Long day, totally worth it. Pickup at our hotel, an easy drive with a quick coffee stop, then the Calvados tasting... fun and not salesy. We joined the guided visit at the Abbey and learned a ton. After that, free time to wander the tiny streets and grab lunch. Zero stress!!!

Calvados Tasting at a local producer Calvados tasting with an animated show about Normandy's history and Calvados production secrets. Departure to Mont Saint-Michel.
Arrival at Mont Saint-Michel and visit to the Benedictine Abbey Our guide will bring you up the narrow streets of the mediaeval village towards the top to the Abbey. Usually we manage to join the guided visit which is led by an expert on Mont Saint-Michel and its history. When it is not possible for some reason we provide the audio-guides for the Abbey's visit. First settled by man in the year 709 it contains a Medieval village and beautiful Abbey fortress dedicated to Saint Michael the Archangel. The construction of the Benedictine Abbey started in the 700’s and continued through the 1200s. It remains practically the same since the Middle Ages as it continues to be the goal of pilgrims and tourists from all over the world. Mont Saint Michel remains the most visited site in France with around 4 million tourists per year. After the Abbey visit You'll have free time to enjoy Mont Saint-Michel city and time for Lunch.
Departure from Mont Saint Michel back to Paris. One stop will be made at the rest area.

Bring good shoes and your camera. The angles inside the Abbey, the stone streets, the bay... it’s all photogenic. Our guide knew where to find the less crowded viewpoints. I appreciated the rest stop on the way and that the schedule left time to explore on my own.
We were worried about the logistics and the walking, but the pacing was thoughtful. Comfortable car, careful driver, and the guide pointed out places to rest on the way up. We took it slow and still saw the Abbey and the village. A big tick off the list without feeling exhausted.
We departed over 30 minutes late, which significantly reduced our time at the main site. The guide seemed rushed and did not provide much historical context; the explanations were brief and lacked depth, giving the impression that they were either unprepared or simply uninterested.
Our guide picked us up on time in a comfortable vehicle and kept us engaged throughout the journey with fascinating stories about Normandy and Mont Saint Michel. The abbey was awe-inspiring, and the Calvados tasting gave us a deeper appreciation for local craftsmanship. Highly recommend this private experience!
A wonderful family adventure! Our kids loved exploring the medieval alleys of Mont Saint Michel, and the adults definitely enjoyed the Calvados tasting. The guide kept us all engaged — a rare feat!
From start to finish, this tour was luxury at its finest. Comfortable transport, personalized attention, and a stunning destination. The Calvados tasting was smooth, refined, and a great cultural touch.
Such a fun day! Exploring the island was like going back in time, and the Calvados tasting made us feel like true Normans. Loved every second , from the cobblestone paths to the apple brandy cheers!
There are no words to explain it; you need to see it for yourself. Thank you for organizing the trip for our big group of 10 people! The guide was incredible, and we made so many new discoveries, especially about European history. The Calvados and cider were delicious. We even bought some from the distillery! I definitely recommend it to everyone!
This private tour was convenient with hotel pick-up/drop-off with a lovely guide (Victoria) and a driver (sorry, I can't spell his name). We enjoyed speaking with Victoria and the driver. They both made this tour worthwhile with their friendly attitude, positive mindset and professional behavior. I really commend the driver for being alert and patient with his safe driving skills. It was a long day but definitely worthwhile. The Calvados tour with tasting was a good introduction to Normandy (video and Steve's explanation), before heading on to Mont Saint Michel. Everything was well-organized. Be prepared - there are about 400 steps in ascending Mont Saint Michel. It is a physical journey. The tour guide at Mont Saint Michel was also very thorough and did a great job explaining the history and significance of the monastery. He described it as a pilgrimage of salvation for many pilgrims. It is a real marvel from a religious and reflective perspective. There is a lot to see and absorb at Mont Saint Michel. Time goes quickly and it may not feel like enough, but that is a function of wanting to stay as long as possible in such a peaceful place. Pro-tip: Pack some sandwiches and water / fruit to fuel up at Mont Saint Michel. Communication with the tour operator (Valerie) was timely and responsive. We recommend this tour if you value the convenience of a private tour with hotel pickup/drop off and prefer a more intimate / quiet setting than a bus. Victoria and the driver were superb. Thank you very much!!! You helped make France memorable.
We had a wonderful 2 day trip to Loire and Normandy. Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly and fun. We were able to exchange visiting Chateau Amboise to visiting Chateau Clos de Luce. We were very happy. Our driver was super - friendly and helpful. They made a great team that really took care of us.
Amazing in geographical location and astonishing construction. It made me stunned and kept wondering how people in the ancient time could build this, especially the abbey … very impressive historical symbol.
I asked Mont Saint-Michel for a private tour. I was able to leisurely go sightseeing in a Benz V class. The Guides were only in English, but they were very helpful and enjoyable. I didn't go to Calvados because it was so crowded after the Olympics, but I had a good enough experience. I can recommend it.
Emily was exceptional, full of knowledge and kindness as we explored these amazing places. Mont Saint Michel left us breathless with its majesty and breathtaking views. The tasting of Calvados was a unique experience, discovering the traditional flavors of the region. Emily made every moment memorable, sharing fascinating stories and local recommendations. Thanks to this company, for such a wonderful experience!
