We previously visited the Atlantic side of the canal with Roderick and Davis. They planned a very seamless day two for us; first to the Biomuseum where Roderick proved that he was quite knowledgeable, then to our "Kodak moment" at the Panama sign, followed by a delightful lunch at local restaurant. Our final stop was at the Pacific side of the canal (a must do). They dropped us off at our lodging, after a day well spent, looking forward to our next visit to Panama.

Itinerary
As we cruise through the city, we enjoy the beautiful coastal view and admire the stunning skyscrapers and buildings.
We are going to drive through The Amador Causeway, which is a 4-kilometer avenue that links the mainland part of the city to four islands - Naos, Perico, Culebra, and Flamenco. The avenue's construction was accomplished using materials extracted during the building of the canal. The views of the city, the Bridge of the Americas, and the passage of ships entering or leaving the canal are breathtaking. At night, the view of the Amador Causeway is spectacular. The avenue has several restaurants, coffee shops, and ice cream parlors, as well as a bike path. At the end of the avenue, visitors can find the famous Panama sign, which is perfect for taking photos.
We will cruise Vía España, which must be one of the busiest and most essential streets in Panama City, always full of vehicles and many people going this way and that way. Many businesses, famous brand stores, many restaurants, and fast food outlets. At some point during the day, everyone will surely pass through this road in the city
Admission to the Miraflores visitor center includes a 3D film about the history and operation of the Panama Canal, narrated by Morgan Freeman. Check out our new Miraflores Locks observation deck for exceptional views of the Canal operation. The modern design and strategic location provide a unique experience to closely observe the fascinating transit of ships through the iconic century-old locks.

I had such a wonderful experience exploring Panama with Ricky! Since I was traveling solo, feeling comfortable and safe was especially important to me, and Ricky made the entire day so easy and enjoyable. We visited the Miraflores Canal Locks, Amador Causeway, and the BioMuseo. Ricky was incredibly knowledgeable and shared so many interesting details along the way. I especially loved that he went beyond the usual tourist stops — he took me to a local fish market and then to a great local restaurant where I had some delicious, fresh fish. It made the experience feel much more authentic and special. Even while visiting the BioMuseo, Ricky made the experience more interesting by showing me pictures of some of the animals we were learning about and sharing additional information along the way. He was friendly, patient, knowledgeable, and made me feel very comfortable throughout the entire trip. As a solo traveler, I really appreciated that. I would definitely recommend Ricky to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, thoughtful, and personable guide to explore Panama! 🇵🇦
Awesome tours my tour guide was prompt patient kind she went above and beyond Aura and I took pictures together laughed and clowned She took me to a tour spot that wasn’t on the agenda introduced me to some other great people we ended with lunch A must do tour
We had such a great time on this tour! Ricky was an amazing tour guide and shared so much information about the history and different places along the way. Highly recommend!
What a wonderful tour! Jose was knowledgeable and so accommodating for our family. We traveled with our family of 5, including our 4 year old son and teenage daughter who was recovering from a knee injury. He knew all the ins and outs of everything and helped us ensure our experience was top notch, starting with great communication even before he picked us up from our hotel. I highly recommend booking this experience!
This tour wasn't enough time. just to watch one ship through the locks and the IMAX movie was not worth the money
Biomuseo and miraflores lockes tour. Guide was wonderful but staff at miraflores lockes were rude, disrespectful and escalated drama rather than de-escalating a misunderstanding. I would recommend Julio but the staff at welcome center made it anything BUT welcoming
Julio was a great guide. Very knowledgeable about the Panama Canal and helpful with what restaurants to go to
Julio was a great tour guide. He was punctual, kind and knowledgeable.
Eric, did a great job ensure the experience was smooth. I would recommend this as an easy way to see Panama City. Locks were amazing.
Our guide (George?) was very helpful and informative. It was very busy at the lock and we were grateful that our tall guide accompanied us at the lock and guided us through the procedures. The bio museum was interesting, the drive along the causeway too with advice about cycle hire also very helpful. Altogether a good tour!
Awesome experience!! Seeing the Canal up close was amazing! Imax and museum was great tok Learned a lot from the tour guide Ricky. Was really fun. Will Definitley book another tour with them before I head back to the states.
