Daniel was excellent, very knowledgeable and entertaining. The tour was a good length with enough time to view the castles and still enjoy a coffee. The lunch recommendation was worth doing. The burgers at

Itinerary
Discover the Loire Valley at a relaxed, unhurried pace on this full day escape from Paris. Rather than rushing through multiple castles, this thoughtfully designed itinerary gives you more time to explore two of France's most iconic châteaux, Chambord and Chenonceau, while also enjoying free time in the charming town of Blois and a complimentary local wine experience.
From Paris, you’ll head first to Chambord Castle. Disney fans will find this castle’s turrets familiar; it was the inspiration for the castle in ‘Beauty and the Beast’. Though originally conceived as a royal hunting lodge, it was built to a scale that must be seen to be believed. You’ll learn all about the castle’s captivating history from your guide, before getting your own chance to explore. Climb a staircase supposedly designed by Da Vinci; enjoy spectacular turret-framed rooftop views; glimpse wild deer around the grounds; and work up an appetite for the next stop.
Arriving in Blois, pass by the impressive Château Royal de Blois, a former royal residence that showcases four distinct architectural styles. Your guide will point out its highlights and share insights into its role in French royal history.
Having worked up an appetite, we'll get back on the bus and on to our next stop - the quaint town of Blois, where you’ll get some free time to enjoy lunch in one of the restaurants located around the beautiful and vibrant Square Louis XII.
Last but not least is a visit to the elegant Chenonceau Castle. Your visit starts with a complementary wine tasting in the castle’s vaulted wine cellar (if option is selected). Then, carry on with a self-guided visit of the chapel, bedrooms and magnificent vaulted kitchens which are still furnished and decorated from times gone by, showing off the castle’s many sweeping stone carvings. Don’t miss the impressive main hall, which spans the river Cher, or the gardens cultivated by Diane de Poitiers and Catherine de Medici – two of the famous owners that earned Chenonceau the nickname ‘the Ladies’ Castle

Absolutely loved the day at LoireValley and insightful and very interesting presentations by our super guide Daniel. Daniel was extremely knowledgeable, professional and friendly. His explanations and stories made visit very enjoyable. Everything was well organized and the chateaux were absolutely beautiful.
Daniel is a very engaging and knowledgeable tour guide! Had a great day learning about and exploring castles and trying wine. Gave great recommendations for lunch and the rest of the trip!
I had a fantastic time. Daniel our tourguide made it a fantastic day with his funny anecdotes and his charming personality. Despite the heavy fog, I learnt lots and really enjoyed my time.
Daniel was awesome! Very knowledgeable and engaging
Daniel knew a lot and always told us things along the way! He was really funny and still made sure he got us everywhere on time and had everyone back on the bus before we left.
Tour Guide did a great job (Daniel) keeping us informed at all times and helping us each step of the way!
Daniel was superb and very entertaining.
A great tour from start to finish. Angela was a great guide. She was friendly and knowledgeable. The castles are beautiful, and the options of places to eat for lunch were nice. The tour was paced well. My only recommendation would be to maybe offer tour participants a light breakfast, as it is a long day, and that would help with the hunger from all of the walking.
Tour was excellent. Angela was an awesome tour guide. We had concerns about my daughter being able to eat gluten free and she got us a restaurant in Blois that could accommodate her. Great stories and background while we were traveling from location to location. The bus is a little tight but it’s not horrible, this is the one area I think they could improve on the trip.
Angela was an excellent guide. She was knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient. The Loire Valley tour was a truly wonderful experience.
Angela was extremely knowledgeable and her energy was infectious. I really appreciated her story telling it made the information much more enjoyable and digestible. This was really an incredible experience.
Angela was great. The castles were amazing like straight out of a fairy tale
Overall great experience and Angela was a great guide full of energy! She knew so much about Paris and the French country side. The bus was very comfortable. This is a full day activity - left at 7:30 am arrived back around 8pm. We went in November so it was a pro that the castles were not crowded. Only complaint is that we struggled finding our way back to the bus after the castles. Other than that I would definitely recommend this trip!
Great experience and interesting sights.
Angela was absolutely wonderful! Very informative. She also used humor. Very helpful
Very good experience with the Guide Angela
Thelma was very knowledgeable and fun.
Great way to learn the history of France! Enjoyed everything from start to finish!!
This was a fantastic day from start to finish and one of the highlights of our trip to France. Our guide, John, was incredibly knowledgeable, approachable, and engaging throughout the tour. He shared the history of the Loire Valley and its magnificent castles in a way that was both informative and entertaining. His great sense of humor kept the group engaged, and he struck the perfect balance between education and fun. As fellow Bostonians, it was especially enjoyable to learn that John had attended school in Boston. That connection made the experience feel even more personal and memorable. The castles were stunning, and the wine tasting was an excellent complement to the day. John provided insightful background on the region, its history, and its wines, helping us appreciate everything we were seeing and tasting. If you're considering a Loire Valley tour, I highly recommend this experience. The beautiful scenery, fascinating history, excellent wines, and outstanding guide made for an unforgettable day. Thank you, John, for making the experience so enjoyable.
Our guide Dee is superb! Very knowledgeable and helpful. She is concerned and professional in both educating the group and taking care that all are safe and comfortable.
John was a good guide, with interesting stories and lots of interesting history. Our group got along well. A very pleasant day seeing castles and a small town in the countryside.
