What a wonderful experience this was. Oliver has encyclopedic knowledge not only of the canal and old town but of the history of Panama before and after it's status as an independent country. I even learned some history about the US. He is a living history book. He is very personable and made us feel very welcome. I can't remember the last time I felt so immersed in a tour. Not only did we enjoy the tour but there were many moments of just getting to know one another, sharing stories, and laughing. If I could give Oliver 100 stars, I would. DO NOT SKIP THIS TOUR!!!

My family and I had an excellent time with Oliver. He was very communicative even before the day. He picked us up at our hotel, we travelled in comfort he was engaging, knowledgeable, kind and answered all our questions even those unrelated to the sites we visited. He made excellent food recommendations and acted as our translator when we needed as well as our photographer. By the end of the tour it felt like we had found a friend in Panama. Day well spent.

It was an informative tour. Oliver was very knowledgeable about Panama. He was on time to pick us up and he was very engaging throughout the tour. He was flexible and gave us options to choose from. Our tour consisted of the Panama Canal, Amador Causeway and Casco Viejo.

The tour guide lost us at the Panama Canal and decided not to give us a tour of Casco Viejo but instead showed us high rises, other hotels and parking lots

Our group of 4 had a wonderful experience on our private half day tour of Casco Viejo, Amador, and the Miraflores gate of the canal, and we learned so much from Oliver about the history of it all. Oliver was professional, communicative, friendly, and engaging. He accommodated our timing, and he ensures each group arrives at the canal at the perfect time to see a ship pass through the lock (he even showed us how he uses an app to track the progress of the very ship we would later see at Miraflores). Our guide, Oliver, was very personal and professional. He showed us Old Town, marina and Panama Canal. He was able to accommodate our group of 7, ranging from 4 years to 77 years. Kudos to him.

We had the wonderful day with Oliver, our guide, who was extremely knowledgeable, informative and flexible to adjust to our interests (and with excellent English). We enjoyed the whole tour, around the old town, out to Amador, and at the canal. Just what we’d wanted! Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this tour.

I can honestly say that our tour guide - Oliver, was genuinely enthusiastic about the subject matter of Panama City and the surrounding region, which made the experience more enjoyable. Oliver is very approachable and friendly and was able to relay information in an understandable way. He used storytelling and historical facts to bring Panamas history and culture to life. Oliver was well prepared with in-depth knowledge of the sites we visited like the Panama Canal, San Felipe, Casco Viejo, Amador, Caledonia, Old Town and much more. My Panamá Canal excursion by Panamafun was a wonderful experience for my family and I! Our tour guide Oliver was the absolute best! He was very pleasant, patient, considerate, knowledgeable, sociable and perfect English; even after returning to Jamaica days after the excursion we still talk about how nice he was 😊 I highly recommend Oliver and Panamafun for any excursion in Panama and most definitely would use their services again when we visit Panama in the future. Our tour included touring the old city where we visited ancient, modern and government buildings, the hat street, learnt of the country’s history and culture, take pictures and purchase souvenirs from Tainos and Shops along the way. We then went to the Amador Causeway which was beautiful and our final stop was Panama Canal. The Panama Canal was an eye opening experience for us as we had no prior knowledge. We got there at the perfect time to witness 4 ships then watch the movie. Oliver wanted to make another stop but because of our limited time in the country we had to cut our day short to engage in other activities. Other tour guides might be strict on the duration of the tour or become impatient but not Oliver, he is the best! I will recommend to every friend I have visiting Panama for many years to come! “Big up yuh self Oliver!”

Oliver drove us to the Miramar visitor center and helped us get a good view of the last ship transiting in the morning. We saw the IMAX movie about it and then he drove us through the city to the old part of town. It was lovely! We needed a bite to eat and he suggested empanadas, they were so good, made even better with a cold bottle of Panamá beer:) Oliver is so knowledgeable about the history of Panama, his English is very good and he is easy to talk with. We learned a lot about Panama, and we would like to come back some day!

They left me hanging; they never came to pick us up. I called the tour number that was supposed to take us, and they never answered, panamafun. The only ones who responded were from Viator; unfortunately, they could not find another guide for our tour. They ended up processing the refund. We took the tour looking for an Uber that took us to the Panama Canal and drove us around the city.

We were cancelled a few hours before, without any explanation. Dismal service. We are still waiting for the refund of our money paid several weeks in advance.
