Return
- The tour ends at the main square of Montmartre, Place du Tertre, with its painters and caricaturists. All around there you can find many restaurants and cafés for eating or having a rest after our tour.
Itinerary
You will visit one of the largest churches in Paris with the biggest fresco on its walls (480 m2) and an impressive cupola. After the visit enjoy a great view from the top of the hill Montmartre all over Paris.
You will see (from outside) the worldwide most famous cabaret and we will tell you the history behind the emblem of the Moulin Rouge - a red windmill. A legendary place where first the French Cancan was introduced to the Parisian public.
We walk on the steps of the great artists, painters and writers you lived in this area at the end of the 19th and beginning of 20th century: Monet, Manet, Van Gogh, Pisarro, Rodin, Picasso, Zola and many others. Discover the places were they used to go out and where they lived and many thrilling stories about their lives.
We show you the most famous red light district in Paris with its cafés, cabarets, sex shops and many hidden pearls from the past when it was home to painters and writers.
The countryside in Paris: this square kept the bucolic charms from the past centuries: only a few hundred meters away from the nightlife at Pigalle, you can find a calm village with vineyards, bocce-fields and hidden parks.

Our guide, Marina, was very knowledgeable and entertaining. We learned so much about the area and its history. It was just enough time to cover all the highlights of the area. I would highly recommend this tour.
Sasha was great guide and minimized amount of stairs for climbing up to bascillca...great tour! Also gave good recommendations for more touring/lunch
Great knowledge about the area, conversational and overall a fun experience. Hike wasn’t too overwhelming and in general loved the history of the area.
Sasha was a wonderful tour guide who made the tour personal, fun and very interesting. He loves to talk about the Montemartre area, its history and its characters. There is so much to see and learn and Sasha is Montemartre’s perfect ambassador. Thank you Arna and Quentin
Marina was the best guide we had in Paris this week. She has fabulous energy, is passionate about the history of the place, and truly takes the time showing every corner of the place. She is also super funny which makes the trip very enjoyable
Marina was awesome. She walked us through Montmarte and provided history on all the sites. We learned so much about this part of Paris and the creative people who lived there hundreds of years ago. Highly recommend this “artsy” tour with its beautiful architecture and rich history.
Marina was lovely! My daughter and I had an amazing, engaging, informative tour of Montmartre. She had a ton of funny, spooky, intriguing stories about the area and was enthusiastic about it all! She did not miss a beat and covered everything and anything we could possibly have wanted to know. I’d highly recommend Marina for your tour - you won’t be disappointed.
Wear comfortable shoes to walk on cobblestone. Tour guide was very good and knowledgeable. Be prepared to walk a lot up and down streets.
Our tour guide Sache was excellent! Extremely knowledgeable, personable and funny. He went out of his way to be accommodating to everyone on our tour (there were some elders that needed a slower pace), asking if anyone needed a break to sit or making sure we stood in the shade! Great tour to get history of Montmartre and Paris in general. Lots of walking up and down the hills of Montmartre which was a great way to learn about this area!! Don't miss this!
Amazing tour and guide. Our guide, Marina was exceptional. Would highly recommend.
Montmartre is an area with everything. It has to be visited. But you really need a good guide and we had one.
Our tour guide, Max was exceptional. Knowledgeable, patient, was able to connect many dots, weave in all our questions. He even extended his availability so that we could get a full inside tour of the Sacre Couer. Highly recommended - especially if Max can be your guide
Our guide Nikita was excellent and very informative and knowledgeable. He explained everything in great detail and all of our questions.
Super fun and interesting Sunday morning! Marina was an engaging and informative tour guide. Despite the very hot weather, the tour was comfortable. We saw some cool spots in Montmarte and learned a bit of interesting history as well. Highly recommend!
Thoroughly enjoyed our Montmatre Tour with Nikita. It was well researched and covered a lovely historical part of Paris . As we strolled though a variety of interesting side streets and parks he shared interesting and often amusing anecdotes which brought the history of the times and artists to life.
Marina is the greatest! Great tour and very interesting part of the city . Small group and Marina was very knowledgeable and very entertaining!
Marina was excellant, she was very knowledgeable about the area and introduced us to the history and culture. We would highly recommend her to anyone looking to tour this area.
Max, our guide was very friendly and informative. Highly recommend. Highly knowledgeable and really helped with the kids.
The trip is fun, made more fun by Marina, our guide. She kept the group informed and entertained. Would highly recommend Marina and the tour.
A relaxed, fun and informed walk with a sweet and friendly tour guide. Learned a lot and enjoyed every minute!
We did this activity as a small group, so there were only four of us plus the guide. She did a good job, but was a few minutes late so it was a bit confusing if we were located in the correct place to meet. Interesting tour, lots of great personalized stories to the area, but it was a LOT more walking uphill than I anticipated, even after reading all the fine print. I used a walking stick and often struggled to keep up- just something to remember when touring this area of Paris! Great views though!!
