Tour guide was not informative, terrible hygiene made it impossible to get close enough to hear. Company should refund us for wasting our time.
Came here to specifically call out Marva (spelling?). She was absolutely perfect. I assume other tour leaders follow same basic template. If they do —this tour is worth the money. Our tour guide did a perfect mix of first giving overviews and then diving into details based on our questions and level of knowledge. The tour is great as a quick standalone alone tour or as a precursor to going back on your own understanding where to go next based on your interests of different categories and timelines.
Our guide was a no-show, we waited for almost an hour. Very disappointed, especially since I booked this back in March. I am very upset and want my money back!
Absolutely, would recommend doing a tour guide if it’s your first time in Paris. I could not be any happier about my experience with my tour guide.
Cursory tour which included Louvre highlights but not in depth information. Although pleasant, not worth the cost.
Our tour with Ivan was amazing. He is extremely knowledgeable and experienced in the Louvre. Highly recommend. And I will request him for our next tour.
I never got a response from this vendor and didn’t get the tour. They texted me to change time from 10 am to 2 pm. I told them that new time would not work and I didn’t get rescheduled or responded to
Well worth the price. We had a wonderful tour guide - Ivan He was so knowledgeable and gave such a difference perspective.
We liked our guide and easy to meet up with her and very knowledgeable. Tour was the right length for us
Excellent tour guide with Ivan. He was so knowledgeable and took us to key exhibits. After the tour, there was plenty of opportunity to explore on our own and he pointed us the direction of what we wanted to see.
I love a skip the line pass! Lines for the Louvre are long and life is short. I admit that once we got inside we went on our own way as we knew what we wanted to see in the exhibit. We got the audio guide which allowed us to go at our own pace. The guide was very chill about it!
Our tour guide was outstanding. He made the Louvre manageable and magical! I would definitely recommend this experience.
Our tour guide was amazing. His enthusiasm and knowledge about the history and art made this trip so much more exciting than we anticipated. 5* from start to finish.
Our tour guide did not explain important pieces well. He led us to different areas and gave us time in each section, but was not able to explain the history well. He also had bad body odor and his jeans looked very wrinkled. Only benefit of this tour was the skip the line part.
Ivan enthusiastically shared his love & knowledge of the history of Paris. We learnt so much about the history of the Louvre Museum from Medieval times to present day. Recommend this tour of the Louvre Museum!
Our guide was very knowledgeable and adapted to conditions which were out of her control. Our group was of 3 separate couple one of which included a person in a wheelchair. Unfortunately all the lifts in the first section of our tour were not working. Our guide did her best to find a way to support everyone and ended up extending the time of our tour due to delays in organising a route for the person in the wheelchair. Our guide ended up missing out on her lunch break before taking the next group to look after us.
Ivan was delightful. Very engaging and knowledgeable. Good tour and only “lines” were short ones for security. We all thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Louvre! AAA+++ rating.
Our guide, Ivan, was fantastic. He educated us not only on the art, but the history behind the art. He is extremely knowledgeable and knows the Louvre very well. I would request only him if we went again. My fiance told Ivan at the end of the tour that because of Ivan, he had a whole new understanding and appreciation of art. I have traveled the world and have never met someone as passionate about his work as Ivan. Please acknowledge his passion and skills for us!
Seeing the Mona Lisa and all of the greek sculptures. Our guide was excellent. She provided much detail of the paintings and sculptures.
I was very disappointed in the tour we were provided. While our guide was interesting and knowledgeable, the tour was supposed to be family-friendly and allow our child to "take part in games and learning exercises". Nothing like that happened. Our guide made no attempt to engage our son any more than she did any of the adults on the tour. We chose this tour because of the promise of it being family focused and this was not the case. My husband and I were interested in our guide's descriptions, but our son was bored through most of the tour. It was up to us to keep him engaged. If you have kids, you'd be better served using another company.
I am simply hoping this review reaches our host, Habeeb! We had a wonderful tour with him. The meeting place was easy, they provided the headphones necessary to hear him throughout, and he was very knowledgeable with the main areas of the Louvre we had hoped to see. Unexpectedly, my 7 year old niece actually had a medical issue towards the end of the tour which required us waiting in the museum for EMS. Habeeb went above and beyond. He closed out the tour with the rest of the group and then insisted on staying with us until the hospital. He bought my niece juice and was unbelievably supportive to our family. He refused any money from my sister so I just hope that this review reaches him and his company so that he can be thanked in any way possible. THANK YOU!!!
The only benefit of this tour was that we had someone who knew where to go which was helpful with all the increased security measures in preparation for the Olympics. Otherwise this was incredibly disappointing. We paid extra to skip the line, which I can’t think of a single line we actually skipped and it was supposed to be a 2 hour tour, but we spent over an hour just standing outside the Louvre waiting for other tour guests who were late. The Louvre itself was incredible, but the guide was hard to hear and the tour was only one hour once we finally got inside. There were other tour groups with ear pieces to hear the guide, which would have been much better. It was upsetting to pay extra to save time and to waste over half of the time just standing outside for no reason. I’d recommend a tour, just not this one. Not a good experience.
First I want say our Guide was fantastic. She salvage a bad experience. We waited over an hour in line to enter the museum. That was not expected with anticipated fast pass. Not a good situation
Great directions to meeting point and guide was there early. Very useful way to see the highlights and then go back and meander at our leisure.
TOURISTS BE AWARE this company is ran by a SCAM ARTIST there is-no skip a line. They took our money for a private tour and the guide didn’t even show up. They had 8 of show up at 10:45am and kept us waiting until 12:45pm to add us to another tour guide. We get to the entrance and to our surprise there is no skip a line. We had to wait over an hour with thousands of people to enter the museum. Screwed us 650 Euros, save yourself some money and book directly at 22 euros a ticket.
