We stayed 6 days and had a great time. Parking is close by and you get a 25% discount from the hotel. I celebrated my birthday and I got birthday cake in the morning and a decorated room later at the day. We had French balcony and looked on the church. Breakfast is great, but could use some more thin sliced cheese options. We loved the Parisian bread basket option. Rooms are cleans and being cleaned.

Some mixed feelings about this hotel... First of all - this is not a 5 star hotel, closer to be a 3 star hotel. The positive things - most of the team are very friendly and very helpful - we had an issue with our original room and they've managed it professionally. In addition, the location is nice. The bed is also of a high quality and comfortable. The negative things - as mentioned above, this hotel is far from being a 5 star hotel. Rooms are a bit outdated, there are no facilities and the bar is quite boring. There is a construction nearby, and while it is not hotel's fault, it would have been decent to notify guests in advance and let them decide if they want to wake at 7am due to construction noise... Overall we found the hotel to be overpriced and a bit disappointing.
My husband and I stayed at hotel de Nell when we visited Paris for our 1st wedding anniversary. What stood out the most was the exceptional service here especially by the front office manager, Jennie. She was super nice, warm and friendly and made our stay and anniversary very special. My husband was in touch with Jennie on the days leading up to our stay and she was very accommodating of his requests. Dennis was really nice too, he was very friendly and sweet. The deluxe room was spacious, clean and modern and location was amazing. We'll definitely be back soon.
We stayed at Hôtel de Nell for two nights and paid around €350 per night, booking a Superior Room directly through the hotel website. I want to be fair: the staff were very pleasant and the service overall was good. My main disappointment was the room itself and the mismatch between what the Superior category looked like online and what we actually received. I specifically chose and paid for a Superior Room because the rooms presented on the hotel website appeared bright and open, with several large windows and two washbasins. The two basins were particularly useful as I was travelling with my mother. Instead, we were given a room on the top floor. It had only one narrow balcony window, very limited natural light and just one washbasin. The steep sloping walls also meant that a significant part of the advertised additional floor space was not really usable. The room may technically fall within the Superior category, but it felt very different from the room experience shown online and certainly not what I expected for €350+ per night. I raised this with reception during the stay. The hotel was fully booked so they could not move us, and I was told to contact management regarding compensation. I subsequently asked for a 20% refund and, after discussion, was offered only 10%. I appreciated that they offered something, but given that the room lacked several of the main features that had led me to book the higher category in the first place, I still left feeling disappointed with the value for money. A couple of practical points for future guests: there was considerable construction around the area during our stay, so I would particularly not recommend arriving by car. Also, although the hotel is relatively close to Gare du Nord on a map, it is not especially convenient to walk there with large suitcases. Overall, this is not a bad hotel and the service was one of the stronger aspects of our stay. But at this price point, the actual room matters enormously. I paid luxury-hotel pricing and unfortunately did not feel that the room we received delivered a luxury experience.
I stayed at Hotel de Nell and had mixed feelings about the experience. On the positive side, my room was elegant, comfortable , and featured a lovely balcony, which I really enjoyed. However the nice room design was not very practical. There were lights everywhere that could not be fully switched off. For example, the toilet light remained visible from the bed through the gap under the door, and the television emitted lights that were constantly turning on and off during the night. The bathroom was also without a door, which may not suit everyone's preferences. Impossible to fully close the curtains, light passed through. In addition, when taking a shower, water tended to spread across the floor. The service could have been better. Upon arrival, the two reception staff members provided conflicting information and started arguing with each other. Overall, I did not find the staff particularly friendly. Breakfast was decent, but for a 5-star hotel, I expected something more memorable and refined. Overall, the hotel has attractive rooms and a stylish atmosphere, but there are several practical and service-related aspects that could be improved to better match its 5-star rating.
