This tour was all I could have wanted and so much more. First the ease of coordination. Boris reached out by text and confirmed meeting place first thing in the morning prior to the tour, which was so helpful. The entry into the museum was an absolute breeze. I’ve have skip the line tours before but this one lived up to the phrase. The tour itself was an exceptionally well informed history lesson from a 360 perspective of art, history, politics sociology, psychology and religion. The museum is so overwhelming but Boris broke it down making the experience digestible and far more enjoyable. I would highly recommend it, you won’t be disappointed.
Once we meet up with our guide she did a great job knowing about the art as well as the history to go along with the art.
My tour guide was punctual and incredibly knowledgeable—it often felt like I was taking part in a history lesson with a friend. He was warm, engaging, and appropriately funny, which made the experience enjoyable and comfortable. This was my first time booking a private guide as a solo traveler, and it was absolutely worth it. I highly recommend this company and especially this guide (sorry I forgot his name).
Boraz was wonderful. He navigated the museum swiftly and attended to our interests, etc. We were able to see all the highlights of the museum and he gave us tips along the way beside the art history/landmark overview.
Our guide, whose name was Boris was fantastic. He had tremendous knowledge of the entire museum and all the different kinds of exhibits that were there. Personally, I can’t see how you could successfully navigate the Louvre without someone like this and their experience. It’s a massive place that you could easily spend days at and if you only have a few hours or a day, having the experience of someone like Boris will change the way you look at the art. Don’t let the price intimidate you. Save your money somewhere else and spend it on this. It’s worthwhile.
By far, this private guided tour was one of the best decisions we made to see the major sites during our trip to Paris. The Louvre is huge, with miles of galleries, walks, exhibits and displays. The lines to enter are long, even with pre-purchased times-access tickets - you and every other of the other 2000 visitors for your time slot will be entering at the same time, along with those waiting to see if they can buy tickets. The doubly-effective solution is this private, guided tour with professional guide Boris. Boris met us at the entrance, and within minutes using his “guide magic,” we were inside the Louvre, with Boris leading us to the art and antiquities based on briefly interviewing us on what we hoped to see. Boris spent two hours with us, guiding us through the halls and exhibitions, and getting us oriented. We are able to continue after the formal tour on our own having been given his deep guidance as to how to get around the museum. If you value your time and would like to maximize your visit, book this tour!! You will not be disappointed.
It was a great tour that passed all the lines and really break down the concepts and purposes of the musuem as well as all the amazing pieces of artwork we could see and the guide provided additional context that makes you understand it on deeper levels.
Tina was a wonderful guide. She was early to the meeting point and easy to find. Her knowledge and passion about art and history was inspiring. She did tailor the tour to our interests, which was perfect. We got to see everything wanted to see, and then some. I highly recommend the tour and Tina!
Our private guided tour of the Louvre Museum with Boris Petrović was a highlight of our trip to Paris. Boris’s deep understanding of the museum’s vast collection and his passion for sharing his knowledge made the tour an extraordinary experience. His insights into the masterpieces and their historical contexts were both profound and accessible. Boris spent a significant amount of time explaining how various parts of the museum reflect the culture of different periods, such as the Roman and Egyptian eras. His engaging explanations helped us understand how these artifacts and artworks provide a window into the lives, beliefs, and customs of those times. From the grandeur of the Roman sculptures to the intricate details of Egyptian artifacts, Boris’s storytelling made the history behind these masterpieces come alive. Navigating the Louvre can be overwhelming, but Boris’s expertise ensured that we saw the most significant works without feeling rushed. He particularly focused on pieces with rich historical significance, such as *The Coronation of Napoleon*, providing us with in-depth insights into the historical and cultural context of these works. His charismatic personality and dedication to making the tour enjoyable and educational for all ages were evident. Our family, particularly our 10-year old son, was particularly fascinated by Boris’s engaging explanations. My wife and I were equally impressed by his professionalism and charm. We cannot recommend this tour enough to anyone visiting Paris.
Excellent guide very knowledgeable and worth your time. We recommend to touring beyond the tour as there is so much to see
Our guide was excellent, well informed and able to show us the highlights of this immense museum. If we had tried to do this on our own, we would have been lost
We had a wonderful time with our guide and we learned a lot! I defenitly recomend to take this tour it was very well organized and interesting.
We had an amazing tour of the Louvre with Mila. She was very knowledgeable and made our visit a memorable one.
Amy was amazing as a tour guide! We learned so much from her. She even went out of her way to look up new information for us.
