Mont Saint-michel Small-group By Minivan From Paris With Calvados

This is a unique site, well worth the journey (day trip from Paris). We greatly appreciated our guide Marie and our driver Aslan. Highly recommend this!

Fabulous experience with our driver Yuni. we knew it would be a long day but well worth the beautiful scenic drive. Yuni. Was very considerate all day and a conscientious safe driver. He helped us every way he could to be comfortable and enjoy the day in his comfortable clean Mercedes van. Mount Saint Michelle had many visitors, but he helped us through the tram traffic and getting to our tour on the top where the Abbey is located. He exceeded our expectations taking care of us. Visiting the Pere Magliore apple brandy distillery was an added exceptional bonus – – interesting, educational, and enjoyable. Mount Saint Michelle is an absolute must see if you come to France. And this was the perfect way to see it.

August is a very busy tourist month, so as we expect it was very crowded. It was difficult to walk along the narrow streets. Also since it’s a medieval city, there are many steps with no handrails. Young people had no difficulties, but we are seniors, so we brought our hiking sticks which were helpful. None of this is a reflection on the tour company. The day before our trip we received a message from the tour company notifying us that we were the only people signed up for the “tour” and we had options to continue for an additional 85 euros each, go on a different tour or cancel with a full refund. Reluctantly we opted to pay the extra euros with the expectation that this would mean we would have a more individual experience. Our guide Roman was courteous and efficiently transported us to and from our destination safely. However, I would not in any way consider him a tour guide. He was a driver. He gave us no information along the way of our 4 hour each way drive. There were no explanations of what we were seeing along the way or what to expect when we arrived. We tried to make conversation with him, but he often didn’t understand us and didn’t really communicate. After about an hour we just settled in and traveled in relative silence. To be fair he did make sure we arrived at our tour for the Abby on time and he helped us navigate the crowds along the way. His English was only fair (but much better than my French) so we didn’t always understand what was happening when he indicated we should follow him. Again in fairness to Roman, it was a very long day of driving and he was always pleasant good spirited. Maybe I misunderstood what this “tour” encompassed. We hoped for an informative experience which we got once we arrive at the guided tour of the Abby. If you are looking for transport to Mont Saint-Michel with a prepay ticket to a tour of the Abby, this is for you.

Our driver and guide were great. Our driver was very accommodating for our comfort breaks. Our guide was very friendly and informative.

This trip was too long by car for one day. I would rather have spent my time closer to Paris on a different tour. Mt. Saint. Michele felt very touristy and overcrowded. It was beautiful from a distance. There was no farm in the village. It felt like an amusement park. We did not enjoy this tour. Our driver was very nice and pleasant.

Fine the calvados region, Christian Drouin experience with some tastings from 2 years to 25yers and Mont Saint-Michel and its Bay.

It was a much longer ride to Mont Saint Michel than I expected. We didn’t stop for meals and getting back after 10 PM with no substance is not good for anyone. The actual Mont Saint Michel is definitely worth going to see once in a life time activity. Please make your customers understand that there are NO accommodations for anyone with knee, hips and feet and balance issues- over 609 steep steps. Then your walking up and down steep steps throughout the inside of the Abbey on uneven stone floors and the stairs with absolutely no handrails.

Our driver was wonderful! Very good tour! Be sure you are able to do quite a lot of steps. Not easy but worth the effort

What an amazing place to visit The tour was fast. Needed more time to enjoy the place. The electricity in the city went out. The restaurant could not cook.

We enjoyed this tour very much. We were thankful for the option of hotel pick up and drop off. It was a long day but we were glad we made the trip. It’s certainly worth seeing! Rusty, our driver and guide, was thoughtful, punctual and informative. He was very communicative and made sure we understood where to meet, where to go, and all the info that we needed for our trip. We stopped for Calvados tasting at a beautiful farm and it helped to break up the trip there. Rusty also made sure we had breaks for the restroom there and back. The van was clean and Rusty had water for each of us. We definitely recommend this day trip from Paris!!

Rusty was awesome! The drive was long but we stopped regularly for bathroom breaks, and the vehicle was very comfortable with plenty of room for my husband’s 6 foot height. There was water provided and the mini van was air conditioned. The cider tour was a lot of fun.

Rustam was an amazing driver and tour guide, making the day a breeze and ensuring we felt taken care of at all times. The drive from Paris is substantial but absolutely worth it, and the break for the calvados tasting was fantastic. I would absolutely recommend this trip to anyone who is keen to check out Mont Saint Michel.

The whole trip was wonderful as I expected. Although, I was disappointed that the ebb & flow of the tides don’t happen as before, the place is still mesmerizing. Kudos to our wonderful guide, Valerie & driver, Roman!

We was waiting the minivan for a while at 7:30 in the morning on Oct 22, 2022 at 10 Pl. de l'Opéra, Paris. However, the car didn’t come. I called the agent. They said the trip has been cancelled. They sent a message to me the day before leaving. Unfortunately, I didn’t received. I wondered the message was sent. 5 minutes after my call, I received the message. It's disappointed. My travel schedule was disrupted. I will not book this kind of trip again.

Fabulous trip with Jane and partner. Prompt, courteous, knowledgeable, very comfortable ride. We had a great time and will certainly use them again when we find ourselves in need of their services. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone

Spotless Mercedes minivan with Cyrus on time to our pick up point and a great driver and knowledgeable guide. We spent all afternoon exploring the abbey we took naps on the return drive which helped offset such a distance for a day trip.

