Guided Tour Of Paris In Citroën Traction Avant Or Ds 21

Abi is an excellent driver and knows Paris very well. He adores the Traction Avant and we enjoyed riding in it. Traffic in Paris can put one on edge, but he made his way thru it and stopped twice to take pictures which he does very well. English is a bit difficult to understand because he speaks rapidly. Otherwise, all was perfect. We took the one hour tour.

Abi is not only a great Paris tour guide, he is an expert driver and takes amazing photos. The car was an absolute gem as well.

The car is worth the price of the trip just for the photo op. The driver was difficult to understand. Spoke fast and with a strong accent. Difficult to get pics on the drive by locations but still worth it.

The car was nice and well maintained. However, the driver was late picking us up due to abnormal traffic. He also only took us to one spot to get out and take pictures next to the car. When I asked if i could stand on the side of the car to take another angle, he made the comment that he already took pictures. The worst part of our experience is that he did not drop us off back at our original pickup spot. He dropped us off on the side of the street about 20 minutes walking distance from our pickup spot. This was after he asked us if we wanted to get dropped off somewhere due to it being a lot of traffic. In conclusion, the tour was underwhelming and a waste of money.

Abi was great, he showed us around town in the Citron Traction Avant which is a highlight within itself (people stop and take pics of you!). He knows all the backstreets and zips around town like a true Parisian. He also takes photos for your group which are better than a photo shoot. Highly recommend!

Abi was really good. Turned up on time took us all around Paris. He pointed out places we never would have found. A great value trip in a beautiful vintage car. Everyone noticed the car it was like being a movie star. If I had more time I would’ve booked the same tour in the Citroen DS1. Thanks Abi a great experience.

A nice driver who was courteous and pointed out lots of sights/ opened doors/took photos for us. For my husband, who loves the Citroen DS car, it was a wonderful experience. The back seats were really comfortable for us , though we had to have our luggage with us as we had arrived in Paris later than expected, and there was no boot space to store it. I was a bit stressed as the website didn't let me update the meeting point and I was worried that it would all not work out, but I had been in contact with Abi, the driver, and it did work out. Lovely to see Paris this way.

Wonderful tour through central Paris in a gorgeous DS21. Amazing how well our driver got us round all the sights in rush hour. May I, gently, suggest that the guide slows down his flow of information. Very informative in great English but tricky with all the windows open to hear/understand.

We got to see all the sights, and given all the picture suggestions along the way. Also be prepared that your tour will also be a sightseeing event for other travelers taking pictures of you.

We booked a 3-hour tour in a vintage Citroën DS for a special birthday celebration. Overall, it was a mixed experience that functioned more as a stylish chauffeur service than a guided cultural tour. The Positives: The car itself is incredible—it’s a beautiful piece of history that turns heads and gets a lot of attention throughout the city. Our driver was a nice man and a skilled navigator, expertly "zooming" through Paris traffic with ease. He was also very helpful in finding the best spots for photos, which we appreciated. The Disappointments: As a "tour," this experience fell completely flat. The issues went far beyond a language barrier (his English is limited) Our driver seemed fundamentally unable to connect with his audience or fulfill the basic requirements of a guide. He provided next to none cultural or historical commentary; instead, he simply pointed at things and named them (at best gave a date of when it was built) without stories or engaging context. At times, The commentary was almost comical in its randomness. He pointed out "gas station" three times, and named grocery stores , 5-star hotels and a list of luxury brand stores, as we passed them, providing no further information—something we could obviously see for ourselves. Also distracting and unprofessional, however, was his attempt to "engage" by showing us K-pop and other celebrity contents on his phone while we were touring. Even when we showed absolutely no interest, he continued. It was a strange distraction and took away from the beauty of the city we had paid to see. When we tried to ask about history or culture, he either gave no response or continued to his random, irrelevant comments. Verdict: If you want a stylish "joy ride" in a cool car and someone to take photos for you, this works. But if you are looking for a professional guide who can provide cultural depth and engage with a family, this is not it. It felt like a hollow performance that was often more confusing than informative.

Regrettably, the private sightseeing tour was cancelled by the provider due to vehicle issues, with confirmation that both vehicles were out of order. This is disappointing, and I am now required to cancel and pursue a refund.

