Great tour with Adam! He is witty, funny and extremely knowledgeable. We learnt more than what we would expect of a typical tour. Skipping the queue is a great plus!

We had a great tour guide at the Louvre, fun and knowlegable, an art history specialist named Felix. He had great stories to share and made it very memorable. After hours was great as the crowds were lighter than during the day. Definitely a high point of our time in Paris.
The Lourve is a massive museum. We chose to do a tour with Walks Devour. So glad we did. We toured with Antone who was very insightful plus very funny and engaging. The group was small (10). The 3 hours was perfect . 5 - 8 pm the crowds are lower but it’s still somewhat crowded. We could hear Antone perfectly. We hit all the highlights plus stopped at some not so famous sights.
We would have never been able to see so much this museum without the presence of our tour guide. She was fantastic. Very knowledgeable and situationally aware.
Our guide, Hugo, was fun and entertaining and kept us at a good pace. The biggest advantage is that this is a very crowded museum and it would be difficult to navigate on your own. The guide experience helped us to use ore time wisely and see the museum with a different perspective. The afternoon time frame was perfect as the crowds had apparently “died down”. We were in a shoulder season and I cannot imagine seeing the museum at its peak hours or month! 10,000,000 visitors a year IMHO requires a guide and we chose well.
Horrific experience! I waited for the Guide for over one hour. The Guide never arrived at the meeting point.Viator has yet to provide an explanation as to why I was not fully refunded. This is extremely disappointing. Of course, this experience was sold out when I arrived at the museum. Therefore after purchasing this experience I then had to purchase a general admission ticket just to enter the museum. This is totally unprofessional and unacceptable.
Hugo, our guide, was phenomenal! He was so charismatic, informative and entertaining! Loved our tour and highly recommend our guide!
Our guide was EXCELLENT. He was so knowledgeable and passionate about the art and history. He pushed us to the last minute to see everything he could take us to. It was a bit difficult with all the stairs so you might advertise it as physically challenging. 75 years old with bad knees and it about killed me. But it was worth it.
Guide was knowledgeable and very nice! This was our second tour over the years and this was bar far the best. Recommend doing the later afternoon! Less crowded!
This was a great tour and our guide was wonderful. The length and time alotted was perfect as was our guide.
Our tour was fabulous. Our guide was knowledgeable and very funny. I would recommend this night everytime.
Thank you Stan for bringing life and sharing your passion for the special pieces held in the Lourve
We booked this directly with Walks/Devour who promised small groups of 5 to 7 people, intimate descriptions and discussions, and of course, "Closing Time" at the Louvre which meant fewer people and a guaranteed up-close viewing of Mona Lisa and everything else. It began at 2:00 on Sunday so we thought it must close early on Sundays, but it did not. There were 20 people in our small group and we spent the first 20 minutes of our Art Tour looking at the basement walls while he droned on about whatever while gesturing at the walls. as the guides' accent made him impossible to understand. It was NOT closing time, the crowds were enormous, and it was near impossible to even walk into the room where Lisa was hanging. We were able to access the descriptions and history of every piece we viewed via Wikipedia on our phones, while merely following the dope around and eventually, just let him walk off and leave us on our own. We would like a refund but they make it impossible to contact them after the fact, so keep that in mind. If you are not happy with your tour, too bad.
Great experience! Violet, our tour guide was amazing!! I highly recommend this tour and going in the event with less people.
Our guide was very nice but he spent too much time talking about the statues. I think some of us lost interest
Our tour guide made sure to focus on the highlights of the louvre as it is overwhelming. We had a few minutes to gaze and take pictures of the Mona Lisa. It was a great experience.
Chèr Hugo, what a wonderfully intelligent and meaningful tour of the Louvre. We loved the details in the paintings and sculptures brought to life with your colorful and humorous descriptions. A memorable tour from a thoughtful guide. Viva La Vida!
We had a wonderful experience on this tour. Antoine (hopefully that is the correct spelling) was our guide and he made the tour fun as well as knowledgeable. Even after a little security mishap he was able to get things back on track without missing a beat! 10/10 recommend!
This tour operator did a last minute change and was not there when 5 of us showed up early for this tour. They took our money and did not give the tour even though we were there.
