After pick up from your accommodation in downtown of Panama City, we will take you to the Panama Canal Visitors Center at Miraflores Locks where we will see together the ships going through the Canal and discuss about the history of the Canal and how it works. This visit is complemented by watching a short movie.
After visiting the Panama Canal, we will go through Balboa and Canal Zone, former USA territory in Panama, in our way to the Amador Causeway, a road connecting to 3 islands at the entrance of the Panama Canal. This is a place with beautiful landscapes at the ocean, perfect for great pictures of the Panama City's skyline.

Javier was very thorough and gave us not only a tour of different parts of Panama City, but also a very good overview of life in Panama. I think we saw all the high points of the city and of the canal as well as history of Panama going back to the overthrow of Spain. We rented a car to do our own thing but then I decided to do this trip and let me tell you it was worth every penny. Our tour guide Daniela was very professional and knowledgeable about everything and ee met a couple who was on the same tour they were wonderful so it made the tour even better will definitely recommend it.

The guide Luis is a very nice friendly guy but seemed to be in a rush to avoid traffic got to casco viejo 1:50pm and by 2:35 aprox we were out we only spent 45 minutes out of the 2 hours that were supposed to be part of the tour and mostly trying to find him since he would just drop us off , didn’t really get to see or do much just two free small museums. On the way to causeway couldn’t take pictures from a moving car and windows only opened half way,got to a duty free he took us and were only able to take a picture at the Panama letters we were out in a rush. the complementary bottle of water was never offered no big deal but why include in the booking.. got to the Panama Canal which was an extra $ 35.44 fee had a nice time but as usual he seemed in a hurry to avoid trafic I’m sure he can do much better. Also we were supposed to do the tour with a small group but it was only us …
Yet to have a bad tour in Panama! Ruben kept the streak alive! He was well informed and kind which is a great combination for a guide. Took us to several interesting sites and we finished the tour with Geisha coffee (which is delicious btw) at a low keyish shop that actually sold it for a reasonable price compared to other places in the same area.
Our driver/tour guide was absolutely awesome. You do have to pay for the actual canal tour but it was worth the experience. We did visit Casco Viejo the day prior so opted out for that part of the tour but returned at night which was a completely different vibe.

A lot of fun and good information. Wish we were informed that we could buy our tickets to visit the Panama canal ahead of time (they are not included in the tour price itself) so that we didn't have to wait so long to get in. We did see one ship leaving the lock but we missed the water levels changing. Would be nice if possible to adjust timing to be able to witness the full crossing. But I understand ship schedules change and it's not entirely predictable.

We had a great experience with Cesar. He was on time for the pic up. He tailored our experience to what we wanted to see and explore. He is very knowledgeable about the history of Panama and the landmarks of the city. He was patient and helpful to our mother who is an 82-year old lady with mobility problems. First of all, I booked before visiting Panama and the communication was so prompt and helpful despite the late hour. On the day of our tour Demetrio was fun, informative and so patient (we spent forever deciding on what souvenirs to buy). It felt like we were with our friend and not a guide. He was also really good at helping us capture some great photos. Overall, the experience was excellent from the assistance with the booking process, to the fun and informative day of the tour. Having a vehicle take us around also helped with cooling down as the day got hotter. Definitely would recommend using Safe Transportation for a city tour!

On June 26 I had a great outing getting to see the Panama Canal and the Old City. I forget the name of our tour guide, he is an older guy and a true gentlemen. He took very good photos of me in the old city. He also showed me a nice restaurant which was reasonably priced and patiently waited outside while I ate my food. Another thing stood out to me was, our tour was supposed to be for only four hours but it was more important to him that we had a good time and saw everything we want to see and our outing ended up being 5 to 5.5 hours. If you want a nice city tour I strongly recommend giving this agency a chance.

Last minute change of plans due to visitor centre closing in the afternoon (VIP visiting from the States), but vendor was prompt and arranged for changed timing and pick up at airport. Quite well organised overall. However, sadly we didn't see any big ships passing the canal (not sure how the morning timing works) which was explained to us later only. Guide was a little lacking in sharing of knowledge, but overall, still pleasant.