Overall the tour was very good, but the drivers accent made of hard to understand if you need English. Also, he has a bit of a you're lucky to be here with me attitude.

This experience was not just disappointing, it was deeply upsetting. This tour was part of my elderly, disabled grandmother’s bucket list, and we were in Paris for just over 24 hours. Abi failed to show up, leaving us both standing in the rain at the meeting point with no warning and no apology. Because of the short notice, we were left without any alternative way to see the sights, which was particularly distressing given the significance of this trip for her. Abi then asked me to cancel the booking, despite knowing that cancellations within 24 hours are non-refundable. Had I followed his instruction, I would have lost the entire cost of the tour, even though it was he who failed to meet the booking. To me, this felt like a cheeky and inappropriate attempt to retain the payment despite not providing the service. When I explained we couldn’t wait an additional 1.5 hours due to a pre-booked dinner reservation, still no apology was offered. Instead, I received rude and unprofessional messages. He also admitted he had already taken the car to the garage and was on his way home by train, meaning he knew well in advance that he wouldn’t make our scheduled time but still chose not to inform us. I opened a case with Viator to request a refund, but he has been unresponsive to their enquiries as well, causing further unnecessary delays. Overall, the conduct was extremely unprofessional, irresponsible, and showed a complete lack of respect for our time and circumstances.

Abi is a great guide and speaks English and French. He showed us great views of monuments and took photos of us next to his beautiful red Citroën Traction! That was really fun and a great way to see Paris! Thank you Abi

It is a fantastic experience. Abi, arrived at our hotel ahead of time. He is very polite, patient and knowledgeable. The ride was most comfortable and enjoyable and we were able to take some iconic pictures!

We really enjoyed our night tour of Paris. We saw all the main sites an and many wonderful neighborhoods. While we have been in Paris many times, some of the neighborhoods were new to us. Also, many of the major sites were from an angle we had not experienced before. My reason for the 4 rating is the drivers English was difficult to understand.

Abi is the BEST! We have taken 3 tours with him over the past 2 years, each time so that family members with mobility limitations could feel like they had the keys to the city! I don't doubt that we will take more trips with him...

I needed to briefly delay the start time of the tour and they refused and said if I couldn’t make it I’d loose the money. They were extremely rude and uncaring and completely unwilling to work with me.

Abi, I think I’m spelling it right, took all around the city at a very fast pace so we got to see sooo many sights. It was fun, he also is a great photographer. It was a very hot out, but he couldn’t control that. We had an amazing time but Paris was very crowded so I’m glad he had inside knowledge on how to get around. We did it just to figure out where things were. It was nice he picked us up from our apartment we rented. All around great experience and everyone was looking at us and the car. My daughter started waving at people like she was famous.

Worst experience I’ve ever had. The tour guide didn’t know anything. He would point out obvious things like , there is a Starbucks on the left, and a high school. The first hour we didn’t even see any landmarks. It was a complete waste of money and I’m severely unsatisfied. Also his English was extremely poor, we could barely understand what he was saying. After he kept pointing out uninteresting places like Starbucks and high schools, I told him that we’re here to see the landmarks, and he wasted our time by doubleing back to where we started the tour. It was just horrible all around. I wouldn’t book with this agency and certainly not the driver. Also he was more interested in the car than giving us a tour around the city. Even afterwards he said, so what do you think about the car instead of how did you like the tour. I’m really upset because it’s my husband and I wedding anniversary and we really wanted to capture pictures infront of landmarks. We are only here for less than 48 hours (We’re headed to Switzerland) and we thought this would be a great way to spend of limited time, but turns out it was a waste of money.

I booked this tour for my elderly grandparents so they could see Paris from the comfort of a vehicle. They were pretty happy with the tour; the guide's English was a little difficult for them to understand, but they were able to see a lot and enjoyed the car. It is pretty pricey for the length of tour, but we did book it last minute and the guide picked them up from our AirBnB which made it very convenient. It was worth it for us to have someone drive my grandparents around and see a lot in a short amount of time, but I wouldn't do it under any other circumstances.

