Panama City Tour, Panama Canal & Casco Viejo

The itinerary was very good. We got to see some significant sites on tour. Eduardo and the driver were very courteous, patient and we would definitely recommend the tour.

A great way to see main touristy spots , ie Panama Canal. Hotel pick up is wonderful and appreciated 🌸

Awesome experience! We had a great time,watching the ships cross the canal was awesome, the tour guide and driver were great at explaining and telling us about the history at the city.

The excursion was worth it especially if you are wanting to explore most of the city of Panama and the Canal.

The tour guide, very knowledgeable. Just a couple of suggestions: wait time for pick up; 25 minutes, unacceptable. I think the driver should wait maybe a maximum of 5/10 minutes for guests, if they don’t show up, leave. Tickets to the Canal should be bought by the company providing the tour in advance to avoid the big lines and wait, or advise and encourage guests to buy them online upon arrival.

Great to see the Panama Canal in action! Strolling on the Amador Causeway is a worthwhile trip. Excellent tour guide.

Please do this tour if you want an authentic Panamanian historical experience. Organizer is very responsive and tour guide (Leon) is very knowledgeable and attentive. The ride is also very comfortable.

It was great. Our guide, Eduardo, was excellent. Spoke fluent English and Spanish and gave info in both. Knew about history and areas, answered all questions, made us feel safe, was patient, gave tips on other things to do and places to go and how to get there without being a salesman. Just helpful. Super nice young man. Lots of smiles and laughs while seeing and learning about Panama. On request they also picked us up from Playa Bonita at our resort. Only a little bit extra and did not ask for anything more. Our driver, whose name I am sorry to say I forgot, was amazing. Quiet and focussed on the road which was great cuz the roads are super busy with everyone going every which way. He did it expertly and fast. I would highly recommend booking with them. Also, if you want to be dropped off at a spot along the way and go from there on your own - that’s ok too. Some people on the bus did that. Ooh - DO see the movie at Mileflores lock. Not worth the money! The guide provided information in Spanish 90 percent of the time. He was talking about politics which made me uncomfortable. He was not engaging, we had to keep on asking questions. The bus was so loud, it was a waste of my time in Panama. Worst tour I’ve been using Viator.

Be on time for pickup. Excellent English speaking guide & wonderful driver through some very narrow streets. We were lucky to get to the Panana Canal in time to see a big ship being guided through the Canal. IMax movie excellent.

The tour was approximately 5 hours as advertised. We learned quite a bit about Panama and are looking forward to learning more in the future! We feel the tour was a good value and we had several photo opportunities throughout the tour.

Juan was friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. However, we were not informed that the tour was bi-lingual, with everyone else being Spanish speakers. We felt we didn't get the full picture that the others did. Juan was lovely and tried to make it as equal as possible, not always successfully.

Juan made our experience unforgettable. We learned so much and saw the not so traveled path of Panama City as well (such as the administration building). We had a private tour so we were able to spend the time how we wanted. We skipped the movie at the canal to spend more time in Old Town.

The canal part is amazing but if you can find another way to go then do so. The tour started badly in that the pick up was confirmed at my hotel then less than 24hrs ( so couldn’t cancel for a refund) was told that we needed to get a taxi to a pick up location it’s not the money as very cheap but just annoying make it clear when you are booking. The main language was Spanish ( shame that wasn’t made 100% clear when booking) the tour also was disjointed a few people on the tour didn’t now what the next stop was. The canal part was just a drop off and pick up hence a taxi would have done. The remainder of the trip felt like it was just padding out the tour. The actual English guide was pleasant enough but the Spanish guide took over we appreciate we are in a Spanish speaking country but overal not the best experience considering all the other tours we have previously booked

Our Guide was Juan and he was very knowledgeable, kind and very accommodating. The driver was Altero (I am not sure of the spelling of Alteroname). Altero was also very nice and accommodating... My family and I really enjoyed both Juan and Altero... Keep up the Awesome Job and we will definitely patronize this company again..Merry Christmas and Feliez Navidad.

The experience lacked nothing. Very informative and we got to see a ship pass through the Panama canal. Elena was the absolute best guide ever. Her vibes is unmatched, bubbly and genuinely cared. She made me regret not booking more excursions. 10/10 hiiiggghhhlllyyy recommend.

It was informative and well organized. We had an English speaking guide who explained and answered all our questions. He was very friendly and polite. The tour guides were very knowledgeable and attentive to our needs. Overall the tour was well structured and I would recommend it to any visitors to panama.

It was good overall, but they arrived 40 minutes later than scheduled, which delayed the tour. Because of that, we missed the full moment when the ships cross the canal, by the time we got there, the boat was already leaving.

