We had an amazing experience on the Jungle Adventure & Gatun Lake Cruise with Panama Vibes Tour! Richard was an outstanding guide and an absolute wealth of knowledge. We learned so much about Panama’s history, the Gatun Lake area, and the incredible wildlife, birds, and vegetation throughout the jungle. The wildlife sightings made the experience even more incredible! We saw three different types of monkeys, a crocodile, a sloth, and butterflies practically the size of our heads! Richard’s knowledge and passion for sharing information about the area made the entire tour both fascinating and memorable. We cannot recommend this tour enough, especially with Richard as your guide. If you’re visiting Panama and looking for an informative, engaging, and unforgettable adventure, this is a must-do!

A fantastic experience from start to finish! Richard is an amazing tour guide: informative, articulate (perfect English) and with a great deal of information to share on the history, culture, geography, wildlife, etc of the region. We had a wonderful time seeing the Gamboa lake, monkeys, and hiking the jungle. We stopped at a few local places for drinks and bathrooms as well. We will recommend the tour to everyone when we discuss our Panama adventure!
Richar was a terrific guide. We saw a crocodile and its smaller cousin (with a fresh catch in its mouth), 3 types of monkeys, multiple bird types including a toucan take flight, and an active juvenile sloth. The guide kept us constantly entertained with relevant stories and information. Great tour and back at hotel in time for lunch.
All good, on time and nice stories.
Hold on to your hats you are in for a wild ride! We couldn’t believe how many different species of animals we saw. There were three kinds of monkeys, Iguanas, a crocodile, small bats and a sloth hiding in a tree. Alexander was enthusiastic and patient as you really have to look for the animals. He has a very bubbly personality that made the tour special! I would recommend going with him.
Richard provided a wealth of knowledge about the history of Panama and the canal. We got an up close and personal experience with several different monkeys. We saw crocodiles, Caymen’s, iguanas, basilisk, and anoles.
I had a great tour with Panama Vibes Tours to Gatun Lake and Monkey Island. They couldn't have been nicer to deal with, accommodated my last minute solo trip and picked me up as planned right at 6:50am. They even managed to fit in some nice sightseeing stops along the way, from the Centennial Bridge, Pedro Miguel Locks, Gambia Hotel and more. The guide was funny, spoke English well and was very easy going...especially when our boat broke down and we had to wait for another boat to pick us up. They delivered on tons of monkeys, sloths, baby bats and harpy eagles. Just missing the toucans. I give them a 5/5.
This was an amazing experience. As a local who grew up in the Canal Zone, Richard was incredibly knowledgeable, authentic, and enjoyable to spend a morning with. We learned so much and truly enjoyed the experience. We saw all of the species we'd hoped for and more!
We had an amazing time today with Gill! He was knowledgeable and fun to be around. I highly recommend him as a tour guide. This tour was extra special because you and your family are the only ones on the tour. Definitely worth the extra money.
Alex was amazing! We did a private tour with 3 coworkers after our morning meetings. We got to see 3 kinds of monkeys during our boat tour and pass by container shops on the lake going through the canal. The short walk had more monkeys and a sloth up in the trees. Alex had a great vibe, high energy, great with the monkeys, and very knowledgeable. Ask for Alex!
Richard was such a great guide. He was early picking us up but did not rush us out. He was so full of knowledge and info it blew us away. Also, his English is near perfect, which is helpful for those who don't speak Spanish well. He took us out and found so many animals for us to see. This activity is a boat ride followed by a walk through the rainforest on an old rock covered road. we continues to find a lot of great stuff and it was overall an amazing day. We liked Richard so much that we booked him for the following day. Everyone should travel with Richard while visiting Panama

We did the Gutan Lake Cruise with Guided Jungle Adventure and had an amazing experience. Our guide Gill was very relaxed, knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. He made the trip! We learned a lot during the tour and he gave honest answers to every question we had, including great tips for the rest of our travels in Panama. One of the main things I really wanted to see were crocodiles, and Gill really put in the effort to help us find them. In the end we succeeded and even spotted a baby crocodile, which was very special. We also saw monkeys and a sloth, and the scenery on the lake was absolutely beautiful. The whole tour was perfectly organized and felt very relaxed. I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Panama, especially if you enjoy nature and wildlife.
Gil was an amazing tour guide! Definitely all the bang for the buck! We had a boat and car to ourselves. Jose our captain was super knowledgeable as well, knew the islands well! Gil had interesting facts from the time we started to the time he dropped us off to his friend at the Mecardo de marisco for an amazing lunch with his friend Ramon. 100% recommend this company!
We were picked up by Gill at our hotel in a very comfortable (and clean) air conditioned car. He shared the history of the Panama Canal and provided sight seeing information on our way to Gamboa to board the waiting boat at Gatun Lake and Chagres River. The lizards, monkeys, sloths, crocodiles, and birds were a highlight of the trip. He spaced stops for restrooms for our comfort. The Gamboa Hotel stop was breathtaking. We can't express enough his professional and friendly conversation. He was timely at pick up and drop off - most appreciated. Highly recommend this trip ... and Gill!
