Thomas (the french) was an amazing Guide who showed us the most important things of Paris and explained everything about the history of those buildings and about Paris itself. We can recommend him
They cancel the tour if there are people actually coming up less than 5 (after the scheduled time) It can ruin your trip to Paris.
Jay was great, very knowledgeable and informative of the area. I enjoyed the walk, I would take this tour at the first days of your journey as it maybe a repeat. The tour is very quick but good
Jason gave us an ill informed unknowlegable tour of Paris. He didn't care about guests and would leave them at sites and proceed on. Jason has no business being a guide abd poor people skills
We took this tour late in the after after just arriving in Paris. It was supposed to hit all the highlights. I’ve been on a lot of walking tours and generally prefer those when the guide is a native of the City. Dawid was our guide not from Paris but has lived there for sometime and was knowledgeable. He made the tour interesting with funny stories but we were unable to finish our tour by the louvre because pont neuf was closed for a special installation of an exhibit. I thought the guide should have known this and taken us in a different route. Instead he talked about the places without us going there. He also walked by the oldest click in Paris without even a mention.
I felt the guide could have been better, and that would have made the tour better. But still pretty interesting.
Best tour we took in Paris. Toto (Timothy) was passionate, informative, knowledgeable, charming, fun and funny. We learned a lot and the tour flew by. The Musee d'Orsay need to hire him immediately.
Toto was awesome! Very knowledgeable and friendly. I love how he introduced French history in a fun and engaging way
Tom was excellent! Tons of knowledge and good jokes. The fact that he’s a native English speaker and also fluent in French made the tour great.
We were a group of 6 friends in Paris. Some were there for the first time and some had been there several times. Francesca our amazing tourguide had so many stories and interesting facts about this city that everybody had a fantastic tour. And thanks to Francesca the tour did’nt feel too long, despite the freezing cold and the heavy winds.
Brilliant experience! Our tour guide was Francesca and she was amazing. Very enthusiastic and so informative! She really made the beginning of our first ever Paris trip special and gave us so many recommendations of food places, cafes and things to do. She made a massive effort to speak to everyone in the group and make it a really comfortable environment with the way she delivered the tour. Would highly recommend!
A road was closed due to a parade, we arrived 5 minutes late but they had already left without us. You would have thought knowing the number of people on the tour they would have waited. Called the number, they told us to go to Notre damn bridge to find them so we did. Called them back as we could not find them, then they told us to go back to the start and “someone” would come for us. We waited for an hour but no one came. What a waste of money. We were really looking forward to it as well.
Such an interesting tour we learnt so much. Tom our guide was full of fun interesting and entertaining facts about this lovely city. Would definitely recommend
Having just arrived in Paris the night before, this tour was just what we needed to gain an insight into Paris-its landmarks and fascinating history. Tom The Pom was brilliant! His knowledge of the area and the history is vast and his delivery wasn't too heavy with humour along the way. He drew the crowd (of about 12) together with references from our countries and made us all feel very welcome by answering our questions along the way. The two and a half hours flew by and we really recommend this Walkative tour about the history of Paris with Tom.
Francesca was very knowledgeable and made the tour interesting. The visual aids added to her exciting narrative. We can recommend this tour.
Anna was a very good tour guide. She was very knowledgeable, had a great sense of humor, and answered all of our questions excellently. Even though we were a group of over 20 people, we could hear her loudly and clearly everywhere, even on busy streets. We highly recommend the tour!
Our guide Jason was friendly and informative, he showed us a handful of sights in the centre of Paris. The group size was about 20 people which worked well. Would recommend.
The tour guide gave nice information but also talked a lot about silly stuff. I could see with another guide it could be better.
We enjoyed seeing the sights of Paris and its beautiful architecture. However to our guide R - try to ramble less and slow down and keep more to topic! Still enjoyed and would recommend
This was a wonderful tour. The guide was knowledgeable, interesting, funny, and accommodating. Highly recommend.
Enjoyable tour of core Paris historic centre, including Île de la Cité, Notre Dame, Seine walkway and Le Louvre. Thomas is an excellent guide giving a good presentation of each site, embued with interesting stories, anecdotes and humour. Also got useful tips on how to get most out of visiting this fabulous city.
Thomas made the tour very interesting with his level of historic knowledge and information. His fun and witty style also made the tour enjoyable. Would fully recommend.
Greate tourguide Antoan made this experiance unforgetable. He is so interesting.I recomanded to everyone. Good job.
This is my second Walkative tour I have done to get to know the basics of the city (Berlin in 2018 was my first) and these are really great tours. Thomas was my guide for the historic Paris tour and he knew so much it was almost overwhelming. He was inviting and funny and really loved Paris, which made the tour all that much better. I can't compare these tours to other companies, but I will definitely use them again on my next trip.
Our guide Jason walked too fast în the crowded zones, did not insure în any way that we could follow him and so we lost him at the half tour. Also, he did not know Basic things about Notre Dame cathedral. I am sorry to say, it was unpleasant for us. I would like to be refunded by the agency.
We always book one of these Free Walking Tours whenever we do a City Break around Europe as we have always found the guides more passionate, this one did not disappoint. Our guide Thomas was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable, providing great information and had a brilliant sense of humor, he kept the tour light and fun, cracking jokes along the way. Would have loved to have done more tours with him. Highly recommended.
Thomas was an excellent tour guide who shared his passion for history of Paris and iconic landmarks with a few jokes here and there. He was energizing and engaging. His pace was reasonable for the group and allowed for places to sit here and there. He provided insider information too! Highly recommend this tour and especially Thomas!
Francesca was brilliant. She brought the city to life, was really energetic and engaged with all the people in the group. I learnt so much from her, but she kept us laughing the whole way round too. Brilliant. Thanks Walkative!
We did the morning historic tour of Paris with Jason. Everything from punctuality, entertainment to providing us with useful tips in Paris but also the rest of France, was delivered perfectly. The email correspondence was great, especially the pin point on the map for the meet up. It is obvious that Jason loves his city but his job also, which made the tour even better. Cheers
Francesca our guide was amazing. She was very energetic, enthusiastic and amusing as well as incredibly knowledgable. Most of the group were young and fit but Francesca did slow down for the four older group members and this suited us very well.
Eva was my guide and she was amazing! Extremely knowledgeable, polite, kind and informative! Thank you Eva for making my day in Paris unforgettable!
It was a pleasure to explore Paris with Francesca! She both entertained and informed us very well! It was a perfect mixture of profound information and fun facts! She obviously enjoyed her job and we enjoyed the tour!
Dovy did a nice job and told us a lot about Paris. We liked the tour a lot. There is time for pictures and he is very funny. He gave a good idea about Paris with nice suggestions. Kind regards from Belgium.
