The tour guide was late. We had a van that was too small for the passengers. I was very cramped and keep bumping into him. I could not hear our tour guide speak, he had a soft voice and he had a hard time speaking english. He was friendly and tried to answer my questions.

Absolutely great experience with Vivien as our driver, taking us safely from Paris to Mont Saint-Michel. He's a great driver, safe and courteous. Highly recommended.
Had a magical day at the abbey. It’s a long day but absolutely worth it. Recommend including the guided tour, the tablets are super modern and show you illustrations of rooms and items through the years. Transfer out was smooth, small group van, everyone was quiet and considerate. We stopped for coffee and baked goods on half way there and half way back.
Beautiful. Stunning. History. Lots and lots of stairs so not for the weak. Definitely worth the money and effort.
We were cancelled and no advance notification. With prompting, I quickly arranged to be out on another Normandy tour which was well run. Was told not enough people was a tour guide in training was scheduled. The secondary vendor blamed Viator.. either way lack of communication in a difficult environment is difficult. I managed to get the mini van to turn around and come pick us up to save the day as we book a full day tour. Sad but I felt price of fuel was the deciding factor. We did enjoy cathedrals
This made the trip and visit to Mont St. Michel seamless and hassle-free! No need to figure anything out on your own, except how you go about the included self-guided audio tour, where to eat for lunch, and shopping. We went on a Saturday of a holiday weekend so it was PACKED!
Serge, tour guide. Was the greatest. He shared his immense knowledge with us. He was very attentive to all our needs. He was truly caring. In addition he was a great safe driver.
Mont St Michel had been on my bucket list for years and it doesn't disappoint. It's a full day trip but well worth the time. Definitely a must see if you're in France!
Such a lovely experience. Be prepared for a long day, but it’s totally worth it. Roughly 14 hour day, about 4 hour drive to the Abbey. Time at the Abbey was about 4 1/2 hours, plenty of time to explore, shop, and lunch. Andres was tremendous, explaining what to expect for the day. Amazing experience to check off of your bucket list. Highly recommended.
We had a fabulous day with our guide, Roland! He was prompt, friendly and gracious! It was a long drive but that was to be expected. Roland suggested a lovely restaurant, La Ferme Saint Michel, and made reservations for us. Our meal was fantastic! Then we went on to the Abbey. It was absolutely breathtaking! It was an amazing day!!
Going to Mont St Michel was really worth it!! The abbey is amazing to see. Expect at least 4 hrs back and forth from Paris just for travel time. Our guide, Roland, is very knowledgeable. He knows the points of interests along the way and explained the history of the abbey and the surrounding community. Well worth it!!
This was an unbelievable experience! Serge was an outstanding guide and provided us with many historical details and charming company.
We traveled from Paris to Mt Saint Mitchel by van and our guide’s name were Nicolas and Natie, the trip consisted of a 3 hours drive from Paris to reach the location on the west coast of the country. Both of them kept us entertained and safe during the trip. In addition, they suggested where to eat once we arrived. They had a great sense of humor and made us laugh. Without a doubt we recommend the Team from France Tourisme the contractor provided via Viator. Great unforgettable experiencia.
It was such an amazing experience! SB was such an amazing tour guide! He made the trip very pleasant and informative I felt like I learned a lot about Paris
Long drive to see an outstanding place in history. Jean Baptiste was an excellent driver and tour guide. Well worth the trip to get there and back. He even showed us the Eiffel Tower sparkling!
Best tour guide we’ve ever had anywhere, Roland G you were sensational. Mont St Michel was spectacular, well worth the 13de round trip.
Long day but delightful! Phillips was very accommodating and interesting. We enjoyed Mont St Michel and lunch afterwards.
Mont St Michel is spectacular to experience. It is so unique. We really only had a driver not a guide as we had on other Viator tours. Once we arrived we were on our own to explore. That is the reason for only 4 stars. You could get audio recording guides at the abbey if you want. There are many steps to climb to get to the top of the abbey but once you get there the view is spectacular. The village below has places to eat and shop. It was a highlight of our time in France.
It is a unique and worthwhile experience. Mont St. Michel is very pretty, like a shining jewel sitting on a glossy mirror. My 11-year old son said the narrow alley inside looks like Diagon Valley in Harry Potter, and Hayao Miyazaki was perhaps inspired by it to create the mesmerizing film Castle in the Sky. It is a long drive from Paris, though, about 4 hours one way. Our guide Simon was friendly, considerate and knowledgeable. He made the trip more fun by introducing the landmark buildings in Paris while driving past them, and telling us the history of the Abbey in St Michel, as well as the unique culture of Normandy. I especially appreciate that he spoke English the whole way for our sake while other passengers in the car all understand French. My son and I were the only ones who don’t speak French. We thank Simon and the fellow tourists for a wonderful trip.
