We very much enjoyed our Montmartre food tasting tour. Getting to experience the area with a local guide made it special — her knowledge and guiding style were a real highlight. Along with the tastings, she shared lots of interesting history and stories about the neighborhood. The food was wonderful, and the whole experience was fantastic. We would gladly do it again.

Fun tour of the neighborhood. Great food. Anukool was an awesome guide. Very knowledgeable and well traveled. Three hours passed very quickly.
Maxime was a great guide. Took us to several places. I was too chicken to try escargot but my husband did and he liked it. The chocolate was delicious and we got some history too.
Our tour guide did not show up and we were unable to contact them. The customer service people did not agree to refund us our money. It was and is very frustrating and upsetting:
Tour was amazing. Anukool was an excellent guide and shared interesting tidbits about the neighborhood all night. The food was very good. We were able to try things we never would have thought to. Would definitely recommend.
Excellent walking tour of a part of Paris off the beaten path. Wear walking shoes and come ready to interact and explore.
Izabell was outstanding! We had a walking tour of the neighborhood and the food was amazing. A great way to spend the night
Met Robert our guide just outside the underground, we were delighted to be the only 2 on the tour. He ws very friendly and knowledgeable, we tried local chocolate, crepes, and quiche, all delicious 😋 we did this tour on a Monday which was a better day, no crowds like the weekend, totaly recommend this tour with Robert from Amsterdam.
Our walking tour with Iza in Paris was truly one of the highlights of our trip. From the very start, she was warm, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable about the city. It felt less like a tour and more like spending the day with an old friend, strolling through Paris and sharing great conversation. Each stop was delicious and thoughtfully chosen. Iza even took our dietary restrictions into account, which we appreciated so much. Her passion for Paris, its food, and its history shone through at every moment, making the experience both fun and meaningful. Iza is absolutely terrific, she brought the city to life for us and truly made our vacation unforgettable. Highly recommend!
Anukool was a great guide for this experience. He was friendly, professional and knowledgeable about the whole area. He took us to non-touristy places, some that have been in business for more than 100 years so you know they’re good. There was a good balance of savory and sweet dishes. Even though this was billed as 10 “tastings”, the portions were generous. Highly recommend Anukool and this delicious food tour.
I don't remember who the guide was (sorry) but she was lovely and very friendly. She walked us all around Montmartre and we ate our way through while also learning about the history of the neighborhood. Recommend!
Our guide Alpha was amazing. She was very much a local and she really knew the area we were in. it was one of the best food tours we have had, really can't say enough good things. We have to adapt to some of the needs in our family and she was great about it. Everyone had a wonderful time.
There were ten of us adults and we thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Elliot. His passion and knowledge of the foods we were tasting were so enjoyable. The tour was well paced and we all really loved to see this part of Paris!
This was an amazing experience! Thomas did an excellent job! I would recommend this tour to anyone interested in this beautiful area.
Great way to experience culture, history, and cuisine. Our guide was wonderful and very knowledgeable of the area.
The private experience was the way to go. My husband and I love taking food tours to eat local yummies but also learn about the local culture, and our guide Jerome (Jay) was so knowledgeable and insightful; we had some great conversations and we learned a lot. The food spots and choices were delicious, too. Highly recommend this tour, and Jay!
Alpha was a wonderful tour guide. We really enjoyed learning about Montmartre and tasting the food of the city. Highly recommend this tour.
Great food, Alpha was a great guide. She showed us the sights and gave us all the information about each and the food was delicious.
Olivia was great. Friendly knowledgeable and good to talk to. This was much more than a food tour. There was history art and local secrets. Even though we ended up at the top of the hill it wasn’t strenuous. The pace was just right and the food was good too
Our tour guide was Nella and she was excellent. She is a resident of Monte Martre knows most of the local merchants and food vendors. She know the back roads and the back stories of Monte Martel and will for a real glimpse of this important Paris neighborhood. Those taking the little train to the top near the Sacred Heart church, and the mass of humanity and trinket shops won’t get the real picture.
