is great. We had decided to skip it due to too many other activities but it was a highllight of our 5 days. We could go through the whole museum (which was just about the right amount of time for us). The audioguide was very good. Then we saw a virtual reality experience of Monet, 7 euros for 20 mins. We were skeptical but it was well worth it.
Audio would not download no help available… ticket purchased online no refunds. Frustrated and disappointed.
Amazing experience. Viator was able to give me a time slot the day that we went. The line outide was fairly substantial and we were able to walk right in.
Save your money: - you still have to wait in a 1-2 hour line with this ticket along with everyone who has no ticket - the instructions for the audio guide are confusing and will come too late to download apps or remember your headphones - I assumed (incorrectly) that this was a voucher for the museum-provided audio tour. Because I had no headphone and did not have the app, I ended up paying 5€ at the door to get the audio guide. - admission itself after lining up would have been €12.70, so save your money and just line up and pay at the door.
Getting a ticket for the museum was helpful but you should make clearer that the timed entry is a placeholder and that you can change the time if needed.
The Orangerie is definitely a must -see. However, I wouldn’t bother using tickets from Viator for the following reasons: They are more expensive than venue tickets You still have to queue The audio guide is ridiculously difficult to access - in fact I had to give up and do without it
Good not open the tickets and they refused to give me a refund. I tried my hardest to get then to understand but I paid for a museum I could not see.
The Monet water lily panels were fantastic. Awe inspiring and a must see. I would however recommend booking a time slot ticket entry versus this particular general entry ticket. We had to wait in a line for over an hour. Easier to book directly thru museum and get a specific entry time.
You don't get your tickets until the day before and if you are traveling from another country overnight it may be a problem if you don't have good international connection. We had anytime tickets but still had to wait in a long line. Also our tickets to the Orangerie said with audio, but the museum did not give us the audio, we had to pay for it.
The art inside the Musée de l'Orangerie is absolutely breathtaking. Seeing Monet's Water Lilies in person was a deeply moving experience, and the entire layout of the museum is beautiful. However, the entry organization was highly frustrating. I waited outside in line for 1 hour and 15 minutes simply because my ticket did not have a specific time slot assigned to it. It turns out that those with timed-entry slots are heavily prioritized, while anyone with an open or untimed pass gets stuck waiting for a very long time. Go for the art, but make sure you book a strict time slot directly through the official site if you want to avoid losing your day to the queue
Unfortunately the line to enter was absolutely wild. Ended up leaving because I didn’t want to waste a day in Paris waiting in line.
Very convenient, whenever all official tickets are sold out ! And cheaper !! I will likely use it again.
Terrible ticket processing. We purchased months ago. Out ticket was for Anytime all day. We Received a voucher via e-mail, to he presented at time of arrival. UNFORTUNATELY This would still be a 2 hour wait outside the museum….there should be a better way! We could not connect w ticketing pool for a specific time request for specific ticket. I only gave a 1 star because I know the inside of this museum is fantastic. I only wish I could have seen Monet’s water Lilly murals. I am sad!
Overall there was s strong me great works to see but the main Monet experience is spoiled by people carrying out selfies without a concern for others.
Easy organized line Crowd control wasnt too busy Great exhibition and gift shop Tickets mailed ahead of time so the process was very smooth
There are a number of museums in Paris that require timed entry so this anytime ticket will NOT get you in. Fortunately I read additional material and from the museum website so I was only out the $27. Via tour should not be selling these. The museum itself was fabulous.
I thought my ticket would also give me a headset, the museum people said no. I could have been mistaken. Museum display was great- Monet's opening day of his special exhibit So glad I saw the Viator advertisement for the museum as the museum web site said they were sold out.
I booked a timeslot entry through Viator. At the museum, I was told they don't honor Viator's timeslots. This ruined my day. Staff also turned away another group holding Viator tickets. I spoke to another staff member, who told me this had happened to three more groups that day. All were from Viator. Viator ruined my day. Your day and your money don't need to be ruined by these incompetent people.
This is a ripoff, with these tickets I was required to stand in the same line as people with no ticket (multiple hours). Viator charges a hefty premium for these tickets and provided absolutely no value over showing up with no ticket.
Be careful to book a timed ticket. We booked a ticket without a specific time on the same day and we were never able to get in
I was a little worried buying a ticket through a third party, but it was an amazing experience. The museum was sold out due to the Pope’s visit the other days. I bought the ticket the night before after 10pm. When I woke up in the morning, my ticket had been emailed with an entry time for 9:30am. I had no issues at the museum with the emailed ticket. I would highly recommended using this third party. The museum is a must see and one of my bucket list items was achieved.
Beautiful museum, but not my top ranked. It’s worth the trip if you haven’t seen the Louvre or Musee D’Orsay. The entry could use a bit more organizing the lines were a little confusing, but since it was a rainy morning, a lot of people showed up and did not seem to know which line to get in. Even though we had a timed entry we stood in line for an hour. Not the museum’s fault, I understand. The Water Lilies by Monet exhibit was my favorite. Although the sun shining in would have made the experience even better. All in all it’s worth a look!
Disappointed that we weren’t told that you still need to wait in line for around 1 1/2 hours with this “anytime” ticket, but still very happy to be able to get into the Money exhibit..
Definitely buy these anytime tickets. We waltzed right past the long line. Also they had tickets even when the museum said sold out
Monet's Water lillies are displayed beautifully in two large rooms. Yet the rooms were so crowded that it was impossible to appreciate the art. And the Viator "audio tour" did not work.
Beautiful panels and collection on lower level. Also enjoyed watching people and their gigs out for their walks in the morning