Great way to see Paris!! Our tour guide was amazing! Ali showed us all the tourist attractions and the best restaurants in Paris. He also took great pictures. I highly recommend if you want something private with your friends and family members.

Really enjoyable tour! Our guide was extremely knowledgeable about the history of buildings and locations citing dates and names of people. Great way to see a large amount of Paris. LOVE LOVE LOVE the car we toured in! Is older so had to back up in a few places to make tight street corners but everyone noticed us in it! Locals and tourists. Could have used the black car which wouldnt need the extra space for turns, but I love the red one! Was a very comfortable car to be in. Our guide handled driving it very well. Never felt like we were gonna die like we did in a taxi, lol! For first time in Paris was a great way to see lots of places comfortably, safely and got great history lessons!

The driver (Ali) was a very skilled, helpful and very entertaining host. We saw many of the highlights of Paris in the two hour tour and we (or, rather, the beautiful car!) received many admiring glances as we sped thru the streets.

Abi was very accommodating and helpful in my request for a car transfer preceding a marriage proposal. He worked with me on the details, confirmed the reservation, and was punctual on arrival. Our scenic trip through the city was very nice, and we had opportunities to take pictures with the vintage car and the landmarks. Abi is a nice, soft-spoken man who needs to speak louder and more slowly, but I found him to be very knowledgeable of the area. Thank you for being a part of our very special night!

The 1955 Citroen Avant was a great way to see Paris. We would recommend it to anyone who has a love of old cars.

An amazing way to see a beautiful city in style in a vintage classic. Our driver gave us a wealth of information in both English and Japanese. We enjoyed unique photo opportunities of many of the great sites. The best unique experience to see Paris.

What a wonderful way to see Paris! This is not an educational tour designed to give historical and cultural lessons. This tour is a way to see all of Paris and have a blast doing it. Our driver, Abi, picked us up from our hotel on time and we were off. We saw all of the sites outlined in the listing. Abi took our photo at various sites, which is way better than the usual selfie. Abi didn't drown us in commentary, but provided interesting tidbits of informaiton. The real star of the show is the vehicle. Everywhere we went, people were scrambling to pull out their phones to take a photo. We felt like royalty! This was the perfect tour for us, allowing us to see so much of Paris without having to stand in line, wait for tickets, push through crowds, and listen to information we didn't need. We wanted to see and experience Paris and this allowed us that. I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone. to Abi, thank you so much!

This was a wonderful experience! Not only did we get to see the highlights of Paris, but the car brings so much attention we felt like royalty. Abi stopped the car at several locations and used our phone to take photos of us. He provided interesting information that a usual tour wouldn’t provide and took routes that only a local would be brave enough to attempt. We loved every minute. This is not a sight-seeing tour with the usual information. This is an experience. If you want the encyclopedia/Google version, perhaps a big bus tour would better suit you. For us, we wanted to enjoy Paris and see the city in a different way. Abi and his amazing car provided that for us.

The dr8ver knew his information but with his window down we were getting a lot 9f gas fumes in the car. This gave me a headache. The champagne was good.

Our tour was memorable with Abi, our excellent driver and tour guide around the city of lights! He took us around the city, to all the sites we could never cover on foot in one afternoon and told us all the places we should eat as well as interesting history or facts about the places we passed by. If you are able to, and short on time or in search of a different experience in Paris - this is the tour for you! Abi also stopped so we could take a bunch of photos with his classic car with the Eiffel Tower in the background! Amazing experience that we will never forget and talk about for the rest of our lives!!

I was treated to a personal tour of Paris. It was both exciting and so much fun. This is a great way to get an overview of the city. We stopped at some iconic sights where he very skillfully took photos. This is the second time I’ve used his service and will be back.

Booked on gyg and got Abi as tour guide. Car wasnt this one we asked for but whatever was a classic one very nice looking. However, wasnt a guided tour. Abi's very soft spoken was bit difficult to hear him furthermore his English speaking wasnt undertandable, but the point mainly is he wasnt knwoledgeable about Paris's history, just told about few restaurants, japanese ones, or showing places without having to tell about history alternatively even dates. We expected some helpful narration. Sure he was kind guy, but there isnt a guided tour at all, this is a ride aboard a classic car sure but still just a ride as you would make with an uber
