very unprofessional tour guides direction not very clear to a person not familiar with the environment. Assumes one knows the names of the landmarks. In turn we were 4 minutes late and they left without us with no help to recover.

This was perfect! Exactly what we wanted. We were very impressed with the ease and professionalism of the company. Our guide SID was top notch! Cannot recommend him any higher. Incredibly knowledgeable and funny. He made the tour worth it alone. Book this!
Our guide was great. Made the tour very interesting and kept us entertained at the same time. The communication from the company was good with easy instructions.
We enjoyed a wonderful experience with Florence, our guide. So knowledgeable about all the art in the Louvre, and we appreciated learning about more than just the highlighted art pieces. She’s terrific, so ask for her for your next visit!
Ade was an amazing tour guide and do much fun!
Frederick was knowledgeable, friendly and professional. Visiting the so called key pieces but also sharing some interesting insights. Well worth doing…
I’ve said in another review that I’m new to these “partial” tours. This was really just a brief intro to the Louvre and a fast track to the Mona Lisa. But it was ESSENTIAL. The Louvre is so big and so crowded and there are so many things to see, that a tour like this that makes getting in easy and takes you to a place that you would have taken twice as long to find yourself is amazing. The Mona Lisa wasn’t even my most important reason for seeing the Louvre, but it was a great place to start. Chris (Christelle) was entertaining and showed us key art and told us great stories about history and “The Da Vinci Code.” It was a great way to see several famous things while getting your bearings. Well done!
This was a great tour. Mathilda our guide was very knowledgeable. I would defintely recommend this tour to anyone!
Great and quick tour! Serv was pleasant and sweet. The tour starts on time and there is a bathroom break before going into the Louvre
Was perfect! Thanks, we saw all we wanted to see inn less than 3 hours
Cristina was an exceptional.guide. She was very knowledgeable and made the group excited to see the Mona Lisa. She found quiet spots in a very crowded museum. I left the tour with a lot of new knowledge and a stong desire to return.
Frederick.our tour guide was very good very knowledgeable and with good humor, answer all our questions.
Sev was a wonderful guide. She made the tour interesting and informative for all ages. Great knowledge!
We were glad to have booked this tour. It was early and since we skipped the line we saw the Mona Lisa close. Our guide was knowledgeable and showed the highlights. We were able to explore on our own afterward.
Christelle was absolutely amazing. Amazing tour
Oomar was a wonderful tour guide! The museum was very crowded and he smoothly navigated our group around the museum. He was very personable and friendly and made the group members feel like he cared about them! Oomar was very knowledgeable about all the artwork, sculptures and artifacts we viewed and included other interesting information as well. I would highly recommend touring with Oomar to anyone who is visiting the Louvre! Oomar is the BEST!!!
The guided tour with Florence (Flo) was absolutely amazing. She is so incredibly knowledgeable and shared so many awesome historical details that made our tour exceptionally enjoyable. Her enthusiasm and passion for the arts really came through and kept the group engaged.
We had an amazing tour by Flor We had read a lot and thought we had a lot of information but Flor made it simple and clear She is GREAT . We highly recommend Flor and City Wonders
Our guide Lucia, through City Wonders was phenomenal.
Guide slalomed us to the most interesting art and gave us also an art history lesson.
Anna from cityscapes was awesome. Learned so much! Saw so many incredible things!
Mauro made the tour special his knowledge and experience was sensational! Thanks so Much
Despite the strike at the Louvre, which delayed our entry, Frederic was excellent. He is extremely knowledgeable and even extended the tour a bit to compensate for the delay.
First trip to Paris so Louvre tour was a must! Our guide, Summer was superb!! Her historical knowledge and the way she was able to set up each new piece right before you saw it was perfection. Her level of experience and enthusiasm meant our experience was that much better. Organized and easy to follow. Answered all of our questions. Highly recommend!
I enjoyed every bit of this tour. Our host Florian was very knowledgeable on the history of the Louvre, as well as the major art works and sculptures/statues he showed us within the time. As this is the first time in Paris, I would recommend anyone else who wants to not only see the sights, but to absorb the characteristics of French history book a tour.
We really enjoy the tour with our guide today Alban, he also speaks Spanish and it helps a lot, we learned and enjoy a lot today! We will recommend this yitour to our friends
Thank you Lucia for the wonderful explanation during our 3-hour tour of the Louvre. Ideal for a first visit to this great museum.
