The location is fantastic, with Porte de Versailles Metro Station right downstairs on the left. The front desk staff are extremely friendly and always happy to help with anything from repairs to opening wine bottles. Our stay in the suite was wonderful—it’s surprisingly spacious with an extra-large bed. The soft lighting in the bathroom is lovely, and the bathtub met all our expectations. We enjoyed a genuine city view from the window, overlooking a huge skyscraper under construction opposite the building. The kids absolutely loved the swimming pool. There are so many perks, and our family of four had an unforgettable trip. The only downside is that the breakfast was quite pricey for our family. We would definitely book this place again if we visit Paris next time!
Absolutely unacceptable for a 4-star hotel. Severe safety hazards and abysmal service! I have never stayed in such a terrible 4-star hotel and will absolutely never recommend it. If you are thinking about booking this place, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. We stayed here for four nights, and our nightmare began on the second day when the elevator broke down. My partner and I were trapped inside the elevator for 40 minutes during a severe heatwave. The emergency bell was completely broken, there was no air conditioning, and no water. We had to yell for help ourselves, and it was only because other guests heard us and notified the staff that they even realized anyone was trapped. After we were finally rescued, the hotel manager promised compensation. Since our schedule had already been severely delayed, we told him we would discuss it later. However, when we followed up, the hotel offered absolutely nothing specifically for the trauma of being trapped in the elevator. To make matters worse, the elevator in Building M remained out of service for the rest of our stay. We had to climb the stairs every day, which were filthy and littered with empty wine bottles and trash that were never cleaned. When checking out, we even had to carry our heavy luggage all the way down from the 4th floor to the 1st floor by ourselves. On the second night, the entire hotel suffered a total power outage in the middle of the night. In the scorching summer heat, we were left with no air conditioning and received zero notification. I only found out because the heat woke me up, and to my horror, I discovered that the electronic room door locks had completely failed due to the power outage. This meant that anyone could have walked into any room at that moment. During this blackout, there were no staff members patrolling, and no emergency announcements were made. We had to walk down to the 1st floor ourselves just to find a staff member and figure out what was happening. On the morning of the third day, the fire alarm went off loudly at 6:00 AM. After a terrible night's sleep due to the power outage, we were instantly jolted awake. Once again, the hotel provided no announcements, no staff assistance, and no phone notifications. When we tried to call the front desk, we realized the room phones were completely dead. The alarm rang continuously until it stopped, and the hotel never bothered to clarify whether it was a false alarm or a real emergency. On the fourth day, the housekeeping staff took our room card out of our room without our permission. When we returned and found it missing, we called the front desk. Given that the elevator was still broken, we requested that a staff member bring our card up to the 4th floor. Instead, they demandingly told us to walk down the stairs to fetch it ourselves. Does a proper hotel randomly take a guest's room card from their room? The level of incompetence here is mind-boggling. Before checking out, we spoke with the manager regarding compensation. The manager only offered to compensate us for the blackout and the fire alarm—the exact same standard compensation given to all other guests, which was a refund for just one night's stay. We explicitly told the manager that we wanted to discuss compensation for being trapped in the elevator, but he kept repeating that our compensation would be exactly the same as everyone else's, nothing more. We couldn't help but feel that because we are Asian, our English isn't fluent, and we don't speak French, we were being discriminated against and brushed off. Why should we, who were trapped in a malfunctioning elevator, receive the exact same compensation as guests who didn't experience that trauma? Where is the fairness in that? This hotel has severe safety violations, structural hazards, and outdated facilities. To make it worse, the staff training is non-existent, and there is clearly zero maintenance of the property and environment. This place does not deserve a 4-star rating at all.
I was disappointed with my stay at this hotel. The room was very dusty and did not feel properly cleaned, which made the stay uncomfortable. I also found the customer support to be poor. The staff were not responsive or helpful when I raised my concerns, and the overall service did not meet expectations. For the price I paid, I expected much better cleanliness and customer service. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this hotel and would not stay here again.
The service was great. Athena was really nice and greeted us very warmly. We are on our honeymoon and we got upgraded which felt like a cherry on top. The tram station is right in front so it helped us with our day to day commute. A great stay overall.
