Inés was a wonderful guide and made our tour a lot of fun. She had great historical facts and information about current events. Her jokes and demeanor kept us laughing throughout the tour. Highly recommend the free walking tour through Sandemans with Inés!

Ezra was a fantastic guide being entertaining and informative in equal measure. The anecdotal stories brought Paris’ colourful and dramatic history to life!
Innes was fantastic. She was engaging and memorable. I learned a lot but it was still fun. She did a great job keeping our daughter in the mix. The tour itself is great and gives you a good history of a few major points in Paris but having a guide that brings it to life is really what makes a walking tour great. She was a wonderful guide.
We joined the Free City Tour with Keara, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. She was engaging, charming, and genuinely funny, and managed to bring the city’s history and stories to life in such an enjoyable way. Keara shared a lot of fascinating information without ever making it feel overwhelming, and her lively storytelling kept everyone interested — including my teenage daughter, who usually doesn’t enjoy tours at all. The tour was fun, informative, and full of great energy. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a memorable and well‑guided experience.
Chris ... is a very good guide. Funny and very information. The pace is just right. Would highly recommend.
This tour was good. The guide spoke about the architecture of the buildings and pointed out key things His passion and information on the history of Paris and the buildings was great. He was funny and I enjoyed the tour. He was happy to answer all questions and give recommendations in the city for restaurants, sights, transport etc
Keara was a great host! She was incredibly knowledgeable, very enthusiastic and a great tour guide. She allowed for questions knew all the answers and made the tour fun.
It’s very good to begin with your trip to Paris. The tour guide was very friendly and kind, and the highlights were great
This tour was full of interesting history, stories, ant facts about present day Paris. We took it our first day and it was a great introduction to the city. Our guide was new to this tour format but did a great job. We were grateful that he has a mic so we could hear him well.
I booked with Sandemans because in other cities they have a limit of 15 people per group, not in Paris. Group grew to around 30 people which is way too many. Apparently this is normal. You are probably better to choose one of the paid for tours with a limit in people.
This is the second SANDEMAN walking tour I have done and both were fabulous. Keara was the best guide! Super knowledgeable and charismatic with a great attitude. Easy to understand and fun! Could listen to her talk all day! So happy with my experience.
It's been 9 months and our family STILL talks about how awesome Ezrah was. And, for reference, we're one of THOSE families that got a rail pass and went to several different cities during our trip. We did guided walking tours in each city we visited and Ezrah is the only guide we remember by name and also the only one we still talk about. I gotta warn you though- reserve your judgement about him until the end of the tour- because when he started out with his Colorado accent, I was ready to be disappointed because he wasn't native French. In fact, I felt so guilty about dreading the tour with him that I bought him some snacks and a water to make up for me being judgy. Boy was I totally wrong. Ezrah was an absolute star. I had my wife and 5 kids with me and he was the most incredible guide we've ever met. So Ezrah, if you read this- Tony and his family from Washington all think you're a superstar and you totally made our vacation incredibly special and created some memories that will last forever.
I love to walk over here at sunset because the place have a good aura and gave me positive energy and I can take a breath with la Scène
We enjoyed Ezrah’s tour, he is knowledgeable and engaging. Good timing despite the weather. We recommend. Many thanks
Keara was fantastic - erudite, informative, funny, energetic and full of personal suggestions for what to do in Paris.
We did the Montmartre tour with Keara and she was excellent! Would highly recommend. Group was around 13 people and she made sure everyone felt included.
Darwie was a great tour guide! He's a very engaging guide. He shared interesting history and made the tour fun with good anecdotes. Highly recommended.
I did a toir with Keara and I've never had a better tour. It was educational but in a very funny way, grabs the attention during the whole time. Definitely recommend!!
We enjoyed a delightful two and half hours in the company of Christopher who imparted his wonderful knowledge about the centre of Paris. He is an exceptionally well-read historian! His style of delivery and personable nature - not to mention his sense of humour - was a joy. Absolutely recommend and if you get Christopher - even better!
Keiara (?) was an excellent guide - very knowledgeable and thoughtful. It was an extremely hot day but she sought out shade for us as much as possible.
We had a fantastic 3-hour guided tour of Paris with Ezrah and couldn’t recommend it more highly. There were four of us in our group, and from the moment we met him, Ezrah made the experience fun, engaging, and memorable. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the city’s history and landmarks, and he shared it all with such passion, wit, and a great sense of humour. It never felt like a lecture – more like a lively, personal conversation with someone who genuinely loves Paris and knows its stories inside out. If you're looking for a personal and entertaining way to explore Paris, Ezrah is your guy. We all came away smiling, with a deeper appreciation for the city and some great memories. Highly recommended!
Great tour with Ezra, A knowledgeable and fun guide. He shared fun facts and historical info while keeping it light. Great tour!
Keara was very knowledgeable and put the information across in a fun way. She kept us in the shade whilst talking which was good as it was very hot
Keara is kind, friendly, and lighthearted. If you’re looking for a dry, deep dive into Monmartre history, go to Wikipedia. However, if you’re interested in quirky, sometimes dramatic, and always interesting facts, do this tour. Keara studied to be a teacher, and her engaging enthusiasm with personal experience left my teenage daughters and me hanging on her every word. Loved it! Highly recommend!
We had a walking tour with Ezrah - he was so much fun whilst being incredibly informative and knowledgeable, highly recommended, best way to see Paris :)
Hopefully you'll get Michael as the guide. He's an American in Paris but probably knows more about Paris than most Parisians. Enthusiastic, humorous, detailed and engaging with his audience. I could not recommend more highly. Best 2 1/2 hours I've spent in Paris. And I live here from time to time.