Great experience. Gill our tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. Very good in English. Highly recommended.
Such an amazing tour! Armando was our tour guide and he made the tour. I have been on A LOT of tours in my life and this was one of my favorites because of him. The Panama Cabal portion was interesting but the highlight was the monkey portion. Our tour was private so we got right up front when the monkeys came. Such beautiful and gentle creatures. I feel so lucky to have gotten to experience this and meet such an amazing person in Armando.
We had a great time! Gil was considerate, thorough, and we moved from location smoothly. The car ride was swift and we saw so, so many animals, including crocs. Our kids had so much fun!
We really enjoyed this tour. We saw different types of monkeys, iguanas, and, of course, sloths.
Gil was amazing. My son and I feel so fortunate that he was our guide. We saw so many things and he is extremely knowledgeable so you won’t leave without learning many things. We felt very safe and well taken care of. He started by telling us how the day would go so we didn’t ever need to wonder what was next. He stuck to the plan and was extremely professional. Thanks, Gil, for making our first trip to Panama something to remember.
Gil was a great guide. Very knowledgeable and open to learning. He is experienced and kind. He went out of his way to ensure we would have a five star experience. If you can get Gil as your guide, go for it.
Excellent experience in small boat on the canal. Feeding monkeys was a highlight. Bring fruit or peanuts though as your operator didn’t have much food and that was the best part ! Gabriel is excellent tour guide. Knowledgeable and perfect English.
Everything we did was amazing. The tour guide was really nice as well, he just looked hungover or tired. No issue with me, just something I noticed
Gill was awesome. Great experience, saw everything on the list but even if we hadn’t I still would’ve enjoyed it.
My husband and I had a wonderful time on the tour to the Soberiano national Park. Gill was our guide and driver, he was professional, very knowledgeable, attentive, and extremely nice. We had a fantastic time on a speedboat tour through the Gatun Lake. We saw many monkeys, a toucan bird and other interesting wildlife. Gil also explained to us in detail how the canal and locks work. We then went on a nature walk on the pipeline road which we enjoyed immensely. I highly recommend the tour, the best part was the boat ride and having Gil as a guide.
Gil was a superb tour guide who spoke fluent English, while the tour itself was delightful! We saw the beauty of Lake Gatun while we received history on the Panama Canal, then we saw howler monkeys, Capuchin monkeys and Tamarinds...all close up in their element (monkey islands...the Capuchins and Tamarinds actually came aboard our boat to get some nuts from our hands). We also saw and fed some crocodiles, briefly visited a beautiful resort for a food/bathroom break, and walked a rock/dirt road through a national park (where we saw a Coati and a lot of nature). Overall, the tour was fantastic and we highly recommend it!
Amazing day! Richard G was a super guide, sharing so much information about panama with us. And the monkeys were abundant and the boat ride beautiful.
Our pick up at the hotel was so easy and our guide was actually a few minutes early! The tour was so wonderful! We enjoyed our guide (Gill) and he also had a great sense of humor. Our boat ride to see the monkeys was smooth and Carlos (our captain) knew exactly where to go to get us close to the monkeys. We even stopped to get pictures of a crocodile that he spotted on the ride back! The walk through the National Park included seeing a sloth! Overall, we wouldn’t hesitate to take this Jungle Adventure again. Highly recommend this tour!
Gil was a very personable guide who was very informative and his pride of Panama was evident. We learned a lot about Gatun Lake area and Chagres River along with cruising near and around ships passing through to the canal. Our boat captain with input also from Gil got us up close and personal with the monkeys, iguana and bats. We enjoyed the laid back approach as well as our hike into the jungle area. Enjoyable outing. Gracias Gil
Simply stated: fantastic. We had a family group of 16, ages 7-80, and everyone loved it. We saw 3 types of monkeys, a sloth, and a coati ( which Panamanians call “gato solo.” Our tour guide Anna, was energetic, cheerful, smart and kind. A special shout-out goes to our contact at Panama Vibes, Yoan Veliz. He is smart, knowledgeable, kind, flexible and articulate. He is an excellent representative for the tour company.
We were a group of seven and had an excellent day exploring Panama with Gill. From the moment we met, his energy was infectious, and he kept everyone engaged throughout the experience. He was knowledgeable, personable, and flexible, taking time to tailor the tour to our interests and pace. Gill balanced history, local stories, and humour in a way that made the day both informative and fun. Our group ranged in age from 11 to 80 and every single person felt included and entertained. It was well organized, relaxed, and memorable, and we would recommend Gill to anyone visiting Panama.
Richard was an amazing guide! He picked us up at our hotel and provided great history throughout the day. In a few short hours we saw 3 types of monkeys, crocodiles and caiman, turtles, lizards, iguanas, agoutis, and too many birds to count. The car and boat were comfortable. A great way to see the canal and wildlife first hand!