I’m a very positive person (you can see that the vast majority of my TripAdvisor reviews are 5.0 and very glowing), but this tour was disappointing for several reasons. Let me be clear that my comments are not directed at the guide, Maylin, who was very nice and pleasant, but to the company who put it together. First, the driver was 15 minutes late to pick us up (the guide was on time), which was surprising because every other driver had already told us that everyone in Panama City knows to plan for bad traffic throughout December, which is the height of the tourist season. This meant that we arrived at the Miraflores locks later than normal, meaning we barely had time to watch one ship (a Windstar) go through the locks before rushing to the imax movie, but more importantly, that all of the viewing spots along the rail were already taken, so that we couldn’t get a good view of the action. After the film (which was very good), our driver was again late (a miscommunication meant that the guide thought the driver would be staying in the parking lot, but he actually went to run another errand, so we were stuck waiting in the humid weather in the parking lot for another 20 minutes). The driver’s lateness these two times resulted in us getting back to our hotel at 1:10pm rather than 12:30, and we were starving. In addition to driver lateness, there was misleading information. First, the tour says that bottled water is included, but when we asked (while waiting outside in the heat), there was none available. Also, the tour when we booked it several months prior (see my attached photo) listed the only exclusion as the $17.22 per person ticket for the locks, but we were also asked to pay $20 each to enter the bio museum, which increased the effective price of the tour by $40, a not insignificant amount. I understand that the tour may have changed their inclusions, but we should have been notified about the change from our original booking, and they also should have honored the price/inclusions from our original booking. I wrote a note to contact the operator through TripAdvisor yesterday, but have not heard back. In terms of the value of the tour, it felt like the commentary at the Biomuseum was not really helpful, and we could have done that museum on our own, using the guides there and the interactive exhibits. Similarly, although there was good information about the locks while waiting for the late driver and on the way to the locks, the scene at the locks (because we ran late) was hectic, we couldn’t see well, and the rush of people going into the movie meant we lost our guide temporarily and just found our way to the movie, though she eventually caught up with us. Overall, it felt like we paid mostly for transportation (which was late), and the added negative of the extra $40 for tickets and the lack of bottled water (we didn’t bring any because we saw that it was included in the tour) made the experience somewhat disappointing (though both sites are worth visiting).
Charles did a tremendous job explaining his country to us as we traveled to our destinations. Very informative and knowledgeable. He knew when to have us at different locations to maximize the experience.
Julio had remarkable knowledge of all places that we visited, especially the Biomuseo. He had a good grasp of Panama's history and the history of the canal. He was a very experienced driver and was flexible with our time. He had great english skills. His van was clean and a reliable form of transportation.
Aura was a wonderful guide. The tour was a bit challenging due to rain. Not a drizzle but very dark clouds with big downpours off and on so she timed our in door activities when it was raining and when we were done inside the rain outside wasn't bad. She was aware of the timing for ships traversing the locks and made sure we didn't have a long wait and even sent me a video of it moving through the locks. The bio museum was interesting and there was plenty of time to see all of it. Aura also gave me some suggestions for restaurants near my hotel which was helpful. For me the highlight of the tour was the canal.
Aura was an exceptional and knowledgeable guide. We had a wonderful time at the Bio museum. The Miraflores visitor center was also wonderful. The iMax film was great. We had a bonus of a small sailing ship with a large ship in the lock.
The whole tour was a wonderful experience. The pickup was punctual. Aura was an exceptional and knowledgeable guide and also extremely accommodating to our needs.
Tour was an amazing. Tour guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and fun. On time pick up, perfect timing to see two ships go through Panama Canal. She was very accommodating and attentive to our needs.
Our guide Am was really a great person a nice person and she showed us all the stuff we wanted to see we went to this great museum and then we went to the locks and she was just so full of information we couldn't have asked for a better tour guide I highly recommend that you book this and the driver Carlos did a great job getting us there and getting us back we couldn't have asked for a better experience
Tomas was a great tour guide. Very informative and the city, the locks. He always had plenty of cold water for us too. Definitely recommend this tour and Tomas was fun.
Exploring the Panama Canal with our tour guide, Bill, was an unforgettable experience! Bill was not just knowledgeable but also friendly and engaging, making the tour both educational and enjoyable. The Panama Canal itself is a must-see engineering marvel, and Bill's insights brought its history and operation to life. Additionally, he offered fascinating details about the city's biodiversity and culture, providing a truly local perspective. It's a fantastic activity that blends history, engineering, and nature!
Our tour guide Elmer took us through the Cinta Costera to the Amador Causeway to the Biomuseo where he dropped us off. We paid the admission fee then entered the exhibits which were very well designed and informative. A great place to bring kids and teens. Afterwards, he gave us an overview of the area as we drove to the Panama Canal. At the exhibit, we purchased tickets for the IMAX presentation and then sat along the bleacher area to wait for the ships to go through. We were able to see a ship go through and their staff waved to the crowds, they seemed as excited to see us as we were to see them, lol. Definitely recommend this tour, you'll definitely enjoy it.
Fantastic tour, our guide Aura was so informative and lovely. Biomuseo and Miarflores are both can't miss adventures.
Aura and the tour company is an excellent company to book your tours with Professional friendly on time courteous service Aura went above and beyond the call of the agenda I felt like I was hanging out with family or an awesome best friend Book your tour with them u won’t be disappointed Panama is a Mecca In my opinion worth visiting The dining won’t break your pocket From a roof top u can experience 5-6 parts of Panamanian cuisine See Casio Viejo See Avenida Balboa the beach etc
Our tour guide Jorge was very knowledgeable and helpful on our tours to the Biomuseo and Miraflores Locks. We even witnessed a ship passing through the Panama Canal. We had an amazing experience. Would definitely recommend this tour. Need more than 5 stars.
We went with Charlie, a wonderful guide. We enjoy learning about the history of Panama and the Canal. Super recommended.
It was an excellent excursion with Julio. Super completes all the information provided on the tour. Besides being very friendly and patient with my questions and time touring each place. I recommend it 100%! The Biomuseum is beautiful: each space is very well explained. The vehicle used: high-end and impeccable.
