Hotel Prince De Conde

Seems more like scam hotel with great reviews. Made the booking on booking.com and few days after hotel asked to send them directly an email otherwise my reservation have been cancelled! I did so but asked why I should do so and an hour after I got cancellation message. Never saw as such and very worried since they have your payment info ———————- Update post Hotel response below: I fully understand that fraud could have happened and we all could have been victim of that. But it is needless to say that you could offer customer a recovery plan. You have not offered me anything like keep the price and your reservation. The answer I got was hotel is full for those days. So unfortunately I may tend to believe the fraud explanation but not offering remedy was not acceptable.

We booked a room that had a too good to be true price on Booking.com (20% of rates advertised on the hotel's website). It turns out it wasn't a real rate and booking.com canceled our reservation within 24 hours because their platform was hacked. This was inconvenient but not the hotel's fault. We received an explanation saying that they received 1500 fraudulent reservations through the hacked booking.com platform. As hospitality business owners ourselves in the US, the barrage of 1 star reviews they are receiving isn't fair and brings what seems to be a very nice hotel's overall grade down dramatically. We are leaving this review to counteract those reviews and hope they get this resolved quickly.

It’s a lovely small hotel with a phenomenal location on a quiet street off the Seine. We could walk to many of the big attractions (Notre Dame, Louvre & more). The room was small, yet serviceable. The king bed was a welcome sight! We celebrated our 35th Anniversary and they had champagne and a note in our room upon arrival. The staff were absolutely wonderful. Breakfast (French continental) in the morning and they would scramble some eggs if asked. Our room windows opened to the courtyard and several rooms open to small terrace outside their room. Our visit in April saw perfect weather and we loved having the large windows open. Would highly recommend the Prince de Conti to everyone.

What a wonderful experience it was to stay at this magnificent hotel!! We felt fully immersed in this luxurious modern - 17th century Parisien hotel, the decoration is top tier and extremely well thought out, even down to immersing the most youngest of guests with matching high chairs. Our children much appreciated the board games too! The staff are wonderful and most helpful, from the front of house answering any queries we had, to the porter and breakfast room gentleman cooking our eggs to perfection, a fabulous team indeed! Absolute gem of a hotel!!!