Fantastic day, definitely worth the crazy long drive. Guide was great. You won't have time to do everything so will have to prioritise what's most important to you!
Visiting Mont Saint-Michel was magical, but what truly made the day special was our guide, Simon. He was knowledgeable, kind, and genuinely passionate about the history of the place. He kept everything organized and engaging from start to finish. We learned so much and felt well cared for the entire time. Simon’s insights brought the abbey and its surroundings to life. I highly recommend this tour — and if you’re lucky enough to have Simon as your guide, you're in for an amazing day.
Great trip. Very long car ride but the skip the line tickets are a must. Excellent tour guide. Our tour guide helped us get inside quickly and avoid the quick sand outside (dangerous).
Beautiful place. Worth going to. Our tour guide/driver was amazing. His name is Jean Batiste. Ask for him if possible because he was great. Great driver also.
We experienced a very enjoyable safe ride to Mont Saint Michel with our guide Remy. The tour was very good with a lovely relaxing lunch at a cafe overlooking tidal flats
Great experience. Guide was friendly and knowledgeable. Mont St Michel is beautiful. Had a lovely lunch in town
This was extremely worth a big day out. Knowledgable guide who was able to show us more than the guidebook. Safe and comfortable trip and took all the worry away from getting there on our own.
This guided tour takes all day but is absolutely worth it. Mont St Michelle was on my bucket list and our guide Michel was great. He had so much great history to share. We stopped along the way for gas and coffee. We ride in a small van with 5 of us total and the guides.
The trip took the whole day but it was really worth it. When we arrived to Mount Michel we really appreciated ; it was amazing. The scenery is a once in a lifetime. A must do while in Paris!!!
Loved the drive to Mont St Michel seeing the countryside was beautiful. Mont St Michel site was wonderful but the hundreds of steps to climb became very hard to traverse. Florian, our guide, was excellent.
This was one of the most breathtakingly experiences we did outside of Paris. I highly recommend booking this experience if you want something difference or if this has been on your bucket list of things you want to see in your life. Felipè our tour guide and driver was excellent and very nice and accommodating! What people don’t realize is that booking this experience you have a driver and tour guide taking you to Mont St. Michel itself without having to figure it out yourself on how to get there (transportation wise) because it is in the French countryside, and about 3-4 hours outside of Paris. The meeting point is across the Louvre museum, accessible by Metro or by taxi or G7 (Paris’ version of Uber)
Comfortable ride to Mont St Michel. There was a rest room stop halfway. We had about 4 hours to explore the abbey which we found was enough time. Our guide was professional and friendly.
Very safe driver. He drove four hours in each direction and I felt very secure and even slept on the way. Mont. St. MICHEL has been on my bucket list and so happy we were able to visit this amazing place. Truly was above my expectations.
Visiting Mt St Michel was a dream. Its like you are traveling back in time. Everything was very organized and always on time. We traveled with a 2 yr old baby and they provided a car seat and were super nice to the baby and everyone else. Be ready to climb some stairs!
Mont Saint Michel is beautiful and the video and audio guide included in the Abbey tour was really informative and useful. Our guide, Nicholas, shared with us various information not just about Mont Saint Michel but also fun facts about Paris.
Meeting location was easy to find and walkable distance from the hotel behind the Louvre Museum on Rue de Rivoli and Louvre lane. (Whilst other tours require to catch a train to other further locations west or near eiffel tower.) Minivan driver is a friendly and very calm cool guy who was very easy to talk to and made sure everyone was ok throughout the trip. I recommend this tour. And the others who joined (mostly spanish) were all very nice people. We sat quietly in the van throughout the trip. One toilet break each way was also great as the drive was 4 hours each way. Snow and rain but we made it to and back! Thank you to our great driver!
Amazing driver !!!!! 4 hours in a very comfortable van then good information upon entry to the abbey. The abbey audio guide is excellent - loves the ability to see what the abbey looked like in the 13th century. Lunch is on you but guide had good recommendations! Would greatly recommend
Meeting at a 7 am in a xold day when the driver arrived at 7:28. No one to answer calls or texts. I think our driver was sick. The company should have more than one driver in case of sickness. Everything else was good.