Our guide was quite late picking us up in the morning. The minivan was comfortable and the size of our group was 8 including the guide. This was one of two tours I was most looking forward to (out of a total of 13 booked) It was very crowded and our guide had some difficulty keeping track of us. Unfortunately half our group met at the wrong place after trying to find some lunch resulting in our tour being delayed about 20 minutes until we could gather together. The tour through the abbey was absolutely amazing. We were given recordings we could listen to in each room and learn some of the history and go through it on our own. Although the Calvados tasting was interesting and the guided tour and video presentation were excellent; I would have preferred to just go to the Mont Sant-Michel and have a bit more time there. It was about a 3 1/2 hour drive each way. I was a little disappointed with this tour. Not with the places to see but with the crowdedness and difficulty in getting lunch as well as limited time to see everything.

Operator cancelled the day before the excursion with no option to reschedule. I have not yet received a refund.

We went on a 1 day trip from Paris in a Mercedes’ minivan with our fantastic guide Jane and her driver husband. We had a Calvados Tour on our way to MSM and a brief stop at a gas station on the way back. We had 4 hours at Mont Saint Michel. For extra euros the minivan picked us up and dropped us off at our hotel. I would do this trip again.

We booked this tour. The booking was confirmed and fully paid. It is scheduled for tomorrow. Or at least it was. We received an email this afternoon (Paris time) that the operator had overbooked. While we did get our money back, there are no other day trips available for us tomorrow. Had they not overbooked, we could have still had time to book DDay or something. I even called Viator to get their opinion. Viator agreed that I should leave this review since they also could not find a tour for us.

Our driver was great, Got us where we going with no issues, The tour planning was the left down. Calvados Tasting was ok. Would have rather had a lunch stop before the tour. The tour its self does not have a scheduled lunch break. There are some serious flaws in planning here. We had 2 tour guides, The first was the walking part of the town or rather outer wall. My wife walks 4 miles every day. The steps where hard for her. Most of the time we lagged behind and did not get the full story. The guide inside the church was about what I expected, long winded about stuff. We lumped into another group. Everybody on our tour, 6 of us left early to find food. We left the tour early to grab a bite to eat. The cafes where closing up at around 2:00 pm. We had a hard time finding a place to eat. Mont Saint Michel was a let down. It could have been a better tour if we had wandered and explored on our own.

The trip to Mont St Michel was the highlight of our trip. The tour guide provided history and fun facts about France. He led us through the tour and really made the trip worth it. I was curious about the Calvados tour but it turned out to be really well done and I would absolutely recommend it to everyone. If you are traveling to France, it is worth the time to book this private tour to see some of the best historical sites in the country.

Excellent trip, just the right balance of private time and guided time. Cyrus, our guide was an endless source information... and provide very stimulating conversation on the long ride.

Had an amazing experience visiting Mont St Michel. It makes you feel you are in some fairy tale. The crew took good care of us by taking us for calvados tasting, adequate breaks and information and keeping everyone together. I'd certainly recommend this to anyone visiting Paris.

We had four persons and traveled from Paris (a history of Paris was given to us while driving) to Calvados for a wine tasting (extremely interesting) and on to Mont Saint Michel with Cyrus as our guide. At Mont St. Michel we were part of a slightly larger tour group which was engaging and informative. There were six visitors total in the van with Cyrus and a driver. We were very comfortable and LOVED the experience. It was a long day - pickup at 7:30am and drop off at 9:30pm. The communication with Cyrus was perfect. Very smooth, easy excursion. Worth every penny!!! Thank you Cyrus for forwarding all the photos you took - great memories.

Our tour guide At Mont Saint Michel was very knowledgeable and friendly her name was Evelyn garden she was very animated and made the experience enjoyable the driver was very professional it would’ve been nice if he was able to communicate the Mercedes van was comfortable And clean.

Besides the visit to Mont St. Michel we were privileged to have a knowledgeable guide in Cyrus. Leaving Paris he pointed out some important sites as well as giving us a good history of the renovation of Paris under Napoleon the third and Baron Haussmann. He gave us excellent information about our destination as well as discussing other events in French history. The stop for the Calvados tasting was refreshing and informative and we were glad it was part of the tour. Would certainly recommend this tour to anyone thinking about a side trip to Mont St. Michel.

My daughter and I were so excited to make this trip. I had confirmed pick up at our hotel. It was not communicated to the driver. He was quite rude when I called to see what was going on. He hung up on me and then didn't answer my calls. My daughter called and he hung up on her too. He said we were lying about getting picked up at our hotel. I had email confirmation. We did get a call from someone else who was very apologetic and who tried to make it right. We did appreciate that but we had plans for most of the other days on our trip. He offered two options, but neither would work for us. We are pretty disappointed we didn't get to go. Just be sure to get written confirmation of any special requests, like pick up at your hotel.

We took this tour on July 2021 with my 9 year old daughter. Although the trip is quite long, Mt Saint Michelle is definitely worth the visit. The ride is in comfortable air conditioned van, there are also several convenience stops along the way. Tour guides are very knowledgeable and told us a lot about Paris, history of France, french customs and many other things, they are nice, polite, and easy to talk to. During the tour we visited a place to learn about calvados and even tested some. On the way back we also visited local town which was quite nice. We are happy that we made time for this tour, it was definitely highlight of our trip ( especially now when Mt Saint Michelle is not touristy yet).
