Her extensive knowledge and enthusiasm bring the museum to life, making the experience both engaging and enriching for visitors. She also demonstrates excellent care and attention in ensuring the safety of the children and attending to the needs of the entire group.

Could not have got round the Louvre without our guide Florent. His knowledge and humour made this an experience to truly remember, he guided us to so many historically interesting exhibits and of course The Mona Lisa.

We had a wonderful experience with Ivana at the Louvre! She was fantastic with our entire family, from my parents in their 70s to my two young children. She made the tour engaging and enjoyable for everyone, which is no easy feat with such a wide range of ages. The scavenger hunt she created for the kids was such a thoughtful and fun touch. They were completely engaged throughout the tour and came home excited to tell us everything they had learned. Ivana made the Louvre feel accessible, interesting, and fun rather than overwhelming. We would highly recommend Ivana to any family visiting Paris — she was knowledgeable, engaging, and truly made the experience special for all of us!

Severine from Babylon tours provided us with the best tour of the Louvre everrrr! She is so knowledgeable of everything pertaining to the history of the Louvre but is also a scholar of the world of art. Her enthusiasm and vivacious personality is infectious and makes the museum and its many wonderful exhibits come alive! The only thing missing is enough time to enjoy Severine even more! We can’t wait to come back and see her again in a future tour!

Francois was EXCEPTIONALLY excellent!!! Very knowledge but also extremely entertaining. He really knows the history and particulars of the museum. As important, he was able to read his audience and adjusted the tempo and depth accordingly. When we return to Paris we will seek him out for future excursions.

We visited the Louvre with Daniel as our guide. Recognizing how overwhelming a visit to the Louvre can be, Daniel (Babylon Tours) provided a focused and detailed tour of the highlights, while giving us an overview of the museum as a whole. Daniel was also very knowledgeable, professional and courteous throughout our experience. I strongly recommend this tour.

What a fantastic experience. We arrived early and Josef was already waiting for us. He introduced himself and off we went for our tour. Josef was very knowledgable from the statues to the paintings. The conversations were interactive and Josef was very funny. Time flew. The two hours were over in not time but Josef did not push us to finish looking at painting and took his time to explain in detail even though he was longer with us. There were a lot of people in the Louvre but as we had a family member in a wheelchair he took his time till the crowd separated and we could have a proper look at the paintings. It was really magicle and the information we received from Josef was amazing. I can highly recommend to book Josef and I can highly recommend the tour. Worth every penny and we would do it agian with Josef. Highly recommended

Cecile was an incredible tour guide. She was so knowledgeable but kept it fun and interactive for my boys aged 14, 10, and 9. They were sick of museums at that point of our trip but ended up saying this was the best tour we had! I couldn’t recommend Cecile more. She was fantastic.

We really enjoyed the visit to the Louvre. Veronica was an excellent guide and told us good, interesting and amusing stories about the art works. We saw the famous pieces and learned a lot. Being part of the tour meant we could skip lines and it made for a pleasurable afternoon at the Louvre.

I’ll start with the bad: it was pricey. About $1000 American for a family of six. That’s why I rated “value” as four stars instead of five. But then again, this is Paris, probably one of the most culturally and historically rich cities in the world and ultimately I won’t lose sleep over it because the experience was still pretty damn cool. The good: our guide, Manu, was amazing. I’m sure most guides are excellent at what they do but Manu stands out. Hailing from Italy, he has formally studied literature, art, and art history, and he was able to show us the evolution of Western art across the ages … going from simple 2D representations, to 3D, to incorporating emotion and movement in objects that are essentially still. We are not art lovers. We’re your typical Americans who haven’t a clue about French history or even European history for that matter. We had no idea why the Mona Lisa is famous or what was so special about Venus de Milo and the Winged Victory of Samothrace. We came to experience the Louvre because it’s famous and the architecture is compelling. All I can say is that Manu did an outstanding job showing us the importance of Western art and how various forces in history have shaped it. I came away from the experience much enlightened, better informed, and with a sense of appreciation of art that I’ve never had. I’m a little disappointed in myself for being so ignorant of the various civilizations in history or the legendary stories that inspired their art (such as the Greek soldier who ran from Marathon to Athens). Manu made the tour enjoyable for our entire family with four kids ranging in age from 13 to 23. He would stop frequently to ask us questions about what we were seeing to get us to think about some of the subtle and not so subtle qualities of what we were looking at as an introduction to an important fact or lesson. Although my youngest was starting to fade towards the end (we arrived into Paris a little over 24 hours prior to the tour), Manu kept him engaged and interactive throughout. So in summary, I recommend this tour. I’m glad we did it. I’d probably do it again but next time I’ll try to book tickets further in advance in the hopes of acquiring them cheaper. I’d also recommend going earlier in the day so that you and your kids have plenty of energy to enjoy the museum (we attended the 1:30 PM tour but went to the mall down the road two hours ahead of time and burned some precious energy there). This was the perfect tour for my 8 and 10 year old girls. Paloma was very knowledgeable and entertaining, and was very patient with my girls’ questions and stories. We learned so much! We definitely recommend the tour and Paloma!

We loved our tour with Joachim (Joe) at the Louvre. Yes, the tour was significantly more than just booking the regular entrance with the museum but given the museum is so large, it was so nice to have someone guide through the maze of the Louvre. Joe asked us what our priorities were, and ensured he included those in his tour, along with some of his favorite pieces. He provided lots of facts and anecdotes, with enough sarcasm and wit to keep 4 teenagers entertained and engaged, during a heatwave with no a/c (a feat in itself). Having the tour really helped to make our Louvre experience more focused and enjoyable.