Felix was a wonderful guide. He was very knowledgeable and informative, he never rushed us and gave us great tips on how to have a wonderful experience at the Louvre. After the tour, we stayed til closing time and enjoyed the all that this wonderful museum had to offer. Our tour was about two hours long and we stayed afterward for another 4 hours. Highly recommend this tour and City Wonders tours. This tour was supposed to be with a small group, but perhaps because of time of year, we were only the two us us.
I want to thank ferret' our tour guide. His knowledge and our tour was kept together and informative. I would definitely use this company again. Mark
I want to thank this company for being so wonderful to work with. During the strike, this company was the first to reach out and begin working with us. Thank you for being the least stressful company. They will forever have my business. Thank you!
Had no wait whatsoever, our guide was wonderful, tour was perfectly informative, never boring and it was the very best way to see the louvre. We saw all the best Up! Close and personal and then had a couple hours to explore on our own the areas we wanted to re-visit. Absolutely perfection!!!
We toured the Louvre with Ferit, his passion for French history shines through in his tour. Very informative, well timed and very considerate of all your guests. Even the waiting in lines for certain areas, was not uncomfortable, Ferit was able to distract the guests with his knowledge of the collection Will definitely be touring with City Wonders again, hoping to see Ferit again.
We took a short semi-private tour of the Louvre for our first visit. The tour was amazing. Our guide, Violette A., was personable, knowledgeable, and fun! She helped us better appreciate the Louvre and the art we were seeing. Her insights and historical tidbits were fascinating.
This was the best tour on our trip. Our guide, Claire, was fantastic! She was so knowledgeable and personable! The small group made it a wonderful experience.
My first time at Louvre and it was better than I imagine!! Manny is such a great guide. He’s so passionate and charismatic that makes you enjoy every step of your visit. Hope to come back soon and see him on other Louvre tours.
My wife and I had a great time and would recommend this tour To friends and family… You don’t have to wait in line and see the best pieces.
My adult son and I were fortunate to have Carolina as our tour guide. She has had years of experience and knows the Louvre and Art very very well. She was friendly and extremely informative, sharing details about the artwork and the history of pieces and the Louvre itself. We enjoyed her thoughtful teaching style - she would mention things we should notice and then question us on our observations and we would discuss them. My son and I both felt we learned a great deal from her in an intelligent, enjoyable way. When the tour was over and Carolina bid us adieux, we suddenly realized we wanted to tip her. I went after her but could not determine which of the many possible directions she went, and never found her. I am sorry about that - she is a fantastic guide. The Louvre is huge and I cannot imagine going without a guide on a first visit - it would be so difficult to find things and the museum is several levels, around 8 miles long end to end. Someday I hope to go back and have full days to spend there and study the paintings. There are so many huge and gorgeously detailed paintings, furniture, statues - an amazing gift to the world. This should not be missed on a Paris visit.
Sylvi was very Informative and nice. She was very accommodating and friendly. She made sure that we saw the Mona Lisa, Venus of Milo and The winged victory.
I was with my two teens and one of their friends and this was a great introduction to the Louvre. Our guide Florence was knowledgeable and interesting and great with kids. I booked this to be a small group as they said 12 max and we were us four plus a couple so 6 in total was a great group. Recommend it highly.
Had such hopes for the advertised tour . What we received: A guide that took 40 min to get group “organized”, many headsets didn’t work, guide used his microphone for conversations and so we heard his 1-way exchange. Didn’t see much art. Waited thru long lines. Not express at all. Guide was BORING and didn’t take advantage of educating us. I learned more from listening to my sister explain the artwork. Waste of money and not as advertised.
We had a great tour. Our guide was friendly and very informative. She took us trough the main highlights like the Mona Lisa. We saw several things in 1.5 hours.
We highly recommend this tour. Small group, skip line, lots of individual attention, with a guide who is passionate about his job. He paid extra special attention to our 9 year old grandson and told stories surrounding the exhibits highlighted in the tour. His stories were so fascinating to our boy that he remembered the names of paintings and statues and has been talking about them for 2 days to his younger brother (who we wisely left in the apartment with his mother and the 8 month old baby). Superb guide and wonderful tour. Marisa
My daughter and I were on a highschool graduation trip in Paris----she is an artist, art history buff and LOVES all things art! She really wanted to spend a full day or two in the Louvre taking in as much as she could during our stay in this wonderful city. I had been on another trip to Paris and had been in the Louvre once before...it can be overwhelming even if you LOVE ART! Especially in the summer...the crowds are big and in order to see all the highlights in a fast efficient way, this is the best way to do it. Then you can stay in the museum and go back to see everything again at your own pace and/or explore other areas you didn't see on the tour! The tour guide was helpful, informative, spoke great English and navigated us through to see all the highlights, including the Mona Lisa, in 1.5 hours! Highly recommend this even for the most seasoned art lover!
