Mont Saint Michel Day Trip With Abbey Entrance From Paris

t was a good tour overall. The tour guide spoke Japanese, which made me feel comfortable and reassured. The explanations in English were also clear and easy to understand. Although there was a change of drivers before departure, the bus journey went smoothly without any issues. The bus also stopped at rest areas along the way, giving us opportunities to take breaks and relax.

The trip was very good even if a bit too expensive because in the end you can spend just few hours in Mont Saint Michel. Our suggestion is to leave a little bit earlier in the morning or come back an hour or two later in the afternoon.

Alex, our tour guide, was a pleasure! She was very sweet and had a lot of knowledge of the historic area. She was very hospitable and made sure any needs were met.

Meeting place isn’t convenient for seniors especially on cold or rainy season. Tourists are prone to respiratory illnesses. Maybe the meeting place should be indoor.

Our guide Alex was very informative and knowledgeable. The trip was a bit long. Senior citizens need to be careful as it's a steep climb and in the end appropriately 300 steps to climb. Keeping pace with everyone could sometimes be challenging

Probably the highlight of my trip around Europe. I was concerned that only 4 hours wasn’t long enough, but it was more than enough time for the tour, self-exploration and lunch. Alex the tour guide did a great job too!

Easy to find the meeting point, during each separate tour. All told us the meeting time and meeting point clearly. So there’s low chance to get lost. Though the weather not good as expected. But still have a beautiful memory!

Very informative and personal

The car ride was comfortable, and our guide is super nice. The view was absolutely stunning, the wind was crazy strong due to the storm but we sure had a lot of fun.

Mont Saint-Michel was absolutely freezing, but our guide, Soyoung, made the whole experience feel warm and enjoyable! She was incredibly cheerful, friendly, thoughtful and professional throughout the tour. Since we’re not very confident in English, we really appreciated how clearly and simply she explained everything. She also shared so many interesting stories about the history and culture of Mont Saint-Michel, which made the tour much more meaningful and memorable. Thanks to Soyoung, even the freezing weather couldn’t stop us from having a wonderful time. Highly recommended! One tip: definitely bring an umbrella, a waterproof jacket, and waterproof shoes!

Bus ride is about 5 hours long each way, including the stops we took at gas stations. You get around 4 hours of free time at Mont Saint Michel. The abbey and the whole place was wonderful, definitely worth a visit.

More detailed information about the trip would have been helpful in allowing us to prepare ahead of time. It also would have been nice to know in advance whether there would be any stops along the way. But overall everything we needed was there. Guide and driver were nice and friendly.

Great value and experience tour for Mont Saint Michel

The pick up and drop off was easy, the bus was great (pro tip…stay down stairs). Our guide So Young…hilarious and beautiful. Also very kind and full of info and most importantly…she didn’t leave us. Overall great experience.

Four hours wasn’t nearly enough time to take the island in, but that comes with the 4.5 hour trip there and back. The abbey itself took a very long time to get through, so if you want to explore the cute shops/restaurants at the beginning, make that your priority. I wandered around the beach for about an hour before heading inside, but I don’t regret that!

I am very satisfied with the journey. I would like to thank our tour guide. The whole process is arranged very well. We will come back again.

This is NOT an educational tour. If you’re expecting the tour guide to give you historical facts - you would be mistaken. The “tour is simply the transportation there and the tickets for a timed entrance. This is also a very long day - but worth it. One of the most beautiful places in the world. The bus ride to and from you will be stopping about 2 hours in for a good 30 - 40 minutes because there are no bathrooms on the bus (just seems to drag out) If you get back at the right time you will see the Eiffel Tower lit and sparkle!

Marie was wonderful! She was a ray of sunshine on a very cloudy day and made the experience so enjoyable. We decided to opt for the guided tour once on the bus as we thought we would have gotten more from the experience. Mont St. Michel is an amazing place filled with history and she brought it to life with her stories and her enthusiasm! Walking up 25 flights of stairs is unimaginable! I didn’t think I could do it. But, Marie made stops along the way and kept us entertained the entire time and somehow we managed to make it to the top and still had the stamina to walk back down!! I highly recommend her guides. Our tour guide Alex was fantastic! I was so thrilled we chose the escorted option for the tour because we learned so much more about Mont Saint-Michele than we would have if we’d completed alone. The steps weren’t too onerous and there was plenty of rest stops. Honestly, there’s nothing I would want to change - it was a wonderful day.

The guide was amazing and the view was breathtaking, but the weather changed soooo often and soooo quickly. I'd recommend bringing a raincoat, and a change of clothes would be nice to have too. Totally worth it! If I get another chance, I'd book the one-night stay plan.
