Excellent tour and excellent tour guide! We really enjoyed it and were so happy to get a deeper understanding of the artwork. It made the experience much more meaningful.

Itinerary
Let's dive into one of france's most wonderful museums, the orsay museum. If you are visiting Paris, this is the one place to not miss. Meet your guide at the ' elephant sculpture' located just outside the museum, skip the long lines and discover a world of rebellious artists. In 1874, a group known as the Anonymous Society of Painters, Sculptors and Engravers presented an exhibition in Paris that would bring about a radical break from artistic conventions and launch one of the most popular movements in art history. Their works were considered scandals and critics would treat them as crazy. It’s hard to imagine, now, that the quality of brushwork or the choice of subject in a painting could shock viewers, but for 19th-century Paris, these paintings represented something akin to a revolution. In this visit both adults and children will discover not only masterpieces such as Manet's Olympia, Monet's Poppy field, Degas's ballet dancers or Van Gogh's bedroom but also a unique life story hidden behind each of these daring painters who fought to obtain recognition.

Great experience for my daughter and I. We learned in a fun way that made a big museum less overwhelming and enjoyable. I would highly recommend booking!
Cinthia was a wonderful guide for my children and me. She was able to adapt to both kids' interests and attention spans. Her Montessori training shines throughout the whole experience. I learned a lot as well! Book the tour - it's well worth it.
Great family tour with Damien. He kept us entertained while taking us to the highlights of the museum.
An outstandingly tour with Cynthia, an art history expert and teacher who made sure we understood the evolution of art overtime, starting with the classical representations, followed by realistic paintings, then impressionism, then expressionism. She taught us about the difficulties progressive artists faced in each. With acceptance from the establishment. This often resulted in impoverishment as the official art academies would not allow their innovative work to be shown and purchased. Progressive artist eventually, had to ban together and create their own shows in order to get their innovations seen by the public. The best tour I ever had.
Cynthia was amazing! Our whole family really enjoyed her and she brought the art to life. I would highly recommend.
I was in a hurry when I booked this and missed the part where we were supposed to purchase our own entry ticket. Nevertheless the guide waited and we started a few minutes late. Our guide (Cynthia) was amazing and successfully got our teenage kids to interact which is no small feat! I would recommend this tour.
This Musée is my favorite and I forgot you can buy tickets onsite. The only reason bought the tour was because I thought it was sold out! At times it’s better to be lucky than smart, as Cinthia Ramirez, our tour guide was truly exceptional with her knowledge, explaining the history and genuine passion for the Art in the museum. She is absolutely fantastic. I would have gladly paid double the price because of the value she brings to the tour.
Wonderful experience. Guide was exceptional, knowledgeable and a true professional Great all around and highly recommend this tour
Cynthia was a fantastic guide and made our d’Orsay experience truly memorable. Her knowledge of art history and the stories she told enriched our enjoyment of the artwork so much. Well worth the fee! Be sure to buy tickets to the museum ahead of time online to skip the long line!
We have a wonderful trip through time with Cinthia Ramirez. Her explanations were engaging, dynamic, illustrative and open-minded. We walked the masterpieces in the Musée d'Orsay in a clear storytelling way; she fulfilled our curiosity and left us talking all day about what we learned with her. My next time in Paris, I will book more tours with her. Thank you for sharing all your knowledge and passion with us.
We booked a 7 pm tour guide via TripAdvisor and bought our museum entry tickets accordingly. The next day the operator wrote and said a 7 pm tour wasn’t available. They eventually suggested a 1:30 pm tour guide and we agreed. On our way to the museum, they wrote and said the tour guide had train trouble and couldn’t make it at 1:30. The operator cancelled our tour. We changed plans and went to the museum at 5:30. While there, the operator called to say that they found a tour guide for 7:00, after all. At that point it was too late for us. We appreciated their effort, but it was surprisingly disorganized.
Cinthia is so knowledgeable and such a great storyteller, we learned so much about the painters and the French history. Highly recommended.
Cinthia was a fabulous guide. We learned so much. Don’t miss her insight ! Our 16 year loved the tour as well and we went back by ourselves to see more.