This was a great tour. Our guide Anakuul was awesome. Great food and drink choices. His knowledge and stories made it memorable. Even on a rainy day we had a great time. Highly recommend.
It was a great experience!!, very well planned and guided. The guide was very kind and knew every place and food at detail.
Livia was a lovely guide and she navigated us through the must-taste high points! Luckily, we happened to be there for the Montmartre wine festival and she advised us to partake in the festivities! Perhaps our best day of all! (Weather was beautiful that day too). Her tidbits of information and history added so much to the experience.
We loved our tour guide and everything he offered. From the food to the wine to the informational background on the different parts of the area. Highly recommend!
Lovely walking food tour with a knowledgeable local host. It’s a private tour so you are able to cater it to your needs, which was helpful to my parents slower pace.
Maxime, our guide, was the best! Lots of good food and history! Montmartre, in Paris, is a wonderful place to find artists and great food.
Andrea was like a friend sharing a few hours of what the locals might do in Montmartre on a Sunday evening (5-8 pm). Walking up the hill, avoiding the stairs, we strolled along the vibrant streets. We stopped at a wonderful cafe with a nice view of Paris. We enjoyed a bottle of Bourgogne along with a charcuterie board with delicious cheeses and meats, and a crusty, traditional, baguette. Andrea happily blended in some things we wanted to do, like going to see the Wall of Love, as we came down from seeing the Basilica. And we ended with another bottle of wine (a Brouilly) and our request to have some French Onion soup ;-) It turns out that Andrea has lived and worked in the USA (NYC and California). With an eye towards history, he grew to love and admire the spirit of the freedom of the USA breaking away from England, but also what it did for the whole world. As I said, being on a walking tour with Andrea was more like meeting a friend who shared the joys of his city, and how to enjoy a relaxed time in a cafe chatting and drinking wine.
Our group of four had a fantastic experience with Nella on a beautiful Sunday in Montmartre. She made us feel welcome and truly provided a memorable experience. We couldn't have asked for more. The tastings were quite amazing! We all enjoyed and highly recommend!
My sister and I booked this food tour to get a real sense of Montmartre. And what a blast we had. Not only due to the picturesque area of Montmartre itself but also due to our amazing tour guide Alpha. Being born Parisian she knows the area and its every corner by heart. We enjoyed both the food she picked for us and her lovely and down-to-earth personality as well. Thanks again for the experience.
This was one of the highlights of our trip! Our guide Jrme (Jay) was very fun and knowledgeable about the Montmartre district . We saw all of the places that were on my list of must see plus tried delicious local treats. Hughly recommend, especially on your first day but any day would be great!
The tour operator never showed. I called and texted. No answer. Very disappointing to have this experience. I will rethink using Viator in the future. We arrived early and waited and waited.
The Tour with Olivia was great, as we saw a lot of different areas around Montmartre without seeing a lot of the crowded Tourist places.
This was one of the highlights of our trip to France, Olivia! Thanks for sharing a wonderful afternoon with us. Everything about the tour was fantastic! Best of luck to you.
We spent 10 days in France and 5 of those in Paris. I asked my daughters for their favorite part of our vacation and they said "our tour of Montmartre with Olivia". I think that says it all. Good luck, Olivia. Thanks!
Our guide was kind, funny, knowledgeable and accommodating. The walk through Montmartre was beautiful and it was nice to have someone help you select interesting bites. This was a highlight of our trip!
Anukool gets high marks for both communication and local knowledge. I accidentally booked my tour for the wrong day and Anukool couldn’t have been more gracious or understanding. When we finally did get to do the tour, he was friendly, generous, and extremely knowledgeable about the area (Montmartre), its history, and the local food scene. My wife and I were a bit worried at first that we’d leave hungry but that was decidedly not the case. All in all, I would definitely recommend this tour with Anukool.
With the wonderfully charming Maxime as our guide, we happily tasted our way through Montmartre. Chocolate, quiche, the best cream puff’s I’ve ever had and, a relaxing wine a cheese session to end (and so much more in between). We enjoyed this one-on-one with a true local, learning a bit about each stop. If you’re looking for delicious food and a walk and talk in true local fashion, this is your activity.