Beautiful views, great guide. We ended up getting a lot of rain but it was still an awesome way to see a bunch of diverse animals
Had a really good time on this tour with my girlfriend. The trip was well-organized, relaxing, and a fun way to see the wildlife and jungle. The guide was friendly and professional, and the whole experience felt smooth from start to finish. Definitely worth it and easy to recommend.
If you do this tour, ask for Richard. He was absolutely incredible. His knowledge of Panama and all it has to offer made this experience 💯 times better.
Great experience he was early in picking us up. He was very knowledgeable about the city and answered all of our questions. The tour was fun had a great time learning about Panama as a whole. I'd definitely recommend this tour.
Richard was a great guide and gave us an amazing amount of info on many topics relevant to Panamá. We really enjoyed the boat ride out into the canal and extending onto lake Gatún visiting various islets to see monkeys and birds.
This was an excellent tour where you get a chance to close to some of the very diverse animal life of Panama. It begins in Gatun Lake where you ride in a boat to various spots in order to see the different species. What's more, is that the tour guide will call the monkeys and other primate species over to the boat, and you get a chance to feed them. A nice bonus to this portion of the tour is the fact that, because the lake is part of the path of the Panama Canal, you get to see massive freighters pass through the same area you're in. It was an interesting juxtaposition to see these along with the fascinating wildlife of the area. The tour continues with a walk down the Pipeline Trail to see even more wildlife. Here, you get a chance to observe more monkeys, birds and even sloths. Our tour guide, Alex, was very knowledgeable and engaging and made the tour extremely fun. Highly recommended as part of a tour of the Panama City area.
We took this tour with two friends to visit Monkey Island and walk Pipeline Road, and it was fantastic. The guide picked us up from our hotel and shared lots of interesting facts about Panama and the area. The boat ride on Gatun Lake was comfortable and offered beautiful views. We saw several monkey species up close, some even came onto the boat to be fed. Afterward, we explored Pipeline Road, where we spotted more wildlife like monkeys, birds, and insects, as well as amazing tropical plants. Overall, it was a well-organized and memorable experience — highly recommended for anyone visiting Panama who enjoys nature and wildlife.
100% recommend this trip. Our guide Alex was hilarious, knowledgeable and got gave us a first class experience. Nice vehicle to get to/from Gamboa. Alex knew where all the monkeys and tamarins were and called them to us. They climbed on the boat and jumped on us! Also saw bats, toucans, crocs, a sloth and lots of others. No hidden fees
This was the most incredible tour I've ever experienced. The overall experience was impeccable but moreover, our guide Richard was extremely knowledgeable and I learned so much from him. He provided an exceptional private tour and was so accommodating. We loved our tour so much that we asked for another tour the next day. I could listen to Richard share his knowledge of the canal and the history of Panama all day. I can't recommend Richard enough!
Full service experience, extremely knowledgeable and personable tour guide. Everything I could have expected and so much more. We will absolutely be back and utilize this again.
Great experience and highly recommend it! Alex is definitely the guide to have for this adventure. We will be back in the future and definitely use this company again and will refer everybody to them.
We had a fantastic trip with Richard! He took very good care of my family and I. We got a chance to see a lot of monkeys! I would highly recommend him.
Richard took us on a lovely tour of the canal and to see the monkeys. He was very knowledgeable not just about the canal but also about Panama's history and culture.
Yoan is a wonderful human. He arranged to pick us up at the airport and to eventually take us back to airport for our return flight as well. On our early morning return flight he even had snacks for us! Gus was our docent on our adventure to Monkey Island. He was also so knowledgeable and fun to be with too! Feeding the monkeys and iguanas, seeing bats and birds. You all made this a trip of a lifetime and certainly one we will remember. Looking forward to a return visit one day! Thank you both so much
We enjoyed our trip with Alex a lot, he is very knowledgeable about the wildlife he answered all our questions enthusiastically and pointed out all the animals that showed up that day. At the end of the tour he recommended us a traditional food market where we had fantastic lunch. We highly recommend a trip with Alex 😁🦜
Saw tons of animals, monkeys, birds, sloths. The boat tour was fun and informative. Hiking was fantastic and we had an amazing guide Alex who answered all our questions and spotted animals we would have never seen ourselves. He was great with our kids as well. Highly recommended.
Our trip was over all Amazing!!!! Our tour guide Alex made sure we had the full experience. Before we made it he pulled over on the side of the road to make sure we were able to get a close look at a 3 toed sloath hanging out in the tree. On the boat ride we got up close to the monkeys. Both me and my husband were able to feed them right out of our hands . Finally the hike allowed us to see many different birds. Alex was able to identify the bird species by their calls. This tour was a must see and definitely a highlight of our trip!!!
Very good experience. Perfect communication. Very detailed information throughout the entire trip. The guide took a great effort to locate animals.