I booked the small group tour for my mom and I with Cinthia, and it was one of the best we’ve ever been on! We were blown away by her wealth of knowledge and exceptional story telling. Her engaging style, paired with the intriguing background information behind the artists and the paintings we viewed left us completely in awe! Due to the strikes, we were lucky enough to have the tour to ourselves, which we were selfishly so appreciative of. We loved the paintings that she chose to focus on, and the flow of the tour was wonderful. We didn’t want it to end! Do yourself a favor and book this tour, you will be so happy you did! You will leave the museum a thousand times more grateful (and informed) than you did when you walked through the doors! Incroyable et fantastique, merci beaucoup! :)
A really interesting and enthusiastic guide Cinthia made two hours feel like 20 minutes A wonderful way to see this museum - only wish we had more time
Excellent tour guide with extensive knowledge of art history. She brought it to life. Would highly recommend to those interested in the interpretation of the paintings.
Guide was extraordinary she new her stuff, she was our teacher in the world of art for 2hours. Very educational an interesting.
Cinthia was our guide to the Orsay Masterpieces. She is a gifted teacher, and her "lessons" as our small group tour went through the museum were very informative. As an art major, I learned many facts that I had not been exposed to when I was in college. She led us through the galleries, showing the development of art and the various techniques of artists from the mid-19th century through the early 20th century, when the Impressionist Movement got started. By focusing attention on works that were emblematic of a particular period or artist, she gave us an excellent overview of the art of the period. I can't recommend this tour enough for anyone who wants to learn about how the Impressionists, who are now so familiar and whose art commands high prices, came to develop the techniques that were misunderstood and reviled during their lives.
Our guide, Cinthia, was fantastic! So informative and engaging, moved us through the museum at a good pace and selected relevant highlights. The 2 hours flew by!
Gabriel was our guide. My wife and I love art but are very ignorant when it comes to artists and the meaning and stories behind art. So, when we go to museums, we always hire a guide. Our experience with Gabriel was phenomenal. He was well versed in the art we saw and knew about the artists, their lives, and their inspirations. He provided the background for each piece with his amazing ability to translate the ideas into wonderful word pictures to enhance the viewing. I would recommend this tour, and especially Gabriel, to anyone visiting the Musee d’Orsay.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND! We were greeted by our guide, Cinthia, promptly at 10:30. The private tour of our group of four was a wonderful experience. We have toured the Musee d’Orsay on two previous occasions, but we learned so much more from Cinthia. She is very knowledgeable and develops an interesting timeline of the artists and events of the age of Impressionism. Her passion for the artists of the time really shows. I highly recommend this tour with Cinthia.
Our guide, Damien, was wonderful! He was very informative, helpful, easy to understand, and engaging. We learned a lot and enjoyed our tour!
We did a two-hour tour of the Orsay with Cinthia with our three children 5, 7, 9. We were incredibly impressed at how Cinthia kept the kids engaged and how well planned the tour was. My husband and I were learning from her, and we were also seeing what a huge difference it makes to visit the museum with an expert who has experience with children. I only wish we had been able to do more tours with her.
Our tour guide was very passionate and she made sure that we can learn something from the tour. She’s very professional.I would highly recommend to get this tour.
Tour starting at 10:30. We arrived 5 minutes early and asked everyone in the square about your group with no results. Finally went into the museum tried to contact the guide with no response. The museum was really gracious in trying to help without success.
Cynthia is a storyteller. She brought the artists, their paintings and history to life. I felt like I went to the Orsay with a friend. The 2 hours were perfect. Well worth the money. Will do this again and I highly recommend it and ask for Cynthia.
Cinthia is the best! We had a great tour of the Orsay and we learned a lot. Cinthia is very entertaining and informative.
I was so pleased that I opted to take a guided tour. My guide was exceptional in presenting the history of the pieces of art and their painters. She kept me totally engaged with her wonderful insight into the art and kept me thinking by asking me great questions about what I was seeing in the different artist’s work. I absolutely loved her, the museum, and the art.
The tour was very good but beware that the price does not include the admission and you need to buy your own tickets. All 6 of us had no idea that this was necessary and it caused confusion and delays—I suggest that the tour company change this in the future. It makes no sense.the tour was very interesting and gave lots of great information about the history of MO and how it came about. Loved the tour!
I did a two hour tour with my 10 year old daughter and our guide Cinthia was truly great - we learned a lot and my daughter loved the stories and activities around the pairings. Highly recommend!
Great tour guide. We took the tour in Spanish. She is great, we could learn a lot about the historical context of the museum and the masterpieces. Cinthya es excepcional!!!
great tour guide Cinthia...she summed up the Impressionist Movement in understandable terms for non artists...keeping it interesting and moving at a perfect pace. We covered so much , a great learning experience and so enjoyable.