I thought it was odd to take us to the canal and then make us pay $17.22 for the ticket. I thought the $45 should have included these admissions to the canal and film. If we hadn’t paid what were we to do there? Some travelers said their package included those things but my leader Juan said mine didn’t.😟

Pros: made all the promised stops plus a few more for photos. Lasted longer than expected (more than 5 hours) Cons: I learned very little about Panama or Panama City from the guide. Wikipedia is much, much better. I learned the basics about the Panama Canal from the guide and the rest from the movie at the locks. No ships were in the canal while we were there. The guide said one thing in Spanish then contradicted himself when he said what was supposed to be the same thing in English. The “artisanal market” was really just a few booths selling souvenirs. It would have been cheaper and almost as useful to Uber it to all those places, even as a solo traveler. Sad.

I felt rushed and we paid extra for English language why ?but the tour was very informative I will recommend for sure 👍

It was great to an extent except for not being able to see any ship passing through the locks. My advice is to change the order of the sights to coincide with this event. If there is no ship at 8.30am then visit the canal at 1.00pm to give your guests that experience. I and my family were really disappointed and thought that it was money wasted. On the other hand your explanations were fantastic and you did excellent. Consider my suggestion. Thank you.

Juan was great at showing us around the canal and the top sightseeing spots around Panama City! He explained things very well in English and Spanish and had a smooth experience throughout

Doesn’t follow what is advertised at all, timeline and language completely off. Horrible customer service, the guide tried to help us with the issues but the operator was very rude and refused help or a refund.

The experience was good. Very knowledgeable tour guide. Kind and helped us take pictures. The bus was OK. I suggest they invest in a bigger one. The tour said they'd return us from our departure point on viator. We got dropped off by the mall. Not bad because I wanted to hop back there but it still wasn't what was agreed to. The canal has a time limit. The visit there didn't yield a ship going through or being a le to see the movie in its entirety. Great service and the marketplace for handmade goods was lovely. I bought a really cool knife and trinkets for my family. I got to see Casco Viejo which was also a grand experience. I would do it again.

The pick up was 15 minutes late, but they notified me they would be late. The overall trip was informative and educational. I didn't realize the cost of the canal is separate from the cost of the tour. I don't know if I missed that when I purchased the tour. The guide was helpful and friendly.

I had an amazing time ! Our bus was on time, our guide was very friendly . We got to visit all the places they promised( our guide even volunteered to take pics of us).

This was an amazing tour. My first visit to Panama and I am excited for future returns. The tour was very edifying. The tour guide Juan was extremely knowledgeable and he made the experience worthwhile. The driver was also very good , he took us safely and returned safely.

The tour was missing components. We were able to see the canal in action which was cool. I feel we drove past interesting statues and landmarks that could have been substituted for the missing components. The bus was a little janky and not conditioned well enough in relation to the heat. The guide did his best to balance native speakers and English language speakers, I respected that... Overall, I don't think I would take this tour again.

The tour was the favorite part of our trip. Staff was extremely professional, friendly, and knowlwdgable.

Really enjoyed this tour, it was super informative and taught me a lot of panamas history , the tour guide spoke Spanish and English and showed me all the best spots to visit I would recommend to anyone if you want to learn more about Panama.

The tour guide was poor did not do a good job. When we got to canal there were no vessels passing through cause we missed it. We only got a couple of minutes in the old town Casco Viejo could not walk anywhere he just let us out in square did not explain anything. You could have done it by yourself was a complete waste of money. He went to Allbrook mall twice he wanted to end the tour there instead of going back to hotel. It felt more of a taxi ride than a tour.

One of my friends left their expensive designer sunglasses in the tour guide's car, which he returned to Fascinating Adventures Travel S.A. We contacted them to help us ship it, and we will cover the cost. We never heard from them again. It was my first time visiting the country, I will never be visiting again.

The driver was very informative and was very professional!! He made sure you knew what time to meet him back at the bus and made sure everyone was accounted for

Great service and good communication. Very good value for money and the tour is very complete, I would just spend less time in shopping places and more on landmarks like casco viejo. My guide gave us very good explanations during all tour about the history of the places.

Tour was good. We had a lot of time to visit each site. Tour guide was patient in letting us take photos and explore. Driver was knowledgeable about the sites and history of Panama. Monica did a good job translating. Overall I would recommend this tour, just be sure to bring your own snacks/water because they aren't provided.

Our guide was great and told us a lot about Panama. He was also great with our three children and engaged them. We enjoyed the visit to Panama Canal, but would have preferred to stay there a little longer. The IMAX 3D movie was great. Then we did a tour around the old town and some other sites. It was a good introductory tour of Panama for our one day lay over.
