I just found that I never published this review so am taking time to get it out there even many months later because my experience was so fantastic!!! We had an incredible day biking around, learning about the history of Panama, hearing stories, and getting endless recommendations on restaurants & places to visit & more. It instantly felt like a small group of friends vs a tour, and we extended & then all decided to go for food & drinks after. It was so clear that Elena & her husband have so much love for Panama City & the places they share & bring so much authentic joy as they bring people around. I recommend them to anyone & everyone who is lucky enough to visit Panama City & see it through their eyes!! ❤️❤️

It was amazing! The tour guides were wonderful, big up Elena and the honorary Jamaican, Aron :). My friends and I had so much fun! Was a great way to see some of the communities and local spots in the city. Definitely worth every dollar.

Had an awesome bike tour through Casco Viejo with Kowalsky as our guide. She did a great job — knowledgeable, fun, and kept the group moving at a good pace while still making sure we saw the highlights and learned about the history of the area. Really enjoyable ride through the old town. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a bike tour in Casco Viejo.

Amazing food tour! We were blown away with the guides, food and experience. We do these in every country we visit and this was unique. They bring you to local vendors so you try the real good stuff while putting your money in the right place. Our time with this group made our trip. Do yourself a favor and book a tour.

Great way to start your experience in Panama City: you get a great view of the history, a lot of information about the local population and the challenge they are working hard on it. Many, many recommendations of what to do, where to go and very importantly what to eat!

Elena is a very enthousitic tourleader. The bikes are wonderful en she told a lot about how Panama has existed. We visited nice places! Will do it again!

My wife and I have taken a number of urban bike tours, Madrid, Buenos Aires, Paris, and Montevideo among them, and Elena’s tour of Panama City was among the very best. Her tour was distinguished by her connection to a city she clearly loves, for she not only took us around the tourist mecca of Casco Viejo, but the dilapidated neighborhood that was Casco Viejo before it was gentrified, and through her own more working-class neighborhood. Accompanied by both her brother and husband, she provided a local’s perspective of the city and guided us to places that I doubt we would have discovered on our own. An added bonus was the juice, coffee, and ceviche tastings that were part of her tour. The bikes were among the best maintained of the tours we’ve taken.

First of all, the tour company is a family owned company. Great, friendly and knowledgeable. Please be advised, you need to be experienced and comfortable riding a bike in traffic. There are a lot of cars and people walking on foot which you will need to navigate thru. I do recommend this tour, but be aware of the note above.

The length of the tour was a little under four hours. Lots of stops and information. We enjoyed the different juices and ceviches along the way. What a nice way to spend a Tuesday!

I’ve traveled to over 40 countries and been on countless tours, but this bike tour in Panama was truly something special — hands down one of the best tours I’ve ever taken. What started as two strangers showing up for a bike ride turned into an unforgettable 10-hour adventure. Melena guided us all around the city with so much knowledge, passion, and genuine care. We made stops, explored hidden corners, learned so much about Panama’s history, culture, and food scene — and somehow the time just kept flying because the experience was that good. By the end of the day, the tour group along with Melena was sharing dinner, drinks, and even celebrating Thanksgiving together ! If you’re in Panama, don’t think twice — book this tour. It’s an absolute must. I wish Melena and the Paradox company all the success in the world!

If you only have time for one tour to do this is the one ! Jonathan includes History, biking, small bite tastes at food halls and a great time was had by all of us!! We bought plenty of local items and can’t wait to take them home and enjoy them.

My husband and I visited Casco Viejo for the second time recently, and wanted a dive into the history of the town. This bike tour was more than we could have ever asked for! Elena was friendly, knowledgeable and kind in her presentation to us! She took the time to answer our questions, and we felt like we were her friends by the end of our journey! I wasn’t sure what to expect at first—combining biking and food sounded unusual. But I was completely wrong! Yoratan, our guide, is not only incredibly knowledgeable about Panamanian gastronomy, but also about the country’s history and culture, which made the whole experience so unique. We tried around 12–14 different flavors, always in small bite-sized portions so we could keep riding comfortably without feeling heavy. Every stop felt like part of a bigger story, showing us that Panama is full of contrasts—both visually and gastronomically. What I loved most is that beyond the food tastings, Yoratan also shared insider tips: great restaurant recommendations, foodie magazines, jazz clubs, the best happy hours, mojitos, and cocktails. It’s more than just a bike and food tour—it’s a complete cultural experience. Highly recommended!

Firstly, i am entirely glad that i chose to book this bike tour! It is arguably the best way to explore Panama; the Casco de Viejo area and surroundings , as well as to learn the history of Panama and sample different foods from Panama. Our guide, Daniel was extremely knowledgeable about Panamanian history and culture and did an excellent job as our tour guide. He is also clearly respected throughout all the areas that we visited. Highly recommend this tour. Once you can ride a bicycle, love history and food from different cultures there is no better way to explore Panama

Jhonathan and his wife “kowalski” showed us the real Panama. Local flavors and the “real” neighborhoods! Told us a little about their culture and history. We went to markets, vendors, monuments, murals and the not so “tourisy” side that all tourist would want to see!!! So honest! So humbling, so Panama!

Jonathan was an ideal group leader. He was informative, thoughtful, and helpful! We had a thunderstorm during our tour and he did everything to make sure we had a safe and fulfilling experience. We had a great time with Jonathan exploring more of Casco Viejo than we could have done ourselves. It’s a perfect way to explore, get a bit of exercise (seriously not strenuous, basically totally flat) and you get to try all sorts of foods. Loved loved the coffee stop in the market (buy something after you sample, best latte we had) and amazing fruit juices. Just try to remember the one you liked best - hahaha! He also gives great tips on where to eat and further explore in the city. Enjoyed very much. Bring lots of water and sunscreen. It’s hot!!!

Really good way to see the city, fun and enjoyable, the guide gave us lots of treats trying experiences and the radio system worked super well so we could hear him really easily without disruption when cycling etc.

This tour went above and beyond my expectations. Jonathan is a local tour guide with extensive knowledge providing very interesting history and insights of the city. Majority of what he shows and tells you would be otherwise missed by tourists and brings such an interesting perspective. You also get to stop and sample different Panamanian food and drinks throughout the tour. Would highly highly recommend!

Really enjoyed the tour with Jonathan! Having the ear piece was great so we could get information as we cycled around. He answered all our questions and provided insights into Panamanian culture, gastronomy, politics, etc. It was a hot day but we took lots of breaks and we were well looked after by Jonathan.