This tour could not have been better! Our guide was so knowledgeable and we were able to view the art without difficulty and had time to enjoy it. This was certainly the best way to see the masterpieces without a struggle and being overwhelmed! Highly recommended!
Cinthia was wonderful. Knowledgeable, personal, and informative. Thank you for a memorable evening! The tour was comprehensive.
Our Guide Cinthia was excellent. Knowledgeable, attentive, and personable. Thanks for a really great tour!
My wife and I were the only people booked for this tour today and our guide Cinthia Rameriz is well educated on the artists represented here in this beautiful building. We were informed of various aspects with the artists and their work on display and the acceptance or social impacts the work had etc. Cinthia was very informative and explained the different styles e.g. realism, impressionism etc in a easily understood way. I advise anyone wanting to visit the Museum to consider taking the guided tour. We came away with a more informed appreciation of art from this period!
Our tour through the highlights of the d'Orsay's masterpieces was terrific. Our guide Cinthia Ramirez has an extensive knowledge of all the artists whose work featured in this tour - their lives, their loves, and what motivated them at the time the works were created. With Cinthia's passionate explanations we didn't need any prior knowledge to really appreciate all that we saw, but we certainly came away wanting to learn more. Highly recommended.
Our tour with Cinthia Ramirez was a highlight of our trip to Paris. She is a teacher with a passion for art that makes the museum experience unfold in a vibrant and exciting way. She is knowledgeable and charming.
This tour with Cinthia Ramirez was truly one of the highlights of our trip to Paris. She is one of the most amazing knowledgeable tour guides of D’ORSAY Musée you’ll get. We highly recommend you request her as your tour guide. She’s a true historian.
I had a great experience in this guioded tour just because of the guide. Do not hesitate to take one especialy you are not an art specialist. Wonderful moments!
You do skip the entry and security lines and jump right in. After discussing the history of the building and museum, Cinthia provides a great explanation of the layout of the museum. Then you dive deep into several selected pieces that explain the development of expressionism. We got great photos from the picturesque locations. After the tour we stayed to see the remaining exhibit halls. So much better than an audio tour because she is so knowledgeable.
We recently had a very enjoyable and informative visit to the Orsay Museum with Cinthia Ramirez of Paris in Tour. She impressed us with her enthusiasm and very obvious knowledge of the Orsay treasures. Having the small group tour made the experience really special.
We had a great time. Cinthia Ramirez was fabulous. Very knowledgeable and made it interesting with facts about the artists and their work.
This is a must see tour and our tour guide Cinthia Ramirez was so knowledgeable and passionate about the works in this museum. She is not only a painter but an art historian that makes you aware of what was going on in the art world during this period.
As others have noted this tour begins and ends with the personage of Cinthia Ramirez. She ADORES her topic. For example, on our tour she saw a few paintings that were brought out of the museum's vaults and put on display for the first time in a long time. I'm telling you, if you told me I won the PowerBall I don't think I'd display as much happiness as Cinthia did when she saw those paintings! I also loved how she described conflict within the artistic community, conflict within the larger community and how each was represented in the paintings. Fascinating! Do yourself a favor a book a tour with this engaging, knowledgeable and fiery feminist!
We signed up for the 6 person, 2 hour tour of Musee d’Orsay. The first piece of good luck was my brother and I were the only clients and the second piece of good luck is we got Cinthia Ramirez as our guide!! Rather than assume all we were interest in was the Impressionists, Cinthia stressed the socio-economic and political factors that impacted the artists beginning in the mid-19th century and why their art was rejected by the establishment. I had only a passing interest in the art of the M d’O until Cinthia placed it in its historical perspective. Cannot recommend strongly enough!!!
My brother and I signed up for the 6 person guided tour of Musee d’Orsay. As luck would have it we were the only people on the tour and even better Cinthia Ramirez was our guide! She was super! She not only talked about art but went to great lengths to put it in the Socio-economic context of the times. When the two hours allotted for the tour expired Cinthia spent another 30 minutes to cover Van Gough. Highly recommend
We were a family of two kids in different age group. One was 15 and other was 10. Our guide Cynthia was excellent she knew how to keep the visit interesting and stimulating for the kids. We learnt a lot with Cynthia who was informative and experienced.
Cinthia was a perfect tour guide! Through her, my friend and I got to learn about the history of Paris in more depth. Her explanations of the artistic movements were very informational and interesting. Highly recommend!