Overall we enjoyed the tour but could have used more art history / background on the art and artists than what was provided.
As a travel agent I book a lot of tours. I have to say this company has always been consistently awesome! They’ve been my goto Paris tour company for years. I appreciate the effort you and your guides put in, to making my guests happy. Thank you!
Having visited the Louvre on previous trips to Paris in my younger years as a student of art history, I knew that the experience can be overwhelming and exhausting. First time to Paris as a family with our teen with interest in history, but no background knowledge of art history I decided we needed to go with a private guide. I had learned about Boris through a favorite podcast and it was a wonderful experience. He customized the tour to our interests and kept everyone engaged.
This was the best your guide we have had in Paris! We spent 2 hours w/Mila. She is very upbeat, energetic and her English is easy to follow. She explained about the history of the louvre, and really knows her art history. We wish we had booked 4 hours w/her to see the whole museum!
We had struggled to find our way to the meeting location and were able to connect with the tour company to get clear instructions so we could arrive at the correct location. We made the mistake of going to the Arch de Triumph in the center of Paris and the tour start point was the smaller version of this iconic structure at the Louvre. Once we arrived, we were met with a difficult and uncontrollable situation that had the museum closed with no entry. Our guide Mila, was absolutely amazing because even though she could not get us in right away, she still took the opportunity to take us around the grounds and start walking us through the incredible history of the Louvre, the grounds and city. It was so enjoyable and informative. In about an hour the Louvre finally opened its doors and she was able to take us inside to see some the wonderful pieces of art and architecture that she was explaining on the outside. She took additional time out of her schedule to make sure my husband and I had the chance to see everything we wanted to inside. Her knowledge, explanations and personality brought the history to life and turned a very difficult experience into a wonderful memory. My husband and I would highly recommend this experience and this tour guide if you want to have your our experience at the Louvre.
Visiting the Louvre museum with Mila was a fantastic experience. We walked through the history and enjoyed art with a professional and inspiring presentation. All recommendations for an exceptional guide tour.
Mila is fantastic storyteller ! It was authentic time travelling through art and history, enlightening epoche like in good movie. Wife and I received the best 50 anniversary gift experience.
Despite many options for a private tour of the Louvre we are extremely pleased with our decision. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable, very intelligent and had a vast understanding of the museum itself as well as accommodated our interest in what we should see. We highly recommend Boris, and assure anyone that they will not be disappointed. We will book him again on one our next trips.
I can't say enough positive things about our experience. I enjoy museums a lot, but my wife is not a big fan. This experience was a game changer. Our guide made the museum experience personal and deliberate. He was outstanding at engaging what was relavent and important to us as a couple and us as individuals. By the end of the tour my wife was raving about the experience and wanted to adventure in the Louvre for hours more. If I could give this a 10/5 I would.
Bought this tour for my dad and he had a great time! Said his guide was super knowledgeable and very interesting.
Overall a great private tour. However, the confirmation email or ticket did not provide the meeting place for the tour. Trying to locate this specific tour on the website to determine the meeting site was difficult; the website search function would not bring up this specific tour to find the meeting location. Further, the meeting location is under construction making the directions somewhat irrelevant. I came across our tour guide by luck. The cost of this tour was too much to not clearly state the meeting location.
We were thrilled to be shown the louvre by Mila - her knowledge was excellent. She showed us an overview and highlights. Also gave history about the areas around the louvre
Our guide was knowledgeable and navigated the crowded museum with precision so that we crammed in a lot in our few hours. Part from the highlights like Mona Lisa we saw the original moat around the original fort.
Boris our tour guide was amazing!!! Very knowledgeable and great with our two teenage kids. Highly recommended!!!!
Tour guide very knowledgeable and obviously loves art. Great stories/ background on each piece of art she described.
We learned so much more about the history and art of the Louvre than if we had wondered around by ourselves. Anne made the tour interesting and tailored it to our interests. We highly recommend it!
Our tour was fantastic. I definitely recommend the skip the line tour as it saves you a lot of time. Our tour guide was friendly and very knowledgeable. She took us to all of the major attractions within the museum and also to the ones no one seems to really know about as well. Would highly recommend this tour.
What a great experience….Great tour with a great guide. Very knowledgeable about the history and English speaking which was a huge plus.
Great tour, fantastic and friendly guide and overall well worth it. Our guide was tremendously knowledgeable and made the tour through the museum much more meaningful. It's easy to find the biggest or most famous pieces but there is a lot of other amazing work in the Louvre that we would have missed without her.