Maxime is incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and personable. He was also very thoughtful, inquiring about food sensitivities, preferences, etc. The food we ate was amazing and we ended the day quite delighted (and full). Maxime also went through Montmartre history with us at the end of the day. Seeing a famous and historic neighborhood through its food was wonderful and a highlight of our trip.
We had a wonderful food tour with our guide Maxime , who was very knowledgeable about the specialties of Parisian food and interesting too . We got lost in Paris and were late for the tour but Maxime went out of his way to accommodate us , for which we are very thankful . All in all we had a great evening in montmartre. A must if you are a foodie . Thank you Maxime
Alpha looked after us so well, is a fountain of information on Paris. Everything was managed in a relaxed and fun way. Cannot recommend enough!
We had a wonderful experience touring with Alpha in Montmarte. She was very knowledgeable of the area and took us to great spots. Highly recommend!
Food was great, however our private group was left disappointed with overall experience. First of all, our guide, Maxime, was late. His English was not something you would expect from a guide. As mentioned, food was delicious, however the order of the whole tour was somewhat not right. The tour started with a dessert, then quiche, then oysters, macaroons, then crepes, then red wine, cheese and ham. Stomach did not felt well after this experience. You might think that this is a local way to eat, but is it really? Moreover, one of the places that we were supposed to visit was closed. Plan B was arranged on the spot, however not right away. Taking into account the fee for this private tour, the expectations were not met - lack of organization.
Thank you to Alpha for the tour of Montmartre, sharing the local history & stories with us, and especially her knowledge of the tastiest Parisian food! Our review simply can’t express all the flavors Alpha helped us experience! From the tastiest quiche to the unbelievable flavors of the macarons at Pierre Herme, it truly was a wonderful tour and unforgettable experience! Merci Alpha!!!
Alpha is born and raised in the area we toured, which made it a lot of fun. She took us some wonderful places to enjoy the sweet and the savory. She’s extremely knowledgeable of the food in the area as well as the history, which was a bonus. Highly recommend Alpha!!!
Great tour with Anukool. We traveled around Europe for three weeks, and he was our best tour guide. The food was excellent, area lovely and he had such great knowledge of area and Paris in general that he shared. I wish we had been able to book another tour with him. He really has a passion for history and the city. He made it so much more interesting. He also gave some tips for other areas we were visiting.
Outstanding experience. Olivia, my tour guide, brought the neighborhood to life. The food was generous and delicious.
A fun last night in Paris! We tasted French cuisine while listening to Maxime describe the history of these local delicacies.
We had such a nice food tour of Montmarte with Bibiana. She was so sweet and knowledgeable and loved sharing delicious food. We ate so many incredible things and learned so much! She was great with the kids. We would certainly tour around with Bibiana again!
Loved the local history and look into Parisian life. The guide was informative and friendly. The stops were a little bread/dessert heavy (only 2 savory stops). But everything was delicious & fascinating.
My wife and I were looking for a fun and unique experience in Paris, and this tasting tour with Olivia was amazing. Definitely come hungry! We were expecting just small bites throughout the tour, but we had enough to fill our stomachs (and then some) during the three hours we spent walking throughout Montmartre. It was the perfect way to enjoy a variety of foods during the lunch hour. Olivia took us to a wide variety of restaurants, coffee bars, patisseries, boulangeries, fromageres and creperies, all of which served a delicious sample of all the amazing food that France has to offer. While the food was incredible, what added to the experience was Olivia's knowledge of Montmartre and the background of Parisian food, which made the tour so much more immersive. We felt right at home with Olivia, who navigated the streets of Montmartre and interacted with all of the vendors as a true local who lives there on a daily basis. Olivia was incredibly insightful and engaged throughout, taking time to answer all of our questions (as well as asking some of her own questions to us) and encouraged us to interact with the vendors as well. We were able to take our time to thoroughly enjoy the experience...never feeling rushed. Our only regret was having to leave Olivia after the (short) three hours were over. We highly recommend a tasting tour like this, and if you have an opportunity to do one in Montmartre, you won't regret having Olivia show you around!