The most beautiful place that I ever been! My mom, my sister and I really enjoyed the trip, the castles are amazing, we really loved the wine testing and we were amazed by the views. John was a great tour guide, he is full of great information.
Nice experience!! John was really passionate telling French history and very helpfull. I especially impressed by his love story
John made our day trip from Paris to the Loire Valley fantastic. He was knowledgeable, perfectly organized, and gave us enough time to explore the châteaux on our own.
Great experience with John on our trip! Great timing and easy to talk understand. Gave us plenty of time to explore.
John was great, really knowledgeable about the history and made sure that they were entertaining to listen to
Excellent guide (Thelma) and driver (Nadia). Tour was well planned. Enough time at both castles and for lunch.
Riti was fabulous! The tour was so well planned out yes it is a long day but it doesn’t feel like it is you drive you stop drive then stop so you aren’t on the bus very long until the way home. The bus is very comfortable with facilities onboard. I highly recommend this tour!
Exactly as described. While the meeting point is far off depending where you stay, the coach bus was easy to spot. It was a clean and comfortable bus in good condition. The guide Riti was kind. She gave us information along the drive since it was a large group. She did a great job at managing everyone as we had a few members of the group always running late. She deserves the praise! You have about 2hrs at each stop and there were 3- two castles and one city for lunch. The admission to the castles was included plus the tasting but lunch and snacks are on your own cost. It is a long drive so if you get hungry easily, I would bring something!
Excellent Dee really made the day, so knowledgeable and personable We were lucky to have her in charge
This trip was very enjoyable and probably the most enjoyable of the activities in Paris. I would have liked 30 min more at each castle but that would have made for an even longer day. The guide Riti was very pleasant, explained things clearly for both the instructions and information provided about each castle.
Our tour guide was Ritty and our Driver Nadia both ladies were fantastic. Ritty had great knowledge of the tour and surrounds of all the Castles and very approachable and friendly. Nadia a excellent Driver and safe. We recommend this Tour to anyone this is an excellent company with lovely staff. HAPPY CUSTOMERS FROM AUSTRALIA
Good value for the cost. While the meeting point was a bit far on the left bank, it was easy to spot with the early morning departure. It was a very nice coach bus and comfortable. Riti was a great guide. Shared some good knowledge about the area and castles. She deserves the shout out with both her kindness and ability to handle the large tour- we had about 35 of us! The day is really like the itinerary- first castle with 2hrs to explore. Then you go into the city for lunch and have about 2hrs for your leisure. Then final castle with also about 2hrs for your wine tasting and exploration. If you don’t drink- it just means you get more castle time! All tickets for castle entries and wine tasting are included in price but any gifts and food are at your cost! Plan to get back to Paris roughly 8pm- I advise packing snacks to avoid hunger (the final castle cafe is usually almost sold out by the time we are there)
I had a lovely day exploring the Loire Valley and Blois, followed by a wine tasting at Château de Chenonceau. Our guide, Riti, was so friendly and knowledgeable about the history. She explained everything beautifully and made the experience even more enjoyable. A wonderful day overall! ❤️
Our tour guide Riti was excellent. She was very knowledgeable and she was very personable. She made the whole experience lots of fun and was very engaging. I would highly recommend this tour it was one of the best tours I have been on well worth it!!
Had a great day visiting the Chateus, wine tasting was really fun and informative. Guide Riti was super knowledgeable and fun.
Amazing experience, excellent guide, very knowledgeable about the history and the region,
Great! Loved the scenery and stops. Fantastic tour guide. She really knew a ton about the history.
A most memorable day hosted by a knowledgeable professional delightful guide.
We enjoyed the trip especially because we were given lots of facts and details about the castles, the history of the area and the personalities involved in the developing of the region. The guide was kind and humorous. Highly recommend her.
Riti was a great tour guide and had great knowledge on the Chateaus. Great information on France and European history. We enjoyed our time.
Great experience with Riti as our guide. Her background history of the region and the specific castles visited added immensely to the experience.
Riti was a wonderful guide with lots of interesting information on the castles, the history of the area and the wine tasting. I highly recommend this tour and Riti!
Great experience. Provided clear information about trip and I have learnt history
Three adults in my family while in Paris for the week did the full day trip out to Loire Valley. The bus trip is a little lengthy as expected, but you can relax or even sleep if desired. The Loire Valley is expansive. The two castles we visited were both very impressive in different ways. John the tour guide was knowledgeable and set you up well to take the tour. The castle tours are on your own once you enter. The wine tasting was fun. Overall a very good day. Good value for price. Would do it again.
Famiy wanted to visit Chateau de Chambord to see Leonardo di Caprio’s, ooops, Da Vinci’s stairs, and did not regret booking this tour. John, our guide, was very knowledgeable and shared the relevant background and history of the places we’ve visited in an entertaining and funny way (Nostradamus and the falling eyeballs!) We had one great meal from Annie’s which John recommended. This is our 4th trip to Paris and this tour really made an impression. Strongly suggested!
This was a very good experience. Our guide, John is a very good storyteller and the information he provided gave what we were seeing more meaning. We are so glad we booked this tour.
John was an excellent guide. His historical stories were both educational and entertaining. Great locations and fabulous wine.
The castles were beautiful! John did an amazing job with the tour and made learning the history of Château de Chambord and Château de Chenonceau so much fun!