Good easy way to see everything important but wish our guide’s English was a little better but she was super nice and tried hard to please
The only way to visit The Louve is with a guide! Boris is the one I would recommend! Very knowledgeable and he is easy to listen to! Instead of wondering around this massive art museum, Boris had a plan of attack and it went off without a hitch! This was a very cool tour! Highly Recommended!
I was very impressed with this private tour. Yes, it’s always nice to by pass the lines and ticket counters. This is not why I enjoyed this tour so much. Our guide was named Stephanie. She asked what was the “must see” for us. Then took us there first. There were other important things to see. Then some “hidden gems”. Stephanie explained the history of each piece. And what was happening at that time, to explain the “why of it”. All questions and comments were welcome. We never felt rushed. The experience was marvelous. Should I have the opportunity to return, Stephanie will be at my side.
This was a great way to experience the Louvre! Our guide Steph was knowledgeable, funny and engaging. Touring the Louvre on our own would have been overwhelming - we really enjoyed having a guide show us highlights and give us a crash course through this part of Art History.
Boris was an extremely knowledgeable person. The tour was not only informative but tremendously thought provoking. I don’t think I’ll ever look at white marble statuary the same.
Boris helped put life into the historical objects we saw at the louvre. Thee museum is overwhelming without a guide. Excellent experience!
Incredible having an art historian framing what we were seeing in historical and artistic context. Would not have gotten as much out of Louvre visit without our knowledgeable guide, Boris. So large would have missed or been unable to find works wanted to see. Fantastic and more than worth price for private guide.
Caroline was an amazing guide. In spite of our scheduling issues, Boris did a great job to accommodate my 2 sons and me! I would definitely recommend using them!
Adi was a knowledgeable and enjoyable guide. She provided a truly unique experience tailored to our needs and wants.
Best private tour guide ever! Give her a raise! Only way to see the Louvre!!! Focused and efficient. She was so very knowledgeable!
Great tour of the Louvre with Boris. The contextualization of the history of both the museum and specific objects of art, made it a very enriching experience to walk around with Boris. In addition, he asks interesting questions to his guests, which further ties the tour to a more personal experience of the art. I highly recommend touring with Boris!
Our guide Boris was amazing. He has so much knowledge about art and history and can explain everthing with context. I especially loved how he knows about political background of the given art pieces. He is really passionate. We learned a lot and would love to do it again. I could listen his stories forever.
Friends of our recommended Boris to assist us with the Louvre. The Louvre is huge with so much to see and navigate, we wanted some one to guide us and explain what we were seeing. This tour was perfect! We skipped the lines to get in and the tickets were included. Boris was so knowledgeable about each painter and it’s relationship to the Louvre and French History. We are not museum people but Boris made the experience one of the highlights of our trip.
Our group of 10 spent four days in Paris, and had the wonderful opportunity to see The Louvre, the Eiffel Tower and Normandy with Boris as our guide. I can't say enough good things about the experience. From the initial exchange of e-mail's to the last good-bye, Boris was helpful, responsive and flexible. He made sure we experienced as much of The Louvre as possible in the time we had available, and that we saw the pieces we wanted to see (Mona Lisa - so cool!) He also showed us several incredible works we would not have known to look for without his guidance. His commentary on the art, style, history, and social context of each piece was relevant and informative, and made each work of art so much more meaningful than if we had just viewed them on our own. Throughout this tour and the ones to follow, Boris not only remembered that my daughter is an artist, my son a Classics student and my Dad a Navy veteran - he also incorporated those interests into our discussions as we visited each site which I really appreciated. The second day we went to the Eiffel Tower. Boris had all the tickets ready and facilitated our quick entrance to the Tower. Again, he made the trip so much more interesting with his commentary and insights. Our final day was a day trip to Normandy. Boris arranged a very comfortable bus for the trip; and again, managed to show us so much in the time we had available. Our group included two sets of grandparents, so we were a little slow at times transitioning from one site to the next. Throughout the day, Boris was flexible and creative in helping us best manage our time. Even though we were late coming back to Paris, he helped arrange a quick McDonald's stop with the driver (we were all starved) where we got two huge sacks of burgers and fries. My son maintains that was the best meal he had in France - go figure! If you're going to Paris, I would highly recommend arranging for a private tour rather than one with a huge group. For a little extra investment, you can see what you want to see with Paris in Person, with a guide who is exceptionally knowledgeable, personable, and accommodating. Merci, Boris!
With limited time in Paris this tour was a great way to see the Louvre. Anya our guide knew her subject and was great company. Would recommend