This was a terrible experience. The tour operator was a no show. We gathered with others to wait at the designated spot, 30 minutes early. Our tour operator "walks - Paris" just did not show up and we did not get to visit the Louvre after paying over $350. No one could be reached at the tour operator and TripAdvisor does not have a way to follow up. Very poorly executed - we won't ever book anything with TripAdvisor again!!!!
The guide was wonderful. It was just so hot and so many people. That of course has nothing to do with the tour itself.
I cannot recommend this tour enough! Our guide, Violette, was super knowledgeable, passionate about art, humorous, and led us on an incredible path around the Louvre. I felt truly entertained and educated and it left me wanting to more - in the best way. Would love to tour somewhere else with her in the future and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.
Adam was amazing. He kept the group engaged and the group spanned a wide age range. He moved quickly but we never felt rushed.
Fantastic tour. Our guide, Ahmet, was very knowledgeable. He shared about the specific pieces and about the process and artists. The quicker entry in was worth the price of admission
Our guide adeptly and efficiently navigated us past the long entry lines and through the crowds to see the highlights of the Louvre in a short period of time.
Being at the Louvre at night was much, much better than being there during the day. Although, it still was crowded, it was not nearly as crowded as it would have been earlier. Our guide was wonderful. He was always aware of everyone in the group. He did an excellent job of describing what we were seeing and made sure we got to the Mona Lisa at a great time. He also announced at the beginning that he was going to go to the most important paintings, etc. in the first two hours so if anyone was tired they could leave at that point and see the most important things. He also made sure, everyone knew they were more than welcome to continue on with him to see more. I highly recommend this tour.
This was an excellent time and tour at the Louvre! Julie was an excellent and knowledgeable guide. I recommend this tour.
Goodness this was really cool. Our guide took us to spots that were great for photos. We got so much information during the tour. Metro tickets were included. Lots of walking
Violette was an excellent tour guide. She was knowledgeable, interesting, charming, lonely and kind. I highly recommend.
Out guide Philipe was amazing and very knowledgeable. He made the experience very interesting and entertainment
Adam was great and very insightful and yeah glad i got adam it was great and overwhelmong but in a good way
Adam was the most exceptional tour guide in all the museum tours we have done in Europe. Very engaging, enthusiastic and knowledgeable.
Experience that was made memorable by our immense guide / human, Adam: animal lover, engineer, ballet dancer, multilingual fellow, doctor, and my fellow Ontarian. Hard to miss with his tall and muscular stature. Friendly in greeting the whole group. He was knowledgeable, passionate and compassionate in the way he presented these pieces of art. In addition he had great sense of humour, elevating with pop culture references. He made this experience quite personable for even non-private group. Have Adam as your guide and the money will be worth it, your time respected, and it goes towards his rent and the care of his animals. Be sure to keep up with the tour, as he’s got a lot to offer throughout the halls. Big thank you once again to Adam. #TeamAdam
Adam was an amazing tour guide. Funny, knowledgeable and quite handsome too
Adam is a knowledgeable, animated, funny and informative guide. Great tour!
The tour started ten minutes late and finished twenty minutes early, and they were unwilling to refund any portion. There were long silences where nothing was said at several points, we were constantly being quizzed on things we were told (around 15 times, and it stopped being fun after the first time), there was nothing engaging, no one looked impressed. For the amount I paid for this I feel cheated by the experience - it was also incredibly uninteresting. The tour guide seemed like a nice person but she clearly didn’t want to be there.
Violette was incredible. She is an extraordinary storyteller with factual knowledge/ context/ perspective that afforded all of us a deeper experience. At the conclusion you feel like you’ve made a new very smart friend.
Our experience was excellent - Our guide was knowledgeable and really made the pieces we visited come alive with the history - She did a great job of intertwining the art, the artist, the museum and the county. The crowds were manageable, it was easy to find out guide and the pace and pieces we visited were great.
We loved this tour. The Louvre is massive, and we would have been lost otherwise. Our guide was so knowledgeable, and really made the pieces of art come alive. Going later in the day also made a huge difference. We were able to walk right up to the Mona Lisa without standing in any line. It is definitely a long tour, with a lot of walking (and steps) but I highly recommend it.