The Abbey was amazing and we loved seeing the monumental size of the building. The architecture and structures were incredible and impressive. The multitude of passages and stairways was a challenge to navigate but we did it!! The gray, rainy day underlined the austerity of the building. Our driver was kind enough to take us there and collect us after the tour. He gave us our admission tickets; no mention of audio guides, cider or museum. There was no history setting as we drove or interesting anecdotes afterwards. He privately chatted with the person on the front seat. It was raining and wet, heavy traffic and dark and I understand that he needed to concentrate on driving. So, we got there, received tickets, stood in line, saw the Abbey, walked back, drove. For a nice chunk of change. Something is missing.
The trip was very well organized. To start with, the meeting point at the agency address is literally at the exit of the Louvre station. So easy to find. Our amazing guide Nicolas arrived ahead of time, and we got on the minibus right at 7h30am. The minibus was comfy. Nicolas made sure to show us and present to us all the details about each place we passed through while on the road starting from Paris up till the majestic Mont Saint Michel. We took then a shuttle to the place and Nicolas gave us the ticket and a map of the place, we passed straight through the fast track (0 waiting time). He then gave us the instruction where and when to meet once we've done the tour in the village. The best part of this tour is that you can visit it at your own pace. Excellent recommendations for the food tasting, wine and shops. He met us right on time at the meeting point. We headed back to Paris and arrived right to the start point of the journey. It was a MARVELLOUS experience. I highly recommend it for a one day escape from Paris.
Our guide was kind, patient and shared a great deal of interesting information throughout our journey. In addition, he was out going and funny.
This was a great trip that checked off a bucket list item. We visited in early October and had a beautiful day with a blue sky and warm but not hot temperature. My only recommendation is that if you are older with a "bad knee" or arthritic hips, do NOT forget to bring hiking poles. I brought mine with me and they enabled me to successfully navigate the steep path and many stairs that did not have handrails. I suggest the tour operator offer guests the opportunity to rent these because everyone does not own them or have the ability to put them into carry on luggage.
First, the visit to Mont St Michel was amazing!! Our guide/driver was so nice, knowledgeable and accommodating. My rating was based on the uncomfortable minivan. There were 8 guests packed into the vehicle, the front should only hold 1 guest + driver. There were a larger/taller guests that made it stressful. You should have 12 passenger vehicles to accommodate 8 people to give some space to breathe and be comfortable on the longer tours. It also did not help that there were 2 unpleasant and inconsiderate passengers, not your fault. Could not wait til tour was over.
Nice place. Too far from Paris. The vehicle was a POS. Passengers were late. Though a very nice man, the driver drove too fast and swerved a lot, thereby jostling the passengers. No AC. No floor coverings. Dented vehicle. No PA system. No good. Tje Mt St Michel was great though we did know we had to climb 900 steps Loved the site. Hated the drive.
The walk across the causeway up to the mont on what turned out to be a beautiful day was priceless. Nicolas, the tour guide was friendly and informative along the 4 hour ride there so we had some history and anecdotes about the abbey and town. He was equally great on the 4 hour ride home answering questions about all things France and engaging us on our experiences from all over. Loved this day trip!!
August Yes Europe is on holiday too, so the Mont between 1030- 1700Hrs was bursting at the seams. We found we still enjoyed this beautiful location early evening Cooler and less crowded. Definitely worth staying overnight as we did after breakfast a good time to walk round to take in the detail of the place. August also as we found out is breeding season for seagulls so be prepared for a rude awakening come first light. Yes i would go again but a different time of year to see the place in a different light.
I was finally able to experience Mont St Michel, along with my husband and a friend. First glimpse was when we were about 10 miles away. There it was, sitting in the blue water. As we got closer you could see how truly massive this structure is. That concept was reaffirmed as we walked up the 350 steps. Our guide was wonderful and attentive to each person and their particular needs. Excellent experience.
We had a comfortable 4 hour trip to Mont St Michel with our guide, Jean-Pierre. He was very friendly and helpful. We had plenty on time to explore the monestary and the surrounding town. It was a beautiful day!
Rolland was very Nice , patient and friendly ! Its a long Day but we felt he made the best out of it . He also is a very smooth driver , very careful and thoughtful!
This was a great outing from Paris. The abbey is truly amazing to see and to learn the history. I wish we had known that they did guided tours on the island as it would have gotten us to places we were not allowed. Our guide was more of a driver than guide and we would have liked more information than he was able to provide. He was extremely nice and a very safe driver.
What a beautiful day!! Mount St Michel is like a little fairytale🧚🏼♀️city. 🏰 Fascinating experience!
