Tout guide was sweet, but had little training as a guide and imparted very little information unless we asked a question. The tour was a waste of money.

Itinerary
This private walking tour can be customized to meet your preferences. Approximate schedule is 10am-1pm finishing at some café where you can have a delicious French lunch (own expense). Suggested Itinerary: 10am Greet your friendly local guide in your hotel lobby and get prepared delve into a unique ambiance of Montmartre, one of the most beautiful areas in Paris which has captivated Bohemian artists since the Belle Époque and continues to draw steady crowds today.
Start your culture crawl at cozy Place des Abbesses, home to trendy cafés, stylish tea salons, and quaint boutiques. See the prettiest Art Nouveau metro station, catch a glimpse of simple brick-faced Saint-Jean-l’Evangeliste Church and gawk at unique I LOVE YOU WALL, covered with phrases “I love you” written in 311 languages!
Feast your eyes on white gleaming crown of the area – the outstanding Romanesque and Byzantine-style Sacre-Coeur Basilica created after the Franco-Prussian War as a symbol of hope. Be dazzled with its colorful stained-glass windows, intriguing mosaics, gorgeous wall-paintings and Grand Organ. If you fancy, climb to the Basilica’s Dome for the incredible 360-degree panoramic vistas over the city and bird-eye view of Paris’ most iconic landmarks like Notre-Dame, Centre Pompidou, and Opera House.
12pm Pound the pavement through picturesque Place du Tertre, once the main square of the medieval village before Montmartre became incorporated into Paris. Roam hundreds of colorful artist’s stalls peddling paintings, portraits, caricatures and other French souvenirs.
Pass by Montmartre Vineyards, one of the last remaining vineyards within Paris, learn about rich history of favorite bohemian haunts like Cabaret Lapin Agile and Moulin Rouge which met prominent artists like Picasso, Matisse, Modigliani and hear some fun facts about another symbol of the neighborhood - Montmartre windmills, immortalized in paintings by Van Gogh and Renoir.
1pm Your exciting journey concludes at historic Café des deux Moulins, which became extremely popular after it was shown in a famous French film “Amelie”. Admire atmospheric interiors and take in scenic city views while sipping a hot cappuccino or an icy cocktail before bidding farewell to your guide.

Mehrdad was our tour guide for Montmartre Walking Tour. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. We got the best view and insider information on the history of Paris. Not enough words to describe how great this tour was! We loved it so much we would have extended if we had more time.
This personal guided tour of the Montmartre section of France was very nice. Aliya was our personal guide and she did a wonderful job. The places we visited in Montmartre were beautiful. The Sacred Heart Basilica was one of the highlights the the tour. Aliya was super kind and helpful all along the way.
Seeing the cathedrals the art the beautiful views of paris the whole experience was great our guide was wonderful
Anastasia was the perfect tour guide. Shevwas very knowledgeable and custom packaged our tour. It was our pleasure to have her as our guide.
Mehrdad was a kind guide and went out of his way to give us many recommendations and links to various spots of interest in the city. We would give him 5 stars for his efforts and kindness. He is the only reason why Viator is given 3 stars. I find that the Viator Private tours are overpriced. We could have easily got the same experience out of our tour book. To be charged $278 to be walked around Montmarte is severely overpriced. We do not plan on using or recommending Viator to others.
I Lost a lot of money and Lost a lot of priceless time in Paris, No benefits at all!!!. Guide from Columbia was lost in Paris. We spend an hour in line to Sacré Coer so we said” thank you” and we made new plan ourselves. Not even visiting the basilique…. Disaster!!!
We had a wonderful tour with Jonathan. He was quite knowledgeable about both the area and history. Jonathan had wonderful stories and by the end of the tour we felt that we had a very good feel for Montmartre, its beauty and charm as well as its historical significance. I would recommend this tour, and Jonathan was great.
Anna was amazing! We have traveled to Paris many times and never experienced Montmartre! My daughter has a degree in Art History and was especially excited to see where Picasso and Van Gogh lived and worked . Anna’s knowledge of the history of the area was extensive and interesting. The Basillica of the Sacred Heart was a vantage point of greater Paris that we had never seen before and was just stunning! We had lunch at Anna’s recommendation and were surrounded by artists at work while we enjoyed an incredible meal! This tour is a must do for people who want a day seeing a unique area of Paris!!
Claire our guide was superb and very kind. Explanation on every step of the visit was very clear. She even managed to keep the kids focused and participate like immersed in the sites history. I would definitely do it again next time we are in Paris.
Veronica was wonderful! The tour was informative and included fascinating information and locations we never would have seen. Delightful and beautiful! Thank you it made our day perfect..
Weronika was great—super personable and knowledgeable. Very pleasant way to see Montmartre and get familiar with the district.
Claire was an amazing guide. We had such a wonderful morning. She even deviated the tour a little to show me the cemetery. This is a must do at Montmartre!
Such a nice person to spend time with! Took us via metro to Monmartre. It was so nice to have someone else lead us to each of the various sites on the hill. We chose not to go into the cathedral due to lines at the time. She let us go at our own pace and was very aware of our interests. We had a lovely lunch in the square and bought some art. I cant express what a nice person she was - I would have been happy to stay friends :)
As someone who lives in Montmartre herself, the guide was well versed on the history of the area, the famous artists who have lived there, and especially the interior of Sacré-Cœur. She is articulate, has a good sense of humor, and speaks excellent English. Thank you for a wonderful experience. Highly recommend.
The tour guide was a very nice lady. However, her grasp of the English language was very limited and she was constantly going onto her phone to get the words she needed. That could be managed if she didn't talk soooo quietly. We constantly had to have her repeat herself. We could not hear her and she spoke facing her feet instead of facing us. I didn't get much out of this tour.
I booked this as a private tour for my husband and I. It was expensive over 200 euros..and I have to say I was disappointed. It is very unfortunate, but the tour guide gets paid very little, and the tour company is the one that keeps most of the money. We took the metro from les halles and paid not only for our metro tickets, but also the metro ticket of our guide,,as it was stated that the guides are paid very little..one would expect on a private tour, expensive as it was, that we would not be paying for metro tickets. The guide was very disorganized, did not have a plan of what we were going to see. This could have been so much better, if the tour had involved some planning beforehand. After paying so much so we could have a private tour, we were incredibly disappointed. I would not recommend this tour
Notre guide Dorothée Lambert a été très professionnelle, compétente, enjouée, et ce fut un véritable plaisir de découvrir la face cachée de Montmartre en sa compagnie.