I'll preface by saying our tour guide himself was excellent, really knowledgeable and friendly. None of my complaints are his fault. However, when you hear "skip the line" you'd assume you don't wait in any lines, not the case. You get to skip the security line, which was a short line to begin with, maybe we cut in front of ten people. Once you're past security there is a line to get into the actual museum, which we did not skip, and was apr. 20 minutes of waiting, not a huge deal, except for that we went straight to Mona Lisa, which was another 20-25 min. wait, so we've started at 3:30pm (Louvre closes at 5:30pm), it's 4:26pm (time-stamp on my pictures) by the time we get to Mona Lisa, and now we rush through (practically running, literally stopped to take pictures and almost lost the group) all the other pieces to try to get to them by the time the tour is over. I think we saw three other "Masterpieces". Once the tour is over... the Louvre closes, so no time to go back and look at anything else in the museum, very disappointing for the price we paid, I would not suggest this tour and if you decide to do it, do not do the afternoon time slot. Also, the headsets were cutting out horribly, very hard to understand the guide, ended up taking out the ear bud and standing close enough to hear him.
We met outside then when our group was all there, we went inside together. The only line we had to wait in was the security line. Our guide was excellent, showed us the highlights, and some history of the museum. When we were done with the tour, we were left inside, so we could grab a map, and see the specific exhibits that interested us. I would use this company again and definitely recommend them to anyone with time constraints.
So great not to have to wait in line... However last minute changes to location of Mona Lisa at Louvre caused a bit of a rushed experience. Overall tour was excellent.
The worst experience!! They cancel the visit to LOUVRE MUSEUN and didn't give us a solution for that. This company don't deserve any respect and you should never use this company if you are planning a tour. I was with my child that came to Paris only to see this! NON SENSE AND RESPECT WITH THEIR CLIENTS!!!
We chose this tour because we didn't have a lot of time and we wanted to see the more popular art works at the Louvre. We took our 18 and 15 year old children and they also enjoyed it. Overall it was quick and stress free! Our tour guide, Ana, was excellent and very sweet.
Our guide was quirky, funny, thoughtful, and very knowledgeable. Before going in, I had no idea how anyone would squeeze a tour of The Louvre into an hour and a half, but I do know how crowded and overwhelming the museum is, especially when you are pressed for time. Our tour focused briefly on Greek and Roman statuary, then moved on to da Vinci. From there, we learned about the building itself as we filtered through the painting galleries. Our guide prompted us to think about why elements and symbols within the paintings were important, and how images we take for granted now were revolutionary at the time (because they challenged The Church!).We learned a great deal of history and theory within a short amount of time, and in a group of 6, it was easy to keep up with everyone. Finding the tour guide/group was also easy; under the Arche du Carrousel, across from the pyramid, a young lady (not our guide) checked us in. Different types of tours got different colored stickers so you knew who was in your group, and so your guide could find you. After the tour, we were free to stay at the museum and wander. We did, but in the heat (it's July) and with the vast hordes of people, we didn't last much longer. I firmly believe the small, personalized group tour is the way to go. Larger tours are probably also good, but those folks received devices with an earbud so they could hear their guide. I also can't imagine it is easy for a guide to keep up with larger groups of people.
It was 3 days before my mom and I left for France when I received a text message about a change in the schedule. They needed to reschedule us for 11:30 instead of 9:30am. No big deal. Then...It was the day before our scheduled tour and I receive another text message, so I call and the lady tells me the exact same information as previously, they need to move us to 11:30am. When I told her they have already moved us, she asks me to hold and 20 minutes of an international phone call later she informs me the entire tour is CANCELLED!!!! THE DAY BEFORE...CANCELLED. They offered a different day but our schedule was already set with champgne tours and versailles tours with different companies. LUCKLY i was able to rebook with a different company. I just did not appreciate the last minute cancellations.
