Horseback Riding In The Jungle Near Panama City

Christian was a lovely guide as we took a serene walk through the forest. We even got a gallop a few times and he took pictures and videos.

So much fun! The horseback ride was comfortable and the transport to and from the farm was nice. It felt like a private tour from start to finish.

We had the most amazing day in Cerro Azul with Christian. Highly recommend this tour. There were three of us in our group, and it was so nice to have our own private tour. Pick up at our hotel was on time, in a very comfortable vehicle. Once at the ranch, the horses are very well cared for. Christian chose horses for us based on our experience and comfort level. We had two ladies who had riden before, and I was first timer. Along with the ranch hand who came with us, they were very helpful and supportive for someone a little nervous. We came across an unexpected obstacle, where a tree had come down across the trail. They carefully led us one by one down the safest route, and we were able to continue the rest of the trail. Partway through the ride, we stopped for a rest and water that Christian had brought along for us. This was such a relaxed, authentic way to see the beautiful countryside outside of the City. Absolutely recommend the horse riding tour and our guide Christian!

Unique experience to ride a horse through the Panama jungle, also through small rivers. For all levels, I’m a beginner and they made sure I was taken care of. The horses are situated at a beautiful country club. The guide was calm, kind and helpful. Not too far from the city of Panama.

Had a fantastic ride with a very well-trained horse who was extremely calm the whole ride. The tour went over a mixture of terrain, with a substantial amount of time in the rain-forest. My guide did an excellent job making sure I was comfortable with riding and did his best to try and spot wildlife along our way. I loved that a group of dogs from the ranch came along with us, very fun seeing them scurry around. The trails we went through were very beautiful and peaceful and I had an excellent time all-around.

What a fantastic Tour! Our guide Eustacio was fantastic, right from pickup. A beautiful drive up to Cerro Azul. We spent about 2 hours on a ride(and you really do go through some forest/jungle) stopped part way near a little stream to have a break and some water before heading back. Horses were in great condition. I would gladly do this tour again!

I enjoyed this experience very much especially since it was my first time. Christian was a great guide and helped me throughout the whole experience. Next time I do this, I plan on going even faster now that I understand the basics!

The tour guide, Christian Piccoli, arrived at our hotel at the time he stated he would. This may sound like an obvious thing however since arriving in Panama we have found time is “relative”. The transportation was in a clean, air conditioned SUV that Christian drove in a safe manner. Once again, safe driving would be expected however we have found that driving in Panama is an “extreme experience” and not for the faint of heart. The horse riding was on sure footed, well trained horses. We rode through the local countryside, forest and multiple stream crossing. There wasn’t any recent rain so the insects were not an issue however we would recommend sunscreen, insect repellent, hat and sunglasses. Christian was easy to speak with, knowledgeable about the horses and surroundings. This was well worth the cost and a very enjoyable experience. We would highly recommend this tour guide and trip.

Christian was a great guide and did an excellent job with all level of riders in our group. Everyone was friendly and helpful and did an exceptional job with the ride!!

Vivator is a horrible service. They don’t give you enough information to determine if it’s the area you are visiting and when I did it was somewhere totally different and wouldn’t give a refund toward other things to do. Never got to take the ride.

If I could rate it more I would. This is HANDS DOWN the BEST excursion for horses I have EVER had. The guide Christian was AMAZING!!! He fully let us handle our horses and they weren't just following in a line. Great experience!!! Would do it everyday if I could!!

The Tour Guide Christian was absolutely excellent. From Hotel pick up to drop off he was very helpful, spoke fluent English, shared lots of local information and was very well regarded by the people at the Ranch. It was an unforgettable experience with great people and I would have no hesitation recommending it to anyone and will plan to do it again on my next trip to Panama. Quite close to the PTY airport but in the mountains and beautiful views back to the city skyscrapers from the Hacienda Club