I really enjoyed our tour of the town of Montmartre with my husband and 2 other who were in our small group. Our guide Nikita was a great knowledgeable local who gave us great history and background of the area and how it fit into the overall country. We would walk a bit then stop, and felt the journey pass easily. Thankfully the uphill portion was broken into parts. The trip ended at the top of the hill in front of church. There was no guided interior tour. The line to get into the interior was long and we didn't want to do that. I would recommend you use the toilet before the tour starts and at the top there was a public toilet available. So many cafes and shopping to enjoy on your way down the hill at your leisure.
This is a tour and a very busy area of Montmartre. There were 13 people in our group we thought that was at least 3 too many. As a result, it was difficult to hear the tour guide and to follow her on the trip. We found that we backtracked a number of times to see various things on the way up to the Basilica. As a result, it made the challenging climb even more difficult. Not for the faint of heart.
Max was an outstanding tour guide! He was very knowledgeable and led us at a perfect pace - we really enjoyed it !
Our Guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. Did a great job especially since there wasn't anyone else with us so he was very attentive.
Sache from My Super Tour did a great job, showing us parts of this area we would have never discovered on our own. So great to hear about the history of this interesting place. Went into the Sacre-Coeur Basilica on our own. We did a lot of walking, but took many breaks.
The other tour guests didn't show, so we had Marina all to ourselves. She was knowledgeable and pleasant. She answered all kinds of questions that we asked as we learned about the history of Montmartre. It was a wonderful way to be immersed in the area!
Our guide Nikiti was great! Lots of great information about the town of Montmartre and its history. Great walking tour!
Amazing and knowledgeable tour guide. Very friendly and accommodating and helpful to learn about the history of Paris. I highly recommend taking this tour.
Sacha was a perfect guide for our first visit to Montemarte! Very knowledgeable about the neighborhood’s history and current culture. Also was able to out into context how it related to Paris history as a whole. Best of all, he was personable, friendly and engaging. Recommend!
Amazing experience, very interesting stories from our guide
Nikita was a great guide. This is a 2 hr walking tour of the Montmartre neighborhood and Sacre Coeur (outside only). Nikita was very knowledgeable and friendly.
We loved our guide Max! He has a lot of warmth and humor, as well as a masters degree in history. He knows everything about the area, and has many great stories to tell.
We loved our walking tour, and especially our guide Max, who has both a great sense of humor and a masters degree in history. He knows everything about the area, as well as many fascinating and sometimes hilarious stories behind what he showed us. ❤️
Great personalized walking tour of an incredible area of Paris! Our guide, Sasha, was a local so very knowledgeable and personable. Highly recommend !!!
We met Sacha on time. He is lovely guy and very knowledgeable, explaining many points of interest and History. He came across as being very passionate about his job and the area of Montmartre. He took us to some quiet and interesting areas.
Montmartre is absolutely beautiful. Highly recommend to anyone. Because the tour is on foot and the area is quite hilly, good footwear is a must. Our guide, Sasha, was quite knowledgeable about the history of the place, famous artists who called it home, and fun facts about the Moulin Rouge. Gorgeous views of the city from the top of the hill in front of the Basilica!
We had an outstanding tour with Sacha!! He was knowledgeable, fun, and able to give a memorable tour of Montmartre despite freezing cold weather! We strongly recommend him and this tour.
Our guide Sacha was awesome! Learned so much about history, art and culture. Be prepared for LOTS of walking but also lots of fun!
It was entertaining and full of interesting bits of information about the area. Be prepared for some level of activity, including going up and down fairly steep hills.
He was very informative and thorough in his explanation of the verious sites. I loved it. Eventhough we were late he was very forgiving
This was just an exceptional tour. Sasha our guide was just fantastic in his knowledge and understanding of Montmarte. This is definitely a tour to put on anybody’s bucket list!!
Tour guide. Sacha. We enjoyed this tour thoroughly. It was well presented with a wealth of information presented in an interesting manner from the beginning to end. I recommend this tour.
Katrina was a great tour guide. She was enthusiastic and really knows her stuff. Montmarte itself is also a great place in paris to visit
Max was amazing! He provided all kinds of interesting facts every step along the way of our tour! We highly recommend this tour!
A lot of climbing up hill. Arrange it for early in the day so you enjoy it during the daylight hours. Zach’s was a very good guide but overwhelmed us with information. More detail than we needed.
Sasha was not only very informative, but also very funny. We really enjoyed our tour with him and highly recommend! Did he say to go this way?
Sasha was an excellent guide. He has a lot of local knowledge and told many interesting stories. I highly recommend this tour.
Enjoyed listening to Max. Very friendly polite. Beautiful tour being at the highest point in Paris..