I did 3 Sandemans walking tours in Paris - Latin Quarter, Montmartre, and Central Paris - divided across two guides. I have done far better walking tours (both Sandemans and otherwise) elsewhere - Hamburg, Tbilisi, Athens... The dilemma I experienced in Paris is - the guides are upbeat and earnest, but the tours lack historical depth. We once spent 15 minutes discussing the minutiae of van Gogh’s family life when there were a dozen other things we could’ve seen in Montmartre. Some of the items listed in the original scope were never covered at all. No group introductions, no group photos, nothing that created camaraderie between the guide and tourists. I felt like they are doing this so frequently (they both mentioned they make a living off this) that every sentence feels rehearsed and the interactions transactional. I think the same guides could be smashing if they experienced some of the better walking tours and learned from them. As such, I’d rate these tours as ‘fine’ - not something I’d go out of my way to recommend.
Did the free tour of Montmartre with Keara and really enjoyed it! Learned a lot about the interesting history of the area (Van Gogh’s brother’s home, the Moulin Rouge, Picasso’s reputation, etc), and Keara is a very kind, funny, and helpful guide! Highly recommend.
Just wanted to say thanks to Keara who did a brilliant job on the main central Paris tour. Her passion and enthusiasm for Paris really shines through.
Ezra you are amazing! Thank you so much for a very entertaining and informative tour. We learned so much about the history of Paris from Roman times to present day we were captivated.
Dawie was a great guide. Our tour was a mix of seeing some of the city's highlights, behind the scenes stories of the city that only the locals know and all of this delivered through great story telling and great sense of humor.
Who knew you could laugh so much whilst walking around Paris in the heat! Dawie was hilarious whilst simultaneously so informative. He took us around all the main sites whilst imparting his local knowledge and history. A perfect way to orient yourself if you are new to the city.
Keara is was funny and knowledgeable. Shes from the US so native speaker without accent. Got to visit many places
Montmartre-not central Paris. Great tour with Ezrah on our last day in Paris. Took about 2 hours to wander the streets of Montmartre, ending at Sacre Coeur. We did not go in but you can. Ezrah pointed out such spots as the Moulin Rouge-explaining the history, the house where Van Gogh lived for a couple of years, the windmills which were a favorite artist subject, and a house that appears in Emily in Paris. This was our first ever walking tour and I'm glad we did it for Montmartre. Feel like we would have missed a lot just wandering on our own. Also saw the artist's square where you can have a painting or caricature done on the spot. Also the tour is free but the guides works for tips.
What a fun tour if you’d like to see the highlights with some humor and stories to go with it! Dawie was an amazing guide and took the time to give some history along with some fun interesting twists. We hit the key things and a few extras! Highly recommend if you get the chance!!
This was the 8th time I have gone on a Sandemons New Europe Tour and every time it's been great. Dawie is an amazing guide. Hilarious and full of great facts and very interesting stories.
We had a great day with Ezra, our tour guide. We did two tours with him, central Paris and Monmartre. He was very informative and engaging. Would highly recommend.
Harry was outstanding. He was a history major and it was apparent he was full of knowledge about this particular part of Paris.
Very very informative, but better than that, Keara was the most fun I’ve had with a tour guide, and I’ve been on a lot of tours. And she can handle the random questions thrown at her! So much fun!!
Keara was amazing. Wonderful tour guide that is so enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Hope everyone gets to take a tour from her.
Ezra was knowledgeable and funny. Even though I had visited and toured Paris before, I learned a lot of new things. I highly recommend this tour with Ezra!
Our tour guide was Keara (from Minnesota USA). She was a wealth of knowledge about everything we saw, presented info well, and was very entertaining about it. Always opportunities for asking questions. The pace was just right. If this was my company, I’d have her wear a red Sandeman’s knit hat/beanie so she was always easy to follow, and promote the business! A tourist not in our group caught attention of her engaging presentation and had to ask what tour she worked for.
Great tour in English seeing some sights and hearing some history . Easy to find location. Keara was charismatic and made the tour more interesting
Went on a free walking tour with Francesca. She was very knowledgeable & showed us most of the main sites of Paris & lots of history. She was very engaging & fun. At the end she gave us recommendations for things to see/places to eat/dronk. Walking tour was around 2.5 hours. Ideal for 1st trip to Paris. Highly recommend. Tip at the end.
Harry was knowledgeable & shared his love for the history of Paris. We learnt so much about Paris & he was friendly with a great sense of humour. Highly recommend this tour!
Having already done Sandeman walking tours in other cities and I’d also done the Paris walking tour a few years ago, I thought there was no better way for my parents to also do one for their first visit in Paris. We all really enjoyed the tour. Our guide Harry was really informative, engaging and funny. He gave a thoughtful explanation to the history of Paris which I don’t think you’d get from other tours. He had made such a good impression on my parents that they couldn’t stop talking about him and what they learnt for the rest of the day. 10/10 would recommend.
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our Central Paris tour today with Sandemans. Harry was our tour guide and he did an outstanding job providing wonderful historical context to each point of interest and offering much food for thought throughout. He was warm, engaging, extremely knowledgeable, and layed a great groundwork for us to continue exploring the city in more depth. Thank you Harry.
Harry was such an amazing tour guide! He was knowledgeable, entertaining, kind and charismatic! My daughter and I enjoyed the tour so much! Highly recommend it to anyone.
Harry was amazing tour guide! Very entertaining, kind, and charismatic! Even my teenager liked the tour and she usually doesn’t like tours 😅. Highly recommend Harry as a guide and this walking tour!
Keara was amazing! Her knowledge of the city was remarkable and her delivery was informative, interesting and entertaining. I would go on a tour with her everyday if I could! Highly recommend!