Violette was the perfect guide! Knowledgeable, funny, and personable, she answered every question we threw at her and moved us through all the hits in a smooth, logical order. Tour information is totally accurate; we were some of the last people in the room with the Mona Lisa at the close of the day. If you are visiting the Louvre, book this tour- its definitely the hack. You also get fast entry.
This tour was incredible. Antoine was so knowledgeable and passionate about the exhibits that we were captivated the entire time. The headsets made it incredibly easy to hear everything and to ignore the noise of the crowds. I would recommend this experience to anyone.
Our tour guide wore her microphone clipped to her lanyard and it was very difficult to hear her in the head set. We could only understand what she was saying if we were standing right next to her and took out our ear piece. We have never experienced this before. Most guides either hold the microphone to their mouth or wear a head set that has the microphone come around their face and is positioned in front of their mouth.
I was extremely disappointed in this tour. We did not see many paintings. The tour guide seemed to repeat herself. I felt like I was in an art history class that would end with a pop quiz. Ive been to the Louvre before. On that tour, our guide showed us many paintings without repeating himself or discussing the same painting for 45 minutes. I wont be booking any tours anymore.
Fabulous tour with Bellen. She was smart and engaging. A wealth of knowledge about art and French history. Highly recimmend! The Louvre is too big to see on your own.
Highly recommend! Our guide Hugo was fantastic! He is so knowledgeable! There is so much to see and he did a great job highlighting pieces and was an incredible story teller. Logistics were easy too - easy entry, locker to store our coats and bags, and way less crowded!
We couldn’t recommend Violette more highly. She is an entertaining, engaging and thoroughly knowledgeable art historian. As well as pointing out the famous pieces within the museum, she pointed out many other art works that we would have otherwise potentially missed. Her knowledge of both the history of the museum and the art within it were incredible and we will look for another of Violette’s tours the next time we visit Paris.
Violette was fantastic. I’ve done the Louvre highlights tour several times, and she made it feel completely new. She is a deeply knowledgeable art historian and an amazing storyteller, and she explained the art in a way that made me feel like I was learning it all for the first time. She also pointed out pieces I had overlooked on past visits and tied everything together brilliantly, connecting the architecture of the Louvre with the chronology of the artworks. One of the best museum tours I’ve ever taken.
Viollette speaks clearly so use of ear piece works well. She took sufficient time to orientate the group so we knew what to expect. Clear example was to wait for closing to see Mona Lisa as no large groups would be present. Absolutely correct. She certainly knew her art pieces and added to our knowledge with questions of us. All in all a great tour guide and someone we would ask for again.
My wife and I agreed that Adam was likely the best tour guide we have ever had, and we've had quite a number of guides for all kinds of activities over the years. From the beginning, Adam was welcoming and friendly and made a point to remember everyone's names in our group. He used to work at the Louve in a technical area and his vast knowledge of the museum, its history, and the artwork within it was incredible. However more than that he tried hard to make sure we would leave with some knowledge that we could take with us for the future, and delivered all of the information in an engaging and humorous way. He also knew how to navigate the museum to make sure that we were able to get a good look at the artwork despite the crowds, and to ensure that we saw sculptures from the correct positions to appreciate them and understand what was special about them. It was so interesting, I started taking notes so I could try to remember it all! We spent the most time looking at the Venus de Milos, Winged Victory of Samothrace, and the Mona Lisa, but Adam worked in time for a number of other paintings by Leonardo da Vinci and other pieces that have been pivotal for French history. I don't know if it's possible but if you can try to request Adam when you book your tour, I recommend you try! You won't be disappointed! Go Team Adam!
Violette was an absolutely outstanding guide for my visit to the Louvre. Her depth of knowledge was truly impressive, not just in terms of the artworks themselves, but the history, context, and the fascinating stories behind them that I would never have discovered on my own. She has a real gift for bringing the museum to life, turning what could feel overwhelming into an engaging and memorable journey. What made the experience so special was her passion. It’s clear she genuinely loves what she does, and that enthusiasm is infectious. Every explanation was clear, insightful, and perfectly paced. Thanks to Violette, I didn’t just see the Louvre — I understood it and connected with it. I would highly recommend her to anyone wanting a meaningful, enjoyable, and expertly guided visit. She transformed a vast museum into a personal and unforgettable experience. Would 100% book again on my next visit to Paris!