Nice Tour. My children were older and the tour guide adapted the presentation for the age group of the tour. Which were mostly adults.
I asked for a Spanish speaking guide because of my 83 year old mother. Our guide's name was Jorge Camacho. He was VERY GOOD. Gave us great explanations about the works of art at the museum. He was quite knowledgeable and kept things alive for my mom. He knew all the shortcuts for persons who need assistance in getting around. An excellent experience.
IVAN, the tour guide was excellent, he made the experience much better the only issue was we needed to contact the tour company and they did not respond by phone call or WhatsApp. In fact, they still have no responded
Skip the line and beautiful tour information. Perfect. Love the storytelling and you save min 2 hours with skip the line
Amazing tour, gave great insight into louvre history and answered all questions as best could. Excellent effort to ensure we were happy
The tour guide never showed. We called, we texted, we emailed - when we finally were able to get a representative on the phone, Viator had to call the local tour guide that NEVER followed up. I still do not have an answer nor a refund nor a call back from Viator. $250 and disappointed kids. We had to wait on a new line to buy tickets and pay all over again
Frederic was a Great Guide! He totally adapted the topics to the kids, made it interesting for them. The skip the line was top, no waiting time at all!
This museum has been on my bucket list for a very long time. I loved the experience. It did not disappoint in anyway. The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable. I totally enjoyed!
It is wonderful to see these great works of art in person. But candidly, the number of fellow travelers makes the experience overwhelming. You battle people every step of the way and there are thousands of steps as there are 18 km of galleries. The best way to see the Louvre is using an on-line tour where you can get commentary and up close views of all the museum has to offer.
The tour guide Ivan was very professional and knowledgeable about the arts. Also, it was wonderful experience to be close up to the famous Mona Lisa
We paid $389 for two adults and two kids, it was not worth it. The guides gave us headphones that were nit working, so couldn’t hear much.
Tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly however the device low quality and uncomfortable. We caught every other word of 50% of what was said.
Seeing works of art that I have heard about all my life. Our guides knowledgeable commentary as well as his enthusiasm for the works of art.
Merve was a wonderful guide! She was passionate, knowledgeable, friendly and kind. She got us into the Louvre quickly and easily and showed us the ‘best bits’ of the Louvre. This place is the most beautiful, intriguing and sumptuous place we’ve seen. The sheer scale of the museum, grounds and collection is hard to take in… but the Skip the Line Tour helps get you taking it all in a more manageable way!
This is an intro to the museum which is best thought of as a preparation for a subsequent visit. Don’t think that you’re going to see much of the collection. The tour stops at 10 or 12 or so pieces. The commentary from our guide on those pieces was great but there was so much else it would have been nice to see. The tour operator doesn’t give you an actual individual ticket to the museum so you can only explore the building/collection where the tour ends so there isn’t much opportunity for exploration on your own after the tour ends.
The tour guide took both of us separately to see the Venus Di Milo at the end of the tour and took the time along the way to point out and discuss other works of art .
Found the tour meeting place and had time to go shopping at the souvenir shop besides it. We were a small group of 4. Told the your guide that we have to leave as soon as the Louvre tour of 2 hours is done as we have an evening tour to Montmatre in the evening. Unfortunately, when we got to where the tickets were being scanned the tickets sent by the tour company to the guide for the other couple were invalid. After some discussions with two of the ticket attendants and the guide calling the tour company who did not answer, she decided to buy new tickets for the couple. We lost almost 30 minutes in the process because of this. Close to 4 pm which is when the tour would have ended, I had to remind her that we have to leave soon so we now have to rush to see the Mona Lisa before we leave. Good thing we found a taxi right away and the driver understood that we were in a rush to reach the place where our tour group to Montmatre was starting and we got there with only a few minutes to spare.
This was a fantastic tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable and his English was excellent. Our family of eight was fully engaged in the tour the entire time, even our two nine year olds and normally sulky teen. And *right* before the tour we asked if a wheelchair would be possible for my 75 year old dad (he’s sick and was having a rough time with his feet). My hopes weren’t high because it was so last minute, but our guide not only made it happen, but pushed his wheelchair the entire time. It was a great experience!
Julie educated us on the French and Louvre museum history that provided a whole new perspective and elevated the entire experience.
Having a knowledgeable tour guide to show us how to enjoy the exhibits better. it was great to get the history as well.
Excellent guide, well organized tour-very enjoyable. We had a great time and recommend it highly. I’ve used Viator before and they always come through.
Julie provided a very good, detailed history of the Louvre. It helped us appreciate the museum more. We were able to skip the long lines and quickly gain entry. She highlighted some of the more important exhibits and pieces and was able to provide very good insights.
Our tour guide, Julie, was absolutely AMAZING!! She was funny, knowledgeable, and highly entertaining. She expertly guided us through the highlights of the Louvre and made what could have been an overwhelming experience an extremely educational and memorable visit! We learned SO MUCH during our two-hour tour with Julie and were captivated by Julie's engaging and personable energy the entire time. This was definitely one of our TOP favorite experiences in all of Paris. Thank you, Julie! :)
Our guide was excellent, and we had no trouble finding the meeting spot. The initial part of the tour was outstanding, with interesting facts and history. Our guide had drawings to show us, and he was very knowledgeable. Unfortunately, after about an hour in the Louvre, the heat and the crowds were overwhelming, and we had to leave the tour. No fault of the tour!
