We had an insane experience with Playa Roja Tours! ​The team is incredibly welcoming, friendly, and kind. They offer fantastic tours and the organization is perfect. ​We did the Ballestas Islands boat tour (we saw so many cute penguins and sea lions!), Paragliding, and the Buggy Tour in the Paracas Reserve—all were absolutely incredible and unforgettable. ​Thank you so much to the whole team!

We had quite a bad experience. Firstly, we were supposed to meet at 9:00 AM at their office. We arrived at 8:45, but no one was there. We waited until 9:10 and then managed to contact the person using one of the phone numbers that was written on a piece of paper on the wall. The guy said he was on his way and would take five minutes. After five minutes, someone arrived in a car and told us to get in, without even a smile or a “good morning.” He took us to another company that was actually offering the service, called “Let’s Go Travel Paracas.” A guy was there, and again, same thing, no greeting. He just showed us how to turn on the buggy and told us to follow him. We drove around, and from time to time he would stop at a location and say something like: “Hey guys, this is Playa whatever, I’m giving you 10 minutes to explore.” After just five minutes, he’d put his helmet back on, clearly signaling that it was time to leave. Later, we saw the same guy around the park with another group, also offering off-road experiences to them. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone looking for fun in Paracas.

A small group tour (4 x buggies) with 2 guides. They both interacted with group in English and Spanish. They volunteered to take photos for us. The buggies were in good condition. Take a face mask and jacket with you as it is dusty, windy and cold near the ocean.

Best way to visit the Paracas reserve without a doubt! Miguel was my guide. He was very easygoing and well acquainted with the reserve and gave me a lot of information about the place and the animals that live there! Definitely a great experience, couldn’t recommend more!

This tour company was top notch with customer service. They went above and beyond to make sure our day was perfect. We actually did 2 excursions with them. We took an 8am boat ride to the Ballistas and in the afternoon did the buggy ride. For the boat tour, they sent someone to walk us from their office to get on the boat. They stayed with us til we were securely on our way. For the buggy ride, they had a driver take us to the buggy carts and pick us up when it was over. We were really impressed.

This is the best way to see the area. Lots and lots of sand, but you do stay on a road. Be sure to wear a mask when driving to avoid the dust. Enjoy!!!!

This was fun! We took the cruise shuttle to town and we were met by a representative from Roja tours as we got off the shuttle. We walked to their office, about a block from the shuttle drop off. We had a 2 person buggy. David, our guide, led us to the Reserve and various photo spots. We practiced our Spanish with David and he practiced his English. FYI we expected sand--not so much. The terrain was more like grainy salt.

So fun! Highly recommend the mini buggy tour! Efrain was great! We had a wonderful time! It’s a fun way to see the reserve. They were prompt with pick up time and some of our best family photos are from this part of our vacation. Highly recommend!

Aside from the actual activity of driving the buggy’s, this tour was poor. I specifically booked the English tour only to be told the tour guide didn’t speak English. He told us nothing about where we were or anything about them. My tour was over an hour late getting started and didn’t last the two hours as I don’t think we went all the places we were meant to. Really, really shoddy experience.

We did it through Playa Roja Tours. A company that also has nothing noteworthy to comment on. The important thing was the local guide JOSÍAS who was wonderful. He made us have a spectacular experience. We will definitely recommend it.

In every place we visited there was a contact person to contact and wait for you. The tour with the buggy to the paracas reserve is very nice and really exciting the tour of the dunes of Huacachina...andrenal!! All seasoned with various stops to allow us to take pictures in the most suggestive spots.

Very good, recommended to do it as a couple, very comfortable and fast minibuggies. They can go with a wind cover in some areas.
