Next, we will take a walk through the charming cobbled streets of the Old Town. With a history that goes back to 1673 and a splendid colonial architecture declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. There we will visit its squares, the imposing Metropolitan Cathedral and the Malecón, from which you can see a splendid view of the modern city.
From there we will head towards the Amador Causeway, an old breakwater created with material removed during the construction of the Canal, connecting 3 small islands where you can enjoy one of the best views of the city's skyline and take photos of the colorful letters of PANAMA.
Our guide will pick you up at your place of accommodation. We will go to the Panama Canal Visitors Center at the Miraflores Locks, where you will be able to observe the ships raising or lowering their level as they transit through the locks.
On our way back to the city we will visit the famous Bridge of the Americas, built in 1962, being the first bridge to cross the line of the Panama Canal.
Finally we will take a panoramic tour of the modern city, where you will be able to contemplate the architecture of the imposing skyscrapers and the financial district.
Self paced. Eddie was awesome and very informative, friendly and let us take many key photos. Only negative comment would be about vehicle…. kinda tight for 4 adults and windows did not work so photo taking was a challenge.
The canal experience was amazing, but the rest of the tour was fast, and driving around, not stopping to see anything up close.

Very nice tour to see Panama canal and part of the city. Our tour dive guide Eduardo was very polite to give us all the info end suggestions about the canal and the old city. We stopped for shopping also and he indicated us nice restaurants for a lunch. Pick up perfect and on time .

The guide, José, was very friendly and very knowledgeable about the history of the Canal and the impact on the lives of the people of Panamá. Things they do not tell you in an IMAX movie. Because this was a private tour, we were able to make adjustments based what we wanted to see and my physical limitations - post knee surgery. José still gave us a fantastic tour of the city even though I could not walk parts of it. We highly recommend this tour.

I traveled from Montreal and booked the Historical Private Tour in Panama City and the Panama Canal with pickup, and it was an excellent experience from start to finish. The driver arrived on time, making the day stress‑free. Our guide, Eduardo, was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and engaging, sharing fascinating details about Panama’s history, the old city, and the engineering marvel of the Canal. One of the highlights was the visit to the Museo de la Ciudad / Casa de la Municipalidad, where we were warmly greeted by Ilyana. She guided us through the rooms with pride, explaining the purpose of the spaces, the furniture, and the history behind them. Her passion made the experience even more memorable. I especially loved the walk in Casco Viejo, which gave me a deeper appreciation of the city’s culture. I enjoyed it so much that two days later, my mother and I returned to Plaza de Francia to visit the merchants and bought beautiful hats and bags from the Gunas. Overall, this tour was well‑organized, comfortable, and enriching. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to experience Panama’s history and culture in a personalized way

Eddie was a very experienced regarding the history of Panama. The traffic getting to and from Old Town was horrible. I would recommend taking this tour, much nicer than traveling with a bus load of people.

Eduardo (Eddie) was such a great tour guide. Our almost 6 hour tour in Panama went smoothly, and we were able to see everything we wanted to see during our trip.
Our guide, Eddie, met us inside the port at Fuerte Amador as I use a wheelchair and he was very knowledgeable about Panama City and the region. He took us on a thorough and fascinating drive around the Casco Viejo, the new city and the coast. As we were on a Panama Canal Transit cruise we did not visit the Canal Information Centre. We finished our tour with a coffee and chat with Eddie in the deliciously air-conditioned MultiPlaza Shopping Mall in the new city. Eddie then took us back to the cruise port.
Tour guide (Eddie) is very knowledgeable and explains in good English the history of the canal and other aspects of Panama history as well as current information. He took us to good areas to see how diverse the city and old town is.

Great overview of the canal, city and knowledgeable guide made for a wonderful experience. Visiting the canal and historical sites with Liz was excellent.
During the tour I noticed our guide always chatting with another guy at certain stops. I recall one stop I left the bag with my wallet in the vehicle to take pictures. Two hours later into the tour I stated receiving notification from my Credit card Company of possible fraud over $45,000.00. After thinking about it, it seem very suspicious this guy was always around at each stop chatting with the guide, then my wallet is missing and charges made!

The Tour goes at your pace (fast or slow) Our Guide Liz was great, she was extremely knowledgeable and also gave us alot of tips and ideas on how we can maximize our panama experience. It was a mesmerizing experience! Andrés was our tour guide and he was amazing. From the pick up, to our every question or need Andrés was wonderful. The Panama Canal, the Old City, the modern city, the Pacific Ocean view, the pictures, snacks, and the souvenirs were more than I expected. The transportation was huge and clean.
